Eyes closed, Bobby emersed himself in the kiss. The softness of Cayden's full lips and the feel of finger nails pressing into Bobby's back got a fire building inside him. He felt like tossing Cayden over his shoulder, carry him to seclusion and doing all sort of things to the omega until the fire was quenched for both of them. It wasn't a one-sided feeling either. Cayden's body was hard, soft, and giving off his own special brand of perfume that Bobby couldn't get enough of.

The moment was ruined when a brash, younger alpha tapping Bobby's shoulder. An overly pleasant voice said, "Can I cut in? Cayden owes me a dance."

The hunter tensed up turned to the upstart and gave him the full Singer glare. Cayden patted Bobby's chest, "It's just one dance. Promise we will meet up after?"

Bobby nodded, "Sure, go have your dance."

He left the party and headed back to his room to lick his wounds, do a little right handed love and tell himself he was just fine on his own. No one except another older, alpha could understand how painful it was to see a fine looking young buck dance off with your potential lover. A guy just can't punch someone for requesting a dance, even if he wanted to knock the younger man onto his perky ass.

….

It felt like the twins were vibing on the music and having their own dance while their semi-patient and exhausted mom watched the couples moving in the dim light, or what he could see of them through the bedroom window. The omega was on edge, too close to giving birth to think of anything else and he could not wait to leave the day after tomorrow to feather his nests at the cabin and the house.

Sam rushed in clutching a transistor radio and held it up to Dean, "Dean, there's a broadcast!" The brothers listened closely to the man from who knew where, talking about the virus and how the very sick were captured and put down immediately then burned. The sick in the early stages were sent to holding facilities. Anyone harboring one of the sick would be arrested.

The brothers were excited to hear an actual radio broadcast even though they were both infected but the taint of Sam's demon blood, kept them asymptomatic. Sam and Dean thought of their kids and how they needed to keep them safe. Sam regretted letting Dean listen to it at all. He was stressed enough.

Sam's long fingers easily covered the expanse of his brother's belly and felt the twins moving, "I bet I could hold one in each hand. What are they doing, having a party?"

"They like the music. I'm betting the kids end up loving classic rock."

"I don't think they can hear the music."

"Sure they can. I hear it and it funnels down to them."

Dean was all white teeth and big, sun shiny smiles and Sam wanted to eat him right up he was so adorable, "Ah, your so damn cute."

"Bunnies are cute, I'm handsome."

The next morning, Sam and Cal got up early, ate quickly and headed out to gather the promised supplies for the trip back. It was just Alfie, Bobby, and Dean at the table with their instant coffee, and bread. Alfie took a sip of coffee, glaring at Bobby over the rim of the cup. The elder hunter frowned at the usually cheery young man.

"You got a bee in your bonnet, boy?"

Alfie sat up straight and lowered his mug, "For being such a smart guy, you are really stupid."

"The last fella who called me stupid is wearing dentures now. You are lucky I've got a soft spot for you, kid. Explain yourself."

The omega took a big breath and exhaled before going into his explanation, "You are stupid because you left the party just because Cayden danced with someone else even though you promised to meet him after. Your stubborn and backward and he's sad and we are leaving tomorrow. Alfie stood suddenly and pointed to the door, "Go talk to him before it's too late."

Dean added, "The kid is right, if you don't talk to him then you'll never know." As pregnant as he was, he could have called Bobby everything in the book and walk away without so much as a scowl.

"I guess news travels fast around here."

Bobby downed his bad coffee then slammed the mug on the table, stood and marched out the door.

Alfie looked to Dean, who he looked up to, "Should I have kept quiet? Bobby looked pretty mad."

"Nah, he needed a kick in the pants. What you saw there was determined Bobby Singer. Good job, Alfie."

…..

Cayden open the door and found Bobby Singer there, holding a bouquet of hastily picked flowers he stole from peoples' gardens on the way there. He thrust the flowers towards Cayden and the omega took them. Bobby barged past and took a seat.

"Um, do you want some coffee?"

"I didn't come for coffee." Bobby noticed the omega looked rough with his unkempt hair and red eyes. "Did you have a late night?" Bobby was about to see the usually calm omega's other side.

Cayden snapped, "You have got some nerve asking that. You said you'd meet me after the dance with my cousin and then you vanished! I don't do the chasing and don't have time for games." He calmed himself before continuing, "You're leaving anyway so maybe this is for the best."

"I came here to tell you exactly who I am and what you'd be getting into if you came home with me. "I'm grumpy, I'm a lot older than you, I drink too much, I'm a hunter and not just a hunter of infected, I kill monsters, all kinds of 'em and the supernatural, I'm talkin' demons…did you know there were demons and Hell and all the rest of it?"

"I-I…no, I didn't."

"I've done things that will turn your hair white, I've killed humans because they earned a dirt nap. My childhood was bad but even though I didn't have an example of a good father, I raised Sam and Dean and I think I did an ok job. I'm proud of them and I love 'em to death but don't tell them that, they already know it. I love the squirt too, what I'm sayin' is, it's a package deal, a family. I'm an early riser, need my coffee, I don't have any friends except for Rufus, I can cook ok but don't mind a hand in the kitchen or the garden, if you were my mate I'd like you by my side and we can teach each other things, I'm gonna be a grandpa so you'd be a grandma and…well I guess that's it for now.

It was one big run on sentence with barely a breath between words and before Bobby could start talking again, Cayden stopped him with an embrace.

"Hey, stop, you had me at "I'm grumpy". I want to know all about you but we've got time, now that I know you want to give us a shot. I only ask that if things really don't work out, you'll bring me back, I couldn't live alone in this world. I need a family unit, love, and protection."

"I can promise you that." Bobby hugged Cayden a little tighter, "That was some kiss last night…it got me feelin' all kind of ways."

Bobby Singer had a low, rumbly voice, the kind that could send the good kind of shivers through a person and had Cayden thinking of all sorts of debauched scenarios.

"Mmm, Bobby, I need to get packing, tomorrow will come fast."

"Need some help?"

"If you stay, we'll never get anything done…if you know what I mean." He burst out in giggles when Bobby's eyes opened wide.

A knock at the door put a halt on things. A friend had stopped by with a jar of honey and upon hearing about Cayden's move, he immediately volunteered to help pack his friends belongings.

Bobby walked back with a spring in his step and a song to sing, the song was "Kiss an Angel Good Morning", he was no Charley Pride but sometimes the moment overtakes you and you cannot help but sing. The only creatures to hear and observe the noisy human were a couple of curious squirrels.

….

Their leaving was met with much less fanfare or drama then when they arrived.

Alfie was the most dramatic as he said goodbye to all his new friends but he was also excited to get home to his Shea and finally find out what the big deal was about this whole sex thing. Cayden had a few suitcases and a couple boxes but he also had about 10 chickens and one rooster on a trailer hooked up to the truck. The chickens were a goodbye gift from the elders as one of their own went on a new adventure into to the big, wide, dangerous world.

Dean drummed is fingers on Baby's dash as Sam finished up the goodbyes. He wanted to get on the road while the day was young and the babies were napping. He had a nightmare they busted out of him like those Xenomorph babies from Alien and was still jumpy about the dark dream hours later. When Sam hopped in the driver's seat, Dean shot a jealous look because he wasn't driving but he'd gotten so big that it wasn't comfortable or safe.

Sam was looking especially tasty in his white tank top that showed off all his muscle and tanned, smooth skin. It had been a minute since they had actual sex and Dean couldn't wait to be back to fighting shape and ride that mountain till he dropped but he settled for a snack and a nap instead and let his brother do the driving.

…..

They came home to an overgrown yard and a weed filled garden with only the potatoes Bobby planted growing tall and strong. His first concern was helping a disoriented Cayden with the chickens while the boys opened up and aired out the house. The chickens were placed in one of the sheds, the one with all the windows along with water and feed. Tomorrow he would build nesting boxes and roosts and put up chicken wire but today he was too exhausted for all that.

Alfie was the first to the front door where he found dead bouquets of flowers on the porch left by Sheamus. Each had a little note with sweet loving words scrawled upon it. There was a fresh bunch there meaning he'd been there already. Alfie gathered up the notes, kept the fresh bouquet of cone flowers and brought them inside. His heart was singing as he spun around like an animated princess, this meant Shea hadn't met someone else and forgot all about Alfie and he still had a chance with his soldier-principal.

Sam unloaded their personal belongings and the food sent along. They now had a pressure canner which would be essential for everything the water bath wouldn't be safe for. The young alpha was glad to be home, he couldn't think about the cabin today and imagined how wild and overgrown it was. His priority now was his brother, getting Dean settled and taking care of him without being too obvious about it. The omega vacillated between wanting the help he needed and fierce independence plus trying to do things he really shouldn't.

Dean's first stop was to his bedroom and as soon as he walked in his entire being relaxed, he was home. Bobby's house would always be home no matter where Sam and Dean ended up, a place of comfort, safety and family. The place where so much of his life had changed for the better, it was the brother's haven. He sat heavily in the old, rescued recliner in the corner and put his tired swollen feet up and kicked off the sandals he had on. The babies weren't moving as much, Dean assumed because they were crammed in there. It wouldn't be long now, just a few weeks and he was terrified and no amount of experience he had raising Sam would make him feel any less than that.

He dozed off and woke to a darkening sky and the sun was nothing but a rapidly vanishing glow a world away. Sam brought him soup and they ate right there, Sam sitting at his feet.

They talked about the cabin and how much clean up there would be and how eventually they'd need to add an extra room. Sam brought up starting tomatoes and other seeds tomorrow. Dean asked if he could do a row of bacon plants and Sam laughed at his brother's joke, it made Dean happy and in turn that made him happy.

Names, names, names, baby names, they tossed some around for an hour or so, made lists, nixed some of them and check marked others. Sam rubbed Dean's sweaty, puffy feet and didn't mind at all they were funky, it had been a long day and right now Cayden was showering the smell of chickens and sweat off in a cold shower. At least the shower was working, cold or not. Bobby was next because they were both too new to this relationship to hop in together but that would come in time. Sam winced just picturing the two showering together, he hoped they weren't going to be noisy.

As if reading his brother's mind, a half-asleep Dean mumbled, "Here's hoping Cayden isn't a screamer."

….

Bobby hugged the extra blanket and pillow to his chest, "If you want, you can sleep in Alfie's room or I could take the couch or…?"

Cayden dropped the robe Bobby gave him and smirked at the wide eyed alpha, "I'll take the "or" option. I'll try not to be noisy."

Bobby dropped the blanket and pillow, exposing the tent in his boxers, "The carpets sure match the drapes." "Look at that auburn bush…I bet he's all pink and pretty…."

….

Dean glanced at the clock and it was it was only one in the morning. He could not calm his mind so he nudged Sam because misery loves company.

"Sam, wake up."

Sam bolted up right, eyes wide open, "Is it time?"

"Nah, I just can't sleep. Tomorrow, promise me you'll round up the vet."

"Promise."

"Pay her with peanut butter. Bobby said she loves peanut butter."

"Ok."

"I wish we could get ahold of Val's hunter group; I think one of them was a doula. Maybe one of them used to be a nurse or doctor, what do you think?"

"I think tomorrow I'm going be tracking people down."

"Love you, Sammy."

"Love you too."
