Lincoln learned more about his ability even some things he didn't, but as he looked around he understood what this hell was, the scholars were all blinded she realized. "You're not human." He said launching a fireball into Haiku's face which melted off and revealed a canine-like beast under it. "It didn't make sense why you're the only one here who isn't a faceless man."Lincoln showed a book on greek mythology. "I'm guessing you're spots, cerberus?" Haiku turned into a three-headed Dalmatian and attempted to devour Lincoln. "Enough." Man in black robes appeared and the dog was swatted away turning into a puppy. "well done so you're the mortal invading my realm." Lincoln chuckled pointed his index finger. "You wish to escape the underworld." He stood over him. "You almost destroyed the pillar of this region." Lincolns looked perplexed.
"Wait, Region?" Hades chuckled. "Yes I am the lord of this and other regions as the fallen cherub ruled the realm you arrived in was the closest to mortal realm." Lincoln looked shocked, even disgusted. "Tell me how I can get back home?" Hades walked around Lincoln. "Reach the deepest core of hell and speak with evil itself as with him you have made this deal." Lincoln looked confused. "Wait what?" Hades sighed. "ying yang, evil is close to good and good is close to evil and balance." Lincoln looked annoyed. "listen you need reach the paradises before you and return to earth." Lincoln sighed frustrated. "No I need to fight hell and heaven to get back home?" He nodded. "yes, don't get tricked by another one of those fallen angels, they want to destroy this realm and cause imbalance the universe to use the power vacuums formed to rule." Lincoln nodded if he understood. "Go to Tartarus, as it's the deepest part of my realm, take whatever spells you need hecate won't notice."
Lucy panicked and went through her grimoire and every demonology book. "I need get my brother back!" She read a book that told a of method of summoning a soul from hell and ran down to Lincoln's room and found, It was a store room. She ran to lori. "WHere is Lincoln's stuff?" Lori looked confused. "Who's lincoln?" Lucy looked panicked though her sister couldn't tell as her eyes hidden and she ran into Lisa's room and found the disgusting sample's the genius of the family. "Lynn, Lucy-" She froze realizing that Lincoln was gone from this world and the proof was the fact after her sample was Luan. "No, no, no, no, no!" She said and ran back to the attic and found the grimoire that she used to summon the demon and looked over the clauses. "none but the summer will recall the bargain.
She met with Bertrand to ask if he knew what happened. "Hmm, the spell is a fluke." Lucy spoke with an aggravated voice. "Then where is my brother?" Bertrand looked perplexed. "I didn't know you had a brother." Lucy stormed off to research further. The only thing she found was the author had jumped out of a sixth floor window while on fire. "That overkill is awesome." then returned to the author's life, rich, wealthy and had the skeleton of Lovecraft's cat. The man lived Lucy's dream life and the she read further before his death he had gone insane, demanding to see her daughters photo's commissioning hundreds of artists to make a portrait of some girl who didn't exist.
But Lucy knew better, so he and she committed the same mistake. But why did it work for her and not for Bertrand?! She threw the book and caught on fire after stomping the fire out the cover had changed, Instead saying "art of Summoning" it said, "opening the gates of the underworld." She almost ripped the cover when she opened the book, she said that in the margins there she had a better understanding of the cursed book. "The Bargain will only be done with someone they truly love. Romantic, platonically or familial." There she realized it. That's why it worked for her and the author. It still didn't explain how to return the person sacrificed.
Lucy decided to hide in the storage room as the family called Lincoln's old room. She was crying she missed her brother, none of her sisters could replace her caring, loving brother. Leni was the closest but it didn't feel right!
As days passed Lucy completely became a ghost. She still continued to write poetry but they became grimmer and grimmer with each passing day. Her voice became hoarse and she got into more arguments with Lynn more often. "Get your socks away from my side." She growled. "Don't be like that misses moody." Lucy just picked it up and threw it at Lynn's face.
Which led to Lori and Leni Pulling them apart. "She started it!" Lucy had a bruise but just left the room and sat in the Storage room and questioned why she had to be the only one who remembered him?! "Lucy dear, are you alright?" Rita asked and Lucy didn't answer and simply jumped into the vents to move back into the attic.
"Why did Mom have to make Lincoln play peewee football?" She asked their as she searched the boxes for anything, there was nothing it was if Lincoln never exis— "NO!" She panted and pulled out a blank book and started drawing him, she couldn't forget him, no never!
Lucy spent the next year in this state between madness and sadness, she won an award for her poetry. Started doing cave exploring trips with the morticians club Boris showed off his impressive climbing skills. Still Lucy kept drawing in her Lincoln journal, describing him and trying her best not to forget him.
One day while attempting another method of getting her brother back She heard voices. "Lucy!" She spun around shocked. "Lincoln?" She asked with a ember of hope. "Yea it's me sis, it's been 20 years?" Lucy was confused. "What? No, it's been only one year." Lincoln chuckled. "Just pulling your leg, Yea but time here is fluid, kinda weird honestly." Lucy was tearing up, she wiped them away. "Don't give me a heart attack." Lincoln chuckled. "Sorry, I haven't figured out how to get back, only now I released Lucifer or some demon. It was a mess, I can't get home yet, good thing most of hell is just a never ending plain. I learned how to use magic even if it's just turning my flesh into other things." Lucy smiled. It was good to hear his voice. "I missed you so much. No one else carries." Lincoln spoke sympathetically. "They're just mourning in their own way Lucy."
"sigh, no one remembers you in the literal sense, everything about you is gone. Your room is a Storage closet, none of our sisters remember you and I'm worried I will forget how you look." Lincoln wished he could hug her, tell her everything would be back to normal but, he standing at the edge of a cliff, he turned around and pushed the corpse of the furies down the cliff. "I will come back I promise." Lucy cried in the attic, as her hope was reaffirmed.
Lincoln however was on a battlefield with hundreds of bloodthirsty warriors. "DIE!" One yelled before getting his head chopped off, by Lincoln turning his scythe blade. "Hope dad didn't forget my favorite." A gigantic mass of flesh formed from the defeated warriors. He took out a grimoire and spoke the spell, in Ancient Greek as a roots erupted and dragged it deeper into hell. "I hope I can finally find a friend down." He continued to walk, doing his best to be optimistic.
