Lincoln woke up in a soft bed looking around he saw an IV connected to his arm it had a clear liquid with a silver like a tint sleeping on a chair across from him was Cogs holding on to another kobold this was the first time lincoln noticed the golden sheen of Cogs skin as it was opposed by the other kobolds silver sheen. Lincoln tried to stand and saw his legs were in bronze-colored bandages. It hurt but he could still walk so he decided to take one.

Lincoln used the IV as support and headed towards the foyer where he knew Emily would be.

"Oh come on couldn't you stay out another day now I owe Atlanta 5 drachma," Emily said as he entered the room.

"Sorry about that, where is Atlanta," l8ncoln asked.

"oh she left 3 days ago you've been out for just under 4 by the way," Emily explained.

"wow well I'm sorry you lost your bet, can I assume you were the one who patched me up," Lincoln asked.

"YaYeahhat's the last of my moon water and those bandages are from Hestia I took a look at their enchanted thair eventually acting as support for your legs without them I don't think you would be able to stand let alone walk," Emily explained.

"well that's awesome, and what's moon water," Lincoln asked.

"the moon water is a magic elixir made by your mother. It can act as an energy drink but when injected into the bloodstream it heals almost as well as Nectar or Ambrosia it's a secret kept among the hunters," She explained.

"well thank you for using it on me," Lincoln answers.

"good and now that you're up there are a few piglets that want to see you," Emily said with a smirk.

Before lincoln could react he was pinned to the ground by the piglets.

"Aww I'm so happy to see you three oh wow look how big you've gotten," Lincoln said scratching the head of the one who had him pinned.

The three had gotten much larger over only a few days the two younger ones were the size of a great dane while the eldest was a good half foot taller than the others it's tusks were just now starting to show.

after a few minutes, the eldest finally let Lincoln back up and spoke.

"thank you, Master Lincoln,"

"What for," Lincoln asked.

"Mistress Hestia told us about what happened with Mama thank you for … freeing her," One of the younger ones said with a hint of sadness in its voice.

"Don't thank me should have found a way to save her,"

"Oi don't be like that I may not speak pig but I can guess you're trying to take the blame for their mother don't these things are going to outlive you and odds are their mother will be back testing the strengths of heroes in a couple of decades," Emily called out.

"yeah, and mama told us that one day a hero would slay her and not to hate them for it," the eldest answers.

"Thank you so much for understanding I didn't want to hurt her I really didn't I had no choice im so sorry," Lincoln said letting himself cry as he embraced the eldest as the other two began to nuzzle him.

Once Lincoln had collected himself Emily led him to the dining room and gave him an amazing stew, Emily explained Hestia had made it for him before she left, he had had this stew before when he was little he barely remembered. It was the last time he had seen his grandmother on his dad's side, she had taken the recipe with her to her grave and his dad had been trying to recreate it.

"here she said you would want this," Emily added handing Lincoln a recipe card.

"Wow I need to find a way to thank her," Lincoln said with a content smile.

Once Lincoln finished he went back to sleep feeling very tired from the meal he headed back to his bed and slept till the next morning.

The next day Lincoln noticed that the bandages were no longer bronze now a dull gray, the IV was also empty standing up he felt his legs were fully held. Cogs and the other kobold weren't in their chair he headed to the foyer and after seeing no one there he went to the courtyard where he saw Emily Cogs the unnamed Kobold and the piglets.

"Hey everyone," Lincoln called.

"Good you're up and the Bandages have dulled good," Emily said smirking.

"ya I noticed that what does it mean," Lincoln asked.

"they were enchanted once they stopped glowing it means you're healed enough to leave I had Cogs and Gears keep an eye on them but every day they came to New saying they were better turns out Kobolds are color blind," she explained.

"oh and I'm guessing you're Gears," Lincoln said turning to the solver Kobold.

"Yes Gears is Gears," they explain.

"Gears is Kogs Mate," Kogs added.

Lincoln had no idea what to say to that and was happy when Emily started speaking again.

"So I loved having you here but I have orders to kick you out as soon as you're good to go," She explained.

"oh well, thanks for waiting I'll be on my way,"

"Oi just because I'm kicking you out doesn't mean I'm leaving you high and dry check out what I had the kobolds whip up," She said as the boars steps aside revealing an altered dog sled it had 6 wheels a portion filled with supplies and place where Lincoln could stand.

"We build for a new master," Gears smirked.

"wait what new master," Lincoln asked.

"Cogs new master," Kogs answers with a smirk.

"Wow, good for you man," Lincoln laughed.

Kogs began to show Lincoln all the extras he had built into the sled like how to lower and raise the wheels the mounted crossbows and the minibar.

"wow this is awesome but uh … how does it move I mean with the harnesses id assume it needs some dogs but…,"

"That would be us, Boss," the eldest boar explained.

"Oh thank you …. I uh never got your names did I," Lincoln asked.

"We don't have names … Can you name us," The youngest asked.

"Uh well um … Do you mind if I think about that," Lincoln responded.

"Of course," the middle answers.

Lincoln put the harness on the three boars and said his goodbyes he stood at the handles.

"Hold tight Bossman," The eldest smirked before running off.

The world blurred as the boars ran at full speed within an hour they were back in the USA Lincoln saw a sign saying they were a few miles from Columbus Ohio.

"Wow, I can't believe we made it so far so quickly," Lincoln said with surprise.

"Thanks, boss, now we need to know where to go from here," The eldest asked.

"what do you mean,"

"well from the smell of it your family is that way but doc grace said to take you that way," the eldest explained pointing north and east with its tusks.

"oh well I…," Lincoln Hadn't really thought about going home for a while his heart ached he missed his sisters and parents but at the same time he had essentially abandoned his brother back at camp he had trouble picking what way to go.
