Chapter 01 Episode 01 - Ruins of Adventure
The Game Development Club's room, located at Millennium Science Academy, was filled with tension as two groups locked eyes in a fierce staring contest. On one side of the room stood Saiba Momoi and her twin sister, Saiba Midori, both members of the Game Development Club, determined to defend their club room and budget. Opposing them was Hayase Yuuka, the treasurer of the seminar.
"You really don't know when to give up, do you?" Yuuka showed a paper in her hand. Written on it was a certain request that Momoi made to the SCHALE. "To think you would even get the SCHALE involved in an attempt to continue the club."
"What...How do you know?" Momoi was in shock.
"But it's all pointless. The operation of clubs is mostly left up to the student councils of each school," Yuuka continued, "Do you think SCHALE has authority over Millennium Science School?"
"Well, you forced my hand!" Momoi stood, pointing at Yuuka with an angry face, and said, "You say that we either get enough members or produce results worthy of a club at Millennium. But Seminar keeps sabotaging us."
"Don't blame your shortcomings on me!" Yuuka flicked Momoi's head, and the blonde-haired girl fell backward, holding her forehead. Yuuka then continued, "I told you guys had a month to save your club. But because of your request, I will shorten the deadline to two weeks."
"No way!" Midori, who was just looking worriedly at her big sister, finally said, "You can't do that! That's tyranny!"
"Yuuka actually wants to close down your club right away, you know," a voice suddenly called.
Fuwa Itsuki, the vice president of the seminar, sat on the sofa with his black hair falling around his face. He had a laptop on his lap and was absentmindedly chewing on a chocolate bar.
"It didn't help that the Internal Audit is currently breathing down our neck because we didn't close the defunct club sooner," Itsuki continued, "You two, take the deal for now. I will help."
The Saiba twins looked at each other and then worshipped the young man with glee. "Thank you, Fuwa-sama!" they said in unison.
"How come they respect you more than me?" Yuuka complained.
The vice president of Seminar looked at Yuuka, "Ask them, not me," He answered. Then he focused back on the Saiba Twins and added, "I also didn't want my personal hangout place to get closed down, But as I am also Vice President of Seminar, the internal audit won't look kindly on me helping you directly. So, do you have a plan? You either need to have more members or create a game."
Momoi finally stood again, her eyes sparkling, "Yes! We had no choice! It is time to seek the !" she said with energetic eyes.
Yuuka facepalmed. She doesn't know what is but clearly Momoi's obsession with it make her crazy, "How is a book will help you?" Yuuka approached Momoi and shook her body angrily.
"NO! I am sure this the solution of our problem!" Momoi manage to escape from Yuuka's grip. She run and then hide behind Itsuki's rasuring back. The blonde haired girl then added, "It will help us to finish our game! so I am sure of this!"
Yuuka sighed and then looked at her childhood friend, "Itsuki, would you mind staying with them? I am worried they will get in trouble otherwise," Yuuka said.
"That's what I planned," Itsuki nodded, "You can report back to Noa for now."
Yuuka then glared at the twin and said, "I don't care if you get a new member, create a new game, or just get the you speak of. But when I come back in two weeks, I want you girls to give me a reason to suspend the disbandment of this club."
"I bet Midori's game console that we will blow your mind!" Momoi declared.
"Wait! Don't bet my game console!" Midori punched her sister's shoulder.
Yuuka sighed before turning back and leaving the room. Finally, when only three of them remained, Itsuki asked, "So, what is this ?"
Fuwa Itsuki couldn't help but wonder if these girls' decision was the correct one. Of course, since he wasn't a formal member of the Game Development Club, he wouldn't dictate what they did to save their club. But honestly, Momo's idea was kind of dumb.
"I know that look!" Momoi said as she looked at Itsuki. "You think my idea is dumb and you just want to get out of here, right?"
"Midori had the same look," Itsuki pointed out.
"Such distrust! I did my best for our club, you know!" Momoi replied snarkily.
They were currently in a ruin near Millenium Academy, uncreatively called 'Ruins'. A massive abandoned complex where many rumors originated. There is this one about a squid robot who will violate anyone who passes here.
"Onee-chan, are you sure the was here?" Midori asked.
"I am sure it's here," Momoi replied. "Isn't that why those robots are here?" She looked at Itsuki. "These are Seminar's robots, right? Can you disable them?"
"Nope," Itsuki replied. "Access to here was always strictly prohibited, but it was at the order of The President of General Student Council. So I wouldn't know how to disable them."
"Isn't the President of General Student Council, the one who is at the top of Kivotos, but suddenly vanished into thin air?" questioned Midori.
"Yep," Itsuki nodded. "After her disappearance, The GSC troops withdrew from the area and were replaced with these security robots."
"Well, thanks to that, we can sneak in here," Momoi replied proudly. "But..." Momoi hesitated for a second, but quickly gave an enthusiastic smile. "Himari-senpai told me that 'It might be something like the sewers of the ages, a place where things long forgotten by Kivotos gather."
"Himari-senpai? The beautiful girl in a wheelchair who leads Veritas?" Momoi asked again. "But even she uses the word 'Might,' so...are we sure what is in here?"
"Himari would say, 'I am a beautiful Sickly Girl' or 'Genius Hacker'!" Itsuki added. "But yeah, she is the smartest person in Millennium, so if she says something like that..." Itsuki stared at Momoi.
"Don't stare at me like that, Fuwa," Momoi complained. "Place your trust in me!"
"You haven't explained why you thought the is here," Itsuki pointed out.
"I hope I am wrong, but..." Midori raised her hand, then asked her twin sister in a serious tone, "Could the reason you said that the is here because you heard that this is a place where 'Things long forgotten by Kivotos gather'? Did you bring us here just based on that?"
"No! Of course not!" Momoi replied, clearly offended. Then she added, "I asked Veritas, you know. They told me the coordinates of where 's usage was last confirmed."
"And...that is where?" Itsuki asked, still not believing the blond-haired first-year.
"They say they are in a place not found on normal maps," Momoi answered proudly.
"So you concluded it is here," Itsuki finally understood. "Well, I will follow your decision. I didn't even know what this is."
"Itsuki-san, Yuzu-chan didn't tell you?" Midori asked.
Itsuki shook his head.
"I thought if you hung around with Yuzu so much, you would know about it," Momoi questioned. "Aren't you two best buddies?"
"Do you believe Yuzu will make small talk like that?" Itsuki asked back.
Momoi and Midori looked at each other and nodded in understanding.
"Anyway! Believe me! If we can find and read the , the ultimate secret guide to make ultimate game, then we should be able to make the best game ever!" Momoi stood, raising her hand to the sky and then looked at the other two. "Do you believe in me?"
There was silence. Suddenly, Itsuki and Midori stood and pulled out their weapons. It was then that Momoi realized that her outburst had invited the security robots to surround them.
"Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!" "Intruder alert!"
"God damn it, Momoi!" Itsuki cursed, and then he began to shoot his pair of black and white Desert Eagles, downing the security robots left and right. Midori was already helping, shooting Itsuki's blind side with her green H&K G3SG/1. Momoi, meanwhile, was a bit surprised but soon took out her own weapon, a bright red H&K G3A3.
"Go north, I see a good place to hide!" Itsuki directed. "You two go first, I will cover you!"
The twins followed Itsuki's lead. They ran towards the fallen building in the north while covering Itsuki's back, who walked backward, covering the twins. It was thankfully near enough and the moment they were in the building, they hid behind the pillars of the old building.
However, the security robots were still swarming them.
"Hold the line for a little bit," Itsuki ordered.
"Aye, sir!" "Yes, Itsuki-san!" The twins replied.
Itsuki pulled out a black belt buckle from his jacket pocket and a gun trigger without a muzzle.
"What will you do with a gun like that?" Momoi, who peeked at Itsuki, asked curiously.
"Focus!" Itsuki called.
The Vice President of Seminar put the belt buckle on his waist. Then a voice boomed out from the device, "Desire Driver!" A strap materialized, encircling Itsuki's midsection.
Itsuki noticed a wolf emblem in the center of the buckle. He then proceeded to slide a muzzle-less gun into the buckle's left side, and the voice spoke once more, "SET!"
Itsuki then gestured a finger gun with his left hand, pointing it towards the sky, "Henshin!" he said as the stylized words 'Bullet' emblazoned behind him. He then pulled the trigger on his muzzle-less gun and the belt shouted, "BULLET! Ready, FIGHT!"
The stylized words were then shot one bullet to the front, defeating the security robot on its way, before coming back. Itsuki punched the bullet and suddenly his body was now enveloped in an armor.
His head was covered with a wolf-shaped helmet. While his basic armor was black, his torso was covered in dark blue armor. Itsuki pulled out a pair of guns out of nowhere and then he dashed towards the security bots.
Two guns, each blasting orange rounds at the security robots around him. Itsuki moved with agility and easily downed several robots. A pair of robots jumped toward Itsuki and were about to catch him, but Itsuki used his gun as a propeller to dodge the robots before shooting their head too. The twins looked at the vice president in awe. The enemies were slowly diminished, but soon they could see enforcement had come, more robots but of a different type.
Itsuki quickly combined his pair of guns into one, forming a weapon that looked like a rifle. Then he pulled out the muzzle-less gun on his belt and combined that too.
"Bullet!" The weapon announced as a ball of energy gathered. Then Itsuki pulled the trigger. "BULLET TACTICAL BLAST!"
The ball of energy then was launched towards the reinforcement and they were soon destroyed in a fiery explosion.
Midori and Momoi looked surprised and confused. Itsuki walked towards the twins, and when his transformation was undone, the young man was smiling.
"Wow! what an amazing explosion," He said cheerfully. "I hope I can do that again."
It was then the Saiba Twins realized that maybe their vice president liked explosions too much.

Bullet Form is Vulcan's main form accessed by using the Bullet Raise Buckle on the right-hand slot of the Desire Driver. It can also be accessed by revolving it to reverse form. This is the form Fuwa had access to when he got his hands on the Desire Driver. In this form, the armor is equipped with the Bullet Shotriser.
This armor is based on Kamen Rider Vulcan's (Fuwa Isamu, Kamen Rider Zero One) Shooting Wolf form.
Author Note: I will admit, I get distracted from Connecting Hope. This story was written with the same intention as Connecting Hope, however. "I want to hug Arisu's in her darkest moment. So I put myself on the world of Kivotos, give him Kamen Rider power and then run with it."
