Chapter 01 Episode 05: The Missing Pieces

"I thought getting permission from Sensei would lessen the security!" Momoi shouted in frustration as her gun sprayed bullets toward the enemies, "Isn't their resistance getting more intense?!"

Itsuki reloaded his twin Desert Eagle, Hayate, and Nagi, before firing them at the enemies. But suddenly, a mortar was shot towards the group.

"Momoi! Move!" Itsuki shouted as he jumped and tackled Momoi.

BOOM

The mortar missed the Game Development Club. When the dust and smoke cleared, Yuzu asked, "Is everyone okay?"

"I am fine," Midori answered, "But they have more firepower than I thought," she looked at the group of robots with massive weapons attached to their arms. It's clear they were about to shoot another mortar.

"Well then, Arisu-chan!" Momoi called, "Take care of them!"

Arisu aimed her giant weapon, "Today, my role is light attribute AoE DPS," she said while preparing her railgun, "Annihilating the monsters in the front. Light, heed my call!" Arisu pulled the trigger, unleashing an intense energy beam from her railgun.

BOOM

Most of the robots were destroyed.

"Wow! It worked!" Momoi cheered.

"Arisu-chan, that was amazing!" Midori agreed.

"But the second wave is coming," Yuzu warned.

"We can't stand here any longer. Let's retreat! go to that building yesterday!" Itsuki shouted.

"Roger!" Momoi, Midori, and Yuzu answered Itsuki. Arisu followed behind the group.

The security robots took time to gather themselves. Still, as Itsuki and the game Development Club ran towards the nearby building, they shot the remaining enemies. When they finally reached the building, they jumped over the barricade and hid.

"Arisu, you done recharging?" Itsuki asked.

"Yes, sir~!" Arisu cheerfully replied.

"Shot the remaining enemies!" Itsuki ordered.

Once again, Arisu aimed and then shouted, "Light, Heed my call!" and then pulled the railgun's trigger.

BOOM

Many robots were destroyed once again.

"That should be the last of them," Itsuki said, "We should rest here."

Momoi and Midori released their heavy breath, clearly exhausted.

"We actually made it!" Midori said.

"Entry successful, mission cleared. as expected of my commander!" Arisu patter Itsuki's shoulder.

"Hey, hey! Maybe we are actually super strong? you think we could win in combat against C&C and other schools?" Momoi asked.

"Don't get too confident," Itsuki warned Momoi, "They are just cheap security bots. Not even considered high spec."

"I think C&C will be impossible, but yeah, I surprised myself," Midori added.

"I think it is thanks to Itsuki-kun and Arisu-chan," Yuzu said, "I feel more safe when Itsuki-kun is here."

"Anyway, does anyone still have ammo?" Itsuki asked.

The battle to enter ruin was intense, and when they entered this building, they had used a lot of ammo. Arisu herself looked at her giant weapon.

"The battery is flashing...does that mean I don't have enough mana?" Arisu asked.

"Maybe. It looks like it will only hold for one last shot," Yuzu checked.

"Then, let's avoid combat as much as possible," Midori suggested.

"Come on then, we may find something if we can the place where we found Arisu," Itsuki looked around and then walked deeper toward the building. The group followed.

The creepy hallway, the cracked wall. The girls felt uneasy, but Itsuki led them with certainty. Arisu was the most worried, tho.

"What is this place?" Arisu asked, "Ah..."She suddenly stopped."

"Arisu, is something wrong?" Momoi asked.

Itsuki looked back. He approached Arisu.

"I don't know, but the scenery feels vaguely familiar..." Arisu looked toward Itsuki, "Would you mind if we go this way?" Arisu pointed in another direction.

"This is where we found you," Itsuki nodded, "Maybe you know this building better than us."

Arisu nodded and then started walking. The group followed their youngest member.

"Itsuki-san, this doesn't feel like 'knowing,' but rather...I can feel a save data remaining," Arisu explained, "It's almost like knowing what to do without doing tutorial first...or like playing a game you restarted countless times before..."

And then they stopped. In an expansive room, they find a massive computer console attached to the room. The light flickered faintly.

"Ah, there is a computer over there," Midori said, confused.

"It's huge," Momoi added.

Then, when Arisu touched the computer, the screen flickered on.

[Welcome to the Divi:Sion System. Please input the item you are looking for.]

"Divi:Sion System...?" Itsuki read the words from the screen.

Arisu typed on the keyboard.

"Item you are looking for..." Yuzu wondered.

"Oh, what a user-friendly design!" Momoi excitedly approached, "Should we search for the ?"

"Wait! Isn't it a bit suspicious? also, it told us "Welcome," so does that mean..." Midori, the more cautious of the twins, tries to stop her twin. But Arisu already typed on the keyboard.

" ..." She spelled.

"Ah, something popped up!" Momoi excitedly said, pointing at the screen.

[# #%$ #$]

"It broke! Arisu! what did you type?" Momoi was shocked.

"Calm down!" Itsuki said as she flicked Momoi's forehead.

[Are you AL-15?] the screen asked.

The group is looking at the screen, bewildered.

"Arisu is Arisu," Arisu answered.

"No, Arisu," Itsuki gently said, "That probably is your original name. We find you in this building, remember?"

"Arisu can't remember," Arisu said in confusion.

[Voice recognized. Qualifications confirmed. Welcome home, AL-15.]

"It has voice recognition?" Midori asked in surprise.

"My true name..." Arisu pondered for a while before asking again, "Do you know anything about AL-15?"

The screen flickered once again and finally answered, [That is correct...#$%$$#]

"Uh...is that normal?" Yuzu asked.

"We had no idea," Itsuki said, "But that's definitely not normal."

[Emergency Situation occured. Power limit reached. will delete all files simultaneously while shutting down. 51 seconds remaining.]

"Wait, no!" Momoi shouted, "We didn't get them yet."

"Computer, can you back up your files in another storage device?"

[Is that what you seek? YES/NO]

"Yes!" Arisu shouted in reply, her hand touching the computer.

[Confirmation complete. Code: Play...human. Understood, reference registration library number 193. Input your storage device in 10 seconds.]

Suddenly, a robotic arm behind the giant computer moved. And then a red light bathed the room.

[Optimal storage device has been found. One Raise Buckle.]

Itsuki was confused but soon took out the raised buckle given by Aruto. It contains a storage device, but isn't its function more for information gathering? But Itsuki had no choice as the robotic arm took the Raise Buckle from his hand and put it into the computer.

Suddenly, a light engulfs Itsuki. Arisu and other Game Development Clubs screamed. And then, when the light faded, Itsuki's Raise buckle changed.

The robotic arm returned the Raise buckle to Itsuki.

[Due to the amount of information, the raise buckle gained new power.] The screen said, [Congratulations, you are now the proud owner of Assault Raise Buckle.] After that, the screen faded to black.

"Assault Raise Buckle?" Itsuki looked at his hand.

"Whatever! Anyway, we got inside that, right?"Momoi asked.

"Yes...probably," Itsuki wasn't sure.

"Yeaa!" Momoi cheered.

"Nee-chan! Don't shout too loud!" Midori clasped her hand over her twin's mouth.

But it was too late. Suddenly, security robots poured into the room.

"We should retreat!" Itsuki ordered.

Arisu nodded and then pointed her railgun, "Light, heed my ca-" She tried to pull the trigger, but then the railgun's battery flashed. And with one last squish, Arisu shot her railgun and made a hole in the wall.

However, that attracts even more security robots.

"Run!" Itsuki shouted and then pushed Arisu. Momoi and Midori followed the youngest clubmates. Yuzu was the last.

Itsuki shot at the security robots, destroying some of them. As they ran and dodged the hail of bullets, Itsuki finally pulled out his Desire Driver.

"Set!" The Driver declared as he inserted the Bullet Raise Buckle into the Driver.

"Henshin!" Itsuki declared.

"BULLET! READY, FIGHT!" The Desire Driver announced after Itsuki pulled the trigger on the Bullet Raise Buckle.

His armor quickly formed on his body. With his new guns, Itsuki shot at the enemies surrounding them. Unfortunately, the enemies kept coming.

Then Yuzu tripped. One robot approached and was about to attack Yuzu. Itsuki's mind raced, and finally, he used the second raise buckle.

"Set!" once again, the belt declared. Itsuki then pushed the red button on the Assault Raise Buckle.

"Dual On! Get Ready for Bullet! Assault!" The Driver declared as another set of armor attached to his legs.

He jumped and then kicked the closest robots away from Yuzu. Yuzu looked up at Itsuki, who gave her a thumbs-up before he stood upright and looked around. Then he pushed the hidden button at the top of the Desire Driver and rotated it.

"Revolve ON!" The Driver declared again as a circular machinery appeared around Itsuki's body. Then, mysteriously, the machine rotated Itsuki's body 180 degrees, putting the armor on his upper half into the bottom half and vice versa.

It was then that the wolf's eyes in his helmet suddenly turned red. It was also then that Itsuki turned into a beast. His upper armor was suddenly covered in blue spikes, and the claw in his forearm armor extended.

"Graaaagh!" like a wild wolf, Itsuki began to attack. His claws ripped the robots quickly like paper. The security robots fell one by one.

Yuzu can only look in awe. But then she realized this wasn't Itsuki. This fighting style, the wild moves he executed, and how he destroyed the robots. This wasn't Itsuki. This person is Beast!

And then, Momoi and Midori helped Yuzu stand up.

"What happened?" Midori asked.

"That wasn't Itsuki, wasn't he?" Momoi asked.

"Perhaps the commander has gone berserk?" Arisu added.

The security robots that were so numerous they caused problems for the Game Development Club were now getting defeated and destroyed left and right. Head flying, arms cut, legs broken. If they weren't robots, what the girls see would fit for a horror movie. Finally, the Kamen Rider destroyed the last of the security robot.

Then Itsuki roared and ran towards Momoi, Midori, Arisu, and Yuzu. His claw raised.

"Commander?" Arisu approached Itsuki, "Please calm down, commander!"

But Arisu's voice was unheard. Itsuki ran towards the girl. In a panic, Midori, Momoi, and Yuzu pulled the trigger in their gun, emptying their bullets. Yet, it has no effect. Itsuki kept approaching them. Until Arisu stands between Itsuki and the rest.

"Commander! Snap out of it!" Arisu pleaded.

A loud 'clank' sound can be heard as Itsuki is hit with Arisu's giant railgun. The wolf's eyes returned to Itsuki's helmet's standard blue color. He fell on his back, and his transformation was canceled.

Arisu approached Itsuki.

"Commander?" She called.

"Arisu?"

Midori and Momoi run toward Itsuki. Arisu quickly checked his condition. Yuzu reloaded her gun, just in case.

"Itsuki-kun! Itsuki-kun!" Momoi shook Itsuki's body. Itsuki opened his eyes weakly.

"Arisu hit commander pretty hard," Arisu looked guilty.

Midori hugged Arisu, "But you save us!" she smiled at Arisu.

Itsuki sit upright, "What happened...? My memories kinda blurry."

"Commander lost self," Arisu explained, "Armor changed shape, and commander attacked robots."

"Was that because of the new Raise Buckle?" Itsuki questioned.

The question was left unanswered, however, when Yuzu suddenly hugged Itsuki, tears and snot on her face.

"Itsuki-kun stupid! don't scare me again!" Yuzu shouted.

"O-oi, Yuzu..." Itsuki was embarrassed.

"Commander needs to be punished!" Arisu declared.

"Yes, Yes!" Midori and Momoi said in unison.

Itsuki smiled and nodded, "I will accept any punishment."

The girls then approached and, much to Itsuki's bewilderment, hugged the older boy. Itsuki was embarrassed, yes, but deep inside, his heart felt warm. And then Itsuki sighed.

"Anyway... let's go home," Itsuki finally said.

The Game Development Club nodded. Arisu helped Itsuki stand.

"Commander needs to recover!" Arisu ordered as she suddenly carried Itsuki on her arm. It was awkward since she was smaller than Itsuki. Regardless, Arisu preserved on.

"Let us retreat you at your house!" Midori declared.

Itsuki sighed but finally nodded. The Game Development Club then walked home. Arisu carried Itsuki the whole time.

Divi:Sion finally appeared, and secretly, it put something inside the Assault Raise Buckle. How will The Game Development Club deal with Itsuki's new 'wild side'?
