Centuries Ago (Before Dahlia Started a War)

BGM: In The Final (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)

Darkness covered the landscape of the Mushroom Kingdom as the Dark Star glared down at its opponents. Myra and Geno both had received heavy hits from the Dark Star, but it also had taken its fair share of hits as well.

The Dark Star let out a dark roar and fired a dark laser, but Myra swiftly used her staff to create a force field as Geno quickly transformed into a cannon and proceeded to shoot out a gigantic ball of energy, hitting the Dark Star directly.

With a sinister growl, the Dark Star created shockwaves that knocked Myra and Geno to the ground. It then proceeded to what sounded like it was mocking them. Myra slowly got up, glaring at the Dark Star before dark flames conjured in her hands as she jumped up and threw the dark fire into the Dark Star.

The Dark Star absorbed the dark flames and gave her a mocking glare as it proceeded to unleash a powerful dark laser… when suddenly the dark flames inside proceeded to stun it. It let out a dark groan.

A disc appeared in Geno's hand as he took a step back, spun around and threw the disc as the Dark Star sluggishly tried to move away, but the Geno Whirl slammed into it, causing the Dark Star to groan in agony.

"Star Spirits… NOW!" Myra yelled as the Star Spirits surrounded the Dark Star.

"All together now!" Eldstar said as they conjured up energy and proceeded to fire into the Dark Star, causing it to growl and scream as Myra raised her staff and fired a beam of purple light into it, and then Geno unleashed Geno Blast, where a massive beam of light slammed into the Dark Star.

"Rrrrgh!"

Lemony walked into the scene, absolutely annoyed. "I don't appreciate you locking me in my room, you disgusting parasite!" She clasped her hands together. "So now I'm going to return the favor ten fold!"

Energy came out of Lemony's hands as she raised them up, creating a powerful energy shield with the help of the others, where it surrounded the Dark Star as it slowly closed its eyes, desperately trying to fight its way out, until it lay dormant.

Lemony stomped her foot on the ground, where a massive sinkhole emerged from underneath them as they shoved the Dark Star inside, then Lemony snapped her fingers as the ground covered itself up, sealing it for good as the dark clouds disappeared.

"Good riddance." Lemony said.

Myra fell on her hands and knees, panting. "We did it…" She said as a hand was offered to her. She looked up to see Geno smiling, offering his hand.

"Stand proudly. We won this battle."

"May the Dark Star never be used again for evil." Eldstar said. "It will lay dormant there forever. Only the power of Princess Lemony's bloodline may unseal it."

"And here's hoping that never happens." Lemony said.

"Agreed." Myra said, letting out an exhausted groan. "Phew… that was a hell of a fight."

"Indeed. Now the Mushroom Kingdom will prosper again." Geno said. "I will now take my leave. Farewell, Princess Lemony and Myra. May you have good fortune in your life."

"Thanks Geno." Myra smiled as the trio hugged before Geno took off.

"So… now what?" Lemony asked.

"I have no idea… I still need answers over who I am, specifically." Myra said, looking off into the horizon toward Toad Town.

"If I may…" Eldstar approached. "We actually know who you truly are?"

Myra turned her head in surprise. "Wait, you do?"

"Indeed." Misstar nodded. "You will find your answers in the Shadow Kingdom."

"The Shadow Kingdom?" Lemony asked. "I've heard about that… but I thought it was something you've heard of in fairy tales."

"Is that what the Shadow Kingdom had been turned into? A fairy tale? Disgusting…" Skolar shook his body.

"Myra, you will find who you truly are at the Shadow Kingdom. Have you heard of a place called Rogueport?" Muskular asked.

"Not really…"

"I thought not. Rogueport is a town far away from here, where it is simply a pirate hideout. That said, the Shadow Kingdom is simply a stone's throw away as soon as you make landfall."

"I take it you get there by ship." Myra said.

"Indeed." Eldstar nodded. "Make way to the port and travel to Rogueport. You will find your answers there."

"Okay!" Myra smiled. "You going to be fine on your own when I'm gone, princess?"

"I can handle myself, thank you very much." Lemony winked.

Myra giggled. "Alright. Just don't get into too much trouble. I could say the same for Reitoko!" She teased as she walked off.

"Oh you…" Lemony shook her head with a chuckle.

Myra went into her home, packing up for the trip ahead before making her way to the pier, finding a Toad chilling next to his boat.

"Myra? This is a surprise." The Toad said. "You leaving us?"

"I'll be back soon. I promise." She winked.

"Oh good, I was a bit worried." He chuckled. "Anyway, where you headed to?"

"Rogueport."

"Ah, Rogueport… ROGUEPORT?!" He yelled in surprise. "But that place is crawling with pirates! It's called Rogueport for a reason. That place is not for the faint of heart!"

"I'm not faint hearted. I should be okay."

"...Fair enough. Alright, I'll take you. But if I see the first line of trouble, I'm leaving. You'll be on your own. Do you understand that?"

"Perfectly."

BGM: All Aboard to Rogueport (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

"Alright, don't say I didn't warn ya." He said as he got into his boat as Myra got into the boat. "Next stop… Rogueport!"

The ship sailed off to its destination as Myra looked back at Toad Town, smiling. "I'll be back before you know it."

She turned around to look back at the ocean, where Cheep Cheeps breached out of the water and Bloopers floated at the surface, basking in the sun as one Blooper opened its eyes to look at the boat.

Myra giggled, giving it a friendly wave as the Blooper waved back before resuming what it was doing. The moment Myra turned her head to look out toward the horizon, a Cheep Chomp snagged said Blooper and disappeared into the water.

Myra decided to lay down, looking at the clouds roll on by before she closed her eyes to take a nap.

"Psst. Madam… madam!"

"Zzzz…"

"Wake up…"

"Zzzz…"

"Oi! Myra! Wake up!"

"Zzz… wha…?"

Myra woke up, sitting up and stretching as she yawned. "Must've dozed off… where are we?"

"Look toward the horizon. You see that city over there?" He asked as Myra looked toward the horizon.

"Is that…?"

"Yes ma'am! That's Rogueport."

BGM: Rogueport (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

Myra smiled. "Awesome."

The ship docked at the pier. "You sure you want me to dock here? This is the lowliest of Rogueport. If you want, I can find a way to dock at the western side. Heard that's the more friendlier-"

"Here's fine."

"Okay… but don't say I didn't warn ya about those pirates." He said as Myra hopped off the boat as she made her way through the pier before making her way into Rogueport Square, where she saw a large crowd gathering. Front and center, she saw a man about to be hung in the gallows.

"This man has been found guilty by stealing a maiden's jewelry!"

"You have to understand, I was just going to give it back to her-"

"And yet, you ran in the opposite direction! Do you have any final words to say?"

"I was just trying to get this away from potential thieves, I was going to give it ba-"

"You are a liar!" The prosecutor said as the executioner put the bag over his head and wrapped the rope around him.

"Should anyone intervene and save this man's life. Speak now." The prosecutor said as no one dared to say anything. "I thought not." He turned his head to the executioner and nodded, who pulled the lever.

Myra grimaced as the man was hung for his crime. "Disturbing…" She said as the crowd dispersed, as did she. It's in the center of town? What, is hanging folks a daily occurrence or something?

She walked toward the inn, where once she opened the door, she would already see a ragtag group of pirates fighting each other or drinking. Or in one pirate's case, he shot his fellow pirate for daring to cheat him in a card game.

"Excuse me." She said, but the pirates didn't pay her much mind. "Excuse me!"

Still no answer as she let out a sigh.

"EXCUSE ME!" She called out, causing the pirates to stop what they were doing and looked at Myra. "Um… hi."

"Arr, what do ye want, lassie?" One of the pirates asked, a little bit drunk.

"I was wondering if you knew anything about… the Shadow Kingdom?"

The pirates blinked, looking at each other before bursting out laughing. "YAR HAR HAR HAR! Ye really think a good ol' folk tale really exists? Look at this lass, she thinks she wants to visit the Shadow Kingdom!"

All the pirates continued to laugh.

"I want to know where it is."

The pirate pointed his scimitar at Myra. "If ye know what's best for ye, ye might wanna get out if ye know what's good for ye. We pirates annoy easily. Best if ye leave now."

"I want answers." Myra said, a shadowy aura surrounding her hands. "Now tell me. Where's the Shadow Kingdom?"

The pirate smirked, switching his scimitar to the flintlock and aimed it at her head. "Methinks it's time for ye to leave."

"I'm not leaving until I get my answers."

"That's too bad."

Outside of the inn…

"Hmhmhmhm~" A maiden hummed as she walked next to the inn where she heard explosions and gunshots coming from the inn, followed by screaming.

She let out a sigh. "Those pirates get more and more rambunctious each day, I swear."

Inside of the inn…

The pirates all lay on the ground, KO'd as Myra dusted her shoulder off as one of the pirates crawled away in fear. "Wh-who are ye?! Yer not of this world! Yer a demon! A DEMON! I'll do anything! Just please don't hurt me anymore!"

"Tell me where I can find the Shadow Kingdom."

"W-Well… it's just a myth… but there be a rumor that ye might find something in the sewers. There's a Warp Pipe that'll take ye in there!"

Myra smiled. "I'm glad we had this talk. Imagine that all of this could be avoided." She said as she calmly walked away, grabbing a "do not disturb" sign as she walked out and placed it over the door before walking away with a casual whistle.

Myra walked into the eastern side of Rogueport, finding the Warp Pipe in question. "Ah, here we are." She said as she climbed over the fence and then hopped into the Warp Pipe.

BGM: Rogueport Sewers (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

"Whoooooooa!" Myra yelped as she slid on her butt when the Warp Pipe ejected her. She got up and looked at the Warp Pipe, seeing that it had curved to its side on the way down. "Well, that's unusual." She said.

She dusted herself off and looked around the sewers until she walked into a doorway to see an underground civilization. She walked through, climbing over a pillar. "Is this the Shadow Kingdom?"

"Shadow Kingdom?"

A robed figure approached her. "Do not be silly, this is just an underground civilization that lives underneath Rogueport. We're considered… the safer district."

"I can… somehow believe it."

"What business do you have with the Shadow Kingdom?"

"I've heard I might find some answers of who I am."

"Hahaha… don't we all?" He chuckled. "You made a wrong turn to the Shadow Kingdom. Go the other way and go into the second Warp Pipe you see. Then keep going down from there. You'll soon run into the Shadow Kingdom."

"Alright. Thanks." Myra waved as she climbed over the downed pillar once more.

"Be careful where you're going. The Shadow Kingdom is not for the faint of heart." He warned.

Myra chuckled. "I've seen a lot of things. I think I'll be fine."

She walked back and then saw the second Warp Pipe behind a metal gate, so she climbed over a broken wall and hopped into the Warp Pipe, where she found herself deeper into the sewers. She walked down some stairs while taking care of some Gloombas that attacked her.

She found another Warp Pipe and hopped in, then slid on out as she looked around and saw a shadowy aura coming out of the doorway from a ledge.

"...Whatever's behind that door… I can sense the power behind it." She said as she climbed up and walked toward the doorway, where a message appeared in front of her.

"DANGER - A strong and powerful being lives beyond here. If you enter, you may never come out alive."

"Ah, ancient warnings… my favorite." Myra chuckled, walking through the doorway.

End BGM

She stepped inside, finding an ancient civilization before her. The intoxicating darkness would be enough to swallow and suffocate those who dared to step foot inside.

Yet to Myra, it felt like a warm hug.

"Why does this feel like I've just received a warm welcome?" She wondered to herself as she walked down the steps, finding a gigantic door in front of her. She walked toward the door in awe, nearly tripping over the steps and almost faceplanting on a pedestal, luckily, she caught herself as she looked at the pedestal with a tilted head.

It was almost as if it was inviting her to step on it. She curiously stepped on the pedestal where dark lights shot out of it and surrounded her. She looked at the dark lights with a raised eyebrow as the dark lights quickly enveloped her.

"Gah!" She yelped as the dark light then shot out toward the gigantic door, where it slowly opened.

"Myra…" A voice whispered. "Come to me…"

"Who are you?" Myra asked the darkness.

"Cooome to meeeeee."

"Okay. If you say so." Myra walked through the doors, disappearing into the darkness as the doors closed behind her.

BGM: The Palace of Shadow (Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door)

Myra walked through the corridor, when she saw torches lighting up as several wisps flew around. One wisp in particular flew toward her, curiously blinking at her. She gently put her hand out as it danced around her hand before flying around her neck, causing her to giggle before the wisp flew away a few feet from her, then the wisp seemed to urge her to follow it.

With a smile, Myra followed the wisp, curious to see where it may lead her.

She walked down some steps, seeing a river below her and what looked to be a building in front of her. She walked into the doors and discovered dark colored bones scattered all over the room.

She walked ahead, only for the wisp to stop her. "What is it?" She asked as the wisp flew down toward the ground as spikes rose up. "Oh!"

The wisp moved away and guided her around the spike trap maze, with more wisps curiously looking at her until she safely made it out of the room. As she progressed through some hallways, she would see skeletons all around with dark claymores and other swords scattered around.

"Did a civil war happen or was it an invasion?" She wondered as she walked further along, noticing manmade Bill Blasters with Bombshell Bills lying on the ground. She walked past them and continued down the corridor until she got into a large room.

A single Dark Bones rose up and approached her. She immediately got in a defensive position… when the Dark Bones simply bowed before her. Several Dry Bones rose up and bowed before her as well.

"What…?" She wondered as the Dark Bones said nothing, before pointing toward another door. She curiously walked toward the door. These are curious Dry Bones… why would they bow before someone like me? She wondered as she walked through another corridor.

"You will free us all…"

"One of us…"

"Help us…"

"We are trapped…"

Whispers echoed in her ears as she continued down the corridors, finding more skeletons along the way until she opened another door… and found an observatory in front of her. Her eyes were glued to it as she approached, nearly falling into the water as she did so.

She decided to swim across the water until she got to the other side and got out, opening the door to the observatory as she saw a winding staircase. She walked up only to come across what looked to be a tree filled with stars.

She got closer, looking to see what it may entail.

Shadowheart Tribe - People of the Shadows who are well versed in magic and work well with outsiders

"This is a family tree…" She whispered as she looked at the various families until she decided to type in her name out of curiosity.

"M-Y-R-A…"

Suddenly, the timelines of each family changed where she would see something that intrigued her.

"Shadowheart…? My last name's…" Myra shook her head. "No. Don't be silly. I was born in Toad Town." She said as she walked away.

"One of us…"

"Avenge us…"

These whispers are annoying… Myra thought as she dove back into the water and swam back to where she was originally, then she kept moving where she came into a corridor that led down some stairs.

She walked down, curious where they may lead as she would soon end up in some kind of throne room, with skeletons all around.

"Hey. Who dares enter my domain?" A voice asked as she looked to see a Bandit sitting on a throne, wearing a silver crown atop his blue robes.

"A Bandit?" Myra raised an eyebrow.

"Oi! How dare you disrespect me. I am the great Bandit King! A rightful king who usurped the throne a long time ago! I've been living the good life!"

Myra sweatdropped. "Living the good life… underground?"

"Yeah, so what? Nobody's perfect… and besides, this place is a good hideout!"

Myra casually leaned her head to the side. "Let me guess, those stairs are an exit for you?"

"What about those stairs? …Oh, never mind that! Who are you?"

"Myra. Just Myra."

"Myra?" The Bandit's eyes widened before he growled. "Can't my henchmen do anything right?! They were supposed to make the whole Shadow tribe extinct and yet they had one get away!"

"...What are you talking about, dude?" Myra tilted her head.

"Rrrgh… MEN! KILL THIS WENCH!" He yelled as several Bandits dropped to the ground.

BGM: Divine Bloodlines (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

"Guess we're skipping out on some tea and cake? Okay then!" Myra summoned her staff as several bandits pulled out knives and swords as they launched forward. Myra quickly twirled her staff around and unleashed a blizzard attack to freeze them before hitting the ground hit the staff as dark shadowy spikes rose up and shattered them to pieces.

More bandits arrived, holding daggers as they quickly slashed at Myra, but she shadow stepped out of the way and proceeded to fire dark lasers to send them away before hitting up with dark fireballs.

Even more Bandits arrived, proceeding to slash at her but she quickly weaved to avoid the attack, only for a sword to cut her robe.

"Aw man, I just got this dry cleaned." She said with a pout before unleashing a few shadow shockwaves to blast them away and summoned some dark icicles to pierce through them.

"Ugh, must I do everything myself!" The Bandit King groaned as he picked up his heavy broadsword. "Hahahahaha! DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!"

"That's the biggest sandwich cutter I've seen. Mind if I have a slice?" She asked as the Bandit King swung it down, but she casually sidestepped because the sword was way too heavy for him.

"Hah… hah… hold still!"

Myra casually dodged before stepping on said sword to block him from moving. "What…?!" He wondered as Myra put up her hand as dark energy swirled around her. "Uh oh…" He grimaced, bracing from the worst as she fired a dark piercing laser from her hand, going through his body. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

He fell limp immediately after as the laser that pierced him also caused him to catch on fire until nothing remained of him.

"Some usurper."

She walked over to the throne in question after dismissing her staff and gently put her hand on it before looking at the stairs before her. She slowly descended the stairs before opening the door, finding some sort of vault in front of her as there were seven crystalized stars on pedestals.

Diamond, Emerald, Gold, Ruby, Sapphire, Garnet and even a Crystal Star.

"Beautiful…" Myra breathed as she approached them, slowly touching all seven. "What are these…?"

"The Crystal Stars."

"Whoa!" Myra took a step back as the seven Crystal Stars glowed brightly before a shadowy light appeared before her. When the light cleared, she would see a black haired woman with a yellow crown with magenta eyes appear before her, the woman had fair skin and wore a shadowy black dress.

"Who… are you?"

"I… am Vivian Shadowheart, the rightful ruler of the Shadow Kingdom. I am also known as the Shadow Queen."

"O… kaaaay…"

"And, you are Myra Shadowheart, my long lost five times great granddaughter."

Myra blinked. "HUH?!" She yelled in surprise. "No offense, but uh… you look far too young to be my… five times great grandmother."

BGM: Soft Light (Super Paper Mario)

The Shadow Queen chuckled. "To be honest, the Shadows have a very long lifespan. I appear young even though I've seen wars and bloodshed throughout centuries. That includes a certain tyrant known as Emperor Bowser. Oh yes, we've been aware of that bonehead for a long time."

"Uh… huh…"

"You're probably wondering who you are and why you're my granddaughter. Allow me to shed some light on the subject."

"Okay…"

"Long ago, about twenty years ago, you were born in this world. Your father was human and your mother a Shadow. Humans typically feared Shadows because of how we dwelled in the shadows and look absolutely different in the outside world, but a human found one of the shadows to be cute and she took him into the Shadow Kingdom, where he admired her beauty. Before you ask, there was no conflict between humans and shadows, they were just… cautious. However, humans and shadows would become friends over time, yet still feared them because of us lurking in the shadows. I suppose that's fair…

Anyway, your human father and your mother dated for a while. It was unheard of. A Human and a Shadow dating? It was more likely than one thought. As a matter of fact, your father had my blessing and they were wed outside of the Kingdom. Humans and Shadows both applauded at this union.

Then you came along. A small bundle of shadowy joy. However… a few days later, a Bandit tribe came out of nowhere and started attacking us. I went to use these Crystal Stars to fend them off… however, that so-called Bandit King managed to overpower me and used a spell to seal me within these Crystal Stars. Before I was sealed, I incited a spell that would protect you from these bandits. Unfortunately, I didn't have much power to protect my son-in-law and his wife.

They were heavily wounded, but they were determined to protect you. They put you on a boat where you sailed to the Mushroom Kingdom. They both decided to go on and fight to protect the Shadow Kingdom… but they were destroyed as well."

"I was founded by some Toads and they took me into an orphanage. Nobody would adopt me but I was able to leave the orphanage on my own when I was able to stand on my own two feet. Got myself a new home, became good friends with Princess Lemony… but to this day, I didn't know who I was aside from my name and how I was founded on a ship…"

Myra's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh…" She put her hand over her mouth as she nearly fell over but the Shadow Queen grabbed a hold of her.

"It's a lot to take in."

"I'm a descendant of the Shadow Tribe… hell, I'm the last person of the Shadow Tribe."

"Well, technically, we're the last two people, given how I've been sealed within the Crystal Stars. But there's something I've failed to mention. That Bandit King who sealed me in? He used a curse to place me within these Stars forever. I can only come out of the Crystal Stars for a short period of time before my strength fades and I'm back into those crystal prisons."

"So… when these Crystal Stars are together, you can come out for a short time then?"

"That is correct."

Myra sighed. "I'm sorry, this is just a lot to take in…" She said. "I mean, I thought I was just human… but… apparently I'm half Human, half Shadow. What do we call this anyway?"

"Hmm…" Vivian rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "I dunno. I'm sure we'll come up with a term for you."

"...Another question. Since I'm technically a Shadow, do I also have… a long life expectancy?"

"I'm pretty sure you do."

"Cool…" Myra took a deep breath. "So there's my answer I've been looking for. I'm a Shadowheart of the Shadow Tribe, and, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm actually a princess."

"Indeed."

"...Well, I'll be damned." Myra chuckled as she smiled. "Though, to be honest, "princess" doesn't really… suit me in a way."

"It would sound pretty weird to you…" The Shadow Queen started to fade away. "Oh… darn…" She mumbled as she faded away completely into the Crystal Stars.

Myra gathered up the Crystal Stars. "I wonder if I can make one of these stars on my own, maybe add on to my power."

"You could definitely try…"

"Yeah, I think I'll do that." She said as Myra walked out of the vault and walked up the stairs. "By the way, was I born to have magical abilities?"

"The Shadow Tribe had a knack for magic, so of course you would be prone to unlock magic at a young age."

"That would… certainly explain how I almost burnt down the orphanage when I was five."

"What did you do at the age of five?"

"Ahahaha…" Myra nervously laughed. "Long story…"

Meanwhile, back at the Mushroom Kingdom…

"Hmhmhmhm~" A young scientist, Viola, worked on a project when she noticed Elvis P. Gadd rollerblading in. He also had an afro on his head. "...What the hell are you wearing?"

"It's for a party tonight. Everyone gets to dress up funky! I look pretty stylish, don't you think?"

"Pffft… stylish? No. Absolutely insane? Yes."

"Ah, you're just jealous." He chuckled as he looked in a mirror. He proceeded to lean back and did some finger guns. "Who's a good lookin' scientist? You are, uh-huh! Heheh, thank you… thank you very much!" He said in a fake deep voice.

"That's not going to catch on." Viola deadpanned.

"Not with that attitude!" He grinned. "I am Elvis Parlsey Gadd, I make anything catch on! You dare question my brilliance?"

"I dunno if "bad hair day" counts as brilliance."

Elvis grinned. "Ohohoho. You'd be surprised!"

"Right, right…" Viola chuckled. "Still, a party, huh? What's it about?"

"Well, technically, it's an award ceremony for the greatest minds of our time."

Viola's eyes sparkled. "Greatest minds, you say? I have a great mind! I'll go dress up in a funky costume myself!"

"...Oh… uh…" Elvis grimaced. "Listen, Viola… there's something I've been meaning to tell you for the past few weeks."

"What is it?"

Elvis hesitated. "Well...yes. You do have a sharp mind...but well..."

Viola was shaking, her eyes starting to well up. "SPIT IT OUT YOU ASSHOLE, SAY IT!"

"Mmmph… science isn't meant for a woman like you are!" He said this quickly.

Viola stood there in stunned silence

"You're very gifted, believe you me, but some of your experiments seem borderline insane! For how a woman like you to come up with such things is utterly mind boggling, our colleagues agree too!"

"Are you saying science is for men only? THAT'S what this science community thinks?! Only MEN are allowed while we women are treated like trash?!"

"Yes-" Elvis looked perplexed. "Wait, I never said that a wo-"

Tears poured down Viola's face. "I see... well, you can take this beaker AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS!" She yelled, throwing it at him and knocking the afro off his head... and he lost balance on the roller blades.

"Mmmph!"

"Ugh, fuck this! I'm going to make sure you sexist pigs will recognize my greatness! You are going to witness sheer creativity that will knock your socks off! I WILL DESTROY ALL OF YOU WITH MY GREATNESS! YOU FUCKING HEAR ME?!"

She stormed out, slamming the door behind her.

Elvis stood there stunned. "...Oh dear, I may have chosen the wrong words to tell her... but how else was I supposed to tell her... she's a psychopath... those devices she made were..." He shuddered. "This community doesn't make formulas to kill... or use civilians for experiments..."

He sighed. "With how much of a loose cannon she is... I wasn't brave enough to tell her I didn't want a maniac as a part of this community, even moreso than at that award show."

He closed his eyes behind his glasses. "I'm such a coward..."

Viola ran away, tears streaming down her eyes. "Fuck that chauvenistic douchebag! I'll make him pay… I'll make all of them pay! I'll show the whole world how great I am and how I will destroy them all for thinking only men are allowed to do science! I'LL SHOW THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD!"

She continued to run endlessly, tears streaming down her face nonstop until her legs gave out. She sobbed for a few minutes until she looked up, seeing a sign in front of her.

"So that's how you make a Crystal Star… huh, didn't think I had it in me." Myra said, proceeding to hop off of the boat.

"See you, Myra!" The Toad waved as Myra waved goodbye.

"See ya!" Myra said and then turned around. "This Amethyst Star… it's incredible."

"Indeed it is. Aaaand don't mind if I do~!"

Suddenly, the Shadow Queen put herself inside the Amethyst Star.

"Aaah, much better. Definitely fits a gal like me."

Myra snickered. "Oh you…" She said. "I wonder if Princess Lemony is around. She'll get a kick out of this."

She hurried over to the castle and knocked on the door, as Toadsmuth opened it up. "Oh, hello Myra!"

"Is the princess here?"

"Yes. Come on in." He said, opening it up as Myra walked inside, seeing Lemony walk by.

"Hey princess."

"Hmm? Oh! Myra!" Lemony smiled as the two quickly embraced. "Have you found what you're looking for?"

"Yes. It's a lot to take in."

"Oh, I bet it is. Sit down, I'll have the servants make us some tea."

"Okay." Myra nodded as she sat down as Lemony sat across from her.

"So, what did you uncover?"

"It's a long story."

One long story later…

"Wow… that's a lot to take in… but… are you sure you are from this… Shadow Tribe?"

"It's hard to believe, I know. But perhaps this will prove it." She said, summoning the Crystal Stars and then raised her Amethyst star up high, which had the Shadow Queen come out.

"Oh my!" Lemony said in surprise.

Whoa, so this is his her true shadow self… Myra said as she stared at the Shadow Queen's almost ghostly-like shadow figure.

"...I know what you're thinking. This shadow form makes my butt look big."

"Uuuuuh, noooooooo… that's totally not what I was thinking." Lemony said.

"Oh, you weren't? Thank heavens… I'm a bit self conscious about it." Vivian chuckled. "Names Vivian Shadowheart, the Shadow Queen of the Shadow Kingdom."

"And I'm-" Lemony cleared her throat. "Princess Lemony Toadstool. Though, I'll be crowned as queen in a few days."

"Almost time, huh?" Myra asked.

"Yeah, and, I'm thinking after I'm crowned… I'll make you the court jester."

"Jester?!" Myra said in surprise.

Lemony laughed. "I'm kidding! I just wanted to see your reaction." She giggled, causing Myra to groan. "In actuality, I was thinking you'd be the royal court mage."

"Y-you really think so?"

"Of course. You've saved the Mushroom Kingdom time and time again, and you've also saved the Koopa Kingdom countless times as well. With you as a court mage, well… you'd pretty much be on the top of the food chain!"

"...With you at the very top?"

"Of course!" She giggled. "So what do you say?"

Myra smiled. "Princess, I'm honored. Of course I'll be your court mage."

"Excellent~!" Lemony smiled as the two hugged. "...By the way, is she always so shadowy?"

"Oh, I've never seen this shadow form before." Myra admitted.

"Oh, that can be easily explained."

The Shadow Queen moved over, turning off the lights as she turned into what Myra had seen earlier in the Shadow Kingdom. The light shined through a window as she stepped into the spotlight, turning into her shadow form.

"Whoa… incredible."

"In shadow or dark light, I appear human. In light, I'm my true self, a Shadow." VIvian smiled before going back inside the Amethyst Star.

"Meanwhile, I'm not affected… but this does explain why I prefer to hang around darkened light."

"I just assumed you were just being anti-social."

"Nah, I'm pretty-... hey!" Myra pouted while Lemony gave a teasing giggle.

"You're too easy sometimes."

A few days later…

"Do you, Princess Lemony Toadstool, take this crown and swear that you will defend this Kingdom with your life?"

"I do!"

Toadsmuth smiled, handing her the crown. "Ladies and gentlemen, Queen Lemony!"

The crowd cheered as Princess, now Queen, stood proudly and waved to the crowd. "My first royal duty as queen… is to appoint my new Court Mage! Myra Shadowheart!"

There was awkward silence that immediately followed, complete with coughing.

"Um… Myra Shadowheart…?"

A Toad approached her. "Psst, this was seen at her home earlier this morning." He said as Lemony gently took it and read it.

"Dear Princess, I had to leave for a quick errand. My grandmother wanted to see what the Kingdom of Myths was all about and wouldn't stop pestering me for it, then we'll return soon. Can you hold off the coronation until I get back? - Myra Shadowheart

PS, Grandma says hi."

Lemony's eye twitched as she calmly put the letter away. "Something had just come up, but in the meantime, enjoy the festivities!"

The crowd cheered while also a bit curious as to where Myra might currently be.

"...You didn't bring this to my attention earlier?" Lemony asked.

"I thought she'd be back the moment you became queen!" The Toad sheepishly said.

Lemony groaned. "Myra, you better make it back soon so I can give you a hug… and smack you upside the head. You AND the Shadow Queen…"

With Myra…

"That's peculiar…" Myra said as she stared at some active volcanoes. "I've heard these volcanoes were dormant for a while."

"Guess they wanted to erupt."

"Apparently so." Myra smiled. "Now then, let's see what we can discover in the Kingdom of Myths before we head back."

With Viola…

BGM: Professor E. Gadd (Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time)

"Fascinating…" Viola mused as she had built a lab inside of a castle. "This Kingdom of Myths is the perfect playground for experiments of my own~!" She grinned. "Not only that, but I have the perfect specimen!" She said, holding a Ztar in her hand. "Goodness, I have to thank that otherworldly energy the other day!"

Two days ago…

"A Rotten Mushroom… and this Power Star… what would happen if I combine these two?" Viola wondered. "Mmm, I need some inspiration. What would I need?" She wondered.

Suddenly, a cosmic rift opened up in front of her and unleashed a powerful shockwave that resounded all over the world. "Gah!"

*Loud Palkia cry*

*Loud Dialga cry*

"Uuungh…" Viola shook her head. "What the hell was that…?" She wondered as she looked at the Rotten Mushroom as the cosmic rift disappeared. The Rotten Mushroom was suddenly glowing with energy. "Ooooh!" Her eyes sparkled as she proceeded to combine the two together with the new energy.

The Power Star exploded in darkness, causing her to yelp in surprise before it stopped. She looked at it to see it pitch black with white eyes.

"Oh my gosh! This is incredible! It's… a black star! …I can feel it's corruption. It's… it's… a Ztar!"

Back in the present…

"It's otherworldly beauty has many boundless potential…" She said to herself as she looked at her many acids. "I wonder what I could do with this…" She mused as she looked through the vials and found the perfect one. "Ah, Sulfuric Acid! That'll do the trick!"

She poured some in a container and dipped the Ztar into it, which it immediately turned green gooey substance.

"Ooooh…" She whispered as she looked into a machine. "According to this… holy shit, it's a new element! Oh my gosh, I found a new element! I can put this on the periodic table! What to call it though…"

She rubbed her chin in thought and decided to use a machine to come up with names for her.

"...Zoo-tear-eh-gin… that rolls off the tongue. Yeah, Zuteregeon it is!" She smiled. "Though, I wonder how acidic it really is." She mused as she took an eye dropper and inserted it inside. She used her left hand as a test subject and applied a single drop on her hand.

At first, it simply felt like a fizzy drink, but then it got hotter quickly as it proceeded to dissolve her entire hand until nothing remained.

"Intereresting! A single drop can disintegrate the width of the hand… not even the bones survive. The pain felt like biting into a habanero."

Viola grinned. "Sweet! Put that on the Periodic Table!" She fist pumped. "Alright, now to write this down and-"

She reached for a pen with her left arm, only to remember her hand was gone. "Oh. Right. No worries, I can write with my right hand. I'm ambidextrous!"

One sloppy and illegible handwriting session later…

Anime tears ran down Viola's face. "No fair, I could've sworn I was…" She moaned before sighing. "No worries, I can just make a new hand. My scientific breakthroughs make it possible to restore tissue."

One hand restoration later…

"Ta-daaaaaah~!" Viola grinned. "My hand is completely restored and-"

She blinked, realizing she only copied her right hand.

"Wait, the left thumb is on the left side of the left hand… right?" She tilted her head before facepalming. "Dammit… screwed that up."

Another restoration later…

"Thumb and index goes to the right side, pinky and ring on the left… middle stays firmly in the middle… okay, good!"

She placed her robotic hand on the left socket and then proceeded to add tissue to it. "There, you can't even tell a difference~!" She smiled before proceeding to safely store the Zuteregeon inside of a container… before an idea came to her and quickly walked out of the lab as she walked into the dragon's lair.

"I've wanted to do something with these bones… so what if I put Zuteregeon on these?" She asked, proceeding to use the Zuteregeon on the bones. To her surprise, the element proceeded to interact with the bones and spread throughout as the bones slowly started to animate.

"Oh my… it's alive…" She whispered as the dragon slowly stood proudly. "IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!"

With Myra…

"Curious…" Myra mused after hitting a ? Block, holding a Ztar in her hand. "I've never seen a Power Star like this before…"

"I can feel the corruption coming off of it…"

"Yeah… this feels… unnatural…"

*LOUD DRACONIC ROAR*

"Whoa!" Myra exclaimed, jumping a bit. "The hell was that?"

Back with Viola…

"Hehehe, I've revived a beast! And with this Zuteregeon that's reanimating his body, it'd be next to impossible to kill it!"

Viola rubbed her chin in thought. "At least, I would think so… eh, my own opinion."

"Were you the one who revived me?"

"Yes!"

"My queen." The dragon bowed.

Ooooh, I could get used to this~! Viola thought. "Now then, I should give you a name. How about… Zuteregeontail? …No, that won't work. Hooktail? Gloomtail? Bonetail? …Last one sounds fitting, but you got this acid all over your bo-"

Her eyes widened. "Acidtail! That's a good name for you!"

The dragon nodded. "I am at your service."

"Um… right now, stay here. When I come back, we'll go visit the Mushroom Kingdom."

"Understood."

Viola turned around and hummed, before she left the lab a few minutes later. "Alright, let's see what else I can see in these Lost Levels. The Pipe Maze was next, right?" She walked off with a hum.

A few minutes later, Myra entered the castle. "Yeesh, a bit run down, but nothing we can't handle." She said as she walked through the castle, curiously looking over the architecture before she walked into the dragon's lair.

"Whoa!" She whispered, seeing Acidtail in front of her.

"...Who's there?" Acidtail wondered.

She quickly shadow stepped into the shadows, quickly sneaking past him before disappearing through a door.

"Shit, that was an actual dragon… what was that all abou-... wait, why is there a lab here?"

"I was about to ask the same thing."

Myra walked forward, looking around to see the curious work before finding a note and reading it.

"...Lost Levels?" Myra tilted her head. "I've never heard anyone call the Kingdom of Myths like that before."

"Intriguing. Not only that, but it seems this person goes by V."

"Fascinating…" Myra mused. "...Zuteregeon, that's a new one. Melted off your hand-... okay, we're not alone in this Kingdom of Myths."

"You think this person could be good or evil?"

"I dunno, but let's be on our guard just in case."

She walked out. "Okay. The Pipe Maze is next. Let's go~!"

Later, with Viola…

"Is it really that bad?" Viola wondered, touching a Fuzzy. "...Whooooooa…!" She said, seeing massive rainbow hallucinations. "I can taste color… I can see through time… it's like a road, it's rainbow roa~"

SLAP!

Viola slapped herself to snap herself out of it. "Hooo! They weren't kidding with "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy"..." She said. "Rainbow Road High Phenomenon… it's a mouthful, but it'll catch on!" She grinned as she put the Fuzzy down.

"I wonder what happens if I mix this with a Ztar…" She wondered, placing the Ztar next to the Fuzzy as it started to morph and twist about before it turned black in color, gained bugged out eyes and a mouth with buck teeth.

"...Oh my god, it's adorable."

"Meeeeeyork! Meeeeeeeeeeeeyork!"

"Hi cutie~!" She smiled as the Fuzzy latched onto her arm and started chewing on it. "Aww, you wanna chew on my hand? Hehe, so cute and so-... wait, are you sucking my blood?" She asked as the Fuzzy started to multiply.

"Meeeeyork! Meeeeeeeyork!"

"Meeeeeeeeeyork! Meeeeeeyork!"

They both latched onto her arms.

"Oh my gosh, they're mosquitoes!" She yelped as she quickly pried them off, and then ran away, quickly shoving them into a Warp Pipe, where she saw them multiply like crazy, forcing her to put a lid over the Warp Pipe.

"Phew…" She sighed with relief. "Mosquitoes that multiply like rabbits… hahaha… whoops." She shook her head. "I want to destroy those chauvinistic pigs with Zuteregeon, not with those vampire-like things…"

She grabbed another Fuzzy, immediately getting the same effect… and when she put it down, she slapped herself and proceeded to create elixirs.

"Yeah, no… this is definitely going to cure the Rainbow Road High Phenomenon for sure." She said, then putting them in cabinets. "There we go. The Rainbow Road High Phenomenon Cure is safe and sou-... uuuuugh, I'm hating that term more and more…" She groaned.

She walked outside, looking at a Piranha Plant that was minding its own business. "Hmm…" She looked at the Fuzzy in her mechanical hand. "What if I experimented with this… maybe it can produce a Fuzzy Plant and-"

"What are you doing?"

"AAAAAAH!" Viola screamed, jumping and turning around to see Myra in front of her. "Shit, are you trying to give me a heart attack?!"

"Oh, sorry."

"...Wait a minute. You look familiar." She said, narrowing her eyes and gasped. "You're Myra, the heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom!"

"That'd be me."

"Oh, this is so cool! I'm such a huge fan of your work! You're incredible! …What are you doing in the Lost Levels anyway?"

"Oh, came to see what was beyond the Mushroom King-... hold on, why did you call the Kingdom of Myths "the Lost Levels" anyway?"

"Aheheheh…" Viola poked her fingers together. "Weeeeell…"

Two days ago…

"AUUUUUUUUUUUGH!" Viola cried. "I HAVE BEEN GOING AROUND IN CIRCLES IN THE SOOTY PLAINS, I'M HORRIBLY LOST! THEY NEED TO CALL THIS PLACE THE LOST LEVELS BECAUSE YOU CAN GET SO DAMN LOST IN THIS PLACE!"

Back in the present…

Myra sweatdropped, giving her a deadpan expression. "You got… horribly lost in the Sooty Plains?"

"Not my fault there were lava rivers everywhere!" Viola groaned. "I tried going one direction, yet I somehow ended up in the same spot as before… or further back!"

Myra shook her head. "No sense of direction…" She mumbled under her breath.

"I heard that!"

"But seriously, calling a place "The Lost Levels" because you got lost is actually kinda dumb. There's no way it'll catch on."

"You might be surprised." Viola chuckled.

"Anyway, who are you?"

"I'm Viola Silverlung."

"...What kind of surname is that?" Shadow Queen wondered.

"Silverlung?" Myra tilted her head.

"Yeah, I know, it sounds weird but it also sounds cool." Viola smiled.

"Viola Silverlung… oh! I've heard about you. You're Elvis Gadd's assistant, right?"

Viola scowled. "Was his assistant."

"What happened?"

"Apparently, the asshole is nothing more than a chauvinistic pig. He claims that women aren't allowed in the lab and the whole community agrees with him. They're all assholes!"

"...Huh? I can see one, but the whole science community?"

"Yes!" Viola sighed. "I'm going to do what it takes to destroy them… make them wish they never crossed me."

"Ah, humiliate them… that sounds reasonable."

"Yes, "humiliate"..." Viola nodded. "I've been creating labs in the Lost Levels and, well, I was going to combine a Fuzzy with this Piranha Plant with this Ztar, but-"

"Actually, I got a better idea." Myra said, raising her staff up high with the Amethyst Star attached to it and proceeded to combine said Fuzzy with the Piranha Plant, turning it black in color with multicolored dots.

"Oooooh!"

"It has psychic powers now. I call it… Psychic Pir-"

"Psycho Piranha!"

"Ps-Psycho?" Myra blinked. "Uh…"

"Yeah, Psychic Piranha sounds nice, but Psycho Piranha has a better ring to it."

"I… suppose so…" Myra sweatdropped. "Psycho Piranha it is."

The two of them walked out a few minutes later after Viola wrote some notes, then they got out of the maze via the Warp Pipe.

Hmm… with her magical brawn and my intellect… Viola thought as she grinned widely. She can help me out with my research and we can destroy the scientific community for good! Yes, it works wonders! I wonder what those Stars are though… I've never seen crystalized stars before…

"Ya know, I've been thinking." Viola said.

"What is it?"

"You and me? We can make a great team. We'll show that scientific community that we mean business! We can set the whole world ablaze with our passion!"

"You know what? I've had my fair share of party members before, I wouldn't mind!" Myra smiled. "Sure, I'd be happy to tag along with you!"

SCORE! Viola's eyes sparkled. "Awesome! Now let's make way to the City of Jannah!"

Several miles later…

"This is the City of Jannah?" Myra asked, seeing a desolate wasteland.

"More like the City of Nil. What happened to this place?" Viola wondered, before quickly changing the sign on the board to "Nil". "There we go."

"One way to find out." Myra said as they walked through together.

"Soooo, these Crystalized Stars-"

"Crystal. I've told you a few times already."

"Right. So these Crystalized Stars-" She heard a sigh of defeat from Myra. "-You found them in this Shadow Kingdom underneath Rogueport and that's where you found out your history? And on top of that, your grandmother, Vivian Shadow Queen-"

"Vivian Shadow Queen?" Vivian raised an eyebrow from within the Amethyst Star.

"-Is cursed to be trapped forever, only getting out for a few minutes at a time?"

"Yes." Myra asked.

"Mind if I see her for myself?"

"Of course." Myra said and looked at the Amethyst Star. "You ready, grandma?"

"I suppose…"

The Shadow Queen emerged from the Amethyst Star, showing her true shadowy self.

"Ooooh, sinister! I like that!" Viola said as she went into some shadow, showing off her human form. "Oh. Wow. You're uh… a lot more boring in the shadows."

"Boring? I'll pull your tongue off for that!"

"Easy now…" Myra chuckled as Vivian shook her head before going back into the Star.

"Half Shadow and Half Human, huh…" Viola mused. "Do we have a name for that though?"

"I'm trying to come up with something but I'm drawing blanks."

"No worries, with my great scientific mind, I can figure out a name for a species such as yourself."

Myra sweatdropped. "I dunno how I feel being called a "species"..."

"Visitantes…" (Visitors…)

The girls turned to see El Cinco approach them. "A Dry Wiggler?" Myra wondered.

"Soy la Oruga de las Cinco Espadas, pero puedes llamarme El Cinco." (I am the Five Sword Caterpillar, but you can call me El Cinco.)

"Um… sorry dude, we no speak your language." Viola said.

"I can translate." Shadow Queen spoke up and translated for him.

El Cinco's eyes widened. "Esa voz... Vivian?" (That voice… Vivian?)

The Shadow Queen emerged from the Amethyst Star. "How you doing, big guy?" She asked as the two embraced one another.

"Uuuuuh… you two know each other?" Myra asked.

"I sometimes came to visit the City of Jannah in my spare time. El Cinco and I go way back."

"Estamos seguros de hacer!" (We sure do!)

"Although, you're a lot… bonier than I remember. What happened?"

"Estalló una guerra y comenzó a producirse una invasión. Intenté detenerlos pero mi familia fue asesinada. Me trajeron de regreso por venganza y... accidentalmente creé una tormenta de polvo que arrasó con todo." (A war broke out and an invasion started to happen. I tried to stop them but my family was killed. I was brought back out of vengeance and... accidentally created a dust storm that wiped out everything.)

"Oh, you poor thing…" Vivian frowned. "Don't worry, that idiot who caused the war is no longer an issue."

"Estoy contento." (I'm glad.)

"I take it you're the ruler of this place?" Viola asked.

"Si."

El Cinco pointed to his own castle off into the distance.

"Oh, that's pretty cool. Let's go check it out." Viola said as they started to walk through the area, where she would notice the technology around the area. "Huh… technologically advanced, I take it."

"Sí. Antes de que accidentalmente destruyera mi casa, teníamos muchos dispositivos futuristas, como autos voladores, mochilas propulsoras-" (Yes. Before I accidentally destroyed my home, we had a lot of futuristic gadgets, such as flying cars, jetpacks-)

"FLYING CARS?!" Viola yelled in surprise as she immediately ran to take a look at them. "Oh goodness, these are so ahead of their time!" She said, wiping off the sand to reveal the colors. "So futuristic… does this still work?"

"All of it? Ouch…" Myra grimaced.

"Awwwww…" Viola pouted. "I was hoping I could use this advanced technology for my own…" She sighed as she walked off sulking.

As they traveled through the ruined city, Myra explained the whole thing with Viola, not to mention the whole ordeal with the Shadow Queen.

"Yeah. I have to admire Viola though." Myra said. "She's sticking up for what's right for those who wronged her. I can't help but admire her for that."

Myra turned her head, seeing Viola using an ice pick on the Amethyst Star. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to break her out of her prison and set her free."

One lab made later…

"See ya!" Myra waved as she and Viola waved goodbye.

"Adios!" El Cinco waved as well as he let out a sigh, then looked at the lab. "Tengo que admitir que arregla un poco el lugar." (Have to admit, it does spruce up the place a bit.)

"I'm curious… why are you making labs around the Kingdom of Myths anyway?" Myra asked.

"I like to think of them as checkpoints. And hey, when I'm done making labs, I can make a teleporter to any lab that I made just to create some wacky experiments."

"I see… what kind of experiments did you make anyway?"

"Oh, nothing too wild… I made an exploding pie bomb that would explode all over your face, a mouse trap that would make a horrifying sound that would destroy windows at a certain decibel, static electricity gloves where you can create your own electricity and shock anyone as a prank-"

Myra grimaced. "I can see why you say they're whacky…"

"Yeah, but I'm thinking outside the box with these ones, but does Elvis care? No. Apparently it's only for men."

"Well… maybe he just doesn't appreciate… loony art."

"Loony art? Oh no no no, these are masterpieces I create!"

Myra snickered. "I'm just messing with ya."

Viola chuckled. "Good one. There was this one time I created a machine that would help someone put their underwear on… only it malfunctioned and gave him an ultimate atomic wedgie that put him in the hospital."

Myra grimaced. "Oooooh, that'll hurt!"

"Yeah…" Truth be told, it was an atomic wedgie machine that would go straight for the person's ribcage… unfortunately, my test subject broke it before it could reach the maximum height. Bah… what a sore loser.

"Well, science does come with risks."

"Yeah, it also comes with fun!"

Myra snickered. "Good point." She said as they came across a mountain. "Oh, I guess this must be Banshee's Retreat."

One hike up the mountain later…

"A mansion… cool, a place where I can rest my feet!" Viola said as they approached the mansion, opening the door. "Hellooooo? Anyone in here?"

"I feel like we should've knocked first."

"Ah, I think we're fine." Viola said as she rested on a cough while Myra sat on a chair. "Nice and comfy."

Both of them closed their eyes for a moment… and they heard creepy laughter a few moments later.

Both of them opened their eyes as they were surrounded by Boos, then they heard deeper laughter as King Boo approached them.

"Ehehehe… getting comfortable, are we? In our domain?"

"Ack!" Viola yelped. "We're so sorry! We were just weary and I forgot to knock and-"

"Hey big guy!" Myra waved.

"Ah, Myra!" King Boo smiled.

"...Heh?" Viola blinked as Myra and King Boo proceeded to hug one another. "You two know each other?"

"Yeah! I've ran into him a few times when he was haunting a spot like, say, Dimble Wood or Cataquack Beach. We always hung out and we actually worked together to stop a Cataquack and Yoshi stampede in Toad Town."

"Good times… heheh." King Boo chuckled. "Do you remember the time when we visited Plack Beach-"

"And we both tried to knock down that weirdo who's been in that yoga pose for so long because he wants to be "one with the stars"? Ha! That was a fun afternoon!"

"Indeed."

Viola sweatdropped. "I see…" Guess the world really is small.

At that moment, his more laidback brother floated on in. "What's uuuuup!" He said nonchalantly.

Dude looks like he's taken a lot of drugs… Viola thought.

"What are your names?"

"Myra Shadowheart."

"Viola Silverlung."

"Cool. Coooool! Oh, wait, brother, is this the Myra Shadowheart that you've been bragging about?"

King Boo nodded. "I wouldn't say bragging, but-"

"Aww!" Myra blushed. "We have a lot to catch up on. 'Cause let me tell ya, I've got stories!"

"Well, let's hear 'em! Might as well catch up like old times, wouldn't you agree?"

A few days later…

Viola hummed as she was in a lab that she had made. She had heard explosions outside followed by roaring, but she knew Myra had it covered. "Let's see… if I put some Zuteregeon on a Boo… what would that make, I wonder…"

Viola thought about it before shaking her head. "Nah, let's not." She said as she pulled out the Ztar. "Though I am rather curious what it'd be like for a Boo to interact with a Ztar…" She mused, munching on some pretzels.

SLAM!

Viola shifted her eyes to see Myra having her back to the door, panting. "What's with you? You look like you've seen a malicious gho-"

Myra put her hands to her face and screamed into it. "AUUUUUUUUGH!"

"Whoa!" Viola was right by her side. "Okay, deep breaths, girlfriend. Deep breaths. What happened?"

"Okay… so you know how there was a skeletal monster in that lake and I was taking care of it for King Boo?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"There was this purple gem in the water and I thought "Hey, maybe it'll look good on him." and… it turns out there was an evil power within him, it's stuck inside of him and… AAAAAAGH! I TURNED A LOVABLE GOOFBALL INTO A VILLAIN!" She screamed.

"Okay, okay, relax. Deep breath." Viola said. "In. Out. Iiiiin. Ouuuut… here, take this breathalizer I invented. Breathe into it.

Myra took the mask and breathed it in.

"I mixed in a few chemicals in here and it'll help you relax. …Though there's a chance it might also make you high."

Viola shook her head. "Never mind. I'll see what's eating King Boo and I'll see if I can't knock it out of him. In the meantime, why don't you write down a note in the lab?"

"Okay…"

Viola walked out. "Let's see the damage…"

She walked over and saw King Boo cackling crazily with thunderclouds over the sky. "Ooooh, an evil purple. That's actually a glow up for you, big guy." She said, pulling out a remote control. "Buuuuuuut I'm gonna throw Myra a bone and see if I can't knock it out of you."

A drone came flying out of her pocket as it flew over directly to King Boo who wasn't paying attention. The drone flew above him and claws came out of it as it gently reached down toward the crown.

"Hmm?" King Boo looked up… before unleashing a powerful lightning bolt that destroyed the drone, frying the circuits and the remote control.

"Yagh!" Viola yelped as King Boo smirked evilly at her. "...Aheheheh…"

She took off running, quickly writing down her own note and grabbed Myra's wrist. "Okay, new plan. RUN!" She yelled as they took off running down the mountain.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING? WE'RE JUST HAVING FUN! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" King Boo cackled, but then turned around and continued to unleash his new evil fun.

Later, at safety…

Myra sighed. "What have I done… one of my best friends is now evil because of me…"

"Oh, I wouldn't sweat it. I'm sure it won't last too long. In fact, maybe he'll snap out of it and he'll back to his old self. If anything, he's probably on a power high."

"...You think so?"

"I know so!" Viola nodded. "Come on, let's go check out Hoarfrost Highlands. We're close by anyway."

Myra nodded as Viola walked off, but Myra looked behind her and sighed. "Hope it doesn't last long, big guy…"

Meanwhile, at Hoarfrost Highlands…

BGM: Icecrown (World of Warcraft)

"Hmm… you're definitely right." Emperor Brr said. "Sarasaland is acting weird if they're invading the Mushroom Kingdom."

"That's what I said!" A Hoarfrostian sighed. "It was bad enough with that Koopa Kingdom… we all know what happened in the City of Jannah."

"Yes, but I don't think this as grandscale. Besides, the Mushroom Kingdom's got their heroine… Myra, I think. If anything, I think Myra's magic will stop Dahlia. I have full faith in the Mushroom Kingdom."

"Your coldness!" Another Hoarfrostian ran in. "We got tourists!"

"Tourists? Probably some Gemites."

"No, they're different. They look like Mushroom Kingdom folk."

Emperor Brr's eyes widened. "Really? Must be some adventurers. Send them over here, if you will. They're probably chilled."

"Right."

A few moments later…

Myra and Viola walked in. "Wow, this place is pretty cool!" Viola said. "Pardon the pun…" She chuckled.

"I am Emperor Brr. What brings you to a place such as this?" He asked. "You also seem cold. How about you warm up with our dogs?" He suggested as some Husky-like Hoarfrostian dogs came running in.

"Oh my dusk, they're gorgeous!" Myra's eyes sparkled as she hugged one. "Who's so fluffy and cute? You are~! You are~! Yes you are~! Yes you are~!"

"Woof!"

Viola smiled, scratching the other behind the ears… although it snarled at her, causing her to grimace. "This is why I'm a cat person…" She mumbled.

"Weird, usually they're mild mannered…" Emperor Brr mused. "Odd, never seen one behave so strangely."

"Probably nothing! They're probably not used to strangers." Viola said, then glancing at Myra who was down on her back as the snow dog proceeded to lick her face.

"H-hey! Stop! That tickles! Hahaha!"

…Work with me here, Myra! Viola groaned. "Anywho, I'm Viola Silverlung, and this is my good friend, Myra Shadowheart."

"Myra? As in THE Myra from the Mushroom Kingdom?" One of the Hoarfrostians asked.

"Yup!"

All of them tried to hide a grimace as some of them, including the Emperor, huddled.

"Do we tell them about the Sarasa invasion?"

"No. We keep quiet about this. Last thing she needs is to be worried. I'm sure it'll blow over soon." The Emperor whispered before they all turned. "Well, we're quite honored to have the heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom visit us! You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like."

"Thanks!" Myra smiled.

Later, as a lab is being built…

"Hmmm…" Myra folded her arms.

"What's up?" Viola asked.

"I don't know why… but I feel as if an idiot is on his way to assassinate me."

"Assassinate? YOU? Ha! Good luck with that! The snow's probably messing with your brain… and if they did try to take you out, it'd be an uphill battle."

"Good point. I'm probably just on edge over that thing with King Boo."

Meanwhile, with the Ninji Assassin that Dahlia sent…

"AIYEEEEEEEEE!" The Ninji yelled, running away as Acidtail roared and unleashed an acidic breath that incinerated him.

"Threat eliminated."

A few days later, back at Hoarfrost Highlands…

"You sure this is a good idea? Zuteregeon is kinda unpredictable." Myra said.

"Which is why I'm only going to do a small sample. It's not like it'll harm the environment or something."

"I still think this is a bad idea…"

"Oh, it'll be fine, ya worrywart." Viola said, adding some of it to the near frozen lake. "There, see? It adds a radioactive glowing effect to the water, but luckily, it's staying in one pla-... aaaaaand it's moving downstream. Shit…"

"Oh no… no no no no no NO!" Myra yelled, her hands over her head as she quickly used an ice spell to freeze it in place, but to her horror, it didn't freeze… but it did leave a crystalized effect over the water.

"Hmmm…" Viola mused as she applied it to some snow, which proceeded to travel freely through. "Oh wow, Zuteregeon moves freely in the cold." She said, then noticed it was moving straight toward some vegetation. "Uh oh!"

She sprang into action, kicking the snow back… but the Zuteregeon moved around and went into the vegetation, which slowly started to spread around the entire village.

"Oh god…" Viola's eyes widened.

"No no no no no no no no no! It's going beyond the village! It's going toward the caves!" Myra exclaimed, trying her best to stop it from spreading by throwing ice chunks everywhere.

Viola clenched her fists, a shadow cast over her eyes. "This race had a good run… what's one mass extinction?" She said to herself, letting out a sinister chuckle with a morbid grin before she collected herself and took Myra's hand.

"Save your strength. There's nothing we can do here."

"But-"

"It's too late for them. Let's move on."

Viola walked away as Myra teared up and closed her eyes. "I am so… so sorry…" She whispered and walked after Viola. "Dammit, Vi! We shouldn't have done that! Now this whole place is going to die!"

"They'll survive." Viola said. "Let's pack up and go."

Myra groaned. "Why are you in your science mode. We need to fix it."

"There's nothing we can do, Myra. Let's go."

"But… I'm a hero-"

"-Of the Mushroom Kingdom, not the hero of the Lost Levels. I'm sure the Hoarfrostians have their own hero. They'll figure it out."

"I-"

"Heroes make mistakes sometimes… it's what makes us human." Viola said and continued to walk, causing Myra to stand there, helplessly looking at the Hoarfrostian village. "Come on, Myra. There's nothing we can do."

"Ooooh…" Myra groaned as she turned around and ran off toward Viola. I'm so sorry, everyone!

Myra sighed, munching on a crystalized banana.

"You feeling okay?" Shadow Queen asked.

"Not really, I feel pretty bad… though these edible gems hit the spot. The villagers are so nice. Not sure where Viola is, though… probably making a lab."

"I've been thinking…"

"Oh?"

"I'm pretty sure Viola has always been insane. She dismissed the accident like nothing happened and pulled you along. I wonder if she's a sociopath."

"I don't think she is… she just probably saw it was better to leave before she made it accidentally worse."

"I don't know… I feel like there's a lot of darkness within her. She's not very truthful. She has a lot of baggage that one…"

"You saying I can't trust her?"

"I'm saying keep your guard up. There's no telling what will happen."

"She's my friend though… we all go through some dark times." Myra smiled. "I should probably give her a hug."

She picked off a strawberry and took a bite as she walked toward the lab.

With Viola…

"Holy shit… lava!" Viola said in surprise. "Well, not really lava, but the amount of potential within this is extraordinary! Ohohohoho, this is genius! With this, it has a whole of practicality. Limitless potential! …I can melt the whole damn community with this! Turn Elvis inside out with these. But how do I do it…"

She rubbed her chin in thought. "...Myra. Yes. Myra." She chuckled as she wrote down in her notes. "She's been a loyal and faithful assistant, hell, she's the heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom helping me out in the long run. She and I are gonna tag team and destroy the science community for good! A faithful guinea pig… hehehe. This fruit-tastic lava is the next step in eliminating everyone."

"Hey, Vi? You in here?"

Shit! Viola quickly scribbled off what she wrote and proceeded to flip the page over. "Yeah, I'm in here!" She said as Myra walked in. "How you feeling?"

"Eh… I've been better? I still feel horrible, but… the Gemite Fruit is taking the edge off."

"I'm done on my end. Write up a note and we'll be out of here."

"Already?" Myra raised an eyebrow. "Oookay then…" She said as Viola walked off, then Myra grabbed a note, only to see Viola's note. "Boring? They're quite juicy, ya weirdo…" She chuckled and shook her head. "Silly Vi…" She smiled as she wrote down the note.

Later, at the Coast of Miracles…

BGM: Beach Bowl Galaxy (Super Mario Galaxy)

"Man, this has got quite a view!" Viola said, looking off at the cliff edge while seeing everyone either surfing, grabbing a tan or even swimming, enjoying ice cream and what have you. "I could get used to a place such as this!" Might even be my home base if I want to.

"Hahaha!" Myra laughed as she was being nuzzled by Reznor. "I didn't even know Reznor lived this far in!"

"They're definitely cute." Viola said, walking over and petting the playful alpha, only to notice the horn on in its snout had broken off. She looked down and picked it up. "Hmm… I think I can fix this for ya."

She walked into the lab, proceeding to experiment with the horn as she made it prettier and shinier.

"Mmmm… not good enough." She said, proceeding to make it longer by a few inches. "Still not good enough!"

An idea came to her, pulling out the Ztar and proceeding to mix it in with the experimentation, which it started to interact with the horn as electricity came out, along with fire, wind, ice… the whole package.

"Elemental horn… niiiiice!" She smiled as she pulled it out, only to see the horn was now long and incredibly sharp. "Aheheh… might want to avoid tackle hugs…" She sweatdropped as she walked out. "Hey big guy!" She called out to it as the Alpha Reznor approached her. "Here's your horn, nice and sharp and definitely not compensating for something!"

The Reznor smiled as Viola proceeded to glue it back onto the spot, said glue being a touch of Zuteregeon and stuck it on.

BGM: Mt. Coronet (Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl)

Suddenly, the Reznor groaned before it started glowing, raising its horn up high as storm clouds swirled around them before creating hurricane winds.

"WHOA!" Viola yelled. "...Incredible. I made a weather manipulating horn. Sweet!"

"Vi, what the hell did you do?!" Myra asked in surprise.

"Uh… accidentally made a weather horn. Who knew!"

Myra groaned. "Playing god…" She sighed. "I can fix this, I can definitely get the Reznor a new one and-"

Suddenly, the Reznor swung its head, creating a violent tornado that sucked the two in and launched them away as the Reznor let out a roar, creating violent winds and the weather got more violent, causing a lot of people to scream in terror.

Later…

"Uuungh…" Myra groaned, sitting up and rubbing her head. "Where am I…?"

"You're underground!" A voice said as Myra turned her head to see a Monty Mole. "Hi there, welcome to the Monty Mole Nature Reserve!"

"Wait, nature reserve?"

"Well, also the Monty Mole Kingdom. Glad to see you were okay. Your friend woke up earlier and she's waiting for you outside."

"O-Oh… okay." Myra nodded as she got up, groaning as she grabbed her staff. "You still alive in there, grandma?"

"I've been through worse… though I was mostly concerned for you."

Myra smiled. "Like a tornado will do me in." She said as she walked off, looking around at the civilization until she ran into Viola who rubbed her chin, holding a Mega Mushroom and a Power Star in curiosity as she pushed them in together, creating a massive Grand Power Star.

"Ooooh, fancy!" Viola smiled.

"Hey Vi."

Viola turned her head. "Hey sleepyhead. Good thing we crashed into this civilization, huh?"

"Haha, I guess so… although, maybe you can tone it down on your "playing god" thing?"

"What you talkin' about? I'm being scientifically creative here!"

Myra sweatdropped. "Is that what we're calling it?"

"Yeah, totally fine!" She said. "Now come on, let's head out."

She walked into a Warp Pipe as Myra did the same, leading to a dead end that overlooked the Mushroom Kingdom and Koopa Kingdom. "I guess we're turning around now." Myra said.

"Hmmm… actually, I wonder." Viola said as she had her Ztar interact with the Grand Power Star, which in turn, caused it to transform into a Gran Ztar. "Ooooh baby~!" She grinned, eagerly using the Zuteregeon on it, which caused it to warp and twist before unleashing a powerful space time explosion, creating new land in front of them with platforms and other crazy things.

"What the…?! Flying Bloopers?!"

"Oh maaaaan, this is so cool!" Viola grinned. "What do you think… the Weird Zone?"

I can fix this… i can fix this… Myra thought, using her magic to try and counteract it, but nothing worked. "Ugh… I can't fix this…"

"Why fix what isn't broke? Come on, let's go into the Weird Zone! …Actually-" She used the Grand Star to make a lab right in front of them. "Ha! Genius!"

What have you done… Myra thought before she took a deep breath. No no, it's cool. Totally cool. She's just being creative. She'll calm down soon enough… she's still the eccentric scientist you know and love.

"Weird Zone doesn't cut it." Myra said.

"Huh?"

"Why not… the Minus World?"

"Minus? …Hell, that's better than Weird Zone. Now come on, let's write down some notes and get to exploring this place!"

"Right behind ya."

"Mmmmmm… she's getting more and more dangerous by the minute…"

Later…

"Hmm…" Myra rubbed her chin, looking at the lake in front of her. "You think this would be bad for the ecosystem?"

"What ya talkin' about?"

"I mean… a lake filled with random elements?"

"Oh. That? I'm sure it'll be fiiiine. I'm sure the Cheep Cheeps love it though!"

"I guess so." Myra chuckled. "I do love your creativity."

"Then you're gonna love what I made next." Viola nudged her way forward as Myra walked through the waterfall… and gasped in surprise.

"Whoa!"

"Yeeeup, Cybernetic enhanced folk in a cybernetic village!" Viola said as they walked forward, where Viola left Myra to be left in awe over what she created.

"Incredible…" Myra said as she looked around and studied them as the cybernetically enhanced folk looked at her in curiosity. "I wonder if I should be cybernetically enhanced…" She said to herself. "...Mmm, nah. I like my insides." She giggled.

"Good… I was a bit worried for a second there."

Viola kept walking, smirking. "Myra's power fascinates me… I want a taste of it myself. But how do I do it… mmm, well, I'm sure I'll think of something. My pet will continue to be loyal to me, and then we'll both eliminate every scientist in the Mushroom Kingdom and rework the system. Hmhmhmhm~"

She turned around and walked the way toward Myra. "Hey Myra, let's go. I'm gonna create another area with the Grand Ztar… might call it World A."

"World A?" Myra wondered before smiling. "That's odd, but I don't mind it at all. I can't wait to see what you make next!"

Viola smiled. "Right." Hook, line and sinker!

A few minutes later…

"Let's see… what to do with this…" Viola wondered as she proceeded to use the Grand Ztar's power, where it started to create a massive time rift of some sort, creating a massive gigantic robot in the shape of Luigi.

"What the?!" Both girls said in surprise.

Viola gave an annoyed expression. "The L… it stands for loser."

"Actually, I think it stands for Lucky. Lucky Winner! Or perhaps… Lovable!"

"...Riiiiight." Viola shook her head as she walked forward, as the shoe opened up where they walked on in. "You know what we should do?"

"What?"

"Make clones out of Princess Lemony and Reitoko."

"Uuuuh… why?"

"Sounds like a fun time!" Viola smiled. "Come on, it'll be fun! What's the worst that can happen?"

Two days later…

"OW OW OW OW OW OW OW!" Viola yelled as the Lemony and Reitoko clone heads proceeded to bombard the two as they quickly escape into a safe room, as Viola quickly made a mecha version of Reitoko as it stormed out to take care of the heads.

"What's the worst that can happen"? Oh, I dunno, how about a million heads hitting us?" Myra snarked.

"Okay, okay, that wasn't the greatest idea I had, but it was something!" Viola said, creating a lab from where they were standing. "Besides, science tends to be painful on occasion."

"That's one way of looking at it." Myra shook her head with a chuckle, then with Myra's help, they teleported out of the robot and kept going with the Grand Ztar still making things.

Later, with the Neo Science Community Estate that Viola made…

"...Oh brother." Myra amusingly rolled her eyes at the vanity that Viola had made. "Didn't know you had vanity in your blood, Vi." She chuckled as she walked around. "Still, the paintings are quite well done."

With Viola…

A time rift opened up as Viola came walking out. "So that was the future… too bad the time machine broke." She mumbled. "Though, luckily, I was able to get a few things for what I'm planning. Something for myself while I was at it too."

Later…

"Hey Myra, come take a look at this!" Viola called out as Myra walked over to her, seeing that she created two water tunnels.

"Uuuuh… what…?" Myra tilted her head.

"Just watch. The boat is going to make their way into the tunnel and then-" She giggled, putting up a speaker after having Myra stand several feet away. "Testing… testing… hello? This thing on? Myra, you can hear me, right?"

"Um, yeah? I can hear you perfectly, Vi." What are you doing…?

"Oh good, it works! Ahem, ladies and gentleman, for those who have entered this tunnel… congrats to the happy couple~!"

"Happy couple?" Myra quietly mouthed.

"Yes, that's right! You're about to feel the love tonight! For you see… both of you have entered the Tunnel of… Loooooove~!"

At that moment, claws came out of the walls and proceeded to do away with anything that would obstruct anything, and then, to Myra's horror, they grabbed the mannequin's necks and forcibly looked at each other.

"Husbands, you may kiss the bride! Ladies, pucker up~!"

Myra's eye twitched, watching the mannequins forcibly kissing each other, followed by a camera flash.

"Congratulations! Enjoy the honeymoon!"

Myra threw up her hands in disbelief. "Ugh, I can't even…" She stormed out.

Myra stormed out of the lab, grumbling to herself. "Vivian, let's hope you're right and this match making bullshit is just a phase…"

Myra closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she conjured up a novel to read, sitting down on a rock and casually read for a few to calm herself down.

"Oh hey, I didn't see you as much as a bookworm."

Myra looked up to see Viola walking to her. "Done playing Cupid?"

"Ahehehe~" Viola sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. "I might have gone a tad overboard…"

"A tad?" Myra deadpanned.

"Okay, okay. A lot." Viola chuckled. "...By the way, you interested in anyone?"

"I'm not pursuing love yet. When I'm good and ready, I'll start looking."

"Alriiiiiiiiiiight, putting yourself on the market when she's prime and ready! Atta girl!"

Myra sweatdropped. "Why did you make it sound like I'm some sort of steak?"

"As for me, well, I'm married to science. Who knows, I might make a guy out of thin air with the Ztar and start datin' him."

"I dunno how that'll work out well, but uh… good luck with that?"

"Come on, there's still plenty of areas to explore!" She raised the Grand Ztar up high, which created a castle far into the distant mountains. "We'll call that area World C."

"What do we call the castle then?"

"Hmm… Castle of Vendetta."

"Fitting, given you have a vendetta against the science community. Luckily, it's more "humiliation" and not annihilation."

Viola formed a fake smile. "Come on. To the Castle of Vendetta!" She said and walked off with Myra following her.

When they got there, Myra opened up the door to see the dungeon. "Wait… huh? Vi, did you get mixed up with the floor system? I don't recall dungeons being in the first floor."

"Huh? That can't be right…" Viola looked at a map. "This says we're in the basement and not the living room of the first floor?"

She scratched her head. "Eh, let's leave it. Doubt it'll get any confusing from here."

Two teleportations later…

"Ooookay, apparently it is confusing!" Viola said, scratching her head. "Eh… why don't you get comfortable, I'll go see what this is all about."

"I'm going back to that study. Feels calming." Myra said.

Later…

A space time rift opened up as Viola walked out with a blue Bob-omb with a bowtie and a wheelchair bound Condor with a computerized machine at the arm of the wheelchair came out.

"Bob-mas, Stephen Kleptoking, it's an honor to bring you here in this area."

"This better be important. I need to get back into making different lightbulbs."

"Have you considered making a Bob-omb Lightbulb?" The computer from Stephen's computer asked.

"...Oooh, there's an idea."

"Right this way, mister Bomb-son." Viola walked into a room as Stephen Kleptoking peeked into the room as she put him in the chair.

"So, what's all this, then? Is this some sort of interview?" He asked.

Straps wrapped around the Bob-omb. "Wh-what…?!" He yelped as Viola put some Zuteregeon in a Gemite Apple, putting it in a laser.

"Say goodnight!" She said wickedly with a maliciously sadistic grin.

"WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?! DID GOOMBOLA SHELLSLA PUT YOU UP TO THIS?! I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T STEAL HIS IDEAS!"

The laser gun started to charge up.

"ELVIS WAS RIGHT ABOUT YOU! YOU'RE INSANE!"

"You shouldn't have agreed with that sexist pig! You shouldn't have crossed me! NOW ALL OF YOU WILL BURN INTO THE DEPTHS OF HELL!"

"SOMEONE! HEEEEEELP!"

Stephen's eyes widened, quickly looking into his computer to search for an answer.

The explosion was enough to shake the entire castle.

"...Whew! Maybe I shouldn't have been so close… hahaha. Whoops."

"To hell with this!" Stephen said, selecting something on his computer as a P Wing was materalized as a claw came out and picked it up, then shoved it into himself as he quickly flew off, leaving his wheelchair behind, but picked up his computer. "I have another wheelchair at home anyway!"

He flew out the window right as Viola walked out. "Next customer~!" She smiled sadistically. "...Huh? …Weird. Why is his wheelchair he-..." Her eyes widened. "That bastard was faking his disease! Alright, where is that slippery bastard!"

"What was that explosion?" She wondered as she was reading a book while in zero gravity. "Mmm, probably an experiment gone wrong."

"I don't know… I feel as if that wasn't an experiment gone wrong…"

"Hmm…"

"We should check it out."

"Oh, can it wait? I'm at a really good part of this novel here."

"What are you talking abou-... oh, THAT part? I've read it. It really sucks you in! Okay, we'll leave as soon as you're finished."

A few hours later…

Myra closed the book and hurried downstairs as Viola grumbled as she was making a security system.

"I'll find another victim if I can't get that nincompoop…"

"So what was that explosion?" Myra asked.

"Oh, nothing too serious… just me exploding Bob-mas Bomb-ison for being a sexist pig like everyone else. Unfortunately, Stephen Kleptoking got away before I could melt him with the Gemite Lava." Viola responded, not paying attention to the voice.

"Wh-what…?!"

Viola backed away, smiling. "There we go, V-Defense O.S. is up and ready!" She said as she turned her head. "Oh hey Myra. …Myra! You… didn't hear any of that, did you?"

"You… you destroyed Bomb-ison?!"

"When I said destroyed, I meant… humiliating him in checkers and he accidentally exploded in rage. You know how Bob-ombs are!" She lied, laughing nervously as she quickly hurried into the lab, closing the door behind her.

Myra backed away, her hand over her mouth in shock with her eyes widened.

"How could she… she… no… no… everything's fine… she's just letting this creativity get to her head. It was probably a test dummy that looked like Bob-mas Bomb-ison. There's still good in her… yeah… she's… she's a good person. She's one of my best friends!"

Myra placed her ear next to the door, listening in.

"Phew, that was a close one. I shouldn't let my precious pet know that I'm just using her for my benefit. Everyone in the science community in the Mushroom Kingdom needs to die a horrific death with this Zuteregeon and the Grand Ztar. I need to use this Grand Ztar to brainwash Myra into obeying me-"

Myra's eyes widened in horror.

"And together, with me and a brainwashed heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom, we'll destroy everyone… and we'll save Elvis for last, really savor the moment. And then I'll be a hero of the Mushroom Kingdom as well. We'll rework the science community from the ground up with me as CEO and Myra as my lovely loyal assistant. She's incredibly stupid into thinking I'm just going to humiliate them… no… I'm going to exterminate them all!"

Myra backed away in horror, completely appalled by what she just heard.

"Myra…?"

"Why didn't I just tell myself the truth… I shouldn't have given her all those chances…" She said. "A part of me doubted her, but I still wanted to believe in her…"

A shadow was cast over her eyes, angry tears streamed down her cheeks and gritted her teeth. She raised her staff up high as a few Smorgs were created.

"Smorg Smorg?"

"Destroy all of her machines in this damn castle."

"Smorg!"

"Grandma… let's destroy her and head back to Toad Town. I've had it with this bitch."

"I couldn't agree more!"

Myra raised her hand up and threw down a Shadow Comet, blasting the door wide open.

"Huh?!"

"VIIIIOOOLAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Myra angrily walked into the door. "You were going to use me to destroy the science community? YOU WERE GOING TO BRAINWASH ME?!"

Viola grimaced. "Wait wait wait, I didn't mean it like that. That was just a joke… hahahaha! A joke! That's all that was!"

"I'M YOUR PET?!"

"That's just a term of endearment! There's no way I'd treat you on a leash! You're my best friend, My-""

A Shadow Comet slammed into her, pushing her into a wall and sending her flying out of the castle.

Viola groaned, lying on her back as she pulled out a Super Mushroom and ate it, healing herself up as she sat up, rubbing the back of her head.

At that moment, Myra landed right in front of her.

BGM: Out of Time (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)

"So that's it, then! You're going to betray me after everything we've done?" Viola asked.

"No. You've betrayed me… and the whole science community!" Myra declared, summoning the Crystal Stars as Viola pulled out a ray gun.

"Guess I got no choice but to defend myself here!"

Painted Herself Into a Corner - Viola Silverlung

Viola swiftly shot at Myra, only she Shadow Stepped out of the way and used the Diamond Star, where it launched into the air and slammed into the ground, creating a shockwave and sent crystals flying everywhere, knocking Viola to the ground.

The Garnet Star was used next, proceeding to have several Garnet Stars appear and rained down, as Viola's eyes widened and rolled out of the way as several pillars hit the ground, creating pillars that rose up and shattered like crystals, as Viola was pinned against a crystal wall.

Myra unleashed the Ruby Star, as mechanical pencils and paintbrushes were conjured up and launched at her like missiles, forcing her to get out of the way as she quickly hid behind some cover and shot at Myra, but she put up a force field to block her lasers and threw down a Shadow Comet to slam into the ground, sending Viola flying away.

"Tell me the truth!" Myra yelled. "Were you just using me for your own gain?!"

"...Rrrgh… yes! I was! I was just hoping you were too stupid to realize it until I brainwashed you into my loyal servant!"

"So we were never really friends… so be it."

Myra jumped up into the air, purple lightning crackling in her hands and launched it down, striking Viola as she was knocked back. She quickly used the Grand Ztar to have her recover as she quickly used some Zuteregeon to use as a wall, then quickly made her escape, creating another world in front of her to try to get away from her.

"Get back here, YOU COWARD!"

Myra chased after her, throwing all kinds of magic her way.

World D - Cryo Chambers

Viola swiftly hid behind a pillar, panting. "Man… you'd think you'd know a person…" She said, looking around to see nothing but ice around her. She quickly made a computer with the Grand Ztar.

"Activating Cryo Chamber."

"VIOLA!"

Viola turned around in a panic as Myra approached her. "I'm not through with you… I'm going to make sure you will NEVER leave the Kingdom of Myths ever AGAIN!"

"Rrrrgh…!" Viola growled, quickly using the Grand Ztar to create three golems for her. "Keep her busy!" She ordered as the golems were made out of rocks held together by different types of Zuteregeon.

The first Golem had the liquid Zuteregeon.

The second Golem was more frosty-like and had frozen Zuteregeon.

And the third Golem was a new type of Zuteregeon that Viola had made as the chemical in question was rubbery.

BGM: Hot! Elemental Boss Battle (Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe)

The Three Terrors - Zuteregeon Golems

"Out of my way…" Myra said coldly, a shadowy aura surrounding her as her eyes glowed a darked purple.

The first Golem swung its arms down, creating a splash of Zuteregeon where she shadow stepped out of the way and unleashed Earth Tremor, knocking the three away.

She then used the Gold Star, which half of her body had a red aura while the other half had a blue aura as she unleashed Aurora Darkness on all three, destroying the first Golem as it was swiftly liquified.

The second Golem created a blizzard with its hands before jumping in and ice punching her, but she Shadow Stepped away, but not before leaving behind a Dark Bomb that exploded upon contact, then she threw down a Shadow Comet to destroy the second one.

The third Golem stretched its limbs and grabbed a hold of her, but she unleashed Dark Meteor Swarm, slamming them down into the Rubber Golem before she unleashed a shadowy blizzard of her own, causing the Golem to turn brittle as she shook herself off and then threw a Purple Shell at it, where the explosion was enough to shatter it.

Myra swiftly walked over to the Cryo Chamber, punching it repeatedly. "VIOLA, GET OUT OF THAT THING NOW! VIOLA, DON'T YOU DARE PRETEND TO BE ASLEEP! VIOLA!"

"Myra. Look."

Viola turned her head to see the computer.

"Cryogenetic sleep - 100%. Door impenetrable.

Would you like to open it up? Y/N"

Myra closed her eyes. "Good riddance…" She said as she walked away… but stopped herself. She turned back to Viola and clenched her fists.

"No… if I leave her here, someone might actually open her up, and she'll be free."

"Are we going to stay here then?"

"Yes." Myra walked up some stairs and looked down at Viola from above. She backed into the shadows and summoned the Emerald Star.

BGM: Beyond the Door (Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMix)

"I will use this on myself where I will be frozen in time indefinitely… until the time comes when someone frees Viola."

"Understood."

Myra sighed sadly. "I'm sorry, Princess Lemony… I wish I was there with you to be given the title of Court Magician… but Viola's too dangerous to be left alive. I wish you the best, my dear friend."

She raised her arm up high. "I'm ready." She said, closing her eyes. "Goodnight, grandmother."

"Goodnight… sweet child. I'll see you when you wake up."

Myra activated the power of the Emerald Star, where it floated up into the air as Myra lowered her arm right as the Emerald Star unleashed its power, while a single tear escaped from Myra's right eye, freely flowing down before it stopped at her chin. Myra was then frozen in time before the Emerald Star lowered itself down, where all the Crystal Stars dimmed in power before their sparkling light turned off.

The tear fell from her petrified chin, but a millisecond after it left, it froze just at her chin, frozen in time.

Dry Bowser walked into the Cryo Chambers along with his posse. All of them looked around to see the remnants of a battle had taken place here.

"Goodness, it seems we missed quite a battle." Dimentio mused.

"Hmmm… fascinating…" Emperor Brr mumbled as they wandered around until they found the Cryo Chamber. Felix rubbed off the glass and saw Viola's face.

"Well, well, well… if it isn't the matchmaker." Felix grumbled.

Locus noticed the computer as he walked over to it, pressing a button as the computer screen lit up.

"Cryogenetic sleep - 100%. Door impenetrable.

Would you like to open it up? Y/N"

Locus rubbed his chin in thought before selecting the Y.

In turn, the cryochamber started to activate, restarting Viola's heart and her vital organs as the ice started to thaw her out.

Meanwhile, up above, the tear that was frozen in mid-air fell to the ground, gently splashing on the ground.

A moment later, Myra opened her eyes. She started to move and stretch. "I feel… stiff…" She mumbled as she twisted her body, cracking her back and popping her knuckles, then her neck. "Mmm, much better."

The Crystal Stars sprang to life once more as Myra grabbed her staff, rubbing her eyes. "How long was I out, grandma?"

"Quite a while, sweetie… but it seems like someone's breaking Viola out."

"Viola…?" She wondered, before her eyes widened, flashing back to what happened before she clenched her fists. "Who's doing this?"

"Look below."

Myra looked down, seeing Dry Bowser's group as her eyes widened. She failed to see King Boo as she raised her hand up. "Well, better to start this off right."

"Does anyone feel like we're about to get blasted silly?" Felix asked.

"Not entirely." Dimentio said. "Why do you ask?"

"Shadow Comet." Myra said in a monotone voice.

"I swear, we're about to get hit by somethin-" Felix looked up. "WHAT THE FU-"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The smoke settled as Dry Bowser groaned, getting up. "Is everyone alright?"

"Uuuungh…" Locus groaned as he was currently knocked out.

"Ooooh, pretty jeeps…" Felix said as Warthogs were circling around his head.

"I'm alright…" Medusa said, dusting some flames off of her dress as she used all her might into protecting the Plant child.

"That looked familiar…" Emperor Brr mumbled as he was on guard.

As for Dimentio, he was on the ground with his back turned and stars circling around him, yet he was in the infamous Family Guy death pose.

"PFFFT! HAHAHAHA!" King Boo cackled, pointing and laughing at Dimentio as he fell to the ground, rolling on the floor in hysterics with tears rolling down his cheeks while Myra landed on the ground in front of them.

"Step. away… from… I believe that's called the Cryo Chamber." Myra said.

BGM: Cassiopeia Theme (Pokemon Scarlet/Violet)

She then spotted Dry Bowser. "Wait… huh?"

"Well. Well. Well!" Shadow Queen said as she emerged out of the Amethyst Star. "Emperor Bowser. How horrible it is to see you."

"You know me?" Dry Bowser asked.

"Hmm… utter tyrant. Took over a large portion of the world… yeah, we know you." Myra nodded. "What, is necromancy popular now? That's kinda cool, but whoever did it did a half assed job with you. I mean, look at you!"

"Oh yes, you look pathetic." Shadow Queen laughed.

"I'm pathetic, am I? THEN TASTE THIS!" Dry Bowser unleashed Oblivion Fire at the two, consuming the both of them… but when the flames settled, both were unharmed. "Huh?!"

"Was that your infamous Oblivion Fire?" Shadow Queen smirked. "It has the same properties as the Shadow Fire. In the middle of your dick measuring contest with Marcus Toadstool, you decided to come to the Shadow Kingdom to see what you could find… and you found a spell book that you could enhance your abilities, and you found the right one. In good hands, Shadow Flames simply cleanses wounds. In the wrong hands, well, the darkness in the heart twists it into something horrific."

"That doesn't explain why you two are immune to it!"

"Isn't it obvious? Shadows are immune to the twisted no-good despair you call Oblivion Fire. I'm a Shadow, my granddaughter is half shadow… do you get the picture yet, you bag of bones? Your Oblivion Fire is USELESS!"

Dry Bowser's eyes widened. "Oooooh crud…"

Myra smirked. "I guess the necromancer forgot to give you a brain."

At that moment, the hatch opened up as Viola walked out, yawning. "Uuungh… morning already? Mornin' everyo-"

A laser nearly hit her in the head.

"Yack!" She flinched, seeing Myra in front of her. "Oh shit!" She whimpered.

"You and I are not done yet, you bitch. After I deal with them, I'll deal with you next." She glared as Shadow Queen conjured up magic and proceeded to unleash a laser that destroyed her computer.

"Oh dear, I destroyed your machine that kept you frozen. You're stuck here now!"

Shit! Viola grimaced.

At that moment, Medusa sprang into action and got in front of Viola. "You're not going to harm her. We could use her scientific mind."

Myra growled. "We'll see about that…"

Dry Bowser groaned. "My Oblivion Fire is useless… can this get any worse?!" He wondered, causing everyone to look at him oddly. "What?"

"You said that forbidden phrase…" Medusa grimaced.

"What are you talking abou-"

"EMPERADOR BOWSEEEEEEER!"

Dry Bowser flinched. "...Shit."

El Cinco stormed in, guns in hand. "Tú fuiste quien destruyó mi hogar en tu invasión! Ahora debes pagar por tus crímenes!" (You were the one who destroyed my home in your invasion! Now you must pay for your crimes!)

Dry Bowser grimaced and turned to Medusa. "Why didn't you warn me?!"

"How could I have known YOU WOULD SAY THAT?!" Medusa shot back.

"Oh, hello El Cinco." King Boo greeted.

"Hola Rey Boo." El Cinco greeted, then spotted Myra. "Señorita Myra?" He asked in surprise.

"Hey bud." Myra waved.

"Cómo sigues vivo después de todo este tiempo?" (How are you still alive after all this time?)

"It's a long stor-... wait, King Boo?" Myra asked, surprised she hasn't seen him yet.

King Boo's face changed. "Myra… it's been ages!"

I'm at a major disadvantage here… though I have friends here, I guess. But they stand no chance with Myra… I gotta do something so she'd stop breathing down my neck! Viola thought before an idea came to her. She immediately pulled out the Grand Ztar.

"O Grand Ztar, hear my plea. Separate Myra's Crystal Star bullshit away from us!" She pleased as the Grand Ztar lit up and unleashed a shockwave that knocked Myra back, sending the Crystal Stars flying away and separating them around the world, minus the one attached to her staff.

"No!" Myra exclaimed.

"All of your Crystal Stars are now separated in the world, Myra. Now I at least have a chance to stand against yoooooooouu-still have the Ameythst Star. Shit…"

"We can still win this…" Myra said. "Can't we?"

"We only have one Crystal Star, but it's the one you made, so we might have a chance here as it's on par with the other Stars." Shadow Queen said, disappearing into the Amethyst Star.

"Right!" Myra nodded as she and El Cinco stood together. "Emperor Brr, why do you stand with them? Viola's the one who destroyed your home!"

"Mmm…" Emperor Brr looked conflicted. "On the one hand, that's true… but on the other, you never tightened her leash. I'm sorry, Myra… I'm not sure who's side I should be on here."

"You're on the winning team!" Felix said.

At that moment, Dimentio got back up, groaning. "Rrrgh… I do NOT take lightly to being sneak attacked like that!" He said, getting in front of Myra with a growl.

"Mind if I join you?" King Boo asked, floating up side by side with Myra.

BGM: Battle: The Darkest Lord (Miitopia)

Heroine of Mushroom Kingdom's Past - Myra Shadowheart

Myra conjured up shadow flames that were akin to Oblivion Fire as she quickly threw them at Felix, while also putting up a crystal barrier to block bullets coming her way while El Cinco proceeded to unleash a flurry of bullets at them all.

Dimentio quickly teleported up in the air and used pillars of light at Myra, where she shadow stepped out of the way while King Boo fired lightning at him, where DImentio blocked with his Keyblade, but it was strong enough to push him away.

Medusa put the Psycho Piranha down where it quickly unleashed telekinetic energy beams at the trio while Emperor Brr quickly threw large sharp snowflakes at them.

Dry Bowser side eyed El Cinco and with a smirk, he used Oblivion Fire on him that engulfed him in flames, but Myra put her hand on El Cinco, chanting a spell where she absorbed the Oblivion Fire, which she then used to heal him up.

"Gracias, senorita!"

You gotta be kidding me! Dry Bowser thought.

Myra shoved her staff into the ground, unleashing Downbeat, which summoned a flurry of magically projected bats and swarmed the group, hitting them from all angles as King Boo fired will o wisps, freezing Dimentio and Felix on the spot.

Damn… should I join in or…? Viola thought. …You know what, why not! She smirked as she used the Grand Ztar. "Give me power!" She exclaimed, proceeding to get a Fire Flower as she absorbed it as she jumped up and shot Myra from above with fiery laser storms.

"Mmm… so you've decided to stop hiding like a coward." Myra said.

"Had I known you were going to betray me, I would have killed you!"

"Too late, four eyes."

Myra unleashed Dark Diamond Saw, hitting them all as Dry Bowser jumped over and swiped at Myra, but she shadow stepped out of the way and gave him a present, which was a Dark Bomb that exploded.

She raised her staff in the air. "Bittersweet Storm!"

The Amethyst Star glowed, creating copies of Amethyst Stars as it rained down on Dry Bowser and his allies. The copies were also joined with Poison Mushrooms and Shadow Hearts. Unfortunately for Dimentio, he got all the Poison Mushrooms, no matter how hard he tried to dodge.

"You think this will stop us!" Dry Bowser roared…. or at least, that's what he would say if Bittersweet Storm didn't mute the bag of bones. In fact, Emperor Brr and Medusa were blinded as well.

Why can't I speak? …CRUD! Dry Bowser thought as El Cinco shot him up and knocked the emperor down as King Boo rammed into Dimentio.

Viola jumped back, holding the Grand Ztar. "O Grand Ztar, hear me… weaken the heroine of the Mushroom Kingdom and her allies. Make us stronger while we're at it for a limited time!"

At that moment, Myra grunted, feeling herself get weaker along with her allies as Viola and co felt stronger as Dry Bowser punched the ground, creating a massive shockwave as Myra quickly put up a shield, but it was destroyed and knocked the three down.

"Temporarily take away their abilities!" Viola ordered as Myra's staff and guns disappeared. "Now make us strong to where we kill Myra!"

King Boo got in the way. "You'll have to go through the both of us!" He said. "Both of us are dead, we can take it!"

"Corra, señorita Myra! Estaremos justo detrás de ti!" (Run, miss Myra! We'll be right behind you!)

Myra growled, clenching her fists. "Viola… you are such a pain in the ass… mark my words, I'll destroy you when the time comes!" She said as she took off running.

At that moment, El Cinco shot the Grand Ztar the moment his guns returned, which in turn caused it to weaken. "Ya no eliminará nada!" (No longer will it remove anything!)

"Run, El Cinco. I'll hold 'em off! Make sure Myra is well taken care of!" King Boo said as El Cinco nodded, quickly leaving as King Boo held them off a bit longer, until he too proceeded to disappear into a wall.

"Cowards!" Felix called out. "Heh, morons."

"I'm back in business, baby. I can restart my conquest." Viola chuckled. "The science community will-"

SLAP!

"Ow!" Viola yelped, rubbing her cheek as she looked at an annoyed Felix and Dry Bowser. "What was that for?"

"YOU MADE US KISS IN THAT DAMNABLE LOVE TUNNEL, YOU BITCH!" Felix yelled with Dry Bowser folded his arms.

"Love Tunnel… what are you-" Viola's eyes widened, sparkling. "You two actually got married in the tunnel? Oh happy day! So which one of you is the bride and groom?"

Cross veins appeared on their foreheads as they both slammed their fists into her head, creating two massive goose eggs.

"Owwwwwwww… whyyyyyy?" Viola groaned with anime tears running down her cheeks.

"So, what did I miss?" Dimentio asked.

"Apparently, Myra has the Shadow Queen by her side." Dry Bowser said, after his voice came back.

"Ah, so she does have the Shadow Queen with he-..." His eyes widened. "Wait… the Shadow Queen is in play…"

"And the Shadow Queen will potentially be with the heroes…" Medusa whispered.

Both her and Dimentio looked at each other in horror. "OH SHIT!" They both yelled in unison.

Viola rubbed her head. "So tell me… are the Gadds gone for good?"

"Actually, no." Dimentio said. "The current one is Elvin Gadd along with his wife, Amelia Gadd. On top of that, their granddaughter is Jade Gadd, and she's quite the brilliant scientist, if I'm being honest… too bad she can't get a tan to save her life… ahahahaha. Though she's got a scientist girlfriend named Futaba Sakur-"

"WAIT, TIME OUT." Viola yelled. "You mean to tell me… the Gadds are alive and well… and they have a young lady that happens to be a Gadd… as potentially a top scientist…"

"Pretty much."

Viola's eye twitched as her head started to turn red, steam coming out of her ears. "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! ELVIS GADD IS NOT ONLY A SEXIST PIG BUT HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO HAVE HIS OFFSPRING BE A WOMAN AND SHE'S A SMART SCIENTIST TO BOOT?! AUUUUUGH! FUCK YOU NEPOTISM FUCK! YOOOOOUUUUUU!"

"What's with her?" Felix asked with Dry Bowser shrugged.

"Uuuugh…" Locus slowly got up, groaning. "What'd I miss?"

With Myra…

Myra punched a tree in frustration after making sure to be away from Acidtail. "Dammit! I didn't destroy her and I've been weakened by that stupid Ztar… not only that, but the Crystal Stars are all gone…"

"I wish I had an answer to help out, hon…"

"Senorita!" El Cinco came walking over. "Adónde te dirigirás ahora?" (Where will you be heading now?)

"I guess… I'll be heading back to the Mushroom Kingdom." Myra said in defeat. "Lick my wounds and… figure out what to do."

"Puedo sugerir que descansemos en la Ciudad de Nil como parada en boxes? Te despediré desde allí." (Might I suggest we rest at the City of Nil as a pitstop? I'll see you off from there.)

"Okay. Where's King Boo?"

"Defenderlos. Creo que se pondrá al día. Aunque no tengo idea." (Fending them off. I think he'll catch up. I have no idea though.)

BGM: My Friend and the Setting Sun (Kirby Super Star Ultra)

"Sounds good…" Myra nodded as she looked up at the night sky, seeing Remnant's moon and the Death Egg. "Huh… since when were there two moons? In fact, it looks like there's a fight going on up above…" She wondered before shaking her head. "Never mind."

"Lidera el camino." (Lead the way.)

The duo set off for the Mushroom Kingdom, heading straight for the Castle of Vendetta, seeing the aftermath of the fight between her and Viola.

"Smooooorg!"

Myra looked up to see a lone Smorg hopping from the destroyed wall. It hopped down and hopped over to her as Myra knelt down, picking it up. It nuzzled happily against her and then hopped up on her shoulder. Myra smiled and petted it as they walked past the Castle of Vendetta.

They then walked through the Estate, taking the time to burn everything that had Viola's image on it before the whole place burned to the ground behind them. She held a bust of Viola in her hand that she kept… before throwing it to the ground and shattered it upon impact.

They proceeded to walk around the Luigi Robot before making their way into World A. Myra looked at the wandering mechanical civilians as she teared up at the sight before walking further off. El Cinco patted her in the shoulder as they continued onward until they left the Minus World.

Myra took a deep breath, smelling the familiar scent of familiarity as they walked through the Underground Monty Mole area, waving at the Monty Moles, unaware of what they were making by orders of Emperor Bowser.

They walked through the reserve, seeing a lot of Pokemon wander around. She looked at them curiously as some Sentret walked up to her out of curiosity. She knelt down and petted them as a Hoothoot landed on her shoulder. Myra smiled and petted the Hoothoot as well before they walked further away, leaving the reserve after petting a Plusle and Minun.

They soon made it into the Coast of the Abandoned, which was at an eerie calm as they descended the cliffs where Myra looked at the damage that was caused by Viola. Tears overwhelmed her as she wiped her eyes. Countless lives were lost because of Viola's carelessness.

Eventually, they made it into the Gemite Forest, Myra munching on a few Gemite fruit and giving some to the Smorg, where it happily nibbled on a Gemite Apple slice.

They then walked into the Zuteregeon Icelands, where her heart dropped at the state of the place. She knew very well that all of them were dead, save for Emperor Brr himself. She closed her eyes in shame and walked faster to get through the area, tears streaming down her eyes as she kicked herself for not stopping Viola sooner.

They soon made it to King Boo's mansion, where several Boos surrounded Myra, happy to see her again as Myra gave them a sad smile and kept walking. King Boo arrived and watched Myra and El Cinco leave. He frowned sadly and gave her a wave. Myra stopped, turning around to see King Boo and waved back.

King Boo gave her a friendly smile before turning around to go back into his mansion.

She saw the crystal in King Boo's head as she turned around, now overwhelmed with emotion as she fell on her knees and sobbed as the Smorg and El Cinco went to comfort her.

Myra found her strength once more as she stood up, descending Banshee's Retreat where they saw the City of Nil far into the distance as they started to enter the desert.

"Una vez que hayas descansado, dirígete al Reino Champiñón." (Once you are rested, make way to the Mushroom Kingdom.)

"Thank you for keeping me company, El Cinco…"

"De nada."

They continued to walk through the desert… when they heard an explosion. They looked up to see the Death Egg coming in hot before slamming into the City of Nil, creating another explosion.

El Cinco dropped his guns in shock while Myra put her hands over her mouth in horror as they were knocked back from the shockwave. When they collected themselves, they hurried over… where they saw nothing but debris from both the city and the Death Egg.

El Cinco fell on his knees, his hands over his head while Myra couldn't believe what she just witnessed.

"Smoooo…" The Smorg whispered.

El Cinco closed his eyes before collecting himself and standing up.

"Supongo que estaré contigo un rato más…" (I suppose I'll tag along with you a little while longer…)

"...Rest at the Great Pipe Maze?"

"Si."

Hoooooly mooooly... this one went on longer than I thought. I knew this would be a tad longer, but I didn't think it'd be THIS longer. We're talking 20K in this Gaiden. Apologies for it being so long.

Indeed... thank you Cody and Yoshi for this epic Lost Level saga. And now I get to rest... possibly play Super Mario Wonder that I got for my 27th birthday yesterday. It's really fun, I'm almost done with world 2! (I'm mostly playing as Daisy. Who'd you play as the most?)
