In biology today we were assigned our last lab before finals week. We had to identify different cell types from an assortment of unlabeled microscope slides that we were given in pairs.
Usually a chance to work with Bella results in us chatting quite happily now that we are used to working together, but she seemed quite downcast today. She worked through the lab with me, speaking when necessary and only about the task at hand. When I asked if she was ok she assured me she was fine, when I asked if she preferred a coke or sprite at lunch time she told me not to bother and again said that it was fine.
If everything is fine then why do things feel strange between us?
