Saiyan Heroes of Earthland
"I'm back." Kaen called out, entering the guildhall.
"Welcome back babe." Mina smiled. "How was your mission?"
"Welcome back Papa." Eri smiled running into his arms.
"Well, if it isn't our rising star." Mira smiled. "I take it the mission went well?"
"Wasn't really much of a challenge." Kaen said. "But it went well."
"Careful what you wish for. As the master would say, often the thrills we seek, can burn us with their flames." Mira said. "But I'm glad to see you're not as destructive as the others here in Fairy Tail."
"I was a hero in training back on my world, remember? Maintaining collateral damage to a minimum is part of the job." Kaen said.
"So, thinking of taking on another job?" Mina asked.
"I might take a rest, I mean that was my fifth job in three weeks." Kaen said. "Not counting the Macao rescue."
"Guess that makes sense." Mina smiled.
"Hey, how about you share a drink with me big guy?" Cana suggested coming to sit beside them.
"Well, I don't wanna get drunk, but I think a drink or two might not hurt." Kaen said. "I'll take a hard root beer, if you don't mind Mira."
"Coming right up." Mira smiled.
"So how are Lucy and Natsu doing on that job about burning a book?" Kaen asked.
"They just got back a short while before you actually." Mina smiled, pointing to the table the two were sitting at with Happy. "But you might wanna prepare yourself, Erza's gonna be coming back soon, and she's not usually the type to put up with misbehavior."
"Really? She sounds like she could be Aizawa Sensei's daughter." Kaen snickered as Mira brought his drink over.
"I made the same joke when I first met her." Mira snickered.
"So any luck with learning your magic?" Kaen asked.
"To be honest, I think I might have to give up. I've been at it for months, and I can't even learn the simplest aspects of the Master's magic." Mina sighed.
"He talked to me about it, and didn't wanna bring it up and discourage you Mina, but he was thinking that you weren't compatible with his type of magic. He did say you should be farther along with it then this by now." Cana said.
"Mmm… I might have a way to help with learning magic Quicker Mina." Kaen said. "The time I don't think is right, but let me show you something." He stated, pulling out, what looked like a metal medical allergy tag, from his pouch.
"What is that?" Mina asked.
"It's something Athena made for me, when my leather wristband broke. It's got a piece of the wristband on the underside, so it'll work the same." Kaen said, putting it on Eri's wrist.
"What was so special about that wrist band?" Mina inquired.
"You'll see." Kaen smiled. "Happy, could you come here for a moment?"
"Aye sir." Happy smiled, flying over to them, and landing on the counter. "What's up?"
"I need you for showing Mina and Eri something." Kaen said. "It won't hurt, all you have to do is stand there, and let Eri touch your magic wings."
"Okay, no problem." Happy smiled, before spreading his wings.
"Alright Eri, now while you grab Happy's wings, try thinking about having them yourself, feel your energy flow as you make contact, then let go once you feel a tingling sensation in the back of your mind." Kaen explained as Eri put her hands on Happy's wings. "Do you feel the tingling sensation?"
"Uh-huh." Eri nodded. "It feels weird, like static in the back of my head."
"Good, now let go of Happy's wings." Kaen smiled. "Now, do you see a small icon in the top right corner of your vision?"
"I do."
"I want you to focus in on it. Once that happens, something amazing will appear."
Eri focused on the icon, scrunching up her face as she focused, before her eyes widened.
"What do you see?"
"I see something like a video game storage board. But there's only enough room for one item. An' there's a keyboard underneath it." Eri said.
"What's she seeing?" Cana asked.
"I don't know, but obviously it has something to do with that bracelet Kaen put on her. He seems to have experience with it as well, as he's guiding her perfectly." Mira said.
"What do you see in the item box?" Kaen inquired.
"I see a pair of wings like Happy's." Eri said.
"Good. Now I want you to reach up and press on the wings." Kaen instructed, before Eri did so. "What do you see now?"
"I see the stats for the wings. I also see that I can change the color of my wings." Mina said.
"Good, now what stats do you see?" Kaen asked.
"Strength-40%, Speed-25MPH, and Aerodynamics-25%." Eri said.
"Aerodynamics seems kinda low." Kaen said. "Alright, here's what I want you to do Eri. Take the stats tag for Strength and Aerodynamics, and put their percentages at 75%. For Speed, I want you to increase the maximum speed you can go up to what you feel is safe to do. I'll leave this one up to you as well, pick out which color you want to change the wings to."
Eri nodded, and raising her hands, she raised the stats to the two end dials, and increased the speed to her own specifications. After that, she changed the color of the wings, to a color she thought would be nice.
"Now, what speeds can the wings reach up to?" Kaen inquired.
"The wings can now travel up to speeds of 250MPH, and I've changed the color of the wings to a matching shade of pink as Mama's hair." Eri said.
"Alright, now since you're done. Double tap the wings, like you're trying to equip them to a video game character, and you should feel a surge of power soon after." Kaen said.
Eri reached her hand up to double tap the wings, but the instant she did, the screen in front of her vanished, and as Kaen said, she felt a surge of power course through her. This didn't go unnoticed to Kaen, as he smiled when seeing Eri's body shiver with the power running through it as sparks of pink electricity jumped every now and then.
"What just happened?" Cana asked.
"Just watch and see." Kaen smiled sitting Eri on the table, and removing the bracelet from her wrist. "Alright Eri, I want you to focus. Try and bring out the wings you saw on the screen before it vanished."
"I'll try Papa." Eri said, closing her eyes to focus.
"What's going on Mira?" Cana inquired.
"I believe, that little item, allowed for Eri to copy Happy's, Aerial Magic." Mira said.
"What? No way, no such item like that exists." Happy said.
"We'll see in a second if it worked or not." Cana said, eyeing the pouch Kaen put the bracelet in. "I'm intrigued as to how that little trinket works."
"Come on Eri, I know you can do it, I believe in you." Kaen smiled.
"I'm trying Papa." Eri said.
"Just relax, and let it flow through you Eri. Feel the power course through your veins as if it were a part of who you are." Mira said, trying to help.
Eri relaxed a bit, taking a deep breath, before allowing the power to flow through her, and almost instantly, the same magic circle that appears on Happy's back when he accesses his magic, appeared on Eri's, before a pair of pink angelic wings, larger then Happy's, popped out from between her shoulder blades.
"Oh my." Mira gasped.
'As I thought. Because Eri has a One-for-All core like me, she can use the Xerox Band, to add not only Quirks, but magic to the core as well.' Kaen thought.
"How is Eri able to use Happy's Magic after only touching his wings?" Mina asked.
"It's thanks to the Xerox Band." Kaen said, holding up the bracelet he took off Eri's wrist. "I'll explain how it works, but currently it's only compatible with me and Eri, since Eri's Quirk is a combination of my own, and one called White Wrath."
"Hey Mira. Can we get three beers over here please?" A guild member called to the waitress.
"Be right with you." Mira called back, leaving the bar counter.
"So what is the name of your Quirk? I know the one Celeron took from you was Ashura, but you never told me the name of the one he replaced it with." Mina said.
"I guess it is about time I told you the truth behind my Quirk." Kaen smiled. "The name of my power, is One-for-All."
"One-for-All? You mean like the opposite of All-for-One?" Mina inquired.
"Isn't he that villain who turned your brother against you some years ago? If I recall correctly, that was a pretty bad experience for you from what Mina's told me." Cana said.
"He is. But the story of how my power is connected to him, is for another time." Kaen said.
"I got bad news." Loki said, barging into the guild.
"Didn't he just run out of here, like a second ago because Lucy is a Celestial Wizard?" Mina asked.
"I still think his Ki feels off. Like he's something more then human." Kaen said.
"It's Erza." Loki said. "She's on her way here."
The entire guild seemed to freeze and panic at the news of the Armored Fairy returning so soon.
"Why's everyone freaking out?" Kaen asked.
"Erza's the strongest sorceress in Fairy Tail. An' when the Master isn't here to reign her in, she tends to act like she's in charge, and it's scary when that happens." Mina said. "Her status is more then a bit intimidating." She added, before the echoing sound of armored footsteps came from outside the guildhall.
"That's gotta be her."
"Those sound like her footsteps."
"Even the air's gone completely still."
"Geeze, from these reactions, you'd think she was some kind of Demon, or something." Lucy said, joining Kaen's group at their table. "I'm so scared." She panicked hiding behind Kaen.
"What are you hiding behind me for then?" Kaen asked as Erza came into the Guild, carrying a giant decorated horn over her head.
Planting the horn on the ground, Kaen was able to get a good look at the armor clad woman, in a blue skirt.
"I have returned. Where is Master Makarov?" The redhead questioned.
"Oh wow. She's pretty." Lucy said.
"Welcome back Erza, the Master's at a conference right now."
"I see." Erza said.
"So um… what's that humongous thing you got there?" One of the other Guild members asked.
"It's the horn of a monster I defeated. The locals were so thankful, they decorated it, and gave it to me as a souvenir. Do you have a problem with it?"
"No not at all."
"Alright, alright just calm down." Kaen said, stepping up. "I'm sure they were just asking out of simple curiosity, nothing more."
"An' who are you?" Erza questioned.
"The name's Kaen, I'm new here. I think Mina might have told you about me actually." Kaen said.
"So you're the boyfriend Mina's spoken of. It's about time you got back. I assume you had enough running and hiding from your responsibilities as a parent?" Erza questioned.
"Care to repeat that tomato head?" Kaen questioned, a tick mark forming on his forehead as he stood over her with a menacing aura.
It shouldn't have been possible, but the entire Guild got even more quiet then before.
"Did he just…" Natsu questioned.
"Insult Erza?" Grey finished.
"He's a dead man walking." Happy said.
"What did you just say, you monkey tailed bastard?" Erza questioned, a dark violet aura enveloping her.
"You heard me, or do I need to spell it out for you so your sesame seed brain can comprehend it?" Kaen asked a red aura enveloping him.
"I will not stand for this transgression against me. Prepare yourself for defeat." Erza declared, a sword appearing in her hand, before she swung it at him.
Kaen simply raised his hand, and caught the blade in the grip of his fingers with minimal effort.
"Listen. There's no need to fight over this." Kaen said after taking a breath, not even budging while Erza tried to pry her sword away from him, and failing at that. "I apologize. But what you said about me running away from my duties as a parent got under my skin, and really pissed me off. I would never, willingly abandon Eri or Mina. I'd rather die then do that."
"I apologize as well. I insulted your honor, when not knowing the whole story, and for that I have no excuse." Erza said.
"So we agree, we both made a bad first impression. Let's start over." The Saiyan said, releasing the blade of Erza's sword. "My name is Kaen Yagi, proud father of Eri and boyfriend to Mina."
"I am Erza Scarlet. A proud member of the Fairy Tail Guild." She smiled.
"Oh, it's so nice when Erza makes a new friend." Mira smiled.
"Are Natsu and Grey around?" Erza asked.
"Yeah, over there. They were brawling a bit, but now they just look dumbfounded." Kaen said, pointing to where Natsu and Grey were.
"Ah, Natsu, Grey. I need you to do me a favor." Erza said. "Kaen, after seeing how easily you stopped my blade, I'd like for you to come along as well."
"What's wrong?" Kaen asked.
"While traveling I overheard something that has me worried." Erza began. "Normally I would consult with the Master before acting, but he's not here, and this is a matter of utmost urgency. The two of you are the strongest Wizards here, plus with the addition of someone like you Kaen, I could really use all your help."
"Did that just happen?"
"Erza asked them for help?"
"That's definitely a first."
"We'll meet at the train station tomorrow morning." Erza said.
'Me and Natsu?' Grey questioned.
'On the same team?' Natsu inquired.
"Erza, Natsu, and Grey working together? I never saw that one coming." Mira said. "Then add a Saiyan Elite to the group. This could be, the most powerful team Fairy Tail's ever seen."
~That Night~
"Man I'm beat. Dealing with Erza's high and mighty attitude is bad enough, but you picking a fight with her was just exhausting to deal with." Mina sighed, flopping down on the couch of their apartment. "Did you put Eri to bed?"
"She's fast asleep, and the soundproof spell is on the door, so we don't have to worry about waking her when talking." Kaen said.
"So, now I'm owed a bit of an explanation." Mina said. "About what your connection with All-for-One and One-for-All is, and what you did earlier with Eri copying Happy's magic."
"I guess I do owe you a bit of an explanation, don't I?" Kaen asked. "To be honest, what happened with me and Celeron at the USJ, was basically history sorta repeating itself. I'll give you the abridged story. But before I begin, anything I tell you here and now, cannot leave this building, no matter what."
"I promise babe. Whatever you tell me, will not leave this room." Makarov said.
"Well, the truth of the matter is, the original One-for-All, was created back during the early days of Quirks appearing, when All-for-One, forced a stockpiling Quirk onto his younger brother to try and make him a loyal soldier. But what he didn't know, was that his younger brother already had a Quirk, one similar to his own that could transfer a piece of power from one person to another, but with the stockpiling Quirk added, they merged and mutated, to form the opposing power, known as One-for-All, a power that can be passed down from person to person, cultivating it into a powerful force. One person improves the power, and then passes it on to another, continuing to build its strength." Kaen explained. "From the first user on, it was passed down, until it reached All Might. It was this cultivated power, that granted All Might, his tremendous power."
"Wait, you mean All Might, was a bearer of the original One-for-All?" Mina asked. "Then… if that's true, did he already pass it on?"
"He did." Kaen said. "He passed it onto our classmate, the shy green haired girl who's heart is bigger then the sun, Izumi Midoriya. A girl who was Quirkless, until All Might deemed her worthy of his power."
"So, what caused history to repeat itself with you and your brother?" Mina asked.
"Celeron has a copy of All-for-One's Quirk." Kaen said. "An' in his haste to get rid of two Quirks he considered useless and not worth keeping, he forced them onto me, after stealing Ashura from me, before his final attempt at ending my life, by sending me down the hole he made."
"So those two Quirks were…"
"Copies of the original stockpiling and power transferring Quirks, that had created the One-for-All, the original All-for-One created by trying to force his brother into submission." Kaen explained. "The Xerox Band Eri wore to copy Happy's flight magic, was created for me to copy and add Quirks to the core of my One-for-All, building up the strength of my Quirk, until it's on par with All Might's, or stronger. When Athena made Eri's current Quirk, she was able to create a copy of it's core, since it's impossible for One-for-All, to be stolen."
"So how was she able to copy magic?" Mina inquired.
"The same way the band allows her and I to copy Quirks and add them to our cores."
"Explanation please."
"During my travels, before joining the guild, I found out that I could use the Xerox Band, to copy not only Quirks, but Magic as well. Only trick is, you need a One-for-All core, in order to use the Xerox Band for magic, if you're using it on a Quirk then that's another matter entirely." Kaen explained leaning back on the couch.
"Do you think I could get a core, so I can learn magic that way?" Mina asked.
"Well, I don't know. I mean you could try using the Xerox Band to create a copy of my One-for-All core and give it to yourself so you could learn magic." Kaen said. "Athena never specified that not being one of the limits of the Xerox Band. So it could be worth a try."
"Let's try it after your mission with the others." Mina said. "I don't wanna risk you suffering side effects while you're out trying to complete the mission."
"I guess that's fair." Kaen said, before his eyes opened and he looked forward, when he felt Mina straddle his hips.
"But that doesn't mean we can't have some, normal fun." Mina smiled, reaching behind her back, and untying her bikini top. Kaen's eyes widened when Mina used one of her arms to keep her chest covered, as she gave off a seductive grin.
"Wait, Mina you do realize what going through with this means in Saiyan culture right? You didn't forget from what I told you at the pool party at Yaoyorozu's, did you?" Kaen asked.
"Of course not Kaen. I know what this means, but since we've no way of returning back to Earth, let alone Japan, I say we should just seal the deal right now. Besides, I'm tired of waiting, aren't you?" Mina inquired, lowering her arm, allowing for her I-Cup chest to be exposed, before she leaned in closer to Kaen and pressed her chest into his. "Come on, Mama wants to have some fun." She smiled, before silencing him with a kiss.
'Kami above… I am in love with this fiery woman.' Kaen thought, as he took the lead. "Let's take this to the bedroom."
~Magnolia Station the Following Morning~
"I hate this, teaming up with you is the worst idea ever." Natsu growled, butting heads with Grey.
"Yeah tell me about it. Erza made a huge mistake asking a loser like you to come along." Grey said.
"Fine then, why don't you just take care of it yourself? I don't wanna go anyway." Natsu said.
"Sounds like a plan to me, then I'll get to watch her beat you senseless." Grey stated.
"Knock it off you two." Kaen said, hitting them both on the head with a karate chop. "We are in a public train station. If you wanna bicker like this, at least wait until we're at the hotel in our destination."
"Yes sir." They both said in unison.
"Seems like I didn't need to come along." Lucy said.
"What made you decide to come along with us?" Happy asked, munching on a fish.
"Mira asked me to. She said Grey and Natsu would be at each others throats while Erza wasn't looking, but it seems Kaen's got it handled. But since I've already paid for a ticket, a non-refundable ticket, I should still tag along."
"Man it's exhausting babysitting those two." Kaen said, sitting down on the bench.
"You don't look like you got much sleep last night either. Are you feeling okay?" Lucy inquired.
"I'm fine. Mina just kept me up pretty late into the night." Kaen said. "I don't wanna go further into detail about it."
Lucy just looked at Kaen before she noticed something peeking out from the collar of his uniform.
"Holy crap, Kaen is that a hickey on your neck?" Lucy questioned.
"Would you shut up about it, or at least quiet down?" Kaen hissed, slapping his hand over the spot the hickey was on. "Yes okay, it is a hickey. Mina and I did get a little active in bed last night."
"Whoa, no way. I can't believe it. So then, you've taken the next step in your relationship?" Lucy asked.
"More like the ultimate step." Kaen sighed, leaning back against the bench with a sigh. "In Saiyan culture, the act of intercourse is sacred, and… it's also what ties the knot between a couple."
"So by Saiyan law you and Mina are…"
"Yep. Mina Ashido, is now Mina Ashido Yagi." Kaen said.
"Congrats, I always knew Mina had it in her to get down and dirty, but I didn't think she had the guts to tie the knot. This calls for a celebration when we return to the guild." Erza said, walking up to them.
"About time you got here." Kaen said. "I've had to keep an eye on those two, while you took your time."
"Apologies." Erza said. "But as I was saying congratulations are in order. Once we return to the guild, I'm sure there will be a big party thrown in honor of your union with Mina."
"That's appreciated, but not necessary." Kaen said.
"It'll still happen once the Master hears about this, either way. That's how the Guild operates." Erza stated.
"Hey Erza, I'll come with you, but only on one condition." Natsu said.
"Oh, well then let's hear it." Erza said.
"I want a three way battle between you, me, and Kaen when we get back to Fairy Tail." Natsu said.
"What's wrong with you, you got some kind of death wish?" Grey questioned.
"I'm a lot stronger then I was last time. This time will be way different." Natsu smirked. "Because I'm gonna beat both of you."
"Yes I can tell you've improved." Erza smiled.
"As to whether or not you can beat either of us, I suppose we'll have to see. I accept your challenge." Kaen smirked.
"As do I."
"Oh yeah… I'm fired up." Natsu cheered, fire engulfing his head.
~Later~
"I swear, you're totally pathetic Natsu." Grey said, leaning towards the window, with Happy sitting between the two opposing elementals. "One minute you're picking a fight, and the next you're like this."
"It's gotta be tough on him, getting from place to place." Lucy said, Kaen sitting between her and Erza.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine." Erza said. "Come here and sit with me."
"Aye." Natsu wheezed.
"Lucy, you switch places with Natsu, I'll take the window seat." Kaen said.
After switching seats, Natsu leaned in closer to Erza as she brought him forward, and without warning, knocked him out with a punch to the stomach, while his head ended up on her lap.
"Erza, I think it's about time you started filling us in." Grey said.
"Agreed. What exactly is this job we're going on?" Kaen inquired.
"Of course." Erza began. "I have reason to believe the Dark Guild Eisenwald, is planning something big. I'm not sure what exactly, but it has to do with a magic item called Lullaby."
"Lullaby?" Happy and Grey questioned.
"You two know of it?" Kaen asked.
"Not really, someone who kidnapped Happy on the last job Natsu and I did, said something about Lullaby." Lucy said.
"It was soon after they ran into me and we rescued Happy from being roasted cat." Grey said. "But they had been pulled under by someone who'd wanted them not to reveal anything."
"I see, so you've run into the Eisenwald Guild before." Erza speculated.
"Well I'm not positive they were part of Eisenwald, but they did mention Lullaby." Grey added.
"It sounds like they were members who dropped out of the guild and went into hiding." Erza said.
"Maybe they grew somewhat of a heart, and wanted no part in whatever's coming." Kaen said.
"So this thing is so bad, it even scares Dark Wizards?" Grey asked.
"I'm only hypothesizing, but whoever you saw dragging off Happy's kidnappers that day, had to have been from Eisenwald." Erza said. "It's obvious that they didn't want their plans getting out."
"Now that I think about it, I've heard of Lullaby before. In an old fable about the Dark Wizard Zeref." Kaen said. "Whoever hears even a single note, played by the Lullaby flute, will fall under a spell of eternal sleep, never to awaken again."
"What do you think Eisenwald is gonna try?" Lucy questioned.
"Let me start from the beginning." Erza said. "Just the other day, I was heading home after completing a job."
"The same job you completed that got you that big horn as a reward?" Kaen asked.
"The very same." Erza said. "I stopped by a pub in Onibas that I new was a local spot for wizards. There were four members of Eisenwald, and they tried, but failed at talking secretively of their plans being halted by a seal keeping Lullaby out of their grasp, before one of them, a man named Kage, said they'd handle it."
"How'd you know they were with Eisenwald?" Kaen asked.
"Kage mentioned the name, Erigor. That's the name for their Guild Master, Erigor the Reaper." Erza explained. "The only reason why I didn't act that day, was because I didn't recognize his name, until I was already back to Magnolia."
"I've heard of him. Erigor, the Ace of Eisenwald. A murderer who only accepts assassination requests, which is what earned him the name he holds today." Kaen said.
"He kills for money?" Lucy questioned.
"When the council outlawed assassination requests, Eisenwald decided that money was more important then the council's rules. As a result, they were kicked out of the Wizard League six years ago." Erza explained. "But that didn't stop them. They've disobeyed orders, and remain active to this day."
"Okay, I should be heading back home now." Lucy said.
"Lucy's slimy all of a sudden." Happy said.
"It's sweat." Lucy stated.
"Hold on…" Kaen said, his senses sharp. "Something's coming right about… now."
Kaen shot his hand into the air, and grabbed what had been flying overhead, and pulled down Eri, the girl looking embarrassed at being caught.
There, being held by the arm, was Eri, wearing a suit similar to Kaen's but very different, with the Fairy Tail emblem on the chest in black, in place of the star, and was tiger themed with the main color being a silvery white with black stripes, instead of a dark navy blue.
"Eri? What are you doing here?" Kaen questioned.
"Hi Papa." Eri said nervously.
"I'll repeat young lady what are you doing on board this train?" Kaen questioned.
"Did she just use Happy's aerial magic?" Erza questioned.
"Long story." Grey said, before a train attendant came to their seats.
"No more running away little stowaway." The conductor said. "You're in big trouble."
"You snuck on board?" Kaen questioned.
"Eh-hehe." Eri chuckled nervously.
Moments later, after Kaen had paid her travel fee, Eri was sitting on Kaen's lap, since there was no room for her on the actual seats.
"Explain yourself young lady." Kaen said.
"You promised you'd take me on your next job after you got back from your last one." Eri said.
"Eri, I meant a job that was safer for you. What we're doing, is dangerous. We're probably gonna end up going against a Dark Guild. This job was spur of the moment, and it won't even pay anything since there's no reward involved." Kaen said. "Which means you wouldn't gain any valuable lessons or experiences with this job anyways, even if it were safe for you to tag along. We'll talk about this more, when I get home, as soon as we reach the station, you're taking the next train back to Magnolia."
"So back on topic. If I got this right, Eisenwald is planning on doing something with this Lullaby item, and you wanna stop them. Because after what you overheard, you're sure it's gonna be something bad." Grey said.
"That's correct, and I'm not foolish enough to believe I can take on an entire magical guild by myself." Erza said.
"Papa can. Papa's the strongest there is, one punch from him can change the weather." Eri said.
"Change the weather?" Lucy asked.
"She's talking about a concert we went to back on our world, in the country of Japan. A villain attacked, and I was the only one on sight to stop him, and the resulting backlash wind pressure from the punch I threw, caused the weather to change, and bring in a downpour of warm rain." Kaen explained, opening a locket from around his neck, and showing them the photo's from the concert.
One was of him, Mina, and Eri, while the other was of the three of them, the band Skillet, and Brendon Urie. But in both, his right arm was wrapped in bandages.
"Oh wow… but why's Mina pregnant in those?" Lucy asked.
"It was a teen awareness project U.A had all female students and faculty participate in, and students were required to keep the simulated pregnancy going, until they went to bed. But, she was temporarily a surrogate until my sister could take her charges back, and resume the role of surrogate." Kaen explained. "But as to what I was saying, not only did the force of the weather changing punch causing it to rain, it also broke my arm in several places."
"That had to have hurt like hell." Grey said.
"Swear." Eri said, holding her swear jar up to him.
"Fine." Grey lightly chuckled, dropping a paper bill inside.
"It did. But the pain was worth it in the end." Kaen smiled, putting the locket away. "Mainly because, I got to see Eri smile, for the first time."
"What happened to cause her to lose her smile?" Lucy asked.
"Trust us Lucy. You don't wanna know." Grey said, clenching his fist.
"So Mina told you?" Kaen asked.
"She did, when we asked about how she was a mother to a six year old at her age." Grey said. "It sickened me to my core. An' it made Natsu so mad, you'd have sworn we were in the middle of summer, even though it was December."
"Back on topic. This mission is why I asked you three for your help. I need strong fighters by my side." Erza said. "We're storming the Eisenwald Guild."
"Sounds like fun to me." Grey smirked.
"Aye." Happy cheered.
"I shouldn't have come along." Lucy said.
"I'm actually lucky you did." Kaen said. "If you're not up for fighting, then could you watch Eri and make sure she makes it back to Magnolia? I can get you a return ticket for the ride back."
"Thanks Kaen, and I'd be more then happy to make sure Eri makes it back to Magnolia."
A short while later, everyone, minus Natsu, was eating lunch, paid for by Kaen, except for the food he and Eri were eating, as Mina made him an extra big lunch.
"Why do I get the feeling Mina knew Eri was gonna sneak aboard the train?" He asked.
"If you don't mind me asking, what kind of magic do you practice Erza?" Lucy asked.
"That's a good question." Erza said.
"Erza's magic is really pretty." Eri said.
"She makes her enemies bleed, a lot." Happy stated.
"I don't know if I'd call that pretty." Lucy said.
"Happy, you and I have very different definitions of pretty." Eri deadpanned.
"Personally, I think Grey's magic is much more beautiful then mine." Erza said, eating a piece of strawberry cake.
"Oh like this?" Grey asked, putting one fist in one hand, and stretching his arms out, before he let off a cloud of cold mist, and removed his right hand, to reveal a Fairy Tail emblem made of ice. "I use Ice Magic."
"Oh now I understand why you and Natsu don't get along. He's fire and you're ice." Lucy said. "Talk about not mixing very well."
"I never thought about that." Erza said.
"Nah, I just hate his guts." Grey said, as their train pulled into the station.
"What about you Kaen? What kind of magic do you use?" Lucy questioned.
"To be perfectly honest with you, I'd rather not say." Kaen said. "I'm already considered a freak anywhere I go, because of my tail, so I'd rather not people think I'm a monster because of my magic."
"How do you even know magic? I thought Saiyans rely on their Ki for combat?" Grey questioned.
"We do rely on it, but that's not all we're limited to. We are capable of learning other stuff as well, and our bodies are able to adapt to powers like the Quirks we integrated into ourselves thanks to my siblings, and All-for-One." Kaen explained as they departed the train. "Though… there is something you guys should know about me before we continue this job, and then you can choose whether or not you'd like me to stay on the mission."
"Oh I'm sure it can't be that bad Kaen, just tell us and get it off your chest. We won't think of you any differently then who you are now." Lucy smiled.
"Hold on guys… where are Eri and Natsu?" Grey questioned.
Kaen's body stiffened up, as he realized Eri wasn't holding his hand. Stiffly, he turned around to face the train, but it was already gone.
"Uh-oh, there they go." Happy said.
~Train~
"Natsu, hey Uncle Natsu wake up. The train's already left Onibas Station, and Papa's gonna be real mad that we didn't get off there with the others." Eri said, trying to shake Natsu awake.
"Just five more minutes." Natsu groaned.
"Uncle Natsu." Eri whined, as someone stepped up to them.
"Well lookie here, it's a couple of Fairy Tail Wizards." The man said.
Eri looked to who had spoken to them, and saw it was a tall man, with black hair, wearing a white jacket over matching pants, with a maroon shirt underneath.
"How's the guild treating you these days? Is it worth sticking around?" He questioned.
"What?" Natsu questioned, before the mans shoe was stomped into his face.
"Don't act all high and mighty, just because you're in a legal guild mister Fairy." Kage said. "You guys who just blindly follow the magic council, you know what you look like to us? Harmless little flies."
"Leave Uncle Natsu alone." Eri cried out, biting down on Kage's leg.
"Ouch, hey you stupid brat, that hurts." Kage growled throwing his leg down to the floor, and slamming Eri into it hard, with the momentum making her bounce and tumble. "Not even a fly, just a pathetic larva." He said.
"You, hurt Eri." Natsu growled.
Kage looked to Natsu, right before he was struck with a flaming fist. Looking up, Kage was hit with several more fiery punches, before he was hit with a flaming kid, sending him flying down the aisle and into the door of the train car.
"Uncle Natsu, that's one of the men, Aunty Erza wanted you to go after. He had this on him." Eri said, holding up a wooden flute, carved with a three eyed skull at the end.
"The Lullaby?" Kage questioned, seeing she had it. "Give it back you little brat, give it back right now before I kill you."
"You wanna say that again punk?" Kaen questioned, grabbing Kage from behind in a choke hold. "Threaten to kill my daughter again, and I'll snap your neck. I dare you, threaten her again." He growled.
"H-how did you get in here?" Kage choked out.
"You're not the only one, who can move in shadows." Kaen glared, before they were thrown forward as the train came to a complete stop, releasing Kage from his grip. "Looks like Erza pulled the emergency break. Now given your a shadow magic wielder, I'm gonna assume you're Kage from Eisenwald."
"How'd you know… I use shadow magic?" Kage questioned as Kaen stomped his foot on his back.
"It's your Ki." Kaen said. "I can tell someone's magic just by how their Ki feels. Shadow Magic users send shivers up my spine, so I try to steer clear of them if possible."
"So badass." Natsu said.
"Natsu, grab Eri and the flute, we're leaving." Kaen said.
"Dark Shadow." Kage called out, hitting Kaen with multiple strikes from fists made of shadows. The strikes knocked Kaen off Kage, but before he could go after Natsu, Eri, and the flute, Natsu had already grabbed his bag and the girl, and took off. "No. Damn it."
"Looks like you'll have to return to Erigor empty handed. But let him know you didn't stand a chance, because the Saiyan was aboard this train." Kaen growled.
"The Saiyan?" Kage paled. "He joined the Fairy Tail Guild?"
"Be seeing you Kage." Kaen glared, as he stepped back. "We're not through with your little threat, towards my daughter." He finished as he vanished into the shadows.
