Story Start!

"Okay, we will be splitting up into 3 teams for this Island."

They made it to Wyvern Island with only a few issues, like dealing with more Skeleton Crews and the occassional Flying Shark that would jump out of the water and land on the deck. The first time seeing one of those had been a damn heart attack for Naruto, but Melusine put down the shark by herself, with very little trouble on her part.

That night Beni made shark fin soup.

"Shuten, Beni-Enma, and Tamamo, you three will stay on the ship and protect it. Beni, since you're the fastest, you keep the Holy Grail on you at ALL costs. If somebody attacks the ship you don't think you 3 can beat, abandon Shuten and Tamamo and come find me." Naruto put the 1st Team together.

"I'm the fastest." Melusine corrected Naruto, since she was the fastest servant that he had. She pushed her cheek up against his elbow. Naruto ignored her and pointed to Beni, before he tossed the Holy Grail to her so that she could protect it. She placed it in her sleeve and nodded to him.

"So we're just sacrifices then... ehehe." Shuten laughed.

"I mean... if a threat appears that YOU and Tamamo can't beat, then Beni has no chance either. It's better for her to survive with the grail, and all 3 of you die and we lose the grail. Okay, the second team will be Ishtar, Van Gogh, and Anne and Mary." Naruto placed the second team together. "Kill Wyverns." Naruto gave them that one job to do.

"That's it?" Ishtar was disappointed she didn't get a better job.

Naruto nodded.

"Yep, with Anne and Mary having experience on islands, and you being a powerhouse... and Van Gogh not being a slouch, you three can kill enough Wyverns to cover the entire ship in scales easily." Naruto picked them for that purpose. Honestly, ANY team could easily go out and simply kill wyverns. He wanted 3 power houses defending the ship though, so he put 3 of his stronger servants on ship and grail defense.

"Pfft, we'll be done in a hour at most." Ishtar laughed.

Van Gogh was not so certain, but didn't speak out any concerns she may have.

"Consider the fake dragons slain then." His pirate duo spoke, mostly Anne speaking.

"Finally, Ishtar noticed there was smoke, looking like campfire smoke, when we got here. Melusine, Atalanta, and I are going to investigate. Melusine is the strongest, so she should stay with me... and Atalanta can smell any danger from miles away. If she smells another Master, nobody is better than her for that." Naruto pointed to Atalanta, who nodded her head in understanding.

She respected that Naruto was putting her abilities to proper use at least, but she also appreciated that she wasn't seeing combat against the wyverns. Wyverns weren't all that strong, and just were not good prey to go against.

"Very well, I'll carry you Master, Melusine can fly next to us."

"I don't need it, thanks for the concern, lets get going." Naruto took a deep breath, before he exhauled and a red mist came from his mouth. Naruto's eyes turned burning red and his whisker marks thickened up. Naruto jumped a clear 100 feet across the beach and landed on a tree branch, before he started to jump through the woods.

Atalanta joined him, and Melusine levitated, before she caught up with Naruto and flew next to him as he jumped through the trees like it was second nature. Atalanta caught up and started to jump on all fours, acting like a cat jumping as she stayed next to Naruto.

Melusine kept a neutral face.

"Don't forget, I'm the descendant of not only Tamamo no Mae, but Ibuki-Douji. I've got the blood of Foxes and Gods in my veins." Naruto could keep up with a servant if he pushed his blood and brought it boiling to the surface. It was painful and stamina consuming for him to fight in his enhanced state, but if he was just using it to travel through the trees, the wear on his body would be much more manageable.

"Oh?"

"Tamamo on my Mom's side of the family, and Ibuki on... also my Mom's side, but my Mom didn't really inherit any Ibuki power." Naruto explained a little of his heritage. "How about you Melu?" Naruto asked his floating servant.

She smiled.

"I'm just as lump of flesh, my Master... you... are the reason I can take this form. That is all for now." Melusine was done speaking about herself. Naruto glanced towards Atalanta, who was paying attention to their surroundings as they jumped through the trees. They had a clear destination in mind. "... I'm a Dragon Fairy." Melusine added to make herself seem even more impressive.

Naruto hummed in agreement, because being a Dragon and Fairy actually was pretty interesting.

-Back at the Ship-

3 youkai on a ship.

It was almost a joke waiting to happen.

"... So... we were summoned by our descendant." Tamamo tried to start a convsersation with Shuten, who was just drinking.

"He isn't my descendant, he's my other parts descendant. That makes him only slightly related to me." Shuten wasn't smiling when she answered. She took another drink though and smiled again. Beni was sitting on her knees with her sword in her lap, already unsheathed and waiting for any potential attacks. "It is interesting though... he must be in agony boiling his blood like that. I wonder, will he let his wild oni side rampage... I can only imagine how his urges manifested." Shuten laughed under her breath.

Was her Master a Highschool Conquerer that went from place to place, taking whatever he wanted and doing whatever he pleased? The blood that flowed into him was certainly potent, though it was diluted by many generations of humans.

"I think he's pretty cute. I mean, we're so many generations apart, would it be weird for me to hit on him... just a little?" Tamamo walked around the ship, bored out of her mind. She allowed herself to answer the call of her summoning, because she wanted to have a romance with her Master. That was kind of weird now that her master was her distant descendant. "It wouldn't be too weird... I mean, other than our faces, we don't resemble each other too much... so not weird." Tamamo reasoned with Shuten.

Shuten just laughed.

"Do what you want, even if he was your child, do what you want. No reason to not enjoy yourself in this second life." Shuten could barely wait for the bloodshed to start, but she would also enjoy herself while waiting for the blood to start spilling.

Beni opened her eyes.

"Master is good, while you 2 are evil... in that, he has not inherited anything from you. His heart is good, strong, and kind... why did he ask me to team up with you two?" Beni whispered to herself as she sat perfectly still. She kept her ears trained on any sounds that could indicate an attack.

"Because we compliment each other." Tamamo and Shuten answered her question.

Beni flushed.

"I can provide plenty of support, making you stronger, faster, and hit harder. Not to mention I'm an excellent healer." Tamamo stated why she was selected for Home Base defense. She could keep those who were defending the base healed up, so they could survive long enough for somebody to come and help them.

Shuten finished off her cup.

"I'm fast, strong, and durable enough to make an opening for you to swoop in and score that critical hit to cut their head off. Not to mention... I am also quite skilled at magic." Shuten had the ability to increase her allies power as well to some degree. "... and I can weaken the enemies." Shuten could easily create weaknesses and openings for the small and fast Beni to score a killing blow to the enemy. "We oni should get along, don't you think?"

"No, I don't think that... but yet... when put like that we do seem to make a balanced team." Beni relented that it made sense for her teammates for any potential fight to be Shuten and Tamamo. Beni glanced over at Tamamo again. "... So... you have descendants. Were you a good wife like you dreamed?"

...

"Eheheh." Shuten laughed at the awkward pause, while Tamamo seemed to sulk to herself. The air was so tense it could be sliced with a butter knife, the perfect air for enjoying the suffering of her fellow non-human heroic spirits. "Moooo... if only Raikou or the brat were here... then this could get even more fun." Shuten lamented the lack of bloodlust in the air.

-With Exploration Team-

"Catch me!"

Naruto and Atalanta jumped off a cliff, and Melusine grabbed Naruto under the armpits and slowed his fall enough so that he didn't break anything when he landed on the ground. They had landed at a campsite that had been only recently abandoned, by the looking of the put out but smoking campire. Atalanta already got to work and went right towards the campfire and sniffed a log that was right next to it.

"... Female... the age is between... 10 and 20... hard to say exactly the age. Not fully human though, maybe a Masterless Servant." Atalanta noted that there was no camp equipment, just the remains of a fire. She was having trouble judging the age of the female that had left her scent on the log.

Naruto was surprised.

"Servants can be summoned without a Master?"

"Sometimes, seems she might be either a homunculus or a servant." Atalanta looked around and saw no signs of a tent or anything that could be used for sleep. "No signs of a tent... so I'm leaning to servant." Atalanta looked around. "... She went that way." Atalanta got the scent again as she walked around.

Naruto gestured up with his thumb.

Melusine rushed up into the air and got a look at the island from above, before she shot right back down. She stood in front of Naruto and nodded to him.

"That is the direction of our ship." Melusine noted that if the girl had left to go in that direction, then the chances were that she was going towards their ship to try and steal it. Naruto looked towards Atalanta, and he raised an eyebrow.

"How strong is she... can you tell?"

"I can't tell how strong she is, but I doubt she will be able to overpower the Defense Team." Atalanta couldn't tell if her strength was anything to note or not.

Naruto hummed.

"... So... there is another factor at play. There are 6 other Masters with 8 Servants each... and this Chaldea group... and now we have Unknown Rogue Servants with no Masters." Naruto tried to think about what he could do about this. "... This is a war." Naruto noted.

"Yes, it is."

"One of the best showings of a good commander, is their ability to negotiate allies to their side. I think there are Servants with no Masters on the different islands... maybe as a test to see how the Masters can ally them... meaning... the longer we go without seeing another Master, the more likely it is they can add more servants to their ship." Naruto was seeing how this could put them at a disadvantage.

The longer they waited around and did nothing, the more dangerous the other masters could become. Playing the "wait and see" approach could pay off, but it could also become a dangerous outcome where you ended up fighting a ship full of possibly even 30 servants at the same time. Even with his powerful servants, allowing the other masters to collect the rogue servants on the islands wouldn't end well.

"So what do we do?"

"I can kill her."

"Melusine, go to the boat and tell Shuten, Tamamo, and Beni that if they notice a servant girl sneaking onto the boat... let her sneak on. Don't confront her at all unless she makes an attack on us." Naruto didn't want a conflict if he could avoid it. "... If she stays on the boat when we set sail again, we can confront her as a team. If she tries to steal our Grail... we can confine her easier when she has nowhere to run."

"Roger."

Melusine was gone in a second.

"Master..."

"I don't want to kill the girl, even if she isn't a servant." Naruto waved a hand.

-At the Ship-

Melusine landed between the three servants.

"It would seem a stray Servant girl is heading towards the boat. Master says if she doesn't attack, don't attack her. If she tries to sneak onto the boat, don't interfere with her at all. Keep an eye on her unless she makes an attack." Melusine passed on the message.

She flew up and was gone again.

"... She really is fast." Shuten noted with a smile when Melusine was just a blip in the distance again.

'She's even faster than I am.' Beni noted with a shiver as she saw just how fast the small blue warrior moved in a straight line across the sky.

Tamamo hummed.

'So... it seems he wants the girl to board the ship, and we can trap her on the ship with us by setting sail... if she is really is a stray servant, we can ally her to us... increasing our numbers from 8 Servants to 9 Servants.' Tamamo could see this as a very risky strategy.

High Risk.
High Reward.

She hoped her master was good at gambling.
