A Day After They Met King Boo
"M… M… aaagh, I can't remember who that is…" King Boo grumbled.
"Might as well stop while you're ahead. Wouldn't want to hurt yourself." Medusa said.
"Bah, I've had a few headaches. I'm totally fine." King Boo waved it off before looking at Medusa. "That said, something about you is… odd."
"Is it my snake hair that bugs you?"
"No, it's the baby on board. Why are you holding it like that? You don't seem the type of person who'd hold it."
"I don't mind it. It feels nice to carry something like a child. You got a problem?"
King Boo blinked. "...Riiiight." He turned around.
"I'm picking up on the temperature cooling." Locus said. "I've a feeling we're heading into a cooler climate."
"Not only that, but I'm picking up on a lot of radiation… the hell is going on?" Felix wondered.
"Cooler climate with radiation? I've a feeling we're entering an area that never got out of a nuclear winter." Dimentio said as they approached a sign.
"Now entering: Zuteregeon Icelands"
"Or perhaps we're entering an ice world with Zuteregeon." Dry Bowser said.
"Zuter what? Never heard of it." King Boo said.
"See that acid on Acidtail? He was just an old skeleton before our mysterious V person made a new element. All they did was mixed together some sulfuric acid with a Ztar. It was enough to make a gooey green substance that can reanimate the dead while also melting anything within milliseconds." Dry Bowser explained.
"Reanimating the dead but melting anything else within seconds? Hmm…" King Boo rubbed his ghostly chin. "Sounds like a good horror movie if you ask me."
Note to self, make sure none of the heroes get it because I'm pretty sure they won't hesitate to use it on me. Dimentio thought, slightly horrified by the realization.
World 5-1: Chilly Atmosphere
BGM: Icecrown (World of Warcraft)
The gang walked/floated through the snow, seeing a few snow covered trees amongst some snowy mountains in the distance They saw a few Snow Pokeys wander around, but these Snow Pokeys had Zutergeon plastered all over them, proceeding to slide around in Zuteregeon covered snow.
"We could take some sampling of this and use it for our own." King Boo said. "Ha! Imagine if my Boos take some of this, we could definitely mess with Jade in that case."
"Melt her? One less worry to deal with." Dimentio said. "...Is what I would say, but I've seen how JINXY operates. One of them is a psychic with a split personality. Those two'd definitely be on the war path… don't get me started on Nyx and Iris…"
"Bah, let 'em get upset. Not like they'll bring a melted body back to the land of the living." King Boo waved it off.
I implore you… beware of 1-Ups… Dimentio thought, recalling how everyone was snagging a 1-Up left and right before Dark Ruby reared her ugly head. Where did they all come from anyway?
As they continued, they came across a frozen lake, where underneath was nothing but acid. A few Zuteregeon-covered Snifits were ice skating around to their heart's content.
"Maybe Zuteregeon is more than just extremely corrosive acid. Maybe it's a brainwashing thing." Felix said as he heard a low snarl from Acidtail. "I said "maybe"!"
"Let's hope you are right." Acidtail mumbled as they walked over the ice, although Dimentio teleported away and walked around it, noticing a few Mr. Zuteregeon Blizzards glaring at him.
"...Aheheheh… maybe the ice is better…" He said as he teleported back as the ice underneath them started to crack.
"Oh, the joys of being a Boo." King Boo chuckled as everyone else quickly ran away and jumped to the other side as the ice shattered as the Snifits went under, melting them from within.
"I'm chalking that up to Zuteregeon-resistant clothing." Locus said.
"Ya think?" Felix shook his head.
"Wait a minute, you're a goddess. Wouldn't you be resistant to this stuff?" Dry Bowser asked.
"Ahem." Medusa pointed to the Psycho Piranha who casually waved its leaf.
"Ah, right. Baby on board."
The group continued to walk forward, seeing the Zuteregeon becoming more and more potent through the ice, giving an eerie glow from within the ice until they came across a cave entrance.
"Soooo, we're spelunking now?" Felix asked.
"Do you see any other way around?" Locus asked.
"Considering we just waltzed right up to a mountain, no!"
"Then let's head in." Locus said as they walked through the ice cave, though Acidtail decided to fly around.
World 5-2: Zuteregeon Icicle Cave
Dry Bowser took the lead, tearing off his arm socket and blew fire into it to act as a torch as they went through the cave. The flame bounced off the crystalized walls, lighting up the Zuteregeon Ice as some Zuteregeon Swoops hung above the ceiling.
They came into a large room of the cave, where icicles hung above them. The heat from Dry Bowser's flames was enough to cause them to slightly melt, yet not enough for the Zuteregeon to drip on them.
A few Frost Piranhas danced around some frozen Warp Pipes, though one had a sickly green color to it, indicating that it was a Zuteregeon Piranha Plant. "I wonder if that has more potency than a Putrid Piranha…" Dimentio wondered.
"Would you like to find out?" King Boo smirked sinisterly.
"Aheheheh… no!"
"Pussy." King Boo floated off.
"Excuse you?" Dimentio glared as they walked further into the cave, where the glow of the flames was enough to make the ice shine like diamonds. Acidic diamonds that can melt you instantly, but nonetheless… they shined like diamonds.
The Psycho Piranha looked at the diamond-like crystal walls in awe, reaching out to touch it as Medusa couldn't help but chuckle, gently rubbing its head as they continued to walk through the cave, soon finding a pool full of acid near a Zuteregeon-fall.
"There's something you don't see every day." Locus said.
"Acid falls… that's a new one." Felix said as they walked around the pool where a Zuteregeon Blaargh came out of it to greet them, along with a Zu-Maargh breaching out of the pool, along with a few Fish Bones.
They walked through another hallway filled with glistening icy diamonds… and then they were met with a blizzard, but not only that, they were greeted by a beautiful ice palace standing proudly against a sea of Zuteregeon, and some trees and Zuteregeon flowers for decoration as well.
"An ice palace in the middle of this acid filled wasteland?" Medusa wondered.
"Why not?" King Boo chuckled as they walked further along to spot a sign.
"Emperor Brr's Palace"
"Emperor Brrr? The hell kind of name is that?" Felix wondered as Dry Bowser reattached his arm, blowing out the fire as they went inside.
World 5-3: Ice Cold Royalty
The group walked inside of the ice palace, noticing that the furniture was coated in ice, the pillars were simply ice as the windows were frosty. They continued on as they would see pictures that were frozen over.
"Wah!" Dimentio yelped, nearly slipping on a patch of ice.
The floor was a bit slippery as well.
They walked up the snowy stairs and walked through some hallways, seeing nothing but empty rooms, but there was also a bedroom with a blanket of snow on top of it as they continued into the throne room, where they would see a king sitting in the throne, completely frozen over.
The king had ice blue hair and sporting a goatee, he had crystal blue robes and wore a simple purple cape.
"Poor guy didn't stand a chance." Locus said.
Suddenly, his eyes opened through the ice. The sclera were crystalized, his irises yellow while his pupils were red. His ice prison shattered as they prepared for battle as the king walked out of his throne, conjuring up an ice scepter.
…And then he yawned.
"Yaaaawn… mornin'..."
"Mornin'?" Felix asked in bewilderment.
"I must've overslept. I tend to do that…" He chuckled, rubbing his eyes as he stretched. "So, I am Emperor Brrr. Welcome to my humble abode."
"I thought I recognized you." King Boo said. "You were the one who ruled over Hoarfrost Highlands for centuries."
"King Boo? Is that you? You've definitely changed… new contacts, I presume?"
"Contacts? Do I look like a contact-wearing Boo to you? Why would a ghost even wear 'em anyway?"
"Fair point." He chuckled.
"Where are your subjects? Where's your family? I know you Hoarfrostians have a knack for long lifespans that can last for eons!"
"You can thank that scientist who came by centuries ago. She used the Zeteur whatever it's called as a science experiment. It went wrong and it proceeded to coat my kingdom into an acidic nightmare. Not only that, but… the acid got into everyone's systems when the food was contaminated by it. All our Snow Bunnies, our ice cream cakes, our Hoarfrost burgers… everything was contaminated by it. You can figure out the rest."
"Well, surely you would have come up with a solution, right?" King Boo asked.
"As far as we know, Zuteregeon is permanent and will never go away. So my son thought of an idea. He goes to find another planet in the solar system and when he finds a suitable location, he'll come back and we'll evacuate, where we will hopefully rebuild our society."
"That's good! So, any luck?"
"Last I heard, my son said he found a galaxy called Freezeflame Galaxy and decided to build a village there to kickstart it. I haven't heard from him since… I hope he's okay."
"And who is this son of yours, your majesty?" Dimentio asked.
"Baron Brr."
"I'm sure your son is doing alright for himself. Space travel is slow, so he might be on his way back." Medusa said.
"Yeah, you're probably right." The Emperor chuckled before turning to Dry Bowser. "And who are you?"
"Emperor Bowser!"
Emperor Brr frowned. "Oh… it's you. I'm glad your army didn't come to take over the Hoarfrost Highlands. After all, our people are peaceful but we won't shy away from combat. We have heard of what happened to the City of Jannah after all… we were prepared to fight. Luckily, none of your army came."
"I guess that's a good thing…" He mumbled.
"I know very well that I cannot best you in a fight. My anger is more reserved toward that female scientist and that rotten assistant that let it happen."
"M… M… was it Mocha…? Noooo…" King Boo scratched his head.
"Show me what you got. I want to see this power for myself." Dry Bowser said. "Are you a magician?"
"You can say that."
King Boo smirked. "Then how about you face a fellow magician?" He pushed Dimentio forward. "All yours."
"Well, I wouldn't mind showing off a bit…" Dimentio chuckled.

BGM: Dirty & Beauty - Kirby: Triple Deluxe (GaMetal)
Snowflakes formed around Emperor Brr as his eyes glowed as a thin mist surrounded him.
"Allow me to demonstrate."
Ice Cold Leader - Emperor Brr
Emperor Brr patted the ground with his scepter as the ground underneath Dimentio changed, his shoes frosting over as Dimentio chuckled, summoning his Keyblade and pointing it at him.
"Too bad this will be a wash for you." Dimentio said as he used a Firaga spell, but he conjured up a snowflake that deflected the Firaga. "What?!" He jumped to the side.
"We Hoarfrostians have a resistance to fire. Unlike most people, it doesn't burn us." He said as he threw the snowflakes at Dimentio, acting like sawblades as Dimentio quickly ducked for cover as he quickly snapped his fingers as an explosion struck Emperor Brr, but he simply shrugged it off.
Just had to make sure… He thought as he proceeded to clone himself before they all rushed at him.
Emperor Brr quickly used his scepter to vault over the Dimentio clones, and while in midair, he snapped his fingers as ice cold lightning struck Dimentio, covering him completely in hoarfrost. He then turned around and threw down snowflakes that morphed into Ice Chomps that charged at Dimentio.
Dimentio shook it off as he teleported away, appearing next to the Emperor as he quickly unleashed an Explosive Ars Arcanum, knocking the Emperor up high as he snapped his fingers as pillars of light came down and struck the Emperor, but he swiftly conjured a snowflake mirror and directed the light back at Dimentio.
"Gah!" He yelped, feeling it pierce his body as he took a step back with a wince. So that's how the gamer girl felt… eh, I'm not sorry!
Emperor Brr threw his scepter in the air, as it proceeded to create a blizzard as Emperor Brr then ran through. Dimentio did the same as he swung his Keyblade.
CLANG!
Dimentio looked on in surprise as Emperor Brr had icicles protruding out of his arms. They swiftly clashed against each other until Dimentio swiftly sweep kicked him and then slid under him, creating a pillar of light that rose up and struck him from beneath, then Dimentio teleported, quickly unleashing a rainbow-like Thundaga and hit him in the head.
Emperor Brr brushed it off as he calmly conjured up snow cannons that fired snowflake iceballs. Dimentio quickly avoided them as the iceballs hit the walls, causing them to explode and let out a faint aurora above them.
"Huh?" Dimentio wondered as they continued to swing their weapons in the blizzard until Emperor Brr jumped up and caught the scepter, firing a mist directly at Dimentio that covered his face as he then landed, then charged at the jester and smacked him in the gut, only he disappeared.
"Hello~!" Dimentio waved, having placed a magical landmine underneath the emperor as it exploded into light and covered him, then he used Strike Raid, which he teleported away and caught the Keyblade after it cut through the Emperor.
"Alright, I have seen enough." Dry Bowser said.
"Aw, it was getting good." Dimentio said as Emperor Brr casually tapped the ground to dismiss the mist.
End BGM
"I presume that my combat prowess is enough?" Emperor Brr asked.
"You're in."
"Excellent." Emperor Brr walked toward them, before shoulder bumping the undead Koopa. "I will warn you though… if you even think about making my kind extinct, I won't hesitate to retaliate."
"Very well." Dry Bowser chuckled as they walked out of the castle and walked away, where they would see yet another lab in the distance.
"Another lab." Locus said.
"I've been meaning to tear it down since that day, but I never got around to it." The Emperor mumbled.
"Let's see if we can't discover any more notes from our friends." Medusa said as they walked into the lab, discovering the lab had since frozen over and everything was encased in ice.
However, a little bit of thawing was enough to free the notes from the ice prison.
"Let's see what we got." Locus said, taking a look.
"Shit… what have I done? I thought that science experiment with the Zuteregeon would be enough to satisfy the Hoarfrostians, but apparently I've learned the hard way that the element doesn't go away, even if it had eaten away at anything. I thought if my assistant could freeze the Zuteregeon, it'd be frozen solid and it'd stop from contaminating everything.
Uuuuh… fun fact! Did you know that Zuteregeon can freely travel in cold temperatures? It flows like water in the ice and snow. Not only that, but ice can bond with this element, meaning it won't disintegrate it and can make this cool effect that makes it sparkle! As an experiment, I added some dry ice to the element and it makes an airborne particle effect. It's pretty to look at but you also get acidic snowflakes… whoops.
Unfortunately, the whole area is lost. It's a contaminated zone. But that is the laws of science, I'm afraid. Eh… what's one doomed race gonna do? It won't change a thing, honestly. These Hoarfrostians had a good run."
A growl escaped Emperor Brr's lips, having an annoyed expression on his face with a slight eyebrow twitch.
"Regardless, it's a scientific breakthrough that was exciting to discover! I can't wait to see what Zuteregeon does next! - V"
"Alright, let's see what M gives us." Felix said, picking up the frozen note.
"Dammit, I knew this was a bad idea. I knew the Zuteregeon would cause catastrophe the moment we discovered it plays well with ice. I told her we should stop, but she wanted to see how further we'd go. I love her as a friend, but… I wish she'd listen to me. I wish she didn't tune anything out when she's in science mode.
I'm responsible for this extinction… this is going to weigh down on my conscience for a long time… oooh, I'm so sorry. Your snow dogs were so cute! - M"
"M… M… come on, this shouldn't be so hard…" King Boo mumbled. "Mariachi… Mylee… Morticia… My… Myrona… Myraka…"
A lightbulb went off over King Boo. "AHA! That's it! M is Myra!"
"Myra?" Dry Bowser looked intrigued.
BGM: Just Wondering (Kingdom Hearts: Re:Chain of Memories)
"Yes. Myra Shadowheart. She was the last descendant of the Shadow Tribe. She helped out with that Dark Star incident. …The original one. She was actually going to be made the Royal Magician of the Mushroom Kingdom. A position that has never been filled since as it turns out, she vanished."
"Really? That is… actually impressive. I remember the affects of that thing waking up… not every day you see the sky go dark when it was around late morning."
"Indeed." King Boo nodded. "She had these artifacts called the Crystal Stars, you see. I felt… something inside one of them. Powerful, mischievous… dark…"
"Interesting." Medusa mused. "What would you say this Myra is then?"
"About the equivalent of those dumb plumbers in her time… only way more powerful. When she was at my domain, Myra and her scientist friend, whose name escapes me at the moment got attacked by that Undead Dragon that was in the lake. She took that dang thing out in four attacks…"

Flashback!
BGM: Fight Against a Somewhat Stronger Monster (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)
Zombone roared directly at Myra, who stood bravely before it after dodging one of his attacks.
Myra had shoulder length straight black hair and bright magenta eyes. She wore a black cloak with purple rings around the sleeves and a cracked purple heart woven around the back. She wore a purple tunic with a white undershirt underneath the cloak. She wore transparent white leggings reached the bottom of her thighs and black leather boots. There was also a golden chain necklace around her neck.
She held a staff that held an Amethyst Star. The staff was silver in color with a purple wrapping with the Star acting as the head of the staff and an Amethyst on the other end.
"Okay. My turn." Myra said as the staff glowed brightly with darkness swirling in her other hand.
"Dark Diamond Saw!" She called out, unleashing a darkened equivalent of Diamond Saw, striking the Zombone with the shadowy blizzard.
"Aurora Darkness!" She unleashed a shadowy equivalent of Aurora Flash, raining down dark lasers that pierced through Zombone.
Zombone snarled and unleashed a powerful Blast, but Myra put up a shadow force field to block it.
"Shadow Comet." She said quietly, unleashing a powerful dark comet that acted very similar to Dark Star, striking Zombone with enough force to send a shockwave.
Zombone let out a weakened roar, looking like it was about to give in at any moment.
"Let me put you out of your misery." Myra said, raising her staff up high to conjure up a purple spiny shell.
"Fly, my beautiful darling."
The purple shell sprouted it's wings, flying high into the sky as it dive bombed at Zombone. It didn't even bother to circle around it as it slammed straight into it, unleashing a powerful purple explosion. The radius was enough to stop just mere feet from Myra's face before it dissipated, as Zombone had completely evaporated upon the explosion, including a few trees and rocks.
In fact, there was a new crater lying there.

"Well… at least they have a new pond to play with."
"All because I wanted to get that gem…" Myra sighed as she walked over, kneeling down to collect it.
"Hang on a moment. Something about this gem is… rubbing me the wrong way."
"Aww, relax. You're just a little paranoid."
"A little?"
Myra picked it up. "This will look great as a cute accessory for King Boo."
"Oh thank the ghouls that you're okay!" A voice said as Myra turned to see King Boo approach. "That explosion had me a bit worried…"
"Ah, I'm okay. No need to worry!" Myra smiled. "Here, I got something for you."
"Myra, I insist that we have four eyes examine this more closely. Something about this-"
"Oh, hush. It's just a gem." Myra said as she handed King Boo the jewel. "Here, this will look great on your crown."
"Oh, you think so? Jewelry isn't normally my thing, but… hey, if you insist!"
King Boo lowered himself as Myra reached up to put the jewel inside of the crown. "There. Now you look like royalty."
"Ooooh, I don't know why, but I feel more powerful. I feel… strange…"
"Hahaha… good one."
"No no, I'm not joking. I feel… really weird. I could just be imaging it, but it feels so, soooo…"
His eyes turned purple as a perpetual shadow was cast over his eyes.
Myra backed away slowly with her face slowly turning horrified. "Your majesty…?"
"It feels so… GOOD!"
King Boo raised his stubby arms in the sky, creating dark clouds as lightning flashed in the sky.
"Heeeey, I'm back with margaritas and Pina coladas! Who wants to party and-" The more "party on" King Boo gasped in surprise. "Oh! Brother, you look different! New ghoul cut?"
"SILENCE, PEASANT!"
"Oh stars… what have I done…?!"
"I knew it! I knew there was something off about that jewel!"
Back in the present…
"I never got to thank her. She went into that lab that four eyes made and never came back out. When I went into the lab, it was empty. I admittedly got worried…"
To everyone's curiosity, King Boo's face softened as his purple eyes went back to normal.
"I hope she was okay… she was honestly very friendly, if not a bit introverted. She was honestly my first non-ghostly friend… oh… I'm sure she was fine."
"Soooo, let me get this straight. She fought a dragon and it was already dead. It couldn't have been that tough." Felix snarked.
"SILENCE!" King Boo yelled, his eyes going back to purple and his jewel crackling with electricity again. "I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO SMACK TALK MYRA IN MY PRESENCE. SO HELP ME, I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER JUST LIKE THAT CLOWN."
"Please. It may teach him humility." Locus said.
Felix sweatdropped. "Talk about bipolar…"
"Me and my brother actually respect her! …Now let's get out of here."
"His eyes turned to normal for just a moment… interesting…" Dry Bowser mused as they left the lab.
Ibuki: Myra... now that's interesting!
Deadpool: There's one half of the puzzle... now to figure out this V gal...
This whole thing that Yoshi and Cody cooked up just gets better and better.
