Saiyans of Earthland
"Let me go." Eri cried out, struggling against the chains that restrained her in the center of the ritual circle, while her hair was down due to her missing bow. "Let me go, or my Papa's gonna make you sorry."
"Silence brat." Toby stated. "This is your own fault, for snooping around."
"I'm not talking to you dummy." Eri said, before sticking out her tongue.
"Why you…"
"Enough Toby, don't let a child like her provoke you." Yuka said. "She's all talk anyway. Her father isn't on the island, otherwise we'd have seen someone looking for her by now."
"It's possible he's one of the intruders though." Toby said.
"Maybe, but it's more then likely a lie."
"No I'm not. My Papa is on the island, and he's the Great Saiyan Warrior." Eri stated.
"The who now?" Toby asked.
"Sorry child, but we're on a deserted island far off the coast from the main land. We don't really get a lot of news out here." Yuka stated.
"Yuka, Toby. The ritual's about to commence." Sherry said, stepping up to the ritual circle with a man wearing a demonic helmet, resembling Deliora's head and face.
"Begin the ceremony." The man said.
"As you command Cold Emperor." All his followers bowed.
"Prepare yourself child, for you will meet your end here, along with Deliora once it's awakened." The Cold Emperor stated, looking right at Eri.
"Papa… please come and save me." Eri prayed.
~Caverns Bellow~
Everything was quiet in the caverns bellow. While Natsu, Happy, and Lucy were sleeping, Grey was sitting on a boulder, looking right at Deliora, and Kaen was a bit of a ways off, not really paying attention to what was going on, while pulling some stuff off his arm. But while he was doing that, his mind kept racing to Eri. If his Scouter Shades were right, it was nearly nightfall, which meant the moon would be coming out at any moment.
"Kaen." Grey began. "We're gonna get Eri back. Don't you worry."
"It's not that I'm worried about. Not entirely anyway." Kaen said. "It's a full moon tonight, and will be for a couple more nights, before the lunar cycle starts back up. This planet's full moons lasts for a couple days longer then it does on Earth."
"How long did the full moon come out on Planet Vegeta?" Grey asked.
"According to my mom… once every eight years, give or take." Kaen said.
"Damn, that's one hell of a long lunar cycle." Grey said.
"No kidding." Kaen said.
"So what about the full moon has you worried? I thought you could control your Oozaru form?" Grey inquired.
"It's not my Oozaru form I'm worried about." Kaen said, holding up his hand, and showing what he plucked from his arm. "It's what this curse is doing to me, and how this ritual might have been created by Saiyans, originally anyways."
"Is that a ruby?" Grey asked.
"No, it's a scale. One I pulled from my arm." Kaen said. "If I read the Saiyago correctly while we were still up on the ground floor, the Saiyans who came to Earthland those centuries ago, developed something powerful, and dangerous, with the aid of Zeref, and a couple Sorceresses named Irene, and Anna."
"Saiyago?" Grey asked.
"The language and writing of the Saiyans." Kaen said. "It would seem they felt the need to keep a record of the events that transpired on the island."
"But… what could they gain from such a spell?" Grey asked. "What was it supposed to do exactly?"
Before Kaen could answer that, something snapped in his mind, and he was instantly on his feet as the cavern began to rumble as a ray of purple light shined down through a magic circle on the cavern ceiling, and hit the ice sealed demon.
"The ritual's begun." Grey said.
"Eri." Kaen whispered.
Crouching down, Kaen jumped high into the air, the power of One-for-All empowering his leap, before he slammed into the ceiling of the cavern, and began burrowing through.
"The hell?" Grey questioned, before realization hit him. "Lucy, Natsu, Happy. Wake up, it's time to move."
~Top of the Temple~
"The ritual has nearly reached its climax." The Cold Emperor said. "Soon Deliora shall awaken, and I shall prove my strength."
"AAAHHHH!" Eri cried out, her body wracked in pain as she was enveloped in the moon drip. Ropes of lavender colored lightning sparked around her, as the ritual brought down the moonlight.
"Let this be a warning to all those, who get in the way of my goal." The Cold Emperor stated. "No matter who you are, I will break you down to get what I desire."
"Wait… this isn't right." Toby said. "I thought the moon drip would just erase her memories, not do this."
"Quit being such a baby Toby." Sherry said.
"The outcome will still be the same." Yuka said. "The Cold Emperor's vision will be seen through, and we'll no longer have any inter…"
Yuka stopped talking as the ground beneath their feet began to rumble, and shake, stopping the summoners from worshiping, and ending Eri's pain.
"What's going on?" Sherry questioned.
"Is Deliora already awake?" Yuka asked.
"No, it's still too soon for Deliora to awaken. This is something else." The Cold Emperor said, as the ground began to crack beneath his feet.
"SMASH." Kaen cried out, slamming through ground and hitting the Cold Emperor with an uppercut to the jaw.
Toby, Yuka, Sherry, and all the other worshipers gasped when they saw Kaen manage to land a hit on their leader, as he'd just sprung out of the ground like a weed.
"Papa." Eri smiled.
"That's her father?" Toby asked.
"The guy looks like he eats actual bars of iron for breakfast." Yuka stated.
"So muscly, and so defined. He looks like he came straight from a pantheon of deities." Sherry said, hearts in her eyes. "I wouldn't mind a man who's a single father."
Without turning to look at them, Kaen was instantly behind the trio and through the worshipers, as he grabbed the chains holding Eri down, and broke them just from pulling on them.
"Papa, you came for me." Eri cried happily.
"Are you okay Kitten, are you hurt anywhere?" Kaen asked.
"My body hurts a bit due to the ritual, but I'll be fine." Eri said.
Kaen sighed in relief, before his ears perked up, and his eyes widened.
"Eri, when I tell you, spread your wings." Kaen said.
"Papa?" Eri asked, before she gasped as Kaen threw her into the air, just before a cage of ice enveloped him.
"NOW ERI." Kaen shouted.
With her wings spread, Eri was safe in the air away from the worshipers.
"Papa."
"Go back to the village, find the elder, he'll keep you safe."
"I won't leave you Papa."
"Just do as I say." Kaen said. "You know me Eri. I'll always come back to you." He said, with a fearless smile on his face.
Eri just looked at Kaen, before she dodged as eagles of ice came flying at her, and looked down to see the Cold Emperor, threw that attack at her. With nothing left she could do, Eri turned and flew towards the village down the mountain.
"She managed to escape. With the aid of her father, no less." Yuka said.
"It doesn't matter. In the end, there's nothing she can do to stop us, not on her own." Sherry said.
"I'm surprised really, I thought you'd break out of there by now." The Cold Emperor said, looking to Kaen. "I'm more proficient in animals then inanimate objects with my magic."
"Trust me, I'm just as confused as you are." Kaen said. "First my flying technique stops working once I get to this island, and once I got into this ritual circle to free my daughter, all my power seemed to vanish, leaving me susceptible to your trap."
"Guess this just isn't your lucky day." Yuka said.
"Nah, I think it's more to do with what this ritual's actually for." Kaen said. "You see, this temple, and the inhabitants of this island, were all what are known as Saiyans, and this ritual, was designed as something to help them achieve something, but I can't know what for until I read more of the hieroglyphics in the temple."
"The child mentioned what you said earlier. What is a Saiyan?"
"A powerful being, who can turn into a monster, as destructive as Deliora, if looking up at the full moon." Kaen said.
"You can really do that?" Toby questioned in panic.
"You bluff." The Cold Emperor stated.
"I'd show you myself, but the moon's kinda blocked from my sight with this cage." Kaen said.
"Enough talk, let the ritual commence." Yuka told the worshipers.
As the worshipers continued on with their duties, the light from the moon came down again washing over Kaen as it went down to the caverns bellow, to Deliora. Like Eri, Kaen was awashed with pain, as ropes of violet lightning were electrifying him.
Off in the near distance behind the Cold Emperor, Natsu, Grey, Lucy, and Happy poked their heads out, to see what was going on, and gasped when they saw Kaen sitting in the ice cage, enduring the pain of the ritual, without uttering more then a few grunts.
"How can he endure something like this?" Grey asked.
"How the hell did he get caught?" Natsu asked.
"Must have been when he saved Eri. I think he unintentionally took her place when he saved her." Lucy said.
"Hold up, they're talking." Happy said. "What are they saying?"
"It seems that the intruders we had earlier, left one of their own behind to find the child." Sherry said.
"It seems so." The Cold Emperor said, his voice hitting something in Grey. "The time has almost come. If you find the rest of his compatriots, kill them. I don't want anybody getting in my way again."
"They must have been villagers. They're the only other people on this island, and this must be their strongest fighter." Sherry said.
"Leave those villagers out of this." Kaen grunted in pain getting to his feet. "I didn't come from that village. I came from Fairy Tail, the most powerful guild, in the Kingdom of Fiore." The glare in his eyes, showed the four main cause of this problem, that he was not playing around, and he still had the strength to stand.
"So you're here answering a request for help from the villagers." The Cold Emperor said, standing strong while Toby, Yuka, and Sherry all shivered under the intensity of Kaen's glare. "You three, destroy the village."
"NO!" Kaen shouted, his hands gripping the bars of ice, as his aura flared up.
As the Saiyan's aura flared, shreds of his power were stripped away and mixed into the Moon Drip, and through the ice they traveled and seeped into the demon Deliora's near lifeless body, before the demons eyes began to glow red.
~Village~
"Moka, Moka." Eri cried out, flying into the village.
"Child, there you are." Moka said, as Eri landed on the ground. "Where did you go? We've been looking everywhere for you."
"I'm sorry, I went to investigate the temple to get a head start on Papa's quest, then I got caught by the mean men responsible for what's happening, and then Papa saved me, but now we have a bigger problem." Eri said. "Your curse is a side effect of the Moon Drip ritual being used to resurrect a demon named Deliora."
"Oh dear me." Moka said.
"Papa sent me back to find shelter, because those mean men were trying to kill me to silence me." Eri said. "But I have a better plan. We're gonna set up traps for when they enemy comes knocking."
"How… how are we gonna do that?" Moka asked.
"Just leave it to me." Eri smiled.
~Temple~
"No, you can't destroy the village. You'll kill everyone in it." Kaen growled.
"That's not my problem. It is their own fault, for getting involved in something they shouldn't have." The Cold Emperor said. "Though it is a shame, there has to be blood shed. But I suppose the child we were silencing will be silenced in the end."
"No." Kaen growled. "I won't let you hurt Eri."
Kaen's grip continued to tighten on the bars of ice, as the sparks of electricity dancing off his body became more violent and erratic.
"There's nothing you can do. So long as you're in that ritual circle, you're powerless. You said so yourself." The Cold Emperor stated.
"That's enough." Kaen declared, breaking the ice cage.
This sudden show of force caused the villains of the island to gasp in shock, as the bracers on Kaen's arms were shredded to pieces, and his forearms up to the backs of his hands were covered in scales.
"I won't let you harm the village." Kaen growled. "I will stop you, and I will make you pay for the pain you inflicted on my daughter."
"No way." Natsu gasped.
"Did the Moon Drip do that to him?" Lucy questioned.
"You three go and eradicate the village now." Lyon stated.
"Right." The trio of henchmen said, before leaving to prepare the village's doom.
"Lucy, Natsu, Grey." Kaen said. "Get back to the village, and protect it from whatever those three have planned, I've got a score to settle with this so called, Emperor."
"No way." Grey said. "I've got a score to settle with him. Isn't that right, Lyon?"
Kaen stopped and looked at Grey, before looking to the cold Emperor.
"So that's it." Kaen said. "You both had the same master. Explains why you're both ice mages, and how you know him Grey. Alright, I'll leave you to finish this, and you'd better win. Otherwise I'll be the one to finish this if you fail."
"Just go. I'll deal with this myself." Grey said.
Kaen nodded before he rushed past the Cold Emperor, stealing his helmet and revealing his face and his icy silver hair, before grabbing Natsu, Lucy, Happy, and began running down the mountain side.
"Well he's certainly fast, and it seems the Moon Drip ceremony had a different affect on him." Lyon said, before he had to jump back to avoid Grey's ice attack, and sent one of his own at his fellow ice mage, canceling each other out.
"How could you Lyon? Do you have any idea what you're doing?"
"Oh Grey, it's been quite a while, hasn't it?" Lyon stated.
"Why would you revive Deliora?" Grey asked.
"To think that you were one of the Wizards called to this island, to help those poor villagers." Lyon said. "Did you come, knowing you would find me, or is this just mere coincidence? Not that it makes any difference to me."
"Answer, the damned question." Grey said, sending another ice attack at Lyon, only for it to be blocked by an ice shield. "Ur's final act was sealing that monster away. Are you really so callus that?"
"Enough with the games Grey, you're the one who murdered Ur, so just admit it." Lyon said. "I'm surprised you have the gull to even speak her name!" He exclaimed, throwing an attack of ice magic at him, hitting his former fellow student with an ice pufferfish, and sending him into one of the crumbling walls.
"Lyon." Grey said.
"What's wrong? Don't tell me the guilt is finally getting to you." Lyon mused.
"You can't do this. You can't free that monster." Grey said.
"I'm warning you Grey, don't try to interfere. Whether you like it or not, I'm resurrecting Deliora." Lyon stated.
"I won't let you."
Lyon just looked at Grey, before raising his hand, and accumulating his magic power in his palm.
"Ice Make: Eagle!" He chanted, as arrow like birds made of ice flew from his magic circle and towards Grey.
"Ice Make: Shield!" Grey chanted, erecting the icy defense.
The shield proved ineffective though, as the eagles just went around and over it, hitting Grey with their razor like heads, and exploding like bombs on impact.
"While your specialty is creating inanimate objects, static ice make magic, mine is creating living creatures, active ice make magic." Lyon said. "Did you forget my ice has the ability to move?" He questioned, before Grey jumped out from the pile of ice that had formed, and was in the air.
"Ice Make: Hammer!" Grey chanted, slamming a fist into an open palm, and sending it at Lyon.
"Ice Make: Ape!" Lyon chanted, holding up two fingers and generating the animal made of ice, blocking the hammer and destroying it. "How pathetic. You still use two hands when casting your ice make spells."
"Yeah, 'cause that's what Ur taught us." Grey said. "Single handed spell casting is incomplete and unbalanced."
"Well I'm the exception to that rule." Lyon stated. "I surpassed Ur's skill level, a long time ago."
"Shut your mouth." Grey glowered.
"Regardless. Ever since we were children, you've never been able to land a single hit on me." Lyon said.
"I'm a lot stronger now, then I used to be." Grey said, performing to spell casting hand motions. "Ice Make: Geyser!"
Slamming his hands on the ground, Grey sent the attack at Lyon, to which he didn't seem phased by it at all, as he was enveloped in the ice. The massive attack managed to disrupt the ceremony as the temple began to shake and tremble, before the geyser was destroyed, with Lyon standing there, unscathed by it.
"Nothing has changed." Lyon said, pridefully. "I was always the superior student, and I'm still stronger then you. I was able to master single handed ice make magic, while you still have to rely on two hands. It's just like the old days, we may have chosen different paths, but we're frozen in time. Our rankings as Wizards never change." He exclaimed, raising his hand, and casting a spell without even chanting the incantation, as a dragon made of ice sprouted from the ground, and trapped Grey in its jaws. "That's why I'm resurrecting Deliora, to prove that I am more then Ur's star pupil." He stated, as his ice dragon threw Grey to the ground. "As a child, I only dreamed of one thing; the day I would surpass Ur's abilities as a Wizard. But you ruined it for me Grey. After she died, I thought my life long dream of surpassing her, had been dashed. Until I realized, there was still a way for me to achieve my dream. If I can defeat Deliora, a demon so strong that not even Ur can vanquish it, then I will have surpassed her power, my dream will finally become a reality."
"Listen to me. That thing destroyed everything we cared about, and you wanna bring it back, just to prove how strong you are?" Grey asked. "That's insane. Please, you can't do this."
Those words seemed to strike a cord within Lyon as his eyes widened in anger when hearing them. In anger, Lyon created several snakes of ice that tore through his shirt, and began biting and tearing at his flesh.
"Pleas, you can't do this, really?" He repeated mockingly as he sent more ice eagles at Grey. "Funny you say that. Those were the exact words we said to you that fateful day. Surely you haven't forgotten. It's because you challenged Deliora, that Ur lost her life." He exclaimed, creating an ice ape that beat Grey around like a punching bag. "I can't stand you even speaking her name in my presence, be gone." He stated, creating another ice dragon that slammed into Grey, and hit him with multiple attacks. "This is the end Grey."
~Kaen~
"Alright, we've made it back to the village." Kaen said, putting Natsu and Lucy down at the gates. Putting his hands on the gates, Kaen used all the strength in his arms to push it open, and allow for them to enter.
"It's the Fairy Tail Wizards." One of the villagers said.
"They made it back okay."
"Were you able to stop whoever's doing the ritual that caused this?"
"Please tell us we're safe."
"I'm sorry." Kaen began. "We hadn't run into any of the Deliora cultists, before coming here. For some reason, they're taking their whoa…" The Saiyan stopped as he fell into a tiger trap that had somehow been hidden.
"Kaen." Lucy and Natsu called to him as they looked in the trap.
"Don't worry. I'm fine." Kaen said, dusting himself off, before jumping out of the pit. "Eri?"
"Yes Papa?" Eri asked, poking her head out from the crowd.
"You made the tiger trap, didn't you?"
"I did. Sorry Papa."
"It's okay, you were just trying to help protect the village." Kaen said. "But I've got some disturbingly bad news about Deliora."
"What about it?" Lucy asked.
"That ritual, was designed for something involving unleashing a Saiyan's inner demon. I don't know the specifics, but while I was in the cage and enveloped by the Moon Drip, something bad happened, and Deliora might not be as weak as Lyon might think when he fully resurrects him." Kaen said. "Happy, I need you to head back to the temple. Check on Grey, but stay out of sight if anyone besides him is still there. But if you're able to, bring Grey back with you."
"Aye sir." Happy said, before flying off.
"Kaen, I find it kinda strange." Lucy said.
"About Lyon's lackeys? Me to." Kaen said. "They left long before we did and yet we haven't seen them."
"Um, guy's look up." Natsu said.
They all looked up to see the giant rat from earlier, who was identified as Angelica, flying in the sky, with a giant bucket of jelly. Angelica was using its tail like a propeller as it flew high in the air. A drop of the substance in the bucket fell from the bucket and fell towards Eri.
"Jelly?" Eri questioned, before Kaen's arm covered her, and was drenched in the substance, as it began to burn him. "Papa." Eri panicked.
"I'll be fine." Kaen said, flicking his right arm, and sending the jelly to the ground. "That's acid. Jelly fish based. They plan on melting the entire village. Where's the center of town?"
"Right over this way." Moka said, leading him to the center of town. "But your arm."
"I'll be fine. I'm not gonna let a little burn stop me." Kaen said.
"That's not what I'd call little. I can see your muscle and bone." Lucy exclaimed.
"Alright. Everyone needs to stay calm. I haven't done anything on this big a scale before, but I'm not gonna risk your lives being wasted away, just because Lyon doesn't want you interfering." Kaen growled, his hair taking on an icy blue tint to it, with the red streak becoming violet at the edges, as his body began letting off an icy mist.
"What's happening?" Lucy asked.
Gritting his teeth, Kaen slammed his hands down on the ground, letting his power run wild, before a pillar of ice sprouted from the ground and went above the village limits, just as the giant rat threw the contents of its bucket at the village.
The villagers began to scream in horror, before Kaen's eyes burst open with energy, and twisting his hands, the ice began to quickly spread out in thick layers.
"Ice Dragon's Lair!" He declared, as the ice formed into a solid, thick dome that covered more then the perimeter of the village, and encased some of the jungle around them as well. The acid landed on the dome of ice, before slowly going down the sides, to the ground. The ice of course was melting, but the water that formed was leading the acid away, and upon impact with the ground, the acid mixed water ate through the ground, and created a circular river of acidic water, while the village remained untouched. Kaen was panting, breathing heavily before he fell back, unable to move.
"What was that?" Natsu asked.
"Was that ice magic?" Lucy inquired, kneeling at his side.
"No…" Kaen huffed, ice forming over the acidic burn on his arm. "One of the Quirks I… have in my core, is Half Hot Half Cold. But instead of one of my sides producing one of two elements be it fire or ice, I split them up, and can use both freely throughout my entire body if needed. Thing is… Quirks are a physical extension of the body, so right now… I'm too exhausted to actually move. I need a Senzu Bean."
"Papa… I'll go get one from the hut." Eri said running off to the guest hut she and Kaen were permitted to use.
"What a shame." Yuka said, as himself, Toby, and Sherry landed on the ground.
"The Cold Emperor ordered us to eradicate the village and its people." Sherry stated. "We were trying to show mercy by making your deaths quick and painless. But since that didn't work, we'll have to resort to bloodshed. An' we put in quite the effort to make all that extra poisonous jelly to make it extra fast as well."
"Kaen, you sure you can't move?" Lucy asked.
"I can't." Kaen said. "My body feels like it's been paralyzed by something."
"That's be the poison jelly." Sherry said. "I hate to see such a hunk of a man suffer, and I do wish I could have had you to myself, but you've gotten in the way of Lyon's plans, and we have our orders."
"Fifty villagers, two Wizards, an incapacitated Wizard, shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes." Yuka exclaimed.
"You ready?" Natsu asked.
"Yeah." Lucy said, grabbing her belt.
"How dare they, such disrespect." Moka growled.
"Everyone." Kaen said, trying to move. "Get out of the village, you need to evacuate."
"We're not going anywhere without you." One of the villagers said, as they picked him up. "You saved our home, and our lives, there's no way we'd be able to just leave you here."
"Stand me up, please." Kaen said.
The villagers did as asked, and stood Kaen up. The Saiyan teen huffed as he was on shaky legs, and looked up at those attacking the village, just as Angelica the giant rat, landed behind the trio.
"We're not leaving, until everyone in this village is dead. Angelica."
The rat known as Angelica jumped into the air, with Sherry jumping into the air, and landing in her hands ratty hands, and flying to the retreating villagers.
"Oh no you don't." Lucy shouted.
Without warning, the blonde was now holding on to one of Angelica's toes.
"Oh no, I must have gotten caught up in all the action." She gasped.
"Yep she's insane." Natsu said.
"Leave the villagers alone, they didn't do anything to deserve this." Lucy shouted punching Angelica's toe.
From where he stood, Kaen saw that the two remaining would be no problem for Natsu to handle on his own. However…"
"Papa." Eri called out, running towards them with the sack of Senzu Beans. "I've got them."
"Wave!" Yuka chanted, sending an attack at Eri, and knocking her away, and into one of the huts, causing it to collapse on her.
"Eri." Kaen's eyes widened in horror, as all they reflected was the rubble that was the hut.
"That should take care of the little…" Yuka began to say, before his eyes widened as he felt a menacing presence, and turned his head to see Kaen was right in front of him with his eyes glowing red.
"Detroit: SMASH!" Kaen chanted, throwing a punch at Yuka.
At the very last second, Yuka had managed to bring up a barrier of his anti-magic, to block Kaen's attack. But that had little to no affect, as Kaen's punch was not powered by magic, it was nothing but the pure strength of his Quirk, and Yuka was sent flying back into one of the walls surrounding the village.
"Jelly-Fish Stingers!" Toby shouted, running at Kaen, and scratching him with his magic claws. "Eh?" He was terrified, as Kaen didn't seem at all affected by them, before the Saiyan hit him with a downward diagonal kick to the shoulder.
"How's he moving like that, when he was just paralyzed moments ago?" One of the villagers asked.
"Eri." Natsu said. "His rage when seeing what happened to Eri is so great, that his body's literally fighting the paralysis through pure adrenaline alone. He's gone berserk."
"Interesting. So this is what a Fairy Tail Wizard's capable of." Yuka groaned, hobbling back to them, before he brought up a barrier as Natsu sent a breath attack his way. "A wizard who can breathe fire, I see. Don't tell me you're the Salamander from Fairy Tail I've heard so much about?" He asked as the fire was dispersed.
"So what if I am?" Natsu questioned.
"You know we used to be wizards of a pretty famous guild ourselves, so you shouldn't blow us off." Yuka exclaimed. "In fact Iron Rock Jura used to belong to the same guild. Surely, you've heard of the Lamia Scale."
Natsu ignored the blue haired villain and blasted fire from his hands at him in anger.
"Hey, cut it out. Listen when I'm talking to you." Yuka exclaimed.
"Why? You think I care what guild you're from, or who the other members are?" Natsu questioned, the heat rising with his anger. "We came here to help the villagers and you're the ones who put them in danger. Not to mention you might have just killed an innocent child, whose parents are members of our guild, which makes you Fairy Tail's enemy, and that gives me more than enough reason to fight you."
"Tough talk, coming from a fool weaker then me." Yuka said.
"Oh, you think I'm weak do ya?" Natsu asked. "Unfortunately, I'm not gonna get the chance to prove you wrong."
"Huh?" Yuka asked, unaware of Kaen's hulking form standing right behind him, with his fist raised high, and his teeth clenched in pure rage, as what looked like a bone mask had began manifesting itself on the right side of his face.
~Angelica's Crash Sight~
Lucy groaned as she picked herself up off the ground. Her tactic for punching the giant rat's foot didn't work, so she went with trying to tickle it instead, and that plan had worked. Unfortunately, it had worked a little too well, as Angelica lost control of her tail, and they crashed to the ground like a zeppelin had a hole punched into it.
As Lucy got to her feet, a shadow loomed over her, and she looked up to see it was Sherry, with tears streaming down her face as if Lucy had killed the giant rat.
"You little pest, how dare you harm my beautiful Angelica, there will be no love for you. I'm gonna make you pay." Sherry exclaimed in anger.
"Bring it on, let's see what you got." Lucy said.
"Marionette Magic: Tree Doll!"
Lucy didn't know what Sherry had done, until she heard the sound of creaking wood, and turned around to see a moving tree heading in to attack her. But thankfully, Lucy was quick to react, and didn't freeze in horror.
"Open Gate of the Golden Bull, Taurus!" Lucy shouted summoning one of her celestial spirits, bringing forth a humanoid man cow with rippling muscles.
"That's not very nice to do to a lady you mooooving pile of fire wood." Taurus exclaimed using his axe to cut it down.
"So you're a celestial wizard huh? Your kind don't like my magic and your about to find out why." Sherry exclaimed with an evil smirk as she used her magic on the summoned spirit.
Taurus's eyes turned pink and he directed his attacks on Lucy, he slammed his battle axe down on the ground, while destroying the straps on her shirt, leaving her in only a pink breast band to cover her chest. Sherry was using her magic to control Taurus, and he was losing the battle of fighting back. Lucy stumbled back as she fell to her back, with Taurus's fist punching through the dirt by her head.
"Taurus please, snap out of it." Lucy pleaded with her Celestial Spirit.
"This is so entertaining." Sherry smiled.
"I'm sorry Ms. Lucy, I can't control my mooovements." Taurus exclaimed as he pinned her down, his hands firmly holding her arms.
"Marionette attack magic, you like? It allows me to control any living thing, well except for humans that is. It works well on your spirit friend." Sherry stated.
"Please, let me go." Lucy pleaded as Taurus's grip was starting to get painful.
"I wish that I could Ms. Lucy, I can't help it. She's controlling my every moooove." Taurus stated.
"Close now, gate of the Golden Bull." Lucy tried to undo the summoning, but it wasn't working.
"I thought Celestial Gates, couldn't be closed unless both parties consent to it." Sherry stated.
"Close the gate, Taurus please." Lucy pleaded.
"Beg all you want, but it won't make any difference."
"Taurus." Lucy cried out.
"Oh I know, let's play a round of Russian Roulette Punches." Sherry said, controlling Taurus with her magic. "Close your eyes, and punch 'till you get a hit."
Taurus tried fighting back, but ultimately he still threw a punch at Lucy, but missed as she moved her head to avoid the strike.
"Fun, but how long can you dodge before you wear out?" Sherry asked, as she made Taurus pull back for another strike.
"Don't hit me." Lucy cried out as Taurus slammed his fist into the ground on her other side.
"I'm trying not to." Taurus said, before Sherry made his clasp his hands together, and throw down a double strike.
"Are all Fairy Tail Wizards, as pathetic as you?" Sherry asked. "This is just sad."
"Taurus, remember the contract you made with me. Snap out of it. You promised that you'd always be around to protect me, remember?" Lucy shouted as Taurus was now holding her down again, his eyes flashing between neon pink and back to normal. Taurus screamed out in pain and flung his head back as he fought the spell.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing? Just finish her off already." Sherry shouted, as Taurus clenched a fist, and pulled back to punch Lucy again.
"You heard what she said, we can send you back, but we have to work together." Lucy shouted. "You gotta fight it Taurus."
Taurus raised his fist into the air, and stopped when it was less than three inches from her faces. Lucy looked up and smiled as she saw Taurus had broken free of Sherry's control and had closed his gate, as he started to turn into starlight, while returning to his own realm.
"It worked." Lucy gasped holding up her hands.
"She beat it. My Marionette Attack Magic failed me." Sherry stated in disbelief. "But how could this happen?"
Lucy stood up confident and proudly, grabbing her whip.
"Watch out, cause you're dealing with a full-fledged wizard of the Fairy Tail Guild now." Lucy smirked.
"You were able to close the gate, even though I was in control." Sherry exclaimed from her rock doll.
"Guess that means I'm stronger than you." Lucy smiled.
"Well I wouldn't go that far. Remember my power allows me to take control of any celestial spirit you call forth."
"Don't be so sure." Lucy smiled holding Plue's key.
"Open, Gate of Cainus Minor. Nicola." Lucy shouted.
Out of the gate popped a small white creature with an orange nose that looked like a karat. He was visibly shaking.
"Isn't he the cutest little thing? Oh I'm in love." Sherry exclaimed.
"Would you quit talking about love all the time, because it's getting pretty old." Lucy stated.
"Well someone's bitter." Sherry exclaimed with a tick forming on her forehead. "Marionette Attack. Now you're my puppet." Sherry stated taking control of Plue, and making him go over and attack Lucy.
However, Plue wasn't as strong as she was anticipating.
"You're kidding me." Sherry exclaimed, in disbelief.
"I knew you'd fall for that, and that's why I summoned Plue." Lucy smiled.
"You little bitch. You deliberately summoned a weak spirit." Sherry cursed before using her magic again.
"That's right, I knew that if I summoned little Plue here, it would make your spell totally pointless." Lucy stated, using her whip against Sherry again.
Dodging the attack, Sherry was growing annoyed with little Plue, still attacking Lucy and not having any affect on her whatsoever.
"Geeze I release you from command." Sherry stated removing her spell from Plue.
Once the spell was off Plue, he stopped what he was doing and bowed in apology to Lucy.
"Oh I know you didn't mean it, now go back okay?" Lucy smiled as Plue returned to the Celestial Spirit realm.
"Marionette Magic: Rock Doll!"
Lucy used her whip to strike the rock doll, while she just ignored Plue's attacks on her legs. Lucy's attacks were effective, but not enough to take the pink haired woman down. Sherry charged at Lucy with her rock doll, and knocked the blonde girl back through the foliage, and landed on the sands of the beach. Spotting the water, Lucy got a bit of a risky idea that we sure to get her in a world of trouble with this certain spirit.
"Open, Gate of the Water Bearer, Aquarius!" Lucy shouted sticking her key into the sea water.
In a flash of light, and the ringing of a door bell echoing through the air, the Mermaid spirit Aquarius, appeared and didn't look too pleased with Lucy.
"Aquarius? How does a weakling like you have a spirit with that kind of power?" Sherry questioned.
"That girl is our enemy. You hate her kind." Lucy said, pointing to Sherry. "So go get her."
Aquarius just tsked as she looked at Lucy.
"I don't have time to deal with your bad attitude." Lucy stated. "Get over there and take her down, now."
"Well I see you're just as annoying as ever." Aquarius said. "No wonder, you, still don't have a boyfriend."
"Geeze, why do you have to keep rubbing it in like that?" Lucy questioned.
"Marionette Attack! You will now do as I command." Sherry said, using her magic to take over Aquarius.
"What?" Aquarius asked, her eyes glowing with Sherry's magic.
"She's under my spell, so she won't do your bidding anymore. Might as well send her back." Sherry said confidently.
"No way." Lucy stated. "Aquarius is still my ace in the hole."
"I bet you won't still think that, when the sea washes away your pitiful existence." Sherry stated. "Now Aquarius, get rid of this stupid girl, once and for all."
"What?" Aquarius asked, even angrier then before. "I was already planning on it."
Using her magic Aquarius brought a mighty title wave to the shore, and used it to wash away the rock doll, Sherry, and Lucy. As she'd broken free of Sherry's control the instant the pink haired girl gave the command.
"Huh, and I thought the blonde girl was stupid." Aquarius said. "I can close my own gave thank you very much, bu-bye." She stated, vanishing in watery light, and returning to the spirit realm.
As the attack dissipated, Lucy and Sherry managed to pick themselves up, though there was nothing special that was gonna be happening, due to the attack they suffered from.
"Leave it to Aquarius to hurl her waves against friend and foe alike." Lucy said her eyes swirling from how dizzy she was.
"I hate myself for allowing you to trick me again." Sherry said, just as dizzy as Lucy. "But it doesn't matter, because she wasn't strong enough to destroy my rock doll."
"An' so what? That puppet of yours can't do anything unless you're there to control it." Lucy said. "I knew all I had to do was get you away from there, and it worked, because now you're too dizzy to even walk a straight line." She stated, before she and Sherry bumped into one another and began to fight. "That's what you get for messing with a member of Fairy Tail."
"I can't believe we ended up in a stalemate." Sherry said.
"What do you mean stalemate? I'm obviously the winner here." Lucy argued.
"You can't just declare yourself the winner in a fight, if that's the case then I'm the winner." Sherry stated.
"I don't think so." Lucy exclaimed pulling a lariat on Sherry and knocking her to the ground.
"No, how'd this happen to me." Sherry said, sounding sad. "I never lose."
"Oh yeah, well you just did." Lucy smiled. "To a Wizard from Fairy Tail."
"Angelica… avenge your master's death." Sherry gasped before falling unconscious.
Out of nowhere, Angelica, the giant rat, came leaping out of the jungle greenery. Lucy was too weak and dizzy to even stand and run, as she was shaking in fear for her life.
"Oh no, this can't be the end." Lucy exclaimed.
From out of nowhere, a blur came towards them, and sliced the underside of Angelica, defeating her and forcing her to lay next to her master.
"Erza…" Lucy cheered managing to get up and run to her.
Erza did not look pleased with Lucy.
'I forgot, she's mad at us because we broke guild rules and took an S-Class quest without permission.' Lucy thought as she was now regretting some of her life decisions.
"Where's Kaen?" Erza asked.
~Village~
"Kaen, you gotta settle down man." Natsu said, as he tried to keep the Saiyan from destroying everything. "They're down, you beat them to a bloody pulp, but don't go killing them. Not until they tell us how to turn the people of this village back to normal."
Kaen was raging out, his anger had boiled over, and as a result, both Yuka and Toby were lying, on the brink of death over by the village gates. His body was a lot bigger, and resembling more of a gorilla's then a Saiyan's, as the bone mask had completely formed over his face, making him look more demonic then human, or Saiyan.
"What the hell did that Moon Drip ritual do to you?" Natsu questioned, dodging a strike from the rage blind Saiyan.
Moving back, Natsu was about to counter with his own attack, but fell in the tiger pit Eri had dug earlier.
"Oh crap." Natsu groaned as Kaen loomed over it.
Raising his hand with a Ki blast ready to strike, Kaen was stopped, when he heard the gentle strumming of guitar strings reaching his ears. Managing to reach the top of the pit and look over, Natsu saw Mina walking forward, and strumming what looked like an electric guitar, with an acoustic setting on it.
(Cue Music… You'll be in my heart: Celtic Women)
"Come stop your crying, it'll be alright." Mina sang, gently walking forward, with Kaen slowly circling around her. "Just take my hand, hold it tight."
Kaen seemed to calm down, hearing the melodic tune and slowly came closer to Mina.
"I will, protect you from, all around you. I will be here, don't you cry."
Looking over, Mina spotted Natsu rummaging through the ruble of the fallen house, and pulled Eri out. It took everything Mina had not to react, as Natsu grabbed the fallen bag of Senzu Beans, and gave one to the child.
"For one so small, you seem so strong. My arms will hold you keep you safe and warm. This bond between us, can't be broken. I will be here don't you cry. 'Cause you'll be in my heart. Yes you'll be in my heart, from this day on, for now and forever more. You'll be in my heart, no matter what they say, you'll be here in my heart, always."
Kaen seemed to start calming down, as his anger was diminishing, and Mina's soothing voice, was reaching him.
"Why can't they understand the way we feel? They just don't trust, what they can't explain. I know we're different but, deep inside us, we're not that different at all. An' you'll be in my heart. Yes you'll be in my heart, from this day on, for now and forever more."
Slowly Kaen's body began diminishing, and reducing itself in size, with the eyes of the bone mask dimming down.
"Don't listen to them, 'cause what do they know? We need each other, to have to hold. They'll see in time, I know. When Destiny calls you, you must be strong. I may not be with you, but you've got to hold on. They'll see in time, I know, we'll show them together 'cause. You'll be in my heart, believe me you'll be in my heart (I'll be there.) From this day on, now and forever more."
Slowly, Mina began removing her hands from the guitar, her gentle touch calming his anger as she placed her hands on the sides of his face, with a soft and gentle look in her eyes, pleading with him to come back to her.
"Ooh, you'll be in my heart. (You'll be here in my heart.) No matter what they say. (I'll be with you.) You'll be in my heart. (I'll be there.) Always. Always… I'll be with you. I'll be there for you always, always and always. Just look over your shoulder. Just look over your shoulder. Just look over your shoulder. I'll be there. Always."
(End Song…)
As she finished with the song, Kaen had returned to normal, and Mina had completely removed the bone mask from his face. Tossing it aside, Mina put her hands back on Kaen's face, and gently pulled him into her embrace. That was all she needed to do, as Kaen began to fall forward, having lost consciousness as his adrenaline rush was gone, and his body was still being affected by the poisoned jelly, despite the transformation having scarred up and partially healed the injury.
Gently going to her knees, Mina sighed as she felt his gentle breathing, and looked up as Natsu brought Eri to her, who jumped from his arms, and ran into Mina's embrace, while hugging them both.
"What are you doing here Mina?" Natsu asked.
"Master Makarov allowed me to come along with Erza to come and get you, when Kaen hadn't returned the other day. You were lucky I did, otherwise who knows what could have happened?" Mina asked.
"Nothing good, that's for sure." Natsu sighed.
"Now, tell me. What's happened so far?" Mina asked.
