Wednesday was feeling nauseous. A feeling she usually loves, but not like this.
The room around her was full of bright colours, motivational posters and over-sorted stationary. In short, it was the school office and a hell hole.
A small, old woman was behind the main counter, filing through students' timetables, looking for Wednesday's.
"Here we are," she said, pulling out a small slip of paper. "On your timetable, you will find all of your classes and teachers. If you get lost or don't know where you are going, you can find a teacher and I'm sure they'll help you out."
Wednesday sniffed, grabbed her timetable and swiftly departed the room. She could sense the office lady's shock and disgust at her lack of manners and communication. But honestly, who cares.
She took a glance at her timetable and made her way to math class in room 178, with Miss Norbury. Inside the class, where a Motley Crue of teenagers, sitting in seats. Wednesday sat at the closest seat near the front. A girl with black hair, done up in a messy ponytail-bun took one glance at her and smiled.
"You don't want to sit there," she said with a smirk, "That's where Kristen Hadley's boyfriend sits."
Wednesday took that warning with a grain of salt.
"Does it look like I care?"
The girl raised her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders in an 'I-told-you-so' kind of way. A girl with strawberry-blonde hair, sitting next to Wednesday, was staring daggers at her. The blonde narrowed her eyes and sneered at her. This must be Kristen Hadley.
"Excuse me," she said through gritted teeth, "That's where my boyfriend sits."
Wednesday blatantly ignored her and started unpacking her maths gear from her bag. It sounded like Kristen Hadley was growling beside Wednesday.
A skinny, dweeb of a guy entered the room. He looked at Kristen Hadley and then looked at Wednesday. She stared back at him. The boy looked questioningly at Wednesday. She meerly raised an eyebrow.
Taking a hint, he sat in the seat behind Kristen Hadley. Kristen turned around. If looks could kill, the boyfriend would be long gone.
"Hey, everyone. Sorry I'm late, the barista took ages to make my cappuccino."
A small teacher with brown hair and glasses was settling into her desk at the front of the class. Miss Norbury.
