Story Start!

"Okay, Chloe... go over this chart again for me."

"Okay, from what I heard from pirates, this is how it goes. This Island is Wyvern Island, it is where I spawned. There, Wyverns, Dragons, and Demonic Boars live." Chloe pointed to the island that she had spawned on.

Her, Naruto, Tamamo, and Atalanta were in his room looking over his Island Chart.

Chloe couldn't identify islands without going over the chart itself, but she did have minor knowledge of some of the different island names and descriptions. She pointed to the island that was North-East on the chart, but not the most North or the most East island. It was a small island in a cluster of small, gathered islands. Chloe placed her finger right on the center island of the cluster of islands, before she dragged her finger around to the smaller surrounding islands.

"These islands around it have nothing of worth, the wyverns just eat the animals on these islands... the other island I know is this one. This one is nicknamed Amazon Island... three guesses why." Chloe looked towards Naruto with a joking smile.

"Because it is an island of only women." Tamamo stated a serious answer.

"An island of warrior women, each woman with 1/3rd the strength of servants. I never saw them in person, but every 6 months they send a ship of their strongest warriors out to kidnap good men apparently. Their next Man Hunt happens in 3 weeks." Chloe explained the timing that they had for when there would be amazons on the ocean waters.

Naruto hummed and looked at the island.

"Master... you can't be-"

"If every Rogue Servant has a Map that leads them to a Treasure chest... that has information about the 7 Ocean Monsters... then I'm sure one of the treasure chests is there... but keep going Chloe." Naruto had hummed in thought, purely because he suspected that they might need to make a stop at the Amazon island at some point. There were no two ways about it, if these amazons were strong, then they might have collected a treasure of their own that could be helpful to them.

Naruto was sure they might need to make a return trip to Wyvern island for the same reason.

Chloe pointed to Resource Island that they were heading towards.

"This island was nicknamed the Nameless Island, the longer you spend on this island, the more you forget... and those who can't remember their names, can never leave the island." Chloe explained with a finger tapping the map.

Naruto made a note of that on his chart.

"We dodged a bullet... we really dodged a bullet by not stopping at that island first." Tamamo noted in shock and relief. If they didn't know what they were getting into, they might have gotten lost on that island forever. "... Well... those of us who don't resist magic at least. What causes people to forget?" Tamamo asked Chloe.

She shrugged her shoulders.

"I never talked to the pirates personally, I just picked up rumors by spying on them. The deeper you go into the island, the more you forget... and you remember once you leave the island." Chloe didn't know how the island worked, she just knew that it worked that way. Chloe pointed to an island that was far away from the Nameless Island. It was an island much smaller than the Nameless Island. "This island isn't actually an island... well... it is an island, but nothing lives there and it has nothing notable about it to my knowledge."

"... Then why mention it?" Atalanta didn't know why Chloe would even mention something that had nothing notable.

Naruto got it.

"... There is no information, and by that she means there is literally no information about the island. Most of these islands have something about them you can note... but not this one." Naruto looked towards Chloe.

She just nodded.

"Pirates go there... and they do come back, but nobody talks about it. There aren't rumors, nobody goes there and vanishes... they just... go there and come back, and then don't say anything about it at all... not even that the weather is good or bad." Chloe pointed out that there seemed to be nothing dangerous about the island itself.

"Oh... so... why mention it?" Tamamo questioned.

"... Nobody talks about it, which is worth noting. Anyway, this island is right next to us right now. The only things I've heard about this island is that a Master Boat was seen here and they haven't left this island... and this island has Hydras on it." Chloe added the smaller detail on after. It wasn't important to note, since hydras weren't exactly much of a threat to a crew full of servants. "... and... these 3 islands are connected by an underground tunnel system..." Chloe pointed to 3 islands that were very close together.

Naruto made a mental note of THAT fact.

"... Has anyone mapped it out?" Naruto asked Chloe.

"Nope... we know they are connected by tunnels, but nobody who goes into those tunnels comes out alive." Chloe explained.

Naruto stared at them.

"... Meaning... I will bet one of the ocean monsters lives in those tunnels. This is worth noting... do you have any other rumors?" Naruto questioned Chloe further. "... and... it must not leave those tunnels and go on the... no... I guess nobody who has ever seen it has lived to tell about it." Naruto didn't want to make an assumption that the islands themselves were safe. "... anything else." Naruto stated to Chloe.

She nodded.

She was only covering the North-East and East parts of the map with her knowledge, and since she wasn't pointing to every island, it implied that she didn't know everything. She was just telling them what she had heard in the 10 years since she was summoned.

"If you want to go to an island, this is the island. It always rains on this island, and I mean always rains... but it is pretty safe overall. Pirates don't really go there often, the food that grows there is tasteless and bland... and the people that live there are too friendly... just... way too friendly... creeps people out." Chloe knew that to be the best island if you needed to have your ship repaired or enhanced with other materials. "... it's 6 days away from where we are now... and it crosses though Skeleton King waters."

"Wait, wait... Skeleton King?" Atalanta was very confused.

Chloe shrugged.

"They are much stronger than your usual skeletons. A Skeleton King is as strong as a servant... they glow... but there are 9 servants on this ship, so we should be able to pass right through their territory without an issue." Chloe noted as she raised up her fingers 3. "There is one who wields a cursed sword, one with a cursed lance, and one with a cursed bow... and each of them can launch an attack equal to a B-rank Noble Phantasm... if you give them the chance."

"So, there are 3 Servant-level enemies in this area... this is a safe route... wait..." Naruto stopped for a moment and he looked at the territory. "... what killed them and turned them into skeletons?"

"Huh?"

"What killed them... they must have been much stronger when they were alive... so... what killed them and turned them into Skeletons?" Naruto asked as he noticed that small detail. Skeletons, by Chloe's own admission, where creatures that roamed the seas because they were killed by 1 of the 7 Ocean Monsters.

"Uh... what do you..." Chloe paused.

Chloe wasn't dumb, but she had missed a small detail that Naruto had noticed, and it wasn't long before Tamamo and Atalanta noticed the detail Naruto had noticed as well.

"We suspect the Tunnel islands have a Ocean Monster... but I can almost promise that these waters have an Ocean Monster in them. Something strong enough to kill people as strong as servants... there is an Ocean Monster in this territory." Naruto traced his finger around the territory. "... it will take 10 days to get to the island, but we need to avoid this area right now." Naruto knew they barely escaped Charybdis by a hair.

No need to take the risk.

"Do we have the 4 extra days... should we not just risk it?" Tamamo was fine with taking the risk.

"Right now, the boat needs repairs. We took damage from Charybdis, and we KNOW there are at least 3 enemies in these waters who are as strong as servants. I'm all for high risk and high reward... but saving 4 days of time is not a good enough." Naruto just could not justify the risk, because it was not worth the potential reward. "... anything else?" Naruto asked Chloe.

She pointed to another island.

"Just this one. The last island with rumors I heard is this one. This island has a town where pirates go to exchange goods with each other. If you need something, you can find it there. As long as you have the Gold, Silver, and Bronze to pay for it." Chloe gave another piece of useful information. "... also... this island has some of the best prostitutes, and the best book stores on the entire ocean." Chloe made an extra note.

Naruto hummed, and both Atalanta and Tamamo gripped his shoulders.

"... You sure do seem interested in prostitutes."

"I'm interested in the market... it might be worth going there and seeing what we can buy on their market. We might find something we can use against the other Masters." Naruto explained his interest.

"... Like what?"

"Information... we can talk and trade information on the other islands. We might even find another Rogue Servants here. Thank you Chloe... you've given me a lot to think about. I'm going to tell Anne to change course." Naruto nodded to her and he walked to do just that.

This was the purpose of the 7 Rogue Servants.

Chloe's information had been worth 10 times her weight in gold, and even if she was a weaker servant, the information she had given them alone would justify keeping her. Thankfully she seemed decently strong, maybe not as strong as some of his other servants, but she could pull her weight. Even if she didn't want to do any work on the ship, she had already pulled her own weight.

"... Chloe."

"Yes?"

"... What do you want to eat for dinner tonight, I'll have Beni change our meal for the night to whatever you want... if she is able?" Naruto asked Chloe without looking back at her. He just stopped at the door. Even if she was just giving him the information she already promised, he felt that she deserved a reward.

"Heh... can I get a hamburg steak? I haven't tasted one of those in years."

"You can." Naruto was sure that Beni would be able to do that just fine. "You've earned it, so after you finish things up here. You can rest up in my bed and wait for dinner." Naruto left his cabin.

They had a new destination.
