Saiyan Heroes of Earthland
"Mira, have you seen Eri anywhere?" Mina questioned, wanting to talk to the barmaid.
"No I haven't. Is she missing or something?" Mira inquired.
"I've looked everywhere for her, I've even tried looking for her Ki around Magnolia, but nothing has come up." Mina said. "At this point, I'm just gonna have to come to terms with the fact, she might have snuck aboard Kaen's train before they left."
"Why would she do that?"
"Kaen had promised to take Eri on a job request after he got back from the last one he was one, so by not taking her on this one, she probably felt like he was breaking that promise." Mina said.
"I guess that would be a good reason to believe Eri would sneak aboard the train Kaen took with Erza and the others." Mira said.
"I made Kaen an extra special lunch for the train ride, but I don't know if Eri brought anything with her when sneaking aboard." Mina said.
"At this point, all you can do, is hope Kaen will keep her safe." Mira said.
"Keeping her safe isn't what I'm worried about." Mina said. "It's what Kaen will do, to anyone who hurts her, that has me concerned."
~Kaen's Team~
"Erza, are you sure we should still be going after Eisenwald?" Kaen questioned, flying alongside the Magic Mobile the redhead was driving.
"I'm certain. Even though we're in possession of Lullaby, we still need to stop Eisenwald. There's a good chance they'll come after us now that we have Lullaby, and they're not just gonna wait for us to come to them. They're gonna set a trap for us, no doubt about it. But if innocent people end up getting involved, then we have to prevent that." Erza stated.
"But do you have to go so fast?" Grey questioned. "You're gonna burn through your magic reserves before you can do anything to stop them."
"Erza, let me take over for a while." Kaen said.
"No, we must press on without any delays." Erza stated.
"This isn't a debate Erza, Grey is right. You're not gonna be able to fight if you keep pushing yourself like this." Kaen stated.
"I said no." Erza stated.
"Lucy, how's Eri doing?" Kaen asked, pulling back to the windows of the Magic Mobile.
"She's fine. She might have a concussion, judging by this bump on her head, but other then that I don't see any other injuries on her." Lucy said.
"Give her one of these." Kaen said, handing her a Senzu Bean. "If she does have a concussion, this will take care of it."
"A bean?" Lucy questioned.
"That's a Senzu Bean." Grey said, sticking his head into the cab of the vehicle. "It can take care of any injuries short of death. But depending on the severity the person is in, it might take more then one to do the job."
"I've never heard of such a thing being possible. But here goes." Lucy said, feeding Eri the Senzu Bean.
After eating the bean, Eri's eyes opened and she sat up immediately.
"Papa, I got the Lullaby." Eri called out, spotting Kaen.
"I know, I have it with me now. Good work kitten, you did a great job." Kaen said with a smile.
~Eisenwald Guild Members~
"You dumbass." Erigor said, knocking Kage to the ground. "You let the Fairy Tail flies escape after seeing, and stealing the Lullaby flute from you?"
"I'm sorry Erigor, but I didn't stand a chance." Kage said before Erigor's blade was at his throat.
"You've got three seconds to explain why before I remove your head from your shoulders." Erigor stated.
"The Saiyan was with them." Kage stated.
"The Saiyan?" Erigor asked, removing his blade from Kage's neck. "Well, I guess you do have a good reason as to why you couldn't bring the Lullaby back to me. No matter, he might have been more then one of my pawns could handle, but he's not strong enough to beat me. I'll get the Lullaby back from him, and I know just how to do it. Next stop, Oshibana Station."
~Kaen's Group Sometime Later~
"Kaen, do you see anything up ahead?" Grey questioned.
"I see smoke rising from the Oshibana Station." He said. "Eisenwald's probably taken most of the people inside hostage, and the ones who got away alerted the authorities."
"Papa. Fly on ahead, and help them." Eri called out.
"I'll see what I can do kitten." Kaen said, before he took off, speeding away to the station.
By the time the others had arrived at the station, Kaen had finished talking with one of the security workers who were keeping people from entering.
"So what's the situation?" Erza asked, as Lucy and Eri dragged the still motion sick Natsu to the station.
"It's bad. There aren't any hostages, but Eisenwald has indeed taken over the station. The authorities and workers are telling the public that the station's closed due to an unexpected derailment. But to be honest, this may be a trap they set up to try and get the Lullaby back from us." Kaen said.
"If it is, then why don't we just destroy the flute?" Lucy asked.
"An item like Lullaby can't be destroyed that easily." Kaen said. "It's a powerful magical item, and unless we take proper care of it, we could end up causing a lot more harm then good."
"So what now?" Grey questioned.
"We're going in, but follow my lead on this one." Kaen said. "None of you have seen what I'm capable of, so I think now would be a good time to show you a demonstration."
"Papa's getting serious." Eri smiled.
Marching into the train station, Kaen shoved the workers, who tried to stop him from entering, out of the way, with the others following him, while the train station workers were just looking bewildered, and some even terrified. Erza had Eri stay behind her, which meant Lucy was carrying Natsu all on her own, but she'd rather it be that way, then for Eri to get caught up in the fighting, not that she couldn't handle herself in a fight.
"A small army unit went in a few minutes before I got here, but they've yet to return." Kaen said, as he lead the way through the train station. "Best guess would be, they've either ran into the Eisenwald forces, or they were ambushed with the Dark Guild thinking it was us."
"Look up ahead." Erza pointed out.
Kaen and the others looked ahead towards the stairs leading to the tracks, and gasped when they saw the army unit, all lying motionless.
"They've been completely wiped out." Happy said.
"They were up against an entire guild of Wizards." Erza stated. "A small contingent like this wouldn't stand a chance against a group such as Eisenwald."
"Those bastards." Kaen growled, his fists clenched tight.
"Kaen, do you sense their Ki at all?" Grey asked.
Kaen didn't respond, he just picked up the pace and went running towards the Eisenwald Guild's location.
"Papa?" Eri asked, concern and confusion evident in her voice.
"It's okay Eri." Erza said. "Your father is just sad, that all these brave men, won't be able to go home until they've recovered."
"Erza." Grey began.
"Come on, let's follow Kaen's lead." Erza said.
Kaen meanwhile ran straight for the main lobby of the station before he stopped, passing the entry as he skid to a halt.
"Welcome, step into our parlor Fairy Tail Flies." A voice echoed out from the upper area of the room.
"Erigor the Reaper, I presume?" Kaen questioned, looking up at the man floating in the air with the scythe over his shoulders.
"Oh, am I to presume you're the famous Saiyan?" Erigor questioned. "You don't look so tough. You sure you didn't earn your title through cheap parlor tricks?"
"Oh, you haven't even begun to understand what I can do." Kaen glared, reaching into the pouch on the small of his back, and pulling out the Lullaby. "I assume this is what you're after?"
"How thoughtful, you actually brought it here to me." Erigor smiled. "Hand it over, and I'll make your death a swift and painless one."
"See here's the thing." Kaen stated. "I would, but I know you're gonna do some nasty stuff with it. You're either gonna use it on the PA System here in the station, killing all innocent civilians within range to hear the broadcast, or you're gonna use it to cause harm to the legal guild system. An' given the two options, I'd say it's the latter you're aiming for."
"My, you're quite smart, for an ape." Erigor said.
"Now, here's where I'm baffled." Kaen said, as the others came into the station's lobby. "To my knowledge, you'd have to be suicidal to try and attack Era and use Lullaby there, but then I got to thinking," He stated, as he paced back and forth. "There is only one event currently going on, that I know about, involving the Legal Guild System. The Guild Master's Conference."
Erigor tried not to react, but the twitching of his eyes, was all Kaen needed for a response.
"That's it, isn't it?" Kaen asked. "You intend, on using the Lullaby on the Guild Masters, and cause chaos to the legal system, by killing all those gathered there."
"You're far smarter then you look, for a muscle bound imbecile." Erigor glared.
"So no, I won't give you back the Lullaby. But tell you what…" Kaen began, putting the body of the flute in his mouth, his teeth clamping down on it. "I'll let you have half of it."
"No, stop him fools." Erigor ordered.
"Kaen wait, I thought…"
"We don't have time to worry. I'll try to maintain the outcome as best I can." Kaen growled, biting down on the Lullaby, before a resounding screech of pain began emanating from the flute, causing everyone in the station to cover their ears in pain as the screech resonated at such a high frequency, right up to the moment Kaen bit clean through it, breaking the flute in half.
Everyone there froze and gasped in horror, before a light shined through Kaen's teeth, and his cheeks puffed up with the sound of an explosion detonating. With the explosion over, Kaen just smirked, smoke rising from his opened jaw, as he spit out the pieces of flute that had remained in his mouth.
"Look at that, guess it wasn't so bad after all." Kaen smirked, wiping his mouth. "Oh, and one more thing Erigor."
Before Erigor could break from his shocked stupor, Kaen was in front of him, and with a powerful axe kick, struck the Reaper's shoulder, and sent him to the ground.
"It was a member of your guild, that hurt my daughter back on the train. So the entire guild is gonna pay for that." Kaen growled.
"Amazing. He took an explosion, from inside his mouth, and isn't even phased." Erza said.
"Reminds me of another pyro I know." Grey said, looking at the motion sick Natsu.
"He took a big risk destroying the Lullaby like this." Happy said, examining the pieces of the broken flute.
"He basically just killed a demon with one bite, if that screaming from the flute was any indication." Lucy stated.
"Papa." Eri smiled, eyes sparkling with wonder and awe. "You're so cool."
"Get him." Kage shouted, charging at Kaen. "If we all gang up on him, we will win."
"Come on we have to…"
"Erza, stop. I can handle these chumps on my own." Kaen called out. "The rest of you, just focus on keeping Eri safe."
"But Kaen…"
"Don't argue with me." Kaen stated, tossing the Xerox Band over the crowd, with the band landing in Erza's hands. "Put that on Eri. She knows what to do with it."
"Right." Erza said.
"Alright you assholes. You want a piece of me? Come and get it." Kaen growled.
As all the Eisenwald members charged at Kaen, the Saiyan disappeared from their sights, leaving a crater in his wake, before reappearing with his elbow slammed into one of their faces, sending that member of the Eisenwald flying back, and into one of the pillars, crumbling it to pieces.
"Papa." Eri called out.
Kaen turned around, and crossing his hands, grabbed the coming magic bandage weapons of the mummy mage being sent his way. Gripping the bandages, Kaen uncrossed his arms, pulling the Eisenwald mage towards him, and threw the magic user over his head, and slamming him into the floor, causing the ground to shake as Kaen did this repeatedly and before pulling him straight down, and bringing his knee up, hitting the mage in the ribs with double the impact.
Tossing away the now unconscious mage, Kaen brought his hands up, coursing the full power of One-for-All through his body as he just stood there, allowing for the Eisenwald Guild to get closer to him.
"Kaen, move." Erza called out.
"Cover your ears." Eri stated, recognizing that move.
Once the Fairy Tail members had their ears covered, Kaen swung his arms forward, and with a thundering clap, created a sonic boom, resulting in the pressure hitting the Eisenwald Guild and sending them all flying back, some of them out windows, but the rest of them were embedded into the walls and pillars, rendered unconscious.
"Now that wasn't so bad, gotta say. I'm still pissed you murdered those Royal Knights." Kaen stated, dusting his arms off.
"Then why are you still smiling?" Erigor questioned.
Kaen turned to the Dark Guild Master, as he picked himself up, and glared at the Saiyan with anger in his eyes.
"It's my dream to be the Symbol of Peace. An' to do that, I need to show a fearless smile when in battle, no matter what happens, so the people know they're safe." Kaen stated.
"Well sorry to say, that dream of yours, is never gonna come true." Erigor stated. "You have no clue, as to the full extent of Lullaby's power." He cackled, holding up a perfectly intact Lullaby Flute.
"Wait… that's impossible I thought I had…"
"Unless the flute is defeated in its true form, it will always regenerate to good as new, no matter the damage taken." Erigor explained pridefully.
"Guess I'll have to force it to come out of its shell then." Kaen said.
"Good luck with that. But I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you." Erigor smirked, taking to the air. "I think enough time has passed."
"For what?" Kaen inquired.
"See, while you were busy dealing with me and my men, I had a precast spell set up above the station, making a barrier that only I can harmlessly pass through. An' we've toyed with you, long enough to make sure it was completed." Erigor smirked. "Be seeing you around Fairy Tail Flies. I'll be sure to send flowers to Makarov's funeral." He stated, flying out one of the shattered windows.
"He's getting away." Erza called out.
Giving chase, they all made their way to the balcony on the upper level out front, only to stop and find the wind barrier Erigor was talking about.
"Not much we can do. Seems like he wasn't bluffing when he said he set up a barrier before we got here, that only he can pass through." Grey said.
"Find Kage. He's able to undo spells and enchantments like these, even powerful ones. It's how he got his hands on Lullaby in the first place, by breaking the seal that kept it locked away." Kaen said dropping two coins in Eri's swear jar as he walked past her, putting some distance between himself and. "I noticed after I kicked his ass, he ran off, it was probably part of their plan to distract us."
"What are you gonna do?"
Kaen didn't answer verbally, he just broke out into a run, leaving a crater where his foot had been, before he slammed into the barrier.
"What the hell are you doing? You'll die."
Erza moved to try and grab him, to pull Kaen back but was stopped when he began to glow, a red aura enveloping him as he continued to try and force his way through the barrier. Letting out a battle cry, Kaen seemed to be going nowhere before he broke through the barrier, breaching the other side as he forced his power to exceed that of the magic in the barrier.
"Erigor…" Kaen growled, taking to the air. "I am coming for you."
Tracking Erigor's Ki, Kaen went flying towards Clover, the Wind Sorcerer already had a massive head start on him, but that was no problem for the Saiyan. Pushing himself harder as he flew after Erigor, Kaen let loose another battle cry as he flew over the train tracks, his target now in his sights.
"ERIGOR." Kaen roared.
"How?" Erigor gasped turning to look back at Kaen before the Saiyan clothes lined him.
With Erigor still hooked in the crook of his elbow, Kaen flew down to the railway bellow and slammed the Wind Sorcerer into the ground, causing a cloud of dust to build up, and for Erigor to have a coughing fit as he picked himself up on his knees.
"How? I don't understand. How did you make it past my barrier?" Erigor questioned.
"A Saiyan has skin, naturally hard as stone. There are things that can cause harm to us, pierce our flesh, but so long as we keep a protective layer of Ki, and in my case magic, over the flesh, then we become damn near indestructible." Kaen said, kicking Erigor in the jaw, turning him over and knocking him on his back. "But my Ki wasn't powerful enough to defend against your wind barrier's destructive force, it would have, and should have torn me to shreds."
"Then how?" Erigor asked, before Kaen stomped on his chest and removed the flute from the cloaked scarf.
"Let's just say, I'm more Draconic these days." Kaen growled, his eyes turning into reptilian slitted pupils, with red irises, long enough for Erigor to get a look at them, before he passed out. "That's what I thought." He said, his eyes returning to normal.
"Kaen."
The Saiyan teen turned around to see the Magic Mobile with Grey at the driver's seat, coming up from behind on the tracks.
"Hey guys." Kaen said.
"Oh man, you took him down before letting me get a few good licks into him." Grey said.
"Wasn't all that hard." Kaen said, before noticing Kage in the back seat. "Is he gonna be okay?"
"We don't know. We found him like you said to, but before we could get him to break the barrier, one of his Guild Mates ran him through with their magic to keep him from helping us, so we had to find another way." Erza said.
"Luckily, Happy had the solution." Lucy said, holding up a new golden key. "You remember the job involving Duke Everlue?"
"The one you didn't get paid for?" Kaen inquired.
"Yeah, that one. Turns out, when he got arrested his contract with Virgo had been voided, and she gave her key to Happy to give to me, because she wanted me as her new Celestial Wizard." Lucy explained.
"She can dig tunnels, so we used her to escape when Happy finally remembered to give her the key." Grey stated.
As they were talking, Kage saw Kaen standing over Erigor, and he couldn't believe what he was seeing, before he saw the flute in Kaen's hand. With a smirk, Kage came up with a half baked plan, and acted on it as he took to the drivers seat. Without warning, Kage grabbed the flute with his shadows, and drove past the Fairy Tail team, nearly running over them as he made his escape.
"KAGE." Erza cried out.
"What do you think you're doing?" Grey questioned.
"Lullaby's mine now." Kage said. "Shouldn't have let your guard down flies."
"Kaen, after him." Erza said.
"No wait." Kaen said. "Let him go."
"What?" Grey asked.
"Erigor was the only threat to the Guild Masters Conference, and he was going ten times faster then that magic mobile. By the time Kage gets there, the Guild Masters will already be aware and know of what's to come from him." Kaen stated before he smirked confidently. "Besides, something tells me after spending time with you all, Kage won't have the heart to play a single note from that flute."
~Clover~
"Yeah, this will work." Kage said, looking over the conference hall where the Guild Masters were gathered, on a cliffside. "Surely they'll be able to hear the Lullaby's song from here. Finally, the time has come."
Kage froze, fearing he'd been caught when he heard some weird kissing sounds coming from behind him, and turned to see Makarov sitting on a stone, looking at an issue of Sorcerer Weekly.
"There are some hot little numbers in this week's issue." Makarov said. "Wow, young wizarding ladies are so much more powerful then they were back in my day, and sexier too. Ah, I don't have time for this, I need to catch up to those fools before they destroy an entire town." He stated, hopping off the rock. Motioning to take a step forward, Makarov instead twisted around and gasped when he saw Kage, and began to act in a panic. "It's not what it looks like. I was doing some research on female wizards and I have no reason to be…"
"I don't care about what you're doing." Kage said, with a sigh as Makarov stopped.
"You've been hurt badly boy, you shouldn't be wondering around the woods in your condition." Makarov said.
"Yes sir, you're right." Kage said. 'Hold on, that's Makarov, the Master of the Fairy Tail Guild. Why do I keep running into these flies?' He questioned. "Excuse me."
"Hmm, yes?"
"I don't suppose you'd care to hear a song?" Kage asked. "They wouldn't let me play my flute while I was in the hospital. It'd mean a lot to play for someone again."
"That's one creepy looking flute you got there." Makarov said.
"I know, but it has a beautiful sound."
"Well, I should be going. But I guess one song couldn't hurt." Makarov smiled.
"Oh, thank you." Kage smiled. 'We win.' He thought menacingly.
Off in the distance behind Makarov, the team managed to get to the scene just as they saw Kage bringing the flute up to his lips.
"Oh no, Master." Erza cried out.
"Not so fast Erza." Kaen said, stopping the redhead. "Take a look. Kage's frozen, he's trying but he can't bring himself to play the flute."
"My what an astute observation you made." A heavy set man in a maroon dress with angel wings and a bald head smiled appearing out of nowhere.
"Ah Master Bob, lovely to see you again as always." Kaen smiled.
"Oh my, always such the gentleman." Bob said.
"You two met?" Erza asked.
"Master Bob, Master of the Blue Pegasus Guild." Kaen said. "In my travels, Bob personally offered me a place at his guild, but I respectfully declined."
"Shush now, be quiet and enjoy the show." Bob smiled, directing their attention back to Makarov and Kage.
"Well, I can't wait all night young man." Makarov said.
Kage just looked up at Makarov, before bringing the flute closer to his lips, thinking of everything his guild mates said, even what Erigor said.
"Oh no." Erza gasped in shock.
"Ah, just watch Erza." Kaen smiled.
"Can you guys keep it down over there?" A slim man wearing a studded red collar, a pointed hat with another studded red collar, dark clothes, and sunglasses questioned leaning against a tree. "We're just about to get to the good part."
"He's with Quatro Cerberus." Lucy gasped.
"That's their Master, Goldmine." Erza said.
"So, come to take me up on my offer of joining Quatro Cerberus, big guy?" Goldmine questioned, looking at Kaen.
"Sorry, I'm already with the best guild around." Kaen smiled.
"That's right, Papa's in Fairy Tail like Mama." Eri smiled, jumping onto his back.
"Wait, you got an offer from Quatro Cerberus as well?" Lucy asked.
"It's not uncommon for Guild Masters to go searching out big names to recruit into their guilds." Erza said. "But to receive multiple requests from some high ranking guilds, that's something else."
"There were a few more, but I turned them down not really interested in joining them." Kaen shrugged. "Now quiet down, the best part's just about to start."
With Makarov and Kage, the two just stood there with the latter struggling to play even a single note from the flute, before Makarov spoke up.
"Nothing's going to change." Makarov said, as he began to teach Kage a lesson. "You cannot change the fact that those who are weak, will forever remain weak. Now maybe it's just me, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I mean, we humans are weak creatures by nature, our insecurities are the reason that Guilds even exist, and they're why we have friends. When we're surrounded by alleys, it's easier to stay positive about the future. Take our youngest member for example, she and her mother never gave up hope that her father would return to them, even after so many months had passed since they were separated from each other, because those who surrounded them, believed it would happen as well. Think of it this way, if we're clumsy then we may stumble and bump into things, but as long as we have faith in our future, we continue marching forward, our inner strength emerges on its own. But we have to choose that path, and pledge to live our lives to the fullest. Don't let that silly flute get in the way."
Kage just looked to Makarov in awe and admiration, before he dropped the flute and fell to his knees, tears welling up in his eyes as he felt the warmth, and caring nature carried in every word Makarov spoke to him.
"I surrender." Kage said, bowing forward and propping himself up on his hands.
"Master." Erza cried out in joy as the others from Fairy Tail ran to him, minus Kaen who just stood back with Bob and Goldmine.
"So, Fairy Tail huh?" Goldmine asked.
"Yeah, I mean why not? Am I right? My wife and daughter have been members since we arrived in the Sakura Cosmos." Kaen said.
"Due to that accident you mentioned?" Bob smiled.
"Have you figured out a way home yet, or are ya still looking?" Goldmine inquired.
"You know, I don't think we will be able to return home." Kaen said. "But that's okay. We might miss our friends, and our family back home, hell I won't even get to be there for my own sister's wedding ceremony when she and Eijiro tie the knot in traditional Japanese culture, but that doesn't have to be the end of it, because we have new family and friends here in Earthland. An' I'm okay with that."
"That's some mature thinking there kid." Goldmine smiled.
"You might make for a fine Guild Master one day." Bob said.
"Thanks, but it's not over yet." Kaen said.
"What do you mean?" Goldmine asked, neither he nor the others noticing how the flute began to glow.
"Is it a full moon tonight?" Kaen questioned.
"Yeah, why?" Bob inquired.
"Because we're gonna need a little extra muscle for what's about to happen." Kaen said, removing his top as he stepped forward, making Bob blush and nearly faint from seeing his sculpted upper body. "Eri, hold this for Papa, would you?"
"Why?" Eri asked, taking Kaen's top, while he took back the Xerox Band.
"Ahahahahahaha, I've grown tired of you cowardly wizards and your antics." A demonic voice said, as purple lightning began to shoot from the skull of the flute, drawing all their attention to its location.
"Something came out." Eri and Happy said, as they hugged one another in fear.
"Okay, now I see what Kaen was talking about." Goldmine said, as a giant purple magic circle formed in the sky with the same purple lightning crackling down from the circle, hitting the ground.
"I can no longer hold back. I shall come forth to devour you myself." Lullaby declared as purple smoke began spiraling up from the flute, before a giant demon made of wood with three eyes on its face, came out of the circle, with the flute nowhere in sight. "I shall feast, upon your pitiful souls."
"Excuse me Master." Kaen said, tapping Makarov on the shoulder. "But I'm gonna need a boost for this battle."
"Kaen?" Makarov questioned.
"No one interfere in this battle. I'm handling this one on my own." Kaen said, as he began making adjustments to the Titan Magic he copied from Makarov, before finishing and taking off his Xerox Band, and putting it in Lucy's hands. "Hang on to that for me would you?"
"Wait hold on, what are we supposed to do while you fight?" Natsu questioned.
"Clear out the Conference Hall. Make sure civilians don't get caught in the crossfire of the battle." Kaen said, wiping away the black temp dye in his hair, revealing the red streak in it. "Asura, I'm counting on you to keep me in control bud." He whispered. "Hey Lullaby."
The demon looked down at Kaen as he stepped up out of the shadows, his eyes already starting to glow red as the moonlight hit them.
"Let's dance." He stated, his voice getting deeper.
As Kaen stepped towards the cliff, his body began to tremble in pain, before he began to grow, brown fur covering his body before he grew in size to the height of the Demon flute's knee, turning into the Oozaru.
"Papa turned into an Oozaru." Eri cheered.
"A what?" Natsu, Grey, Lucy, and Erza questioned.
"Ha, what are you gonna do to me like that Tiny?" Lullaby mocked.
Letting out a monstrous roar, Kaen slammed his fists into the demons knees, knocking it down to one knee and hitting it with an uppercut to the jaw, knocking it on its back.
"I'll show you what I can do." Kaen growled, showing he was still in control of himself.
As Lullaby began to pick itself up, Kaen's body was enveloped in a golden light, familiar to Makarov and those who'd seen his magic before.
"He used the Xerox Band to copy Master's Titan Magic." Grey gasped as Kaen's body began to change once more with his pants and boots surprisingly remaining in one piece.
The Oozaru Kaen was no more as the majority of his body was covered in crimson red fur, with the skin on his pectorals, hands, face and abdomen having been cleared of the fur, and his primate face having reverted from a muzzle to a strong sculpted structure. Shadow trim surrounded the eyes, and grew, covering the eyelids like eyeshadow, with amber irises. His hair was black again, having grown longer, thicker, and wilder, with the red stripe having turned a neon emerald green and grown to match the length his hair grew, reaching down to the middle of his fur covered back, with two long pointed bangs of hair on both sides of his neck. An' it could have just been perspective but it looks as though his muscle mass had grown bigger then it should have, with the muscle definition clearly seen through the fur that covered his arms.
(Cue Music… Indestructible: Disturbed)
"Holy…" Lucy gasped.
"So if Kaen ever uses Titan Magic, he'll look like that?" Natsu questioned. "Awesome."
"You, you're not human. What are you?" Lullaby questioned, getting back to its feet, showing Kaen stood just as tall as it.
"Me?" Kaen questioned, before his hand shot up, instantly catching a fist thrown at him by the Lullaby Demon. "I'm a Saiyan Warrior."
In one fluid motion, Kaen pulled Lullaby closer by the grabbed arm, and struck it in the side of the head with his elbow, knocking it to the ground bellow.
"What are you waiting for?" Kaen questioned, turning to look at the team. "Get the citizens to safety. I'll try to push the battle away from the town, now get too it."
"He's right, move it people, we need to create an escape route away from this conflict." Erza declared, getting Natsu, Grey, and Lucy to follow her lead.
As the rest of the team was taking care of that, Kaen had to move back as the Lullaby swung its other arm at him, avoiding getting struck with a KO hit, giving the demon a chance to get back up on its feet.
"The last Saiyan to visit the Sakura Cosmos, was four hundred years ago. Her power, her body, all of it was used to create one of Zeref's strongest demons ever to roam this world." Lullaby said. "Yet she was never awakened, because Zeref feared he'd created a monster far stronger then Acnologia, and far more dangerous."
"Then it's a good thing I am here." Kaen smirked, throwing a punch at the demon flute.
"Please." Lullaby scoffed, dodging the blow and hitting Kaen with one of its own. "Do you honestly believe you can stop me from devouring all these souls? With this much power, I'll be able to do something Zeref was too afraid to do; revive his greatest creation."
Moving his head to the side, Kaen grabbed Lullaby's forearm before throwing his other arm at the demon's traps, and slammed the demon into the ground, destroying multiple trees and the terra bellow.
"You won't be doing anything like that." He growled, slamming his foot on Lullaby's back as he began to pull on the demons arm.
"Unhand me at once, you insolent mortal." Lullaby demanded before rolling forward, removing any leverage from Kaen's attack, and slamming its knee into the Titanic Saiyan's ribs.
"GAH." Kaen cried out, as he let go of the demon's arm, toppling over and allowing Lullaby to get back up on its feet.
"An' now, I will devour all your souls." Lullaby declared, preparing to play a song with its magic.
"I wouldn't count on it." Kaen smirked, right before Lullaby let out the magic, but all that was released was out of tune whistling wind.
"What the? My music? My song, why can't I play it?" Lullaby questioned.
"Did you really think I was just trying to pin you down with my attacks?" Kaen questioned, getting back to his feet. "Every move I made, every hit that landed, caused your body to crack, and caused holes to appear in your body, and rendered you completely useless. I happen to play a variety of instruments, including wind instruments, so I'm aware of what would happen if some were damaged."
"You, arrogant bastard." Lullaby growled.
"An' now that you're all washed out, and all the civilians have been moved to a safe distance." Kaen smirked, vanishing from Lullaby's sight, before reappearing again, a fist glowing with pure magical energy. "I think it's about time I stopped holding back."
"No, impossible. I am the Mighty Lullaby, a Demon of the Book of Zeref, there's no way a pathetic mortal could defeat me so easily." Lullaby said, trying to move back, only to trip over the conference hall, and fall on its back, crushing the town bellow.
"There's always a first for everything." Kaen smirked. "Detroit: SMASH." He cried out, hitting Lullaby in the head, causing irreparable damage to the demon as the sky lit up in a flash of purple light.
(End Song…)
When the light died down, the Lullaby had returned to being a flute, but was splintered and cracked in multiple areas of its body.
"Oops." Kaen said, shrinking back down to a normal Oozaru as he looked at the destruction caused by the battle. "I may have overdone it a bit."
"You think?" Lucy questioned. "More then half the town was destroyed and the conference hall is no longer standing, it's nothing but gravel now."
"Come on, let's get out of here before we are put on wanted posters by the townsfolk." Erza said, grabbing Makarov and jumping onto Kaen's outstretched hand.
With everyone else following suit, Kaen put them on his shoulders and left what remained of the town, while the angry villagers didn't even dare to give chase, as they had no clue what Kaen was capable of as a giant ape.
"So Kaen, what's the deal with this big ape transformation?" Natsu questioned.
"It's called an Oozaru. It's the true power of a Saiyan, and it's only unlocked during the full moon." Kaen said. "It's a whole scientific thing, but in short the energy the moon gives off, allows a Saiyan to turn into an Oozaru. Generally it takes years of learning to control the Oozaru transformation."
"Will you turn back?" Grey questioned.
"Eventually, either when the sun rises, or if the moon's obscured by thick storm clouds." Kaen explained. "Usually though, the Oozaru form is meant to be a last resort, an ace in the hole sort of thing."
"Then why use it against Lullaby?" Erza asked.
"Because if I hadn't, I'd never have been able to keep a promise I made to Eri." Kaen said.
"You remembered Papa." Eri gasped with a smile.
"A promise?" Lucy inquired.
"For a while now Eri's wanted to see what an Oozaru transformation looks like, so I promised her if the situation ever arose where I could use the Oozaru in battle, then she'd get to see it." Kaen stated.
"Oh, now that's so sweet." Lucy smiled.
"But still, I went way too overboard in that fight. I should have just ended it then and there, without dragging the battle out and causing all that damage." Kaen said.
"It's fine, destruction is actually what Fairy Tail's known for the most." Natsu said.
"I'm not sure that's the type of reputation you want to have for the guild." Kaen sweat-dropped.
"We'll deal with the consequences when we get back to Fairy Tail." Makarov sighed. "For now, onward back to Magnolia."
~A/N~
Finally updated this story. I love Fairy Tail, but with all my other stories, I'm not sure how I was gonna keep myself motivated on the stories.
Hope you liked this chapter.
