Today Bella got up early to go shopping in Seattle with us, she must have still been sleepy, as she slept quite a while in the car on the way there drooling against the window and mumbling in her sleep. I drove, as there was no way I was letting Alice behind the wheel with Bella in the car.

Jasper, inexplicably, cannot drive. He has failed his test no less than 27 times and has called it quits permanently. At this point I think he is waiting for flying cars or something. I saw him driving once, or failing to. He kept yelling 'giddy up' to the car and kicking the pedals. I guess old habits die hard. Jasper would travel exclusively on horseback if he could, but alas, they are terrified of him.

I made good speed while Bella was asleep and we made it to Seattle in ninety minutes. Luckily Bella was still so sleepy when we arrived that she didn't notice how fast we had travelled. The journey would have taken her almost four hours, though her truck is unlikely to have survived the ordeal.

I tried hard to avoid splitting off with Jasper, but Alice insisted that she have some 'girls' time', though what on Earth girls do in that time is beyond me.

Jasper took me to the Apple store and we had purchased a new computer within the hour. I asked if they had one with a business card holder, but they looked at me like I was quite insane. They call themselves geniuses, but I quite disagree! We then headed to an electronics store to get a Wacom tablet, as per Bella's excellent suggestion. Jasper also seemed to think this would suit me well.

We visited a book shop, where I got some extra volumes for the Forks library project, then I picked up some watercolours and new brushes at a specialist art supply store. After that we waited in the car for the next four hours until Alice finally returned with a bedraggled and most exhausted looking Bella. Alice had so many bags it was a struggle to fit them all in, Bella had only bought books and Alice was quite vexed about this, but hid it well for the first part of the journey back. After Bella's resonant snoring filled the Volvo we chatted in whispers that would be inaudible to her even if she were awake.

Alice said she was a hopeless case when it came to shopping and wants to institute a re-education program that sounded suspiciously fascistic. I shall entreat Carlisle to intervene. It is the only thing that has been known to stop Alice when she gets like this.

A/N: Please leave a review! Thanks so much to my wonderful beta wh1teow1, please show some love and read Moirai, a reimagining of Twilight for the new decade!

Jasper has set up my new computer, so I am going to try it out now and see if I can get it to dial up to the internet, then I can message Bella! Huzzah!
