I spent the afternoon with Esme again. She was most fascinated to hear all about Bella. We talked for some six hours about her.

Esme suggested I ask Bella some questions to become better acquainted with her. I should dearly like to, though I fear my arousal at her presence and the profound sense of terror that renders me quite incapable of speech may pose a significant impediment.

My hopes that Bella should contact me after my efforts to give her my telephone number are dimming daily. Perhaps this is a punishment for my cursed and abhorrent nature.

Esme says most females nowadays are not so concerned with needlepoint. I have no idea what Bella's hobbies are aside from reading, she often has a book in hand and seems to enjoy Austen.

I realise there is still so much to learn about my beloved Bella that I cannot discover whilst she is sleeping or through examination of the contents of the Swan's garbage can. I must employ some further reconnaissance to comprehend her better. Perhaps I should use my instant camera to catalogue her bedroom.

Does Bella keep a journal too? If so, I wonder how I might find opportunity to read it. Hearing her most private thoughts would be scripture to me.

Has she, perchance written of me? What does she think of me?

Oh I yearn so to know her completely.
