Mama Yang

"I wonder what Professor Ozpin wanted to talk to us about." Ruby said, as she and the rest of Team RWBY, as well as Team KC, made their way into the elevator of Beacon Tower. "It hasn't even been half a day since we were named as a team."

"Probably to congratulate us for handling ourselves when that Lobo guy attacked." Yang said.

"If that's the case, then why isn't Nora or Team JNPR with us?" Clark asked.

"He makes a valid point." Blake said.

"Mama's just happy, I don't need crutches or a wheelchair." Anya said, her arm in a sling.

"We're lucky the worst that had happened to you was a broken arm, and a minor concussion, sweetie." Yang said. "Anything more and I don't know if I could have lived with myself, knowing you got hurt in our battle."

"It's my fault. I was the one who said she had to stay behind." Clark sighed.

"Don't think like that." Blake said. "You were the only one who had first hand experience fighting Lobo. So you made the call that saved all of us from death."

"She's right." Yang said. "Anya getting hurt isn't on you. It was Lobo's fault, no one else."

"We're here." Anya said, as the elevator dinged, and the door opened up to reveal four people inside, three of which were familiar to all of them.

"Professor Ozpin, Professor Goodwitch, Professor Fullbuster." Ruby greeted as they stepped out, before she turned to the fourth. "I'm sorry, but I do not believe we've met."

"Not to worry kid, you and your sister have met me before. You just wouldn't remember since you were so little." The man said with a smile.

The man standing in front of them was a rather tall man, with long spiked black hair, two piercings going through the bridge of his nose, and six where both his eyebrows should be. His arms also had about four piercings each, with the metal going straight through his arms, and most likely went through the space between his radius and ulna on both arms, completely visible through the scales covering his forearms like bracers. On his cheeks he had four steel silver scales, and had cartilage spikes in his ears.

"Allow me to introduce you all to an associate of mine." Professor Ozpin said. "This is Gajeel Redfox, or as he prefers to be called, Blacksteel. He is a Dragon Faunus, just like Ms. Anya."

"Speaking of, she's been hiding behind me since she caught sight of you Professor Fullbuster." Clark said, looking behind him to see Anya hiding there. He didn't like that she was shaking like a leaf either. "Do you know why that would be?"

"The hell did you do to the kid Grey?" Gajeel asked. "You didn't strip in front of her, did you?"

"Hey! I didn't do anything that would have upset her this much Metal Head." Grey stated.

"Then where are your clothes?" Gajeel asked.

Grey looked down at himself, then to the students to see all the girls, aside from Yang who just looked annoyed, blushing at the sight of him in his underwear, before he panicked and pulled his clothes back on.

"Come on, why can't I shake this habit?" Grey questioned.

"Ignore what he does. Had to train in the snowy mountains in his underwear as a kid, and it became a habit he can't shake to strip every five minutes." Gajeel smirked with a laugh.

"You shut it Tin Man." Grey growled.

"What the hell kind of perverted teacher would use striping down to your underwear in the snow as a training method?" Weiss asked.

"Anyways, I asked you here because I wanted to give Mrs. Xiao Long, this." Ozpin said, as Ms. Goodwitch came forward and gave her a leather bound book, with a small package on top. "The package is an apology from General Ironwood, for what his subordinate had done on Patch two weeks ago."

"It'd better be something damn good." Yang said, accepting the book and package. "But what's with the book."

"It was Salamanders journal. He was also known as Natsu Dragneel." Gajeel said. "But more then that, it's everything, anyone needs to know about Dragon Faunus. Including a particularly nasty one, who's more of a monster, then any Grimm you'll encounter."

"Or he would be, if Natsu hadn't killed him seven years ago." Grey stated. "Point is, all members of both your teams should familiarize yourselves with this journals contents. It could be helpful in the future."

"Hey, that emblem." Ruby pointed out. "It looks just like the one tattooed on Anya's back, but solid."

"Grey?" Ozpin asked, raising a brow to him.

"What?" Grey asked.

"What did you do ice pop?" Gajeel asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Grey said.

"You obviously did something if Anya has the Fairy Tail emblem tattooed on her back, and she's frightened of you." Gajeel stated, turning to look at him directly. "Now spill. What did, you, do?"

"Fine alright, fine. Just stop looking at me with those murderous eyes. I had to mark her with a tracking spell somehow. An' it was either the tattoo, or branding her with fourth degree frostbite caused by my cursed ice." Grey said. "I went with the lesser of the two evils."

"So that's why she's scared of you." Clark said.

"Hold up, did you just say spell?" Weiss asked.

"He did indeed Heiress." Gajeel said, crossing his arms, and turning back to the teams. "It's a long story, but the truth is that magic is real, and we're both living proof of that."

"The world you know, isn't as clear as it may seem." Grey stated. "Natsu, was a Fire Dragon Faunus, and his magic was one meant for killing fire dragons."

"Just like mine." Gajeel said, turning his hand into a blade. "Salamander was a Fire Dragonslayer, while I'm an Iron/Metal Dragonslayer."

"Everything you'll need to know about Dragonslayers, is in Natsu's journal." Grey said. "While Anya, though hasn't fully unlocked her true potential yet, is an Etherion Dragonslayer just like her father, meaning she'll one day be able to use all elements."

"As was said, you'll have to familiarize yourselves with the contents of Natsu's journal." Ozpin said. "As for your combat lessons, you'll be training directly under Professors Fullbuster and Blacksteel, while you'll be taking normal lessons with the other students."

"So, we're getting special treatment, because we have a Dragon Faunus on the team?" Weiss asked.

"This isn't special treatment. This is more a cautionary measure, as Dragon Faunus, tend to be unpredictable with their emotions when in combat." Glynda said. "Especially when they're children, I'm told."

"Why us though?" Jessica asked.

"Because I believe, there's more to the both of you, then meets the eye." Ozpin said.

"Right." Clark said skeptically. "Well, we appreciate the heads up, and the extra lessons. So if you don't mind, we'll be on our way."

"Before you go, I'm currently in the process of locating two more teammates for your team. I'm reviewing a few late entry applicants, and the two I choose should be fairly promising candidates for your team. I'll be sure to bring them in on this as well, once they've situated themselves, after going through their orientation." Ozpin explained.

"Meaning you'll be on a four person team, like you're supposed to be." Glynda added.

"Sounds like it could be interesting." Jessica said.

"With that said, you can go now. Have a good day children." Ozpin stated.

As the students turned to leave, Gajeel's eyes squinted as he spotted something creeping up the side of Anya's neck like thorny vines, before the elevator closed on them.

"Something wrong, Gajeel?" Grey asked.

"Is Shion still lurking around campus?" Gajeel inquired.

"They are, why?" Ozpin asked, concern evident in his voice.

"I get the feeling we may need them, sooner rather then later." The Metal Dragonslayer sighed.

~The Following Day~

"Wake up call." Clark said, knocking on a dorm door. "Yang, you have to get up. It's almost time for classes. The rest of your team's already up and rearing to go."

"Mama's not here." Anya said, opening the door. "She went to go over Natsu's journal with the rest of Team RWBY, since it's still a couple days before classes actually start."

"It's… what?" Clark asked, before pulling out his Scroll, realizing she was right. "An' here I was scolding Jessica for not getting ready in time." He sighed.

"It's okay." Anya said, grabbing his hand. "Come on in. I'm bored just being here by myself."

"Your mother didn't leave anyone here to watch you?" Clark asked, following her in.

"She couldn't. Nora and the rest of JNPR are doing some training and team bonding before school starts." Anya stated. "So I've just been sitting in here, watching cartoons."

"An' drawing up schematics it looks like." Clark said, spotting blue print pages scattered on the desk and floor. "These though…"

"I'm not ambidextrous." Anya said. "So it's kinda hard for me to draw with my left hand."

"I can tell." Clark chuckled. "What is it you're wanting to make here, anyway?"

"I'm wanting to make my own weapon." Anya said. "Aunt Ruby and Mom both made theirs, and I wanna be able to fight to."

"You wanna be a Huntress huh?" Clark asked.

"But before I can do that, I have to make amends with everyone I've hurt." Anya said, sitting on her bed.

"What do you mean? Who did you hurt?" Clark asked.

"I caused, a lot of destruction throughout the Kingdoms. I was the cause of so many Grimm invasions in a lot of the smaller settlements, all because the Grimm were attracted by my fear and anxiety." Anya said. "I want to be able to make things right with those settlements, before I can even think about becoming a Huntress."

Clark looked at Anya and the guilt she had on her face, before he smiled warmly, admiring how Anya felt bad, even if it was for something that wasn't her fault.

"You know, I can tell you for certain that those settlements are doing just fine." Clark said.

"They are?"

"Yes they are. Small settlements like those, go through Grimm invasions regularly, so what happened, wasn't out of the ordinary for them." Clark stated. "C'mon, I'll help you with making a proper design for your weapon."

"You're not just saying that to make me feel better about what I did?" Anya asked.

"Anya, what happened wasn't even your fault. Grimm are attracted by fear. So if anyone's to blame, it's those who caused you fear." Clark smiled. "C'mon, I'll do the drawing."

~Later~

"Mmph, reading that journal, was more exhausting then I thought. Weiss didn't have to be such a prude about it all." Yang sighed, making her way back to the dorm. "Seriously, it's as if the very idea that magic actually exists, threatens her way of life."

"Alright, now what you wanna do with the design is make sure it's something you can actually handle." Clark's voice came from the other side of the door.

"So, something I can wield, without any problems?" Anya questioned.

"What's going on in here?" Yang asked, coming into the dorm.

"Mom." Anya smiled.

"Welcome back." Clark said.

"Clark thought it was the first day of school, so he came to give a wake up call, but I asked him to stay when he realized it was still a couple days away." Anya said.

"Hope you don't mind." Clark said.

"No, of course not." Yang said. "You fought that Lobo psycho, to protect my daughter. I'd say you're more then welcome to come by any time. So, what is going on over here?"

"Anya, has been trying to design her own weapon for being a Huntress." Clark said showing her the schematics on the paper.

"Ooh, Anya sweetie there is a lot that has to happen before you can even make the blueprints for a weapon." Yang stated.

"Like what?" Anya asked.

"Well, first we have to find out what type of weapon best suits your fighting style." Yang said. "Before that, we have to figure out the fighting style you're best suited for. An' at this point, we don't even know, if you're proficient at long range, or close quarters combat. So we'll have to find that out, before the blueprints can be made."

"Oh." Anya said, sounding disappointed.

"Hey, at least we had fun making them." Clark said.

"Yeah, I had a lot of fun with all the designs we made." Anya smiled, before looking to Yang. "So when are we gonna find out what I'm best suited for with my fighting style?"

"Not until your arm heals." Yang said. "So don't go doing anything stupid."

"Fine." Anya huffed. "But I'm bored sitting in this room all by myself."

"Well you won't have to worry about that for long sweetie." Yang stated. "I ran into Professor Goodwitch on the way here, and she informed me, you're gonna be attending classes with Team RWBY."

"Why though?" Anya asked.

"I don't know. Professor Ozpin was the one who made this decision, and said it was meant for students who are, or have ended up being young mothers, fathers, or both." Yang explained.

"I don't think it'll be so bad." Clark said. "At least you're gonna be able to learn what you need to, for when you actually do earn you license. That'll make it a breeze."

"Going to class might be fun." Anya said.

"You say that now, but don't complain when classes start to get boring." Yang stated, before she jumped as she felt a jolt run through her body from something vibrating.

"You okay Yang?" Clark asked.

"I'm fine, just a little caught off guard." Yang said, pulling her Scroll out from between her breasts, the sight of this making Clark blush a bit. "It's a student wide notification and broadcast."

"Let me check my Scroll." Clark said, pulling his out. "Seems like Professor Ozpin is notifying the entire school about Anya's enrollment."

"Looks like Anya's gonna be the talk of the Academy for a while." Yang said.

"This is gonna be so fun." Anya smiled.

~Class~

"Mom, this is so boring." Anya whined, her arms sprawled out in front of her on the desk.

"I warned you." Yang said.

"Monsters. Demons… prowlers of the night. Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names… But I merely refer to them as prey. Hu-hah. Haha."

"Not funny." Anya said.

"Uhh, and you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy." Port exclaimed as he began to pace around the room. "Now as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world. Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces, and that's where we come in. Huntsmen. Huntresses…" Port, said clicking his tongue and winking at Yang.

'Gag me with a spoon.' Yang thought pulling out her scroll, shooting off a text to Professor Goodwitch.

"Did he just…" Clark began, in a hushed voice.

"Flirt with me? Yeah, already sent a text to Professor Goodwitch about it." Yang replied.

As the lecture continued on, Yang just ignoring Port's ramblings about his younger days, while Ruby was goofing off. With about twenty minutes to spare before the end of the class, the door opened, and Gajeel came in looking unamused, his glare directed at Port, as he stepped up to the porky man.

"Peter. Grey's office, now." Gajeel said. "You've blown your last chance by flirting with a student, again."

"Y-yes sir." Port said knowing not to argue with Gajeel.

"Sorry everyone. Until we can find a proper replacement teacher to fill in Professor Port's position, Grimm Biology will be considered Independent Study Halls. I expect you all to take that time to at least study the materials in your Grimm Biology text books." Gajeel said, addressing the class. "As for those of you who were supposed to have combat training with me next period, you can consider that a free period to do whatever you want, so long as it's not destruction or defacing of school property. I'm looking at you Team CRDL." He stated. "As for right now. I do believe we have a caged Grimm to get rid of."

"Ooh, ooh. Let me please?" Anya asked raising her hand high.

"I don't know short stuff. Would your mother be all right with it?" Gajeel questioned.

"What Grimm is it?" Yang inquired.

"A Boarbatusk." Gajeel stated.

"I'm not so sure that's a good idea." Yang said.

"C'mon Yang, let her give it a shot. It could be fun." Clark encouraged.

"Please mom." Anya pleaded.

"Okay fine, but if it turns out to be too much for you to handle, I'm stepping in." Yang said. "So we're both, gonna get dressed in our training gear."

"Before we begin, who can tell me the three weak points on a Boarbatusk?" Gajeel questioned.

"Professor Blacksteel, a Boarbatusk only has two weak points." Weiss pointed out, raising her hand. "The underside of its belly, and its eyes."

"Actually that's incorrect Ms. Schnee. Anyone else care to take a guess?" Gajeel inquired.

"The third weakness on a Boarbatusk, is one that is commonly overlooked, the spacing between its bone-platted armor when it curls up into a ball." Ruby stated as Yang and Anya got up to go change into their training gear. "The reason why this weakness is so overlooked is because the spacing is very thin, still there, but extremely hard to get to, even harder when it's spinning, unless you're the world's best sniper."

"Correct Ms. Rose." Gajeel said, to which Weiss got annoyed, something that didn't go unnoticed by Clark.

A minute later, Yang and Anya were back in the lecture hall, with a smile on the childs face, dressed in the gear she wore on the Bullhead to Beacon, while Yang was dressed in her training clothes, tying her hair into a ponytail. Her training clothes consisted of a black sports bra that hugged her chest snugly, with her personal emblem embroidered on the left chest, and a pair of yoga pants that only went down to her mid-calves, with yellow double stripes running down the sides of both pieces, leaving her Dragonslayer marks, open and visible to anyone looking. Across the lecture hall from them, was the cage that contained the Boarbatusk.

It was clear from the bandages still wrapped around Yangs left upper arm, right forearm, and the bandage on the right side of her forehead, that she was still recovering slowly, without using her Aura, to heal up.

"Does Yang normally wear that when training?" Blake asked Ruby as Yang monitored Anya as she did some dynamic stretches as a warm up.

"It's a recent thing. She started wearing it not long after the adoption papers were finalized for Anya becoming her daughter." Ruby explained. "She said that since she was now a mom, she was going for a MILF type of vibe."

"She's certainly achieving that goal." Clark said in a hushed tone, blushing at the sight of Yang.

"Oh, I get it. So is doing crazy stuff like this normal for her?" Blake inquired.

"Pretty much." Ruby shrugged.

"Ready, and begin." Gajeel called out, destroying the lock that held the Boarbatusk inside the cage, allowing it to break free, and make for a mad dash at Anya as soon as it spotted her, in the form of a spinning saw blade.

Anya just looked nervously at the Grimm, before she stepped back, and jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the spinning Grimm as it came at her. Rolling forward, Anya hoisted herself onto her feet, before she was facing the Grimm again, and took in a deep breath. A technique Gajeel recognized.

"Lightning/Flame Dragon: ROAR!" Anya cried out, the elemental breath attack heading straight for the Grimm, and destroying it on impact.

When the breath attack died down, Anya was panting in exhaustion, and Gajeel was looking impressed.

"Very well done Ms. Xiao Long. You lured the Grimm in closer, to a range your attack could reach, and used your breath attack to take it out in one shot. You are quite remarkable for a child." Gajeel whistled, clapping his hands, before the bell rang. "An' that signifies the end of our time today. Class dismissed."

"Aunt Ruby, did you see how I took down the Grimm?" Anya asked happily.

"You did good kiddo." Ruby smiled, while Anya looked at Weiss, only for the heiress to huff in annoyance and walk off, leaving Anya feeling dejected a bit.

At this, Gajeel noticed the markings on the back of Anya's neck, getting bigger, and longer.

"What's her deal?" Blake asked as she and Ruby came to Yang and Anya's side.

"I don't know." Yang said. "She's been acting like that, since it was announced Anya would be joining our class.

"I'll go talk to her." Ruby said, running off after Weiss.

"I'll come to." Clark said, coming with Ruby.

Following the snowy girl out of the class room, Ruby and Clark both tailed her, until they managed to catch up with the girl. Neither of them aware of the little girl tailing them, herself.

"Weiss, Weiss hold up." Clark called out

"What's wrong with you, why are you being…" Ruby began.

"What's wrong with ME? What's wrong with you?" Weiss interrupted. "You're supposed to be a leader, and all you have been so far is a nuisance."

"Whoa, back up Weiss. Where is this coming from?" Clark asked.

"What did I do?" Ruby countered.

"That's just it, you haven't done anything to prove you've earned your position, or your place here at Beacon." Weiss stated. "Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and immaturely, and you've only continued to act childish, just as much as Anya has."

"Weiss, where is this coming from?" Ruby asked, a hint of hurt obvious in her voice. "I thought you believed in acting like a team."

"Not a team lead by you, or with that cursed child as a member." Weiss said coldly.

"Hey now, that's uncalled for." Clark said. "Anya isn't to blame for Lobo's arrival."

"It doesn't matter. She's still a cursed child, for being the target of such a madman." Weiss scoffed, looking back at Ruby. "I've studied and trained harder then you, or that niece of yours, and frankly I deserve better. Ozpin made a mistake making you leader, and putting that bad luck charm on our team." She stated before turning on her heels, and walking away.

Ruby felt heart broken, and saddened at Weiss's words. She had no idea Weiss felt this way, about her appointment to leader, or by Anya being put on their team.

Clark however, wasn't so naïve. He could clearly see Weiss was behaving like nothing but a spoiled princess who didn't get her way. But when he looked at Ruby, he could see that Weiss's words had cut her deeply. He was about to console her, before he heard a sniffling, which drew their attention to Anya, having finally noticed she'd followed them, and was hurt by Weiss's words, before she went running when both students spotted her.

"Anya wait." Ruby called out.

"Hmm. Now that didn't seem to go very well."

Ruby and Clark turned to see Ozpin had arrived on the scene, not looking all too surprised at what he'd just saw.

"I'll go talk with Weiss." Clark said. "Anya's most likely heading for wherever Yang is, so she shouldn't be too far away."

"Good luck reaching through to Ms. Schnee, Mr. Kent." Ozpin said.

"Thanks Professor." Clark said, before he followed Weiss, while Ruby continued her conversation with Ozpin.

"Is she right? Did you make a mistake by appointing me as Team Leader?" Ruby asked. "Or by letting Anya into our team?"

"That remains to be seen." Ozpin said, with a slight chuckle, taking a sip of his coffee.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean it's only been one day." Professor Ozpin said. "Ruby, I've made more mistakes than any man, woman, or child on this planet. But at this present moment I would not consider your appointment to leader, or allowing your niece entry into Beacon Academy at her age, to be one of them. Do you believe that appointing you was a mistake, do you believe that little Anya doesn't belong here, after only one day?"

"Well I…"

"Being a Team Leader isn't just a title you carry into battle." Ozpin explained. "It's a badge you wear constantly. If you are not always performing at your absolute best, then what reason do you give others to follow you? You have been burdened with a daunting responsibility, Ruby. I advise you take some time, to think about how you will uphold it. But in the mean time, I suggest you go looking for little Anya. I'm certain, she's just run off in a random direction"

~Clark~

Clark marched outside, wanting to find Weiss and give her a piece of his mind, before he found Weiss, confronting Professor Gajeel, with his scroll in hand as he was looking through a list of applicants who might be able to take Peter Ports place. He held back on confronting her to see how this interaction would go.

"Professor Blacksteel." Weiss began.

"Ah, Ms. Schnee. Is there something I can do for you?" Gajeel asked, standing up and turning around to look at her.

"I-I enjoyed the last few minutes of class, with you as the Professor."

"I didn't do much, just some simple Grimm Biology with an end of class fight. Anya is the one I was impressed with." Gajeel said. "Now, if you don't mind, could you please get to the real reason as to why you came out here to talk to me? I can tell by the sound of your voice, something is on your mind."

"Yes sir." Weiss said, before letting out a nervous breath.

"Sometime this week would be nice Ms. Schnee. I'm currently in the middle of looking for Ports replacement." Gajeel said.

"Well, I-I think I should've been the leader of Team RWBY." Weiss said.

"Ah. So that's what this is about. You don't think Ms. Rose is qualified, because she hasn't gone through the same training you've gone through." Gajeel said. "An' you think Professor Ozpin made a mistake by choosing someone other than yourself."

"Yes. I'm more experienced than her, I have a better mindset for battle, and I'm not immature like her either." Weiss said. "So I was hoping that maybe you could talk to Professor Ozpin, and have him switch our positions on the team, and make me leader?"

"Sorry Ms. Schnee. It ain't happening." Gajeel said sternly, leaning back against the railing. "The very notion you're suggesting is just plain idiotic."

"Excuse me?" Weiss questioned, sounding frustrated that a Professor of Beacon, the most Prestigious Huntsmen Academy in all Four Kingdoms, was not agreeing with her on the matter, she believed she was correct about.

"Look. I've trusted Oz and believed in him for many years, ever since I first came to Remnant. The man has never once lead me astray, or given me reason to doubt him." Gajeel explained.

"So you would just blindly accept his decision even after seeing how exceptional I am?" Weiss asked.

"Watch your tone with me Ms. Schnee. I might be a Combat Instructor here at the Academy, but I can easily send you to Professor Fullbuster for disciplinary action." Gajeel said. "Your exceptional skills you demonstrated in the Emerald Forest yesterday, are only matched by your poor attitude and greedy desire to have everything your way."

"How dare you." Weiss said.

"Right there Ice Queen. His point was just proven, by your response." Clark said, showing himself.

"Oh great, what do you want Kent?" Weiss asked.

"I'm here, because you not only hurt Ruby's feelings, but reduced Anya to tears before she ran away." Clark said.

"You told her what I said?" Weiss inquired.

"Didn't have to, she was there and heard every word you said." Clark stated, crossing his arms.

"Oh." Weiss said.

"What's this about Anya?" Gajeel asked.

"Just Weiss calling her a cursed child, and basically saying she's a burden on the school, and a magnet for bad luck." Clark stated.

"You have to be kidding me." Gajeel groaned. "Ms. Schnee, she's a child who's been through years of endless trauma, not to mention a Dragon Faunus. You have no idea what she's been through."

"Neither of you have any idea what I had to do to get to Beacon, to even get my father to allow me to attend a Huntsman Academy instead of studying to take over the Family Company!" Weiss exclaimed. "I'm far more superior to Ruby, and deserve to have my talents recognized by being made Team Leader."

"You may think you're better leader material than Ruby, but that's only because you only know your own level of skills." Clark stated. "You haven't once stopped to consider what she might have accomplished to earn her scholarship here at the academy."

"When I look at you Ms. Schnee, you know what I see? I see a girl before me who has spent her entire life, getting exactly what she wanted, just by a snap of her fingers." Gajeel said.

"That's not even remotely true." Weiss argued. "Why are you both ganging up on me like this?"

"Oh, it's quite accurate actually." Clark said.

"I've worked with your sister on several occasions, and she's told me about how you always get what you want, no matter who pays the price for it. My point is, you might be a big shot up in Atlas, but here in Vale, you're just the same as us. You have no influential power here, you have no control on anyone's decisions. So suck it up, stop acting like a spoiled little Princess, and just accept the fact, that Ruby Rose, has more potential as a leader than you."

"She does not have more potential then me. I'm superior to her in every way." Weiss said.

"Now you're starting to sound like a red haired Faunus I've had run ins with." Clark stated.

"You're a good kid Ms. Schnee. But you have to learn to accept that not everything is going to go your way. Ms. Rose earned her place at this Academy, just as much as you did. You might not have gone through the same trials to get here, but she's earned her spot in this Academy. So I suggest you take some time to reflect on what I've said."

"But Ruby is just so childish and immature. Even Anya behaved better than her and paid attention in class." Weiss said. "She even killed the Grimm."

"Ruby's only fifteen. Two years younger than you, and trying to enjoy what little childhood she has left, after being accepted into the Academy, two years early. Which that alone tells you the amount of potential she has. You're the one who's acting childish right now. Do you really believe that acting in such a manner, would cause those in power to reconsider their decision?" Gajeel questioned.

"But…"

"Instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do." Gajeel stated. "Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader, but the best person you can be, and support your Team Leader, instead of hopelessly wishing for a position that'll never be yours. That's what it means to be a team player, to be a member of a family. Because that's essentially what a team is, a family you grow bonds, and form strong ties with. An' with Anya, it also makes you a member of Fairy Tail, not just you, but all of Team RWBY, along with Mr. Kent and Ms. Cruz. An' members of Fairy Tail, look out for one another. You understand what I'm saying?"

"I think so." Weiss said.

"Good, now let's go look for Anya, and have you apologize to her." Clark said.

~Anya~

Things weren't looking all that great for Anya. She wanted to follow Clark and Ruby, and find out why Weiss was acting so mean, but she never expected to find her saying stuff like that, especially about her and Ruby.

"Why does she have to be so mean?" Anya questioned.

"Anya?" The child looked up, and saw Jessica standing over her, a look of concern on her face, while dressed in her Huntress clothes, ready for combat class. "What's wrong sweetie?" Jessica asked, kneeling down in front of her. "Did something happen, did you get separated from Yang somehow?"

Anya didn't respond verbally, rather she just glomped Jessica in a hug, and buried her face, into the Green Lanterns chest, as she continued crying.

"Hey, it's okay. I'm here, everything's gonna be okay sweetie." Jessica said.

"Even though I'm a cursed child?" Anya asked, her voice muffled a bit.

"Who told you, you're cursed?" Jessica asked.

"Weiss called me cursed, when she was arguing with Clark and Aunt Ruby." Anya said.

"Oh sweetie, come here." Jessica said, picking Anya up, and holding her in her arms. "Let's head for the cafeteria. I'm sure there's something on the menu you'd like, my treat."

"I want ice cream."

"We'll get you some ice cream." Jessica said with a smile, pulling out her Scroll, and dialing up a number. "Hey Yang, it's Jessica… Nothing, I'm just calling to let you know Anya's with me. She's upset about some stuff Weiss said about her that were pretty harsh, so I'm gonna take her to get some ice cream at the cafeteria, is that okay…? Great, I'll see you later then, hope you manage to take care of whatever you need to take care of."

~Vale~

"Damn that blondie, my insurance ratings are through the roof now thanks to her." The club owner said, looking over the numbers at the bar counter. "If I never see her again, it'll be too soon."

"Uh boss, we've got a bit of a problem." One of his henchmen said.

Junior turned around, and nearly had a heart attack, when he saw Yang, dressed in her usual attire, with the addition of a choker with her emblem engraved into a charm.

"Blondie, you're back… why?" Junior asked nervously, taking off his sunglasses, while noticing her new looks.

"I'm looking for someone but it's someone else." Yang said, holding up her scroll with a picture of her target. "I have a little business I need to discuss with her. Name's Dew Hearts, ring any bells?"

"She's here. V.I.P lounge." Junior said. "But what exactly are you wanting with her?"

"I don't know if you've heard, but I recently adopted a kid I rescued in the woods on Patch." Yang said. "A Dragon Faunus, the reason why I'm not a Dragon Faunus as well."

"News about the Atlesian Forces being driven off Patch did reach my ears. No surprise it was you. But what exactly does this have to do with my customer? I doubt she's an Atlesian Specialist." Junior exclaimed.

"Oh she isn't. But she fed my daughter Wind Dust, in an attempt to murder her, just because she's a Faunus." Yang said coldly. "Thankfully my daughter is fine, and unharmed, as she is a Dragon Faunus."

Junior's eyes narrowed as he stood up from his stool at the bar, and looked to the men who had escorted Yang, a serious look on his face.

"Bring Dew Hearts here boys. An' don't be gentle." Junior said, fixing his tie, and putting his sunglasses back on.

"Sir." The two said, heading off to grab Dew.

"You're being awfully cooperative. What gives?" Yang asked.

"I might be a criminal, but even I have my standards, with children being off limits. Plus, I'm Pro-Faunus to boot. So when I find out, one of my customers, tried to murder a child, just for being a Faunus, I don't mess around. I do have some morals you know, and some of which are my protective nature towards children. I do have my daughters to think about."

"The twins I fought last time I was here?" Yang asked.

"That'd be them." Junior stated. "Take a seat, I'll have a drink fixed up for you." Junior said, going behind the bar counter. "It was a strawberry sunrise, wasn't it?"

"That it was." Yang affirmed, taking a seat.

"So I gotta ask. The last time you were here, what was so important about the woman you were trying to find?" Junior questioned. "You obviously had a good reason to grab me by the balls like that."

"She's my mom. My biological mom, that is." Yang said. "She abandoned me and my dad when I was less than a year old. I was barely a week old when she left actually."

"Ah, I see. You're looking for answers from her, as to why she left." Junior said in realization, sliding the drink over to her. "That actually makes a lot of sense."

"Hey, do you hear me? I said let go this instant."

Yang turned to look over her shoulder, spotting Junior's men dragging a flailing woman to the counter, dressed in a backless, open leg teal dress. As she was brought closer, Yang turned back to her drink, and sipped it.

"Dew Hearts?" Junior asked, coming out from the bar counter, as the woman was thrown onto the ground.

"Yeah? You the owner of this establishment?" Dew asked, getting to her feet.

"I am." Junior said.

"Good, because I have a complaint about your men. They barged into the VIP Lounge and dragged me out of it like I didn't belong in there." Dew exclaimed.

"I know, I told them to bring you here." Junior stated.

"Why the hell, would you order your men, to mishandle a member of the Vale Council like that?" Dew questioned.

"Oh, so you're a member of the Council? That makes this all the more, sweeter." Junior said walking around her. "You see, I've recently acquired some, very disturbing information about you Ms. Hearts, very disturbing indeed. Information that will ruin your career and get you booted off the council, while also thrown in jail, for what I can only assume, is a life sentence."

"What are you talking about?"

"You tried to murder a Faunus Child, by feeding her a Dust Crystal, telling her it was candy, or something sweet like that, didn't you?" Junior asked.

"You don't have any proof of that." Dew stated, obviously surprised that Junior knew of such information. "You have no proof."

"*I can't believe my plan didn't work.*" Dew's drunk voice echoed from Yang's scroll in the video taken by Qrow. "*It was flawless, I lure a homeless Faunus Child in and offer them some candy, but instead of candy, I feed them a Dust Crystal, and poof, one less shit stain polluting the planet. It worked so well with the others, why didn't it work with this damned animal?*"

Dew turned her head to Yang, her face palling in horror, as she looked at the hollow screen produced by the scroll, and saw the video had a clear, unedited full view of her face. Next to the scroll, Yang's angry, unamused face that told Dew she was not in the mood for her games.

"All right, fine I get it. What do you want in exchange for keeping quiet? Money, power?" Dew asked. "As a member of the Council I can get you anything you want."

"Sorry, that's not how this is going to play out." Junior said. "As much as I'd love to take you up on that blackmailing offer, I'm afraid I'm not the one to talk to. She is!" He exclaimed pointing his thumb at Yang. "I believe she has a few words to discuss with you, about trying to kill her daughter."

Dew's face went ghostly pale, as Yang got up from her stool, and backed up into the railing as the blonde got closer to her.

"Please, I'll give you anything you want." Dew said, before Yang grabbed her by the throat, and raised her up into the air.

"The only thing I want, is to see you suffer, and pay for all the innocent lives you've taken." Yang said, before slamming Dew into the ground, causing it to quake slightly. Yang let go of Dew's throat, and clenched her fist as she stood up, while Dew remained motionless.

"Gotta hand it to you blondie, I didn't think you had the guts to assault a Council Member like that." Junior whistled, sounding impressed. "She dead?"

"No, just unconscious." Yang said, using her scroll to send the video to the police, with a note. "The police will be expecting to pick her up a mile away from here in the bad part of downtown, under one of the bridges. I'd recommend you get two of your men to move her unconscious body there ASAP." Yang stated. "Doesn't matter where, just leave her under the south bridge. Make it look like she passed out while drinking, or something."

Junior snapped his fingers at the two henchmen who heard her, and motioned for them to get that done, while grabbing a bottle of their strongest wine, and a few empty bottles of the same brand, for good measure.

"You've got an eye for this sort of thing. You ever think of joining a crew?" Junior asked.

"I've already got a crew." Yang said, with a smile on her face. "But thanks for the offer. I assume this means we're on friendly terms?"

"So long as you don't destroy my club again, yes." Junior smiled.

"Great." Yang said cheerfully. "Know any good tattoo parlors around the area?"

~Yang's Dorm Later that Night~

Yang yawned as she made her way through the halls of Beacon. Professor Blacksteel had given her a stern lecture about leaving, and coming back this late, but let her off with a warning when she told him why she was gone for so long.

Stopping in front of a room door, Yang listened in carefully, and heard someone was still awake. Knocking on it a couple times, the door opened up to reveal Clark standing there, wearing a white wife beater tank top, with a pair of black sweats on.

"Sorry to disturb you so late." Yang said. "I just came to pick up Anya."

"She's on the bed with Jessica." Clark said with a smile.

Coming in, Yang smiled when she saw Anya cuddled into Jessica's embrace, with the girl holding a book, about the Four Seasonal Maidens, while both of them were sound asleep.

"They look so adorable." Yang said in a hushed tone.

"No need to be so quiet." Clark said. "Jessica can sleep through pretty much anything."

"Is that a fact?" Yang smiled.

"To be honest though, I'm surprised they fell asleep at all, given how much ice cream they ate." Clark said.

Yang looked at Clark, before looking to the desk to her left, and sighed when she saw four empty buckets of Strawberry, Vacuo(French) Vanilla, Bubblegum, and Tiger Tail Sherbet Ice Cream.

"Jessica really spoiled Anya today." Yang sighed.

"Let this one go okay?" Clark asked. "Weiss said some pretty hurtful stuff, she never intended for Anya to actually hear, so she's been out all afternoon looking for her, to apologize."

"I'll let it be. I'm too exhausted to deal with this." Yang said, stifling a yawn, before stretching her arms up, revealing something to Clark on her right breast, in the pectoralis major area. "But I'm giving Weiss a piece of my mind tomorrow."

"Yang, did you get a tattoo?" Clark asked.

The tattoo she'd gotten was the same Fairy Tail emblem that Anya had tattooed on her back, and was etched into the cover of Natsu's journal, the only different being, it was outlined in gold, with crimson red filling in the area inside the design.

"Oh, so you're looking at my girls huh?" Yang asked teasingly. "Guess I shouldn't be surprised, you are still a hot blooded teen after all."

"No, that's not what I was doing." Clark said with a blush. "It's just the colors of the tattoo caught my eye, and I just asked as if it were no big deal."

"Well to answer your question, yeah I did get a tattoo." Yang said. "Mainly, I got it so Anya wouldn't feel alone, if anyone judged her for having it, if they ever saw the tattoo on her back."

"That's kinda sweet actually." Clark said, getting an idea of his own.

"But I gotta say, despite how fast they moved, this is some first rate work." Yang smiled. "I just hope that it will heal up rather soon. I'd like to avoid revealing it to the Professors, asking why I'm in pain."

"Fair enough." Clark chuckled.

"Would you be all right if I left Anya to sleep here tonight? I haven't really gotten a decent nights sleep since I became her mother." Yang said.

"We'll be sure to bring her by class tomorrow." Clark smiled. "Get some rest, you've earned it."

"Thanks big guy." Yang smiled. "I'll see you in the morning."

Clark escorted Yang out the door, smiling as she left, with neither of them noticing the black thorny marks on the back of Anya's neck, growing longer, and reaching to the base of her head, right behind her ears.
