I'm sorry this is so behind. I hope you like the story! Also, I plan on writing one long story for the month of Decmeber. I'm not sure what fandom I should write it in, so let me know if you have any thoughts. I have a google form link on my tumblr if you want to respond that way! Otherwise let me know in a review!

"You mean to tell me, Vivi, that you've been arrested for poisoning mortal children?" Jude asked her older sister through the glass at the local police station. "How did that even happen?"
"It's Halloween, Jude. I was giving out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I guess I must have accidentally thrown some Fairie sweets into the bowl and hadn't realized."
Jude sighed. Taryn had sent a message to Jude that Vivi had been arrested in the mortal world and to come quickly to try to help. "Could it have been a plot by Madoc, to get back at me for exiling him?"
Vivi gave Jude a confused look. "If he was trying to get to you, wouldn't he go after you?"
"How would he do that?" He can't enter Fairie, and unless I come to the mortal world, he can't get to me at all." Jude responded. "I wouldn't put it past him to try something like this, though."
Vivi shook her head. "I think you're wrong, Jude. Either way, though, I've poisoned mortal children, and—"
"Do you mean poisoned like lethally, or food poisoning?" Jude interrupted.
"Sounds like food poisoning, but I'm still in trouble. I was kinda hoping you could bail me out." Vivi responded.
Jude gave her a deadpan look. "With what money?"
"You're queen of Fairie, shouldn't you have money?"
Jude shook her head. "What we have is gold and jewels, nothing like I could use here to get you out. Besides, couldn't you just glamour the police to not arrest you in the first place?"
"I didn't think of that, now it's too late. I'm in the system."
"How could this have happened?" Jude muttered to herself. "Let me go talk to Cardan, and we'll see what we can do."
Vivi nodded as Jude left the visiting room.
The next day, as Jude was walking through the Burgh, Vivi crossed her path. This was odd for a couple of reasons, the least of which being that the last time she had seen her sister, Vivi had been in a mortal jail.
"Vivi?"
Vivi stopped walking and turned to face Jude. "What's up, Jude?" She asked.
"How did you get out of jail?"
"Ask your husband," Vivi said quickly, a look of panic crossing her face as she resumed walking at a faster pace.
And that's what Jude did. She was able to find Cardan in their bed chambers, starting the process of getting ready for a revel.
"Cardan?" She asked.
He didn't turn to look at her as he responded. "Yes, Jude?"
"Why did Vivi say to ask you about it when I asked her how she got out of jail?"
"I don't know why she told you to ask me."
"You know that's not what I meant, Cardan."
He sighed and turned around to look her in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Jude. glamoured the people at the jail to let her go, and to take her out of the system entirely."
Jude sighed. "I guess I wish you hadn't done it, but as long as no one got hurt, and it is all said and done, whatever."
Cardan gave her a small smile. "If it makes you feel better, when I went to get Vivienne, the people there were talking about how all the kids who had gotten sick from whatever Vivienne was giving out were already feeling better and seemed to be back to normal."
"That's good. Did we have any more idea on how the situation happened in the first place ?"
Cardan shook his head.
Later that night, at the harvest revel, Marco was dragged, bound and screeching insults at the guards dragging him into the burgh. He was wearing mortal clothes but also had the cloak he often wore while Jude and her sisters were growing up.
When he was thrown at Jude's feet, the entire room went silent. The musicians stopped playing and the dancing stopped. Talking and whispering also cut off abruptly.
Jude looked at him coldly. "What are you doing here? Your terms of exile were that you could never return."
Maddox grinned evilly. "I wasn't planning on getting caught. But it shouldn't be me you're worried about, take a look at husband."
Jude whipped around to check on Cardan. He was where he had been most of the night, sitting on his throne, drinking wine, and watching his people. However, there was a slight tinge of green coloring his face.
"Jude," Cardan said, his voice carrying through the silent room. "I'm inclined to agree with Madoc. Something's wrong."
Jude turned back to her foster father, a grim expression on her face. Then she looked to where one of the Court of Shadows was waiting, right next to her. With the mask, she couldn't tell who it was.
"Send Madoc to the Tower of Forgetting. I'll deal with him there, later."
Whoever it was nodded and Madoc was dragged back out of the burgh as Jude turned back to her husband. The crowd was still silent as she reached Cardan. The green was more noticeable now, and Jude was quick to grab his hand and turn them towards the door.
"I apologize for our abrupt departure, but please stay and enjoy the food and company!" Jude announced to the fae as she and Cardan left the room.
By the time the sun was rising, Cardan was back to normal. It worked in their favor that the Ghost recognized the type of poison from when he was in Madoc's service. He was able to get an antidote nearly as soon as they had gotten Cardan out of the burgh.
Also in that time, the Bomb (the member of the Court of Shadows who had taken Madoc to the Tower), had given Jude an update that Madoc had confessed to being the one to frame Vivi. Although, there was no explanation as to why.
"So," Jude said. "Madoc tried to frame Vivi for poison in the mortal world, then came here to try to poison you. It's been a chaotic few days."
Cardan nodded. "That it has."
