Saiyans of Earthland

It was calm in the main hall as Kaen was now lying against the only remaining pillar that was left standing, his body battered and bruised, while breathing heavily as he looked at his arm, hissing in pain as it was broken. His fight with Jose was tougher then he'd thought, and the Phantom Lord Guild Master, had no qualms with taking advantage of Kaen's weakened and injured body. After the beating, Jose had left without ending the Saiyan's life, a malevolent smirk on his face.

"Damn. Guess I should have grabbed a couple Senzu Beans from Mina's stash in the apartments." Kaen coughed.

"Kaen."

The injured Saiyan turned to who had called his name, before he saw Mira, Elfman, Erza, and Grey running to the hall, Mira with the most worried look on her face.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Nevermind that Kaen, are you okay?" Mira questioned as she knelt down beside him, examining any injuries he might have suffered.

"I'm fine, I just need a bit of a breather." Kaen chuckled, before feeling a stinging pain in his ribs. "Damn it." He groaned looking at his side to see the massive bruise.

"That looks like a pretty bad bruise. Might be some internal bleeding." Grey exclaimed.

"Did you feel that rumbling earlier?" Erza asked.

"Whoa is that Aria of the Skies?" Elfman asked seeing the unconscious man in the green attire.

"Yeah. The rumbling must have been the giant falling apart when I beat Aria." Kaen sighed.

"You deflected a shot from the Jupiter Cannon and still fought him?" Elfman asked in shock.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Grey inquired. "You want Eri to cry from both parents being in the hospital?"

"I was thinking that my family needed me." Kaen hissed before he began coughing up a fit.

"It's one thing to go protecting someone, but it's another to drive yourself to the brink of death." Mira stated rubbing Kaen's back as he leaned forward.

Kaen held his stomach coughing, with one hand over his mouth, before he removed it to reveal blood mixed with the mucus.

"Hehe, guess this really does make me All Might when he had his injury after fighting All-for-One." Kaen chuckled leaning back against the pillar.

"Kaen, where did that blood come from?" Grey asked seeing his hand.

"You might have been right Grey, I do have internal bleeding." Kaen stated feeling his eyelids getting heavy.

"Kaen, please stay with us." Mira pleaded trying to keep him awake. "Eri and Mina still need you."

Kaen's eyes continued to close, before they suddenly widened in fear when he felt the returning presence of something dark, and deadly. It was apparent on the others faces that he wasn't the only one feeling it to.

"What is this?" Mira asked.

"I don't like this." Grey stated.

"I'm super manly and it gives me chills." Elfman exclaimed.

"It feels, like death."

"It's Jose." Kaen said.

They all turned to the shadows as Jose emerged from them, finding their reactions to his power, so amusing.

"Bravo. You're all quite keen." Jose stated the dark aura surrounding him intensifying. "Very impressive Fairy Tail Sorcerers. I knew this would be fun. But never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be this entertaining. You annihilated the Jupiter Cannon, disposed of my elite Element4, and you even managed to bring my magic giant to its knees. I knew leaving the battered and injured Saiyan to his own devices after the thrashing I gave him, would pay off."

"Jose." Kaen growled.

"This creep?" Elfman questioned.

"He's Phantom's Master?" Grey asked in disbelief.

"It's like there's a black cloud hanging over him. I feel sick just being near him." Mira exclaimed, covering her mouth in disgust.

"Thank you, you've been so kind to entertain me more then Kaen already has; I simply must return the favor." Jose smirked.

"You ready?" Grey asked.

"You bet." Elfman stated.

"I'll return it in full, this time." Jose said before waving his hand.

"Ice Make: Saucer!" Grey exclaimed.

"Beast Arm:…"

"No, don't do it." Kaen screamed out, but it was too late.

"Iron Bull…" Elfman shouted as he and grey attacked Jose.

"Explosive Wave!" Jose shouted, sending several phantom shaped shadows to his two foes.

The wave of the attack knocked Elfman, and Grey back, before stumbling back, with Erza and Mirajane soon following. Mira had pushed Kaen to the opposite side of the pillar he was sitting against, making him evade the attack before Mira was swept up in the wave of dark magic.

"NO!" Kaen shouted reaching out his arm.

The dust settled to show Mira, Erza, Elfman, and Grey strewn around the place, each of them unconscious, and covered in ruble, and debri.

"I must admit. You do seem quite powerful young man. Behave, and join my guild, or suffer the consequences." Jose smirked. "You cannot win, or would you rather I make an example of your wife and daughter?"

(Que Music… Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: Set it Off)

Kaen was on his knees, his hands on the ground as tears began to soak the stone beneath him. The motionless bodies of his friends laying there covered in dust and debri. Clenching his fists, Kaen slowly rose to his feet, his breathing heavy as his vision turned red, with the ground beneath him shaking as if the building were struck by an earthquake. Slowly raising his arm, Kaen swung it back, green lightning dancing around his arm as he smashed through the pillar he'd used for support. Letting out an angered battle cry of pain and sadness, Kaens aura flared up around him like a pillar of red flames, forcing Jose to hold up his arm against the wind as dust and dirt was picked up by the swirling mass of Saiyan power.

The rising power didn't die down as it increased in size, his hair dancing in the waves as the black of his hair, took on a red tint, and his eyes were pure white, as the Saiyan was consumed with rage.

Jose's eyes squinted in anger, before they widened in surprise as Kaen dispersed the aura around him, and without warning, flew straight at Jose, allowing the rival Guild Master to barely block the punch that was thrown in his direction.

Jose grunted as Kaen's attack forced him to go sliding back. He looked up with a glare, before his eyes widened in shock.

Kaen stood tall and proud, as he clenched his fists, as they looked extremely different. His fists and forearms were covered in scales, with the six fin blades looking as sharp and as long as dagger blade. The sclera of his eyes were jet black, with his pupils shinning blood red, with red shadow trim around his eyes. In the center of his chest, shined the Wukong gem.

'His eyes. Is this the true power of a Saiyan. It's almost enough to take me out, but he's not quite there yet. Though it's still enough to leave the Element4 quacking in their boots with just a glimpse.' Jose thought. 'Guess I shouldn't have pissed him off like I had.'

Before either one could make a move, a loud thundering clap echoed from the floors above them. This didn't seem to phase Kaen, as he just began charging at Jose, the intent for murder etched onto his face. Blocking the attacks, one after the other, Jose kept his eyes on Kaen, only for him to disappear without a trace, before Jose turned around, and held up his arms, blocking the kick that Kaen sent his way. Jose hit the wall, glaring at Kaen as the Saiyan managed to get the drop on him.

'What he lacks in power, he makes up for in resilience, and stealth.' Jose growled sending several attacks of darkness at him. 'Even if he's nothing more then a mindless animal at this point. His potential is frighteningly high.'

Kaen maneuvered his way through the countless darkness attacks, throwing a right hook, and bringing up his knee, only fore Jose to block the knee attack and grab Kaen by the wrist, sending him back to the other side of the hall. Kaen's feet landed on a piece of rubble from the destroyed floor, allowing for the Saiyan to flip backwards and land on the ground behind him.

"Fascinating. You took a shot from Jupiter at full force did you not? Yet you're still standing, and you're only what, sixteen, seventeen, years old?" Jose smiled. "This must be the power of a Saiyan, pushed passed their limits."

"I'm only this strong, because my friends, and my family have filled my heart with strength." Kaen growled his clawed hands enveloped in red Ki, like boxing gloves, while revealing he was slowly taking back control of himself. "I will withstand any pain you throw at me, in order to protect those who give me strength, and protect the ones that I love."

"Powerful, courageous, and quite the lady's man in looks. Destroying your spirit, will bring me unbelievable pleasure." Jose smiled darkly.

"Just try it, old man." Kaen glared.

"It won't take much. Besides, my beautiful creation of phantoms should be finished with tearing down what's left of your puny Guildhall right now." Jose chuckled before the building began to shake, and debri began to fall from the ceiling. "My, what an unruly dragon you have."

"He may be unruly, but he's also an extremely powerful sorcerer." Kaen exclaimed, as he felt his breath quicken, as the adrenaline rush of the False Super Saiyan transformation, was beginning to slowly wear off. "I'm gonna make you pay for what you've done. To Lucy, to Eri, Mina, Team Shadow Gear, and our Guildhall."

"As soon as I'm through with you, the rest of your Guild mates are next."

"Your reign of terror, is over Jose." Kaen shouted running to the Phantom Lord Master, with a both elements of lightning and fire covering his fists. "This ends here and now."

Jose jumped back, evading the Saiyans attack, as he threw his hand in Kaen's direction, conjuring a magic circle under the Saiyans feet, and wrapping the young man in bindings of darkness.

"While I've never been particularly fond of your guild, my distaste for you is not what triggered this war." Jose said choosing to explain everything to the young man as he struggled in his bindings. "We were hired by the patriarch of the Heartfilia Family to find his missing daughter."

"Oh I'm well aware." Kaen groaned as the darkness began to creep all over his skin. "I'm perfectly aware of who she is, and who her father is."

"The child of one of the kingdom's wealthiest men is now in Fairy Tail. So Makarov's trying to buy his way to the top, isn't he?" Jose shouted, intensifying the bindings grasp on him. "Now that your guild has unfettered access to the Heartfilia family fortune, it's only a matter of time before that happens. That is, if we don't completely wipe you out first." Jose said, repeating the intensity increase.

"Ha. Ha-ha. Hahahahaha." Kaen smiled, laughing at Jose.

"What's so funny, has the pain finally driven you mad?" Jose questioned.

"It's hilarious, extremely hilarious, at how concerned you are about something as silly and unimportant as your guild's ranking, but I'm even more amused about how incredibly stupid and arrogant you are about Lucy and her relationship with her father, before this war began. Or maybe it's both your stupidity and arrogance that's blinding you from the truth. The Master isn't planning on buying his way to the top, mainly because Fairy Tail's already at the top, and because Lucy doesn't have any access to her family's vast fortune, she's just as broke as anyone else."

"What?" Jose questioned in anger.

"She came to Fairy Tail as a runaway, and joined the same day I joined. She doesn't have any access to her family's fortune. She struggles to pay rent at her home for 70,000 jewel a month, she works hard to make a living. She fights alongside us; she laughs with us, she cries with us, she's no different than any other member of Fairy Tail, and she's why we're at war. She may be the daughter of the rich Heartfilia family, I don't even give a fuck about who they are, but just as flowers don't get to choose where they bloom, or rain doesn't get to choose where it falls, children don't get to choose their parents. You don't know anything about her, or the tears she has shed from the pain this war has caused." Kaen shouted, pushing against Jose's bindings.

"Well I'll find out soon enough." Jose smirked tightening his bindings. "I'm not going to be handing her over to her father without reaping a benefit of some sort."

"You wouldn't." Kaen growled, fearing he knew where Jose was going with this.

"I'll make her my prisoner, until her father meets my demands. I'm going to bleed the Heartfilia family of their fortune and their precious money making business." Jose smiled evilly.

"Damn you, you vile horrid, VILLAIN." Kaen shouted pressing his arms out, weakening the bindings, before he broke free of them with a burst of power.

"What?" Jose questioned, before Kaen grabbed him by the throat, and with his flying technique, flew around the destroyed and emptied hall, while grinding the back of Jose's head into the ground.

Pulling Jose away, Kaen threw the Guild Master to the ground, his teeth grit in complete anger. Flying straight at Jose again, Kaen was grabbed in another binding spell, as the dust cleared to show Jose was beyond pissed with his sclera having turned black, and his pupils having turned gold.

"I wouldn't keep struggling if I were you, it's only going to make this more painful." Jose smirked as two shadowy skeletons appeared from a magic circle he produced. "Since you won't willingly surrender yourself to be Phantom Lord's ultimate weapon, you can burn in hell with the rest of your guild."

Kaen pressed against his bindings until he felt his very essence being sucked out of him by the death magic Jose was wielding.

"You're not feeling very well, are you my boy?" Jose asked. "You're going to have to buck-up because it's almost time. I want you, to make an appearance before your peers. Once they see their beloved Kaen, in such a pitiful state, they're sure to surrender to us."

"You're a despicable monster." Kaen shouted.

Kaen looked out the corner of his eye, and saw Mirajane, Elfman, Grey, and Erza were all still lying on the ground, still unconscious as their injuries and previous battles left them weakened beyond anything he could do in his current predicament.

"Now, now, insulting me like that isn't going to help your situation." Jose exclaimed before turning up the juice.

Kaen screamed out in pain as Jose continued his attack.

'I'd rather die than cause my guild mates to surrender.' Kaen mentally exclaimed before noticing the blades of his gauntlets were around his collar bones. 'I leave the rest up to you. Mina, Eri, I'm sorry. Please forgive me.'

As Kaen was about to slit his throat, the clouds above the guildhalls began to swirl as thunder cracked through the air, before a shining light stopped everything, causing his vision to become blurred, before his arms were forced to his sides, as his bindings of darkness were destroyed by the light, and his transformation was completely undone.

(End Song…)

Kaen opened his eyes and turned around, as Jose looked up to see Makarov floating down from the sky onto a pile of stone rubble, with a displeased look on his face.

"You have shed the blood of our children, and that is unforgivable!" Makarov exclaimed his voice matching his expression. "They have been made to suffer because of the incompetence of their parents. We are both to blame Jose. This war between us, has gone on long enough. Let's end this here and now."

"Master." Kaen smiled wiping tears from his eyes.

Jose closed his eyes, before opening them again, revealing the black sclera and gold irises had intensified.

"If we fight it could create a catastrophe." Jose exclaimed as the ground around him began to shake.

Makarov glared at Jose, the veins on his forehead bulging. He raised his index finger on his left hand, a ball of light forming as the ground around him began to shake as well.

"In order to save my guild, I will gladly take that risk!" Makarov exclaimed.

Grey, Elfman, Mira, and Erza woke up, feeling a warm light that reminded them of their master. Just as they picked themselves up, Makarov and Jose lunged at one another, their spells, butting heads.

"You children need to get out of here now." Makarov shouted.

"But master, we can't just leave you here." Grey shouted.

"No, we have to do as he says, otherwise it'll be pointless, and we'll just get in his way." Kaen exclaimed.

"Mira, can you stand?" Elfman asked.

"I can." Mira stated. "Kaen, are you okay? You were coughing up blood."

"I'm fine Mira. I think seeing you all injured and barely conscious triggered something in me, I didn't even know I could do." Kaen explained as Jose and Makarov separated. "We have to leave now."

"Well, well now that you're here, I no longer have any interest in those children of yours. I'll exterminate those pests after I've finished you off." Jose exclaimed as the five of them made their exit.

"It's been six years since we last came face to face." Jose smiled. "Then Phantom Lord was Number One, and no one knew how large Fairy Tail would become. Ha-ha-ha, but now it's been reduced to rubble."

"Our guild hall may have been destroyed, but we're strong as ever." Makarov shouted, drawing a constellation with his magic. "Because Fairy Tail isn't a place, it's the people who fill the halls."

"I must admit, I'm looking forward to this, although it's frowned upon by the council, I can't wait to see who's the superior Wizard Saint." Jose stated as both Guild Masters magic began to flare up.

"I couldn't have done this without you my children. Bless you all, be proud that you are members of Fairy Tail." Makarov shouted, as lightning cracked through the air.

Jose and Makarov went at it head long into the fray, fighting each other for what seemed like countless hours, when it wasn't even a fraction of that time, sending their strongest spells at one another, repeatedly before they stopped, having hardly broken a sweat.

"I'm impressed." Makarov stated. "You have so much power at your command. I can see why the council named you one of the Ten Wizard Saints. However you're misusing that power for your own personal gain. You could have become a role model for the younger generation. Instead you become a lesson in what not to do."

"What is this, a lecture?" Jose asked.

"I've a rule that seems to work well with my Fairy Tail kids. Kaen doesn't know it yet, but he will soon enough. Perhaps he uses it with his own daughter." Makarov exclaimed. "I'll give you to the count of three to do exactly as I say."

Jose's smile became a frown as he was not liking what Makarov was saying, thinking himself superior to all who opposed him.

"Kneel to me." Makarov stated.

"What?" Jose asked.

"One." Makarov counted.

"So you want me to concede and kneel before you. No way in hell." Jose shouted.

"Two." Makarov continued as he began his spell, bringing his hands together, with a foot's length apart, his left hand pointed towards the sky, and his right hand pointed to the ground, as light began to form in the center, Makarov's eyes going blank.

"Why would the master of this guild in this kingdom ever stoop so low as to kneel before you?" Jose questioned preparing his own spell. "Technically we are equally powerful, but my ability to be heartless makes me even stronger."

"Three." Makarov finished, his hands switching positions.

"You are the one who should be kneeling before me." Jose shouted. "Now, you and your precious Fairy Tail children are going to die."

"Times up." Makarov stated before clapping his hands together as if he were praying.

A blinding light enveloped Makarov and the surrounding area, before the entire castle/robot was no longer visible, enveloped within a dome of holy light.

"Fairy Law!" Makarov shouted.

It wasn't long before the light began to die down, and Makarov stood on the rubble, with a cowering Jose shaking in front of him, his hairs all white and his clothes and skin looked like they were bleached.

"You will never bother Fairy Tail again, understand?" Makarov questioned. "I'm sure the magic council will be watching us after all the chaos we've caused. You better be on your best behavior from now on. I know I will." He sighed as he turned to leave.

'Our master has fallen, how sad.' Aria mentally monologued reappearing from nowhere, and insane smile on his face. 'The old man's left himself open again. This is my chance.'

Before Aria could perform the Drain Spell once more, Kaen came out of nowhere and slammed both his feet into his face, knocking Aria over and out cold.

"I appreciate your help Kaen, but I will be punishing you for disobeying my orders." Makarov exclaimed, not turning around.

"I had actually left. I just returned, because I had a bad feeling about something." Kaen explained. "I thought I'd taken care of Aria for good, guess I was wrong."

"Is that so? Then I guess you're free from punishment. I could have handled Aria on my own though." Makarov chuckled.

"I owed you for taking his attack for me the other day. For that I am truly grateful to you, Master." Kaen smiled.

Makarov smiled at the boy's sense of honor, before turning his attention to any Phantom Lord members in the area.

"The war is over, there's no reason for us to fight anymore. But if you push me to the point of anger, I'll wipe out your entire guild without hesitation. Now you kids get out of here, and take Jose with you." Makarov said, suddenly sounding like someone's nice grandpa.

Back with the rest of the Fairy Tail members, everyone was cheering on as they were victorious in the war against their rival guild.

"We are victorious, but I had very little to do with it." Makarov shouted as he and Kaen stood on a ledge of Phantoms broken and destroyed guildhall. "This victory is yours my children."

Kaens feet left the surface of the ledge, as he grabbed the Masters hands, before flying back to the Cliffside of the guildhall. Everyone gathered to the front of the demolished building, giving Makarov a moment to himself.

"It's in ruins." Makarov sighed. "They really did a number on it huh?"

"Master I…" Lucy said walking up through the group, Eri with her before the child ran to Kaen, with the Saiyan pulling her into his embrace. "I'm so sorry."

"Hmm?" Makarov inquired turning around. "Ah, child you've been through a lot lately, but don't let it get you down."

"Yeah let's see a smile Lucy." A familiar voice said.

Lucy and Kaen looked up in surprise before turning to see Team Shadow Gear, as well as Mina, covered in bandages and a sling and cast. Reedus was behind them, looking ashamed that he couldn't keep Lucy or Eri safe.

"Mama." Eri cried, running to Mina.

"Levy, you're all right." Lucy exclaimed.

"Yep we're back. We beat Phantom so there's no reason for you to be sad." Levy smiled with a wink.

"Sure they might have destroyed our guildhall." Droy smiled.

"But we're going to rebuild it even bigger and better." Jet smirked.

"Oui." Reedus said, still sounding disappointed.

"Mina." Kaen said, pulling his wife in for a hug. "I thought I'd lost you for good." He cried, tears running down his cheeks.

"You won't be able to get rid of me that easily Hun." Mina smiled, sinking into the embrace, with Eri in both their arms.

"But still." Lucy began. "It was all my fault, all of this, the guildhall, everyone getting hurt, everything."

"We heard about your secret." Mina said. "It was quite the shocker. I was especially stunned when I found out Kaen already knew who you were."

"But there's not a single person in the guild who thinks you're to blame." Levy smiled.

"She's right. In fact I owe you an apology." Reedus said. "You as well Kaen, I was supposed to keep both Lucy and Eri safe, and I failed."

"Lucy." Makarov began. "Though we may not be able to share our feelings of happiness and sadness entirely, we do share them to some extent. That's what happens in a guild. One person's happiness becomes everyone's happiness. One person's anger becomes everyone's anger, and one person's tears, become everyone's tears. There's no reason for you to feel guilty, so don't cry, you should already know how much everyone here cares about you. Hold your head high my children, because the two of you are proud members of the Fairy Tail family."

Lucy and Eri couldn't hold it in as they began to cry. All the stress, anxiety, and anger of the past few days, finally catching up to them. It was quite impressive Eri had lasted this long, but it seemed more natural for her to have this sort of reaction.

Kaen smiled softly, before Mina pulled him in for a hug, knowing he still felt guilty for not being able to help them when they were attacked. Kaen chuckled and leaned into the embrace, accepting he didn't have any control over the situation, and accepting his limitations.

"While I'm glad everything's worked out, I am worried about the council. They'll be furious I'm sure. I hate to think it, but I might even be looking at, prison time." Makarov said before he started crying.

"Master?" Erza questioned as she was confused as to why he was crying.

"Well, I'm at least glad everything is back to normal." Elfman chuckled.

~A week later~

The sounds of construction crews were resonating through the town as all the members of Fairy Tail were pitching in on rebuilding the guildhall. Laki was creating different wooden statues for the center piece of the guild with her Wood Maker Magic, while Macao was judging them. The problem was, all the statues she made were of her lusts, kinks, and desires in a man.

"Okay, time for a break everyone." Mira called holding a tray of drinks, while Mina was holding an entire table sized tray over her head, while Eri held a tray with a pitcher of lemonade on it.

Mira wore her signature dress, with a bright smile on her face, while Mina wore a pair of black skinny jeans, with square heeled sandals, gold trimmed black stretchy fabric based elbow guards, and a white leather vest connected to a black trimmed gold breast band, making her chest pop.

"Look at her, that's incredible." Wakaba stated.

"I'm jealous, of Kaen." Macao said. "I wish I had a woman like Mina in my life."

"So, when are we gonna be able to start posting jobs again?" Mina asked. "Kaen's getting antsy just sitting at home, bed ridden."

"Not for a while I'm afraid." Mira said. "How is he doing anyway?"

"Like I said, he's antsy." Mina sighed. "It's almost like he wants to worsen his condition. Not even a Senzu Bean can fix the damage Jose's magic did to him."

"Papa doesn't know when to relax." Eri added, as they put the food down.

"So, Master still not back yet?" Mina asked.

"I'm afraid not." Mira sighed.

Master Makarov was called to the council for court clarification on the report they were given on who started the battle. In the end, Fairy Tail was deemed innocent and Phantom Lord was denounced as a Dark Guild for starting the war, and had been disbanded. For instigating the war, and endangering the life of a child, Jose was arrested and thrown in jail, with little to no chance of parole.

~Elsewhere~

Kaen was making his way down the cobblestone street, holding a rose as he went to visit one of his Guild mates. Lucy has yet to show herself to the rest of the guild since the Rune Knights finished the interrogation, and since he was banned from helping with rebuilding the Guild until Porlyusica gave him, the okay, he thought a visit from him, might cheer her up. To his surprise, he caught her walking down the stairs of her apartment complex.

"Lucy." Kaen said, sounding shocked.

"Oh hey Kaen, what you up to, and who's the rose for?" Lucy asked stopping to greet him.

"I came by to see how you were doing. The rose is for you since I thought you might like it." Kaen explained giving it to her. "From my experience with Mina, flowers tend to make upset women feel better. I'd have brought chocolates, but I thought that'd be too much like flirting."

"Oh, thank you." Lucy said as she took the rose, before there was an awkward moment of silence. "Um, would you mind coming with me for something? There's something I need to take care of, regarding this whole mess. I could really use the support."

"Sure, I'll help in any way I can." Kaen smiled. "I just gotta let Mina and Eri know I'll be gone for a bit."

"Perfect. Because I'm needing you to come with me to confront my father." Lucy stated.

"No problem." Kaen said.

~Heartfilia Estate~

"Man you have a big home." Kaen whistled.

"Most people think this is a town." Lucy chuckled.

"Well I figured you'd need somewhere for your staff to live." Kaen said. "Plus, I've been here before."

"Ms. Supetto!" Lucy called out, recognizing an old friendly face.

"Miss Lucy you've come back to us…" The entire staff shouted appearing from nowhere.

"Whoa, do they all hide in the bushes all day or what?" Kaen questioned.

"Welcome back miss, I hope you're ready to start hitting the books again." Her teacher asked.

"Look at you, all grown up. Who is this?" The chef asked looking at Kaen. "Oh, Mr. Yagi, a pleasure to see you again."

"Likewise." Kaen said.

The friendly reunion continued on, before it was interrupted as a servant came out to the courtyard.

"Miss Lucy, the master requests both your presence in the study." One servant called.

"How do you like that, his runaway daughter finally returns home, and he doesn't have the gull to come out himself and greet her." Kaen groaned.

"I see he hasn't changed at all." Lucy scoffs.

~Later~

Lucy stood in front of a full length mirror, in one of her old dresses, as Kaen was dressed in a suit the family tailors whipped together with their sewing magic. The Fairy Tail emblem on his forearm covered by the sleeves of his shirt.

"Do I really have to wear this monkey suit?" Kaen asked messing with the collar. "I mean it's nice and all, but it's hard to breath in."

"Yes, we're wanting to make a good impression on my father, before we burn him."

"Something tells me Natsu would take that the wrong way." Kaen stated, imagining Natsu hitting Mr. Heartfilia with a breath attack.

"You're probably right." Lucy laughed as they reached the doors to his study. "Excuse me father? It's Lucy and Kaen. May we come in?"

"Yes, you may." A voice came from the other side of the doors. "You ran away without even saying a word to me. How could you?"

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left without speaking to you." Lucy said, Kaen standing a few feet behind her. "It was a poor decision on my part. One I now deeply regret."

"Kaen, I do appreciate you taking the time, to escort my runaway daughter back home. I have a reward waiting for you, before you leave." Mr. Heartfilia said, looking to Kaen.

"We need to have a talk before all that." Kaen stated.

"Very well." Jude Heartfilia said, before directing his attention back to Lucy. "I'm glad you finally came to your senses and left that guild. A lady of your status shouldn't be affiliated with those ruffians. I certainly wasn't looking forward to wasting any more of my money to have it eradicated."

Even with not being able to see him, Lucy was able to tell Kaen's patience was wearing thin, especially with what her father had just said.

"You forced me to go to extremes, Lucy. If you hadn't acted so selfishly, I wouldn't have had to lash out at your guild." He said, as if he did nothing wrong. "I have arranged for you to marry Duke Sawarr, the Junelle heir."

"Yes. I suspected that might be the case." Lucy stated.

"Hmm. Try to think of this as an investment in your future. Once you're married we'll have access to the Junelle's vast land in the south, which will allow us to expand the Heartfilia railway, and bring in millions." Jude said, turning to the window.

"I see." Lucy stated with a hint of venom in her voice.

"I expect you to give birth to a baby boy. We need a Heartfilia heir. That is all for now, you may return to your room, while I have a talk with Mr. Yagi." Mr. Heartfilia said.

"Jude, I think we should have that talk now." Kaen hissed. "From one father, to another."

"If you insist." Jude said. "Lucy, return to your room and…"

"Lucy stays." Kaen said. "Look Jude, you may think that what you did, was best for Lucy, forcing her to come back here without letting her choose to make that decision for herself, but she's a grown woman, capable of making her own decisions now."

"I see your point of view Kaen, but this is a matter between me, and my daughters future." Jude stated.

"While your selfishness, nearly got mine killed." Kaen hissed, tearing the sleeve of his suit, revealing the Fairy Tail Emblem on his forearm. "I, am a member of Fairy Tail. As is my wife, and daughter. When you hired Phantom Lord to eradicate Fairy Tail, you nearly got several members killed. Right now, I'm here as someone who has a bone to pick with you, about the extremes you went to, just so you could regain the control, you thought you had over Lucy's life."

"What are you saying boy?" Jude questioned.

"All Lucy wanted was to feel accepted, all she wanted was to feel cared for, like she was part of a family. Something you never did for her." Kaen stated. "If you had been more like a father, instead of a business man, she wouldn't have had to run away. I just got reunited with my daughter, after six months of being separated from her, and your selfishness, nearly got her, and my wife killed, when Phantom Lord attacked Fairy Tail."

"I am the only one, who knows what's best for my daughter." Jude stated. "She will obey me as I am her father, and she will follow the path I have set out for her."

"I'm sorry father, but that's not going to happen!" Lucy exclaimed.

Jude Heartfilia turned to his daughter and looked at her with a look of irritation.

"I didn't come here to make amends, and Kaen didn't escort me home. I came here to say my final goodbyes, and Kaen's here to support me." Lucy stated firmly. "I realize it was wrong of me to just leave without saying anything. It's a decision I've regretted every single day, and so I've come back to tell you exactly how I feel, before I leave for good."

"Lucy…" Jude scoffs in an agitated tone.

"All the money in the world can't buy you happiness. I figured that out when I was a child. Finally I'm truly happy, and I'm not gonna let you ruin it for me, you hear? I'm warning you. You'd better not mess with Fairy Tail ever again." Lucy shouted before ripping her dress, as a show of defiance. "It doesn't matter that you're my father. If you threaten us, we will crush you just like any other enemy. It didn't have to be this way Jude, you and I could have sat down together and talked things out. But instead you threatened me and the lives of everyone I care for. You even paid Fairy Tail's worst enemy, to try and eradicate us. Now I can't even trust you. I don't need fancy dresses, a big house, or lots of money to be happy, like Kaen said, all I wanted was to be accepted for who I am. I'm no longer Lucky Lucy Heartfilia, I'm Lucy of Fairy Tail."

Jude was taken by this and marched over to her, preparing to slap her. When he was about to strike a firm, heated hand grabbed his arm, the heat rising ever quickly.

"You don't wanna do that Jude." Kaen growled. "You're already in hot water with the Rune Knights, since I told them what Jose told me, about you hiring Phantom Lord to eradicate Fairy Tail. But I feel I should let you know, don't go slapping people just because they tell you off. If this is how Lucy feels, then you don't have any say in it. She's a legal adult, and you can't control her. Her life, is hers to live."

"Goodbye Jude. Live long, and I hope you can find happiness." Lucy said, turning to leave, with Kaen following her, while leaving Jude, utterly stunned.

~Later~

Kaen and Lucy stood outside, in their normal clothes they had arrived in, facing the grave of Lucy's mother, as Lucy held the rose Kaen gave her.

"This is it Kaen, my mother's grave." Lucy said softly.

Kaen stepped up and held out his hand. Twisting his wrist forward, Kaen produced another rose from out of nowhere, before placing it on the pedestal of the tombstone.

"Where'd that rose come from?" Lucy asked.

"A little slight of hand." Kaen chuckled. "It was something I learned to do, for entertaining Eri back on the planet I grew up on."

"Hey, Lucy, Kaen!"

"Papa!"

The two of them turned around to see Natsu, Grey, Happy, Mina, Eri, and Erza running towards them. Natsu was the one who called out their names, while Eri called out for Kaen.

"Why'd you guy's run off?" Grey asked as they met half way.

"Lucy, I'm so glad you're not gone." Happy cried flying into her chest.

"I'm sorry guy's I didn't meant to worry you." Lucy said.

"Why the hell would you leave on a trip with Lucy to this place?" Mina asked. "You're not cheating on me with her, are you?"

"No, she asked me to come as emotional and moral support." Kaen said. "There was just some stuff we had to take care of with Jude Heartfilia. "But Lucy is staying with us for good."
