A/N: Okay, I just need to say this as to avoid confusion. Back in Triangle Torture, I wrote it that Beast Boy has never transformed into the Beast before, like the original show episode, The Beast from Within, didn't happen. And who could blame me, that episode was so off in execution. And yet I acknowledge some of it here early, even though I wrote the Beast never happened in this continuity. So here's a compromise for my FTTG continuity. Some of it did happen, but anything having to do with beasts and such didn't. It was just the Adonis fight, Beast Boy being aggressive, and then leaving when told to leave. I don't know what happens after that but this isn't about that episode. This was just a clarification.

A robotic monster was rampaging through Jump City, slashing at anything that was unfortunate enough to be near it. The titans just came to see the destruction themselves. Robin spoke to them as leader.

"Starfire, Raven, you take it from the front, while Cyborg and I will take the back. Beast Boy, Jinx, you'll do best on ground level. Titans, GO!" The two flight capable girls flew off towards the air while Cyborg transformed into a jetpack so they can pincer maneuver the enemy. Jinx jumped first while Beast Boy following, intending to transform into a pterodactyl, but his body didn't change to his shock, so the green teen fell to the ground screaming. Jinx noticed this, so she sent a wave of pink energy at a fire hydrant, which exploded off its spot clanging right against the monster robot's head, creating a small crack. Beast Boy fell into the water, and thanks to the pressure, he slowed down before slipping off, managing to land on his feet and hands while Jinx landed on a tent like store front meant to shelter the front door from rain and made to the ground gracefully on her feet.

"You okay Beast Boy?" The metahuman asked confused.

"Uh, yeah! I got this." He tried brushing off, but she could detect uncertainty in his voice.

"Well then, we'll have to move like cheetahs if we're going to dodge those legs.

"Right, cheetah time then!" He agreed as they ran, though she also noted he didn't transform this time either, only going as fast as someone imitating a cheetah.

"Come on Grass Stain! You're embarrassing yourself!" The pink haired witch told him as she sent her powers into the ground, causing a man hole cover to be shot up due to a bursting amount of pressure underneath to shoot the cover into one of the joints of the robot's legs near its body, hindering its movement and offense, screeching at them. "Turn into a rhino or something to topple this thing!"

"Hey, I know what I'm doing!" He defended himself angrily, surprising the fellow titan. Looking around, he saw a telephone pole and got an idea. Running to it, he went to it, picked up a rock and threw it at the monster's glass covered face. Turning to the green teen, he had the audacity to moon the thing, making all the titans gasp and cry out in disgust. "Hey, big ugly monster! You look as dumb as you're ugly!" Somehow becoming enraged, he swiped a bladed limb at the changeling whom ducked, causing the pole to topple over and slam into the robot. It may have been built to withstand the power of the titans, but 12,000 volts of continual electricity was enough to short circuit the foe, and crashed down defeated. All the titans in the air regrouped with Jinx and Beast Boy.

"Beast Boy, what was that? Why didn't you transform? You could've been killed!" He yelled at the youngest member while poking into his chest. Beast Boy swiped it away looking annoyed.

"I'm just having an off day is all, bro. Get off my back already!"

"If this is just like the time were a huge jerk and-" Robin stopped himself, and actually it was them that were the aggressors to a chemical drugged, hormone raging Beast Boy who was innocent all along, and thus breathed himself down and calm before speaking again. "Sorry. I was nearly stepping out of line. But Beast Boy, if there's anything you're having trouble with, please tell us. Nobody is the bad guy here." Looking between his friends and team leader, the green teen sighed and crossed his arms.

"Alright. I don't know, really. I've been having a headache so maybe that's it." He lied while crossing his arms.

"Raven, is he telling the truth?"

"Yes. I would've felt something if he lied."

"Okay then. Let's go get some pizza, have a low key day, go to bed, and if your headache isn't better by morning, then we'll have to check you out in the infirmary."

"Fine." Beast Boy grumbled. Raven called the scrapyard that they'll be expecting new damaged parts, and then made a portal so they could go home.

Beast Boy was grumbling in his sleep, trying to sleep off his headache. As he slept, his voice would sound animalistic, sounding like a wolf with a growl, or chirping like a chicken the next. Grunting like an alligator, and then clicking as an insect. In his mind, when the flash of a certain beast in his mind flashed angrily, the boy yelled in fright as he sat up, panting in cold sweat while holding his head from a worse headache. Waiting until he calmed down, Beast Boy in his pajamas went out of his room and went to Raven's knocking on her door. A minute passed before his girlfriend opened it up.

"Beast Boy? What are you doing up so early?"

"Something is wrong with me Rae." He groaned in response, holding his head. "I wanted to talk to you first...before everyone else."

"Of course." She led him into her room, expressing concern. The two sat down on her bed, and she took his hands. "Go ahead. I'm listening." The half-demon girl told him softly. The shapeshifter sighed dejectedly.

"I...I know what's happening with me now. I can't transform, but it's not because of the headache alone." He looked at her in the eyes. "I can't transform, because something inside of me isn't letting me."

"What is it?"

"I don't know. I think it's my animal side. It's like a werewolf, but it's like it represents every animal I can turn into."

"I remember. When Gaea got me, you transformed into this ultra aggressive werewolf, and took her down easy. When she started pleading for you to kill her, you didn't though, and reverted back. So I've seen what you've partially described."

"Huh. So, as I was saying, he thinks I've become too sophisticated. That despite my name, I'm not a beast, but a human. Has there been any changes about me I haven't realized?" He inquired. Raven thought about it for a few minutes.

"Now that you mention it, you have been more...civilized as of late. You take showers more often, you're not as annoying in behavior and have taken more moral responsibility. You're not as immature at playing videogames, not as much as a messy eater, your humor isn't as crass along with your dancing is more refined, you take more effort to be considerate and you don't smell as bad. It's like you're finally acting less like a thoughtless animal, and more like a...human." After listening to her listing, Beast Boy gasped.

"That must be it! I've grown too comfortable in society, and thus I'm not as Beast Boy as I could be! I'm just...a boy!"

"Beast Boy, you are who you are, even without your powers." She tried reassuring him.

"But without my powers, how can I be a hero?" The green teen started to cry. "Without my powers, who am I if I'm not Beast Boy?" As he cried, a pair of hands clasped themselves around his face as tears streamed down his face.

"You're my boyfriend. Even if you're not Beast Boy, you're still my boy to love." She affirmed, tears appearing in her eyes. Breaking down, he cried over her shoulder as they hugged, letting his emotions ride out. "There there Beast Boy. I'm here Beast Boy. I'm here." The scene then transitions where it's now the living room with all the titans awake, in their pajamas, and having just heard of his plight.

"I'm also here for you Beast Boy. Whatever you need, I'll help you. You hear me?" Robin told his fellow titan.

"Beast Boy, you have always trusted me enough to divulge secrets before anyone until now. But still, I am glad you told me this, because I can confidently say do not let this development bring you down too much. You are like the little brother to me, so I will not give up on you Beast Boy. So do not give up on yourself as well." Starfire asked of him while giving him a comforting hug, along with Raven whom was still close within shoulder length.

"Beast Boy...I'm not good with these kind of things but..." Jinx looked anxious as she moved a few strands of hair behind her right ear. "...I'm sorry for calling you embarrassing. I see now you feel really bad about yourself...and I get that. I know what it's like to have an identity issue, even if it's more of a power and moral conflict than direct loss of powers. The point is...I thought that if people were just going to see me as a villain without my powers, then let me be a villain. But...you guys showed me it's possible to turn a villain around. You guys showed me that I could do, and be seen as good." The pink haired metahuman started to cry herself. "Dang it. Now all this emotional mush is making me cry." Snorting up snot, she tried recomposing herself. "But in a way, me crying shows how much you guys really mean to me now. Especially when you told me that I was a real titan Beast Boy. Thank you." The changeling smiled and nodded.

"Beastie, you're my best bro. Ever since we've met, you helped me not feel like a monstrous freak for the first time. I know I'm awesome because of you. If there's anything I can do for you, I'd be happy to help." Cyborg proclaimed to his little grass stain.

"I'm glad you told me this instead of keeping this secret." Raven said. "While our secrets are our own, we shouldn't have to keep them in if they're hurting us. Even now, I remember when you and Cy helped me in Nevermore the first time, and I said I liked you. Back then I didn't think liking you would lead to me falling in love..." Tears trailed down her cheeks. "...but I'm glad it did." Just like for Raven when her gem was cracking, this time all of them were hugging Beast Boy. Raven even kissed him on the forehead. And this time instead of emotions being restrained, the shapeshifter flat out bawled out his eyes in heartfelt tears and sobs.

"Oh man, you guys are the best! I love you all so much!" As they took in all of his emotional breakdown, they waited until the ride was over and Beast Boy stopped crying.

"So, what are you going to do now Beast Boy?" The titan leader questioned.

"First, we go back to sleep. I'm exhausted after all that. But then after breakfast, waffles with lots of syrup, we need to go to Africa."

"Africa? What for?" Cyborg asked in confusion.

"Because that's where my powers came from."

Riding in the T-Plane, the titans were heading to Africa at sub-sonic speeds, though they had to make a pitstop in Maine for gas 5 hours in. While they loaded up, they ate at a nearby diner. Jinx spoke up for playful conversation,

"You know, that's two times within several weeks we've done that group hug thing. This better not become a regular thing or else it'll get too mushy for me to stay around long." They could tell she was just joking.

"Eh, I wouldn't worry about it." Cyborg shrugged. "We know Star's past, Raven's past is at this point is wrapped up in a bowed present, Robin would probably feel uncomfortable with all of us hugging him at once, same for you I'd imagine, and while they don't know all the details, they know what hardships I went through so I don't need a group hug. I mean, it would be nice but it's not needed."

"Well, at least that's established then." The pink haired witch nodded.

"But do not the worry, if you ever need the help, we will be there for you too, friend Jinx." Starfire told her fellow female titan.

"Yeah. Maybe we can go on another girls night out after all this." Raven suggested with a smile. Jinx returned it.

"Yeah, that would be fun."

"Hopefully boys night out will be better this time than it was last." Beast Boy shrugged.

"I hear ya bro. Maybe next time we'll bring along Titans East so that villains will think twice about ruining it." Cyborg proposed as he held out a fist, which Beast Boy knocked with a smile.

"Oh yeah, we should also bring along Bumblebee. She should get the chance to hang with us more often than with all of her male friends over in Steel City." Jinx brought up. Starfire gasped with joy.

"That is something you nearly said word for the word in a dream I had! We were having a slumber party in my dream, we did the candor and audacious undertaking, and finally a pillow fight! My room was messy when I woke up but it was so much fun!"

"I don't know." The pink haired witch sounded hesitant.

"Don't worry, if Bumblebee is anything like us, then it shouldn't be too girly." Raven assured. Both shuddered before laughing. Robin's voice rang through their communicators.

"We're now full, titans. Take off is in 10 minutes."

"Check please!" Cyborg yelled.

Once they were all full, Robin having ate his fill with snacks from the on plane fridge, they flew over the Atlantic, taking about 9 hours. By the time they made it to their destination, it was around 10:30 at night. They landed in Bakamo, Mali which was the closest city to where Beast Boy wanted to go. In order, the titans went to sleep in a hotel, woke up to have breakfast, and rented a light grey off-road SUV Jeep, and set out towards the Southeast, hoping to travel the remaining 150 miles before the African heat becomes unbearable. Luckily, by the time they were getting close, it was only a little after 8 AM, a couple of hours after starting. Eventually, they made it. Beast Boy's African home. To the titan's surprise, the village of 150 people was a perfect combination of traditional and modern. While the buildings and houses were covered in grass likely to absorb the heat, the material underneath were made of mud bricks, yet they had solar panels on the roofs which provided both light and AC inside, indicated by hanging lightbulbs and boxes with wires in the windows. The people either wore traditional Fula garb, or beige colored t-shirts, khakis and sandals, though their hats were still the traditional tengaade hat. Wells were frequently seen so this village didn't have to worry about water shortages. Cattle was seen just as much. Even their physical form of music has been updated. Their musical instruments, while made of natural material of the local area, were fashioned in a way that seemed modern like you would find in a US music store. Once the titans got out, the surrounding people got excited and swarmed Beast Boy, greeting and conversing with the ecstatic green teen while the others were confused. They could understand it was a reunion, but none of them knew any African languages. Once the greeting reception was over, Beast Boy waved to them.

"Alright guys, follow me." As he walked, they followed.

"Beast Boy, this is where you were before going to the States that are United?" Starfire asked.

"Yep! It's where I was even born in fact. I mean, not this exact location since the Fula are nomads, but I was born in the general area with this group."

"Wait, all this time you've been a citizen of Africa?" Jinx questioned. "I'm sorry, and I don't mean to be rude when I ask this, but are you a legal US citizen? I have no problems with immigrants but how did the government react? What even is your biological ethnicity since I've only seen you green?"

"I'm Caucasian, like Robin, and they knew who my parents were, and I entered the US with the Doom Patrol. That's all I have to say about that. For now at least." He answered, growing self conscious about it. "Look, I know you have a lot of questions, but they'll have to wait until-there it is." The changeling pointed a house that looked similar to all the rest, but did appear to be a bit more stylized. "You dudes wait out here for a couple of minutes. I need a moment." Knocking on the door, it opened to show a middle aged man who looked slightly out of shape, but not terribly so.

"Garfield?! Oh merci les dieux! Tu m'as tellement manqué!"

"Papa! Tu me manques tellement, toi et tout le monde ici !" (A/N: I tried using an English to Fula translator, but I couldn't find one that didn't require personal information, and Arabic was a bit too confusing, so I went with French, which is Mali's official language.) The two went inside to chat. The tians stayed outside while listening to a happy conversation they couldn't understand. Well, Robin understood but didn't say anything. Cyborg turned on a fan that lightly blew against his head while Jinx brought out some gum to chew. Then the door opened, Beast boy showing them in. "Come in, come in. Don't bother wiping your shoes, it's as dusty in here as it is out there. Just how I like it." The inside looked simple enough. There was an area for sleeping, the the main room they were in was a living room/kitchen with drawers made of mud, including a sink, and a tv set to the back wall. In the center were two chairs which Beast Boy and the man sat in, along with five other chairs, which they took, though Cyborg accidently broke his upon sitting down.

"Uh, sorry man." He said sheepishly.

"Haha, don't worry. We can always just make another one. And please, call me King Tawaba, or just Tawaba" He chuckled in English, mildly surprising everyone.

"Yeah, Papa Tawaba is my adoptive dad, and chief of this tribe. He knew my parents, along with most of everyone here."

"So does your Papa have any connection to you having powers, bro?" Cyborg asked.

"Not directly, but he's played an important part of my life." The green teen answered. Taking a deep breathe in and then out, he looked at his friends. "Let me tell you how it all began. My father was was a smart guy. Used to be a medical doctor specializing in biological research. His last scientific breakthrough was figuring out how to de-evolve something, like a small little lizard of today into a dinosaur of the past! But then I got sick at 5 years old. I don't personally remember a whole lot, it was explained to me, but I was bitten by a green monkey, and was infected with Sakutia, a type of feverous malaria, and there was no cure for humans. But then my dad had the thought of using his breakthrough on me, by turning me into a green monkey for a whole day to combat the disease. I was cured, if perpetually green. But from then on, I could turn into any animal once I figured out how to do it! I even saved mom from a black mamba apparently. But then..." Beast Boy stopped, memories he long ago blocked out began to resurface. "...the rain season came. Our camp was washed away in a flood. They told me to fly away as a bird. They told me they loved me, as they fell over some falls." The changeling went quiet. Robin tightened the grip of his hands over his knees, the latex creaking as he remembered his parents. Different circumstances, but the same outcome. Raven looked down, scrunching up some of her cloak with her hands. Jinx just looked away while crossing her arms, though she did show signs of sympathy on her face. Cyborg and Starfire were the most emotional as they cried into each other's arms with tears streaming down their faces.

"That's so terrible!" The metallic titan cried.

"It is so the unfair!" The alien princess agreed. Everyone had to wait for the two to stop crying before Beast Boy resumed.

"And for about three years, I lived with Tawaba. However, that's as much as I can explain for today."

"What?! You're cutting off?! But I want to know how you came to the US! How you came to be associated with the Doom Patrol!" Cyborg pleaded, but Beast Boy wasn't budging.

"I'm sorry dude, but I need to venture out now. If you need to ask anything, my peeps here will provide. They speak English as a third language, so it shouldn't be too hard. Now, I need to get ready." The green teen stood up and left, leaving the titans stunned.

"Wow. Mind blown." Robin expressed while using his hands for effect.

"But, there is still so much of friend Beast Boy we wish to know. Tawaba, is there anything else you can tell us while he was here after his parents died?" Starfire asked the chief.

"Well, for the first month he was depressed. He didn't want to do anything. But we tried teaching him how to move on, even if the pain was still fresh, for he shouldn't wallow in the past. Over the years, he learned how to harness his powers. While he only turned into young children versions of animals, he was quite adaptable. The strength of an elephant, the speed of an ostrich, the speed of the cheetah. Eventually, he developed a sense of humor, trying to make the whole village laugh. But we all knew that it was to hide his pain, so we humored him. Give me a moment." Chief Tawaba said as he sat up, and went to his sleeping area to get a small framed picture. Placing it on the table, the titans marveled that it was a picture of a two year old Beast Boy and his parents, the young hero to be in his mommy's arms.

"So he had brown hair, and his eyes. They were blue." Raven observed, seeing her boyfriend what he was like before his change.

"He is the adorable." Starfire uttered with a smile.

"You may or may not know it, but his name is Garfield Logan. Son of Mark and Marie Logan."

"Mark Logan?!" Cyborg gasped. "I remember reading about his death years after the fact in that he was trying to invent reverse evolution. If he had patented his invention, he would've soared into the billionaire club! And even then, Mark Logan had tens of millions."

"Wait, so Beast Boy's rich?" Raven asked incredulously. Tawaba looked increasingly uncomfortable.

"Eh, not anymore. Three years after living with us, our witch doctor betrayed us and helped two bounty hunters, trying to help them find diamonds in exchange for Gar's death. Mobu died in the caves, and we never saw Gar again after that, and his family wealth dissolved across all of his extended family. As far as I know, he's as wealthy as you. And I'd say it's a lot since your friend probably is a cyborg."

"Yeah, my dad's a scientist. Silas Stone, and he works at STAR labs. He helps fund my body and the Teen Titans."

"Interesting. Well, I must say, Titans, I thank you so much for providing our little Gar with a home and family he ever so needed."

"We're lucky to have him." Raven responded, smiling.

"Alright guys, I'm ready to head out." His voice called to them. They went outside to meet Beast boy just near some tall grass. He went to his adoptive father.

"Papa Tawaba, it's been great seeing you again, and everyone else, but I came here because I lost my animal instinct and can't transform. I need to reconnect with my animal side." Hearing this explanation, the older man smiled as he stooped down.

"I understand. Remember what we've taught you. And stay safe." They then hugged.

"I will Papa." After disengaging the hug, he then went to his friends. "I don't know how long I'll be gone. So if you could stay and help with my tribe here, that would be great."

"Of course Beast Boy." Robin nodded.

"I'm going to miss you Grass Stain." Cyborg opened his arms wide.

"I'll miss you too Chrome Dome." BB then hugged his best friend before going to Raven. "Rave, I-"

"Shhhh." She quieted him with a finger to the lips. "Don't spoil this with words." Nodding, the two kissed for a good minute, before the two separated. "I love you."

"I loves you too mama. Well, here I go." Turning to the grass, he took a few steps into in, going deeper until he couldn't be seen. After a moment, his outfit, shoes and underwear were thrown out of the grass before he started running.

"Go on Beastie!" Cyborg shouted. "Run free Beast Boy! Run free!" Standing there in silence for a few minutes, Tawaba looked towards Raven.

"So, you couple, yes?" The girl then blushed and looked away.

"Yes."

"Hehe, don't worry. You remind me when he had a crush on a white girl named Jill. Their interaction wasn't long as far as I know, but what we do know, it was cute. The beauty of young romance." The chief sighed in nostalgia. Raven blushed even harder. "Anyway, you and the pink haired girl. You'll surely be cooked alive in your dark clothes. Come, we can give you clothes that's conservative, but not suffocating from the sun, then I can assign you all jobs."

As the titans followed Tawaba, Beast Boy was heading deep into the Savannah. It was all coming back to him. The lay of the land, the trees he would swing from, the grass against his skin, the dirt against his feet. He kept running faster and faster until he went onto all fours, trying to mimic the cheetah even if he couldn't transform into it. He also tried other means of moving, like prancing as an antelope or flapping his wings like a bird, but they were tiring him out. So he just stuck to walking either on two legs or four. If memory served right, he needed to find shelter. So for the next few hours, he walked through the sun bared environment trying to find nature. Mali is a nearly flat country, so there wasn't much to see rising above the horizon aside from general hills. If the sun was getting too much, he'd just take the grass surrounding him to weave a small pocket of home to recover from the excessive heat. He was lucky his tribe lived in practically on the Southern border of Mali, and not anywhere near the middle or North where it was inhospitable desert. Savannahs were much more manageable in comparison. While it wasn't easy, walking hundreds of feet at a time was on his mind while trying to find shelter. Then it was fractions of a mile, then full miles. He may have lost his animal instincts, but at least his superhero training and remembered lessons from his people helped at least make this journey not as unbearable. And due to being in the wild Beast Boy has had his close calls with animals. Some weren't as bad, gazelles prancing across his view and every now and then, and seeing families of chimpanzees, to some he barely escaped, such as wild dogs, lions and hyenas. They didn't chase after him, thanks to using his stealth in the grass and smelling the musk of carnivores nearby, but he was also barely detected by the animals, and only escaped because they didn't feel like investigating. Soon night fell and even when it was the time for him to sleep, Garfield pushed on since he was at less danger at night.

Even when it came to the more passive animals, like said gazelles, birds, tortoises and mounds of termites, they tended to evade or ignore him whenever he tried talking to them since he was human. At least there was some things to eat such as berries and grass. After two days of searching, Beast Boy finally found a cave inside of a steep hill. Covering the entrance with grass, he finally went to sleep in a place where he could listen to the instincts within.

Days passed as the titans helped with chores for the Fula community Beast Boy lived in. They each asked people what he was like while he was there as a kid.

"Oh, the boy was fun." A man replied while Cyborg was helping with fixing and cleaning some solar panels. "He would regularly pull pranks on us by moving stuff around and turning tiny, or becoming a green monkey which we'd think was a regular one. Even when we started catching on to his tricks he was always a delightful spirit to be around.

"How fascinating." Starfire remarked after hearing a story from a woman as she easily plowed through fields with a plow like it weight nothing and created lines through the earth so they could farm much faster.

"So, who was this Jill that Tawaba mentioned?" Raven asked, wearing Fula robes for the sake of not suffering heat death, her face shaded from wearing a tengaade hat. She was raising earth rings around the cattle so that they didn't wander about far from the village, but even was protecting them from predators. Jinx was with them as well also wearing Fula garb while the mother with a daughter by her side sighed.

"Ah yes, Jillian Jackson. She came as part of an African Safari tour traveling around while they stayed at the capital for a while. Gar had a crush upon seeing her, and while she thought he was weird looking, the two kids were friends until she went back to the United States. But while they were together, they were adorable together."

"Interesting." Jinx remarked while putting her power into a section of the rings, so most fell away but some remained in a formation it was like a door, which Raven refined so that they didn't crumble any further.

"So, how is it that you haven't heard of Beast Boy until now?" Robin asked Tawaba. "He's quite famous along with the rest of us."

"We just don't that great of information reach. We only hear of things from the capital every now and then and none of the news is about you titans."

"Oh. I wish we knew so you could've been reunited earlier."

"That's nice of you to say. I must thank you again for providing him everything. Family is very important, even if it's not blood."

"He's invaluable. We wouldn't trade him for anyone." The Boy Wonder said as he fixed some AC wires.

Weeks passed as Beast Boy continued to thrive. He found a river to drink from, which he found by following tracks. As he relied more and more on the skills of the animals, he was able to communicate with them again by relearning their different languages. If nights became too cold he'd borrow sand which were still warm from the sun and feel like he was sleeping on a beach. Occasionally he'd come across either the Fula, whom he'd talk to briefly, or hunters which he'd scare off thanks to his feral ferocity and ability to dodge gunshot, thanks to his superhero reflexes. Around the land he earned a couple of nicknames, like the Emerald Devil or Green Thornberry, based from that kids show. The devil part seemed to have been have credit to outsiders who didn't know any better when he started adopting animalistic traits by four weeks. Before, transforming was only a conscious choice and converted his whole body. But as Beast Boy became more beastly by nature, parts of his body turned subconsciously, learning from both the environment, situations, and his listening to the animals within. If he heard something, his ears would become that of a bats' to echolocate the noises, and even heartbeats. In the dark his eyes would become owl like. His tongue would become that of a snake to smell out scents. If something required climbing or defending himself, his nails turned into claws while his hands remained human. Even the hair on his body would grow and recede depending on the temperature he was feeling. And it wasn't just surviving he was doing. While as a human, once he was able to 'talk' to the animals, he fought them to not only think like the predators he fought, but actually feel the instinct about how to best evade, defend and attack as an animal.

By six weeks, Beast Boy has completely regained the power to become animals as a whole, even retaining to partially transform. But this wasn't the end. The green teen could feel it inside of him. The need to evolve. So by adapting the digestive track of a caterpillar, growing very acidic stomach fluids, Beast Boy started eating plants. A lot of it. For an entire day from daybreak to sunset, he did nothing but eat grass, leaves and berries. By the time night fell, the boy who are multiples of his body weight went into his cave, pulled a big rock into the entrance to with gorilla strength, and then started spinning himself a cocoon, until he was wrapped up entirely.

It's been eight weeks since Beast Boy left, and the teens were really showing signs of staying in Africa for so long. Robin has developed a healthy tan, helping out for as long as he can outdoors before risk of burns occurred. Cyborg grew half an inch of beard hair. Starfire didn't change much at all, but Raven and Jinx started becoming fair skinned even. Raven more so thanks to the more intense exposure to the sun even if it rarely actually touched her body, due to her clothes. But Jinx was as white/grey as ever. She was asked if she was albino, but the metahuman refused to answer. One day, as Robin was working on the highest building of the tribe, a shadow flew over him. Looking up, he spotted a bird. But wait, the bird is...

"Green? Beast Boy?!" He gasped. Taking out his communicator, he called to his friends, "Guys, Beast Boy's back as a bird! Go to Tawaba's house!" Leaping and rolling down to the ground, he ran to the house of the tribe chief along with everyone else. Soon enough, a green falcon started soaring towards them, only to transform into Beast Boy, wearing grass woven shorts for this reunion.

"Hey guys!" He yelled, attempting to group hug them all while falling, expecting them to catch him, but black energy surrounded him, and was gently let down with Raven's assistance.

"Yeah, don't expect us to just catch you like that. But..." They all, except Jinx, yelled out his name as they swarmed him in a big group hug.

"I missed you bro! You made it!" Cyborg praised him.

"I am full of the joy now that you have returned!" Starfire cheered.

"It's good to see you again!" Robin stated. As most of them backed off, Raven was the last to stop hugging him and took a look at her boyfriend, gasping from how different he looked. While the sclera of his eyes were still white, his iris were no longer green, but a shade of yellow/gold. The eyes of an eagle. His nose had just barely detectable by sight tiny nubs at the edges of his nostrils. The nose receptors of of the star nosed mole. Not only that, but his nose as a whole looked more canine like, but still humanoid enough. The nose of a bloodhound. He also seemed to have developed a few simian features, like how his body was much more hairier, like he had the coating of a gorilla, and what skin could been seen looked like it was ripped with pure, powerful muscle underneath. A tail wagged around through the air behind him as well.

"Beast Boy...how are you this different looking?" She asked him, stupefied by his transformation.

"I reconnected with my animal instincts. But more than that; I evolved. And with my eagle eyes, it's like I can see more of your beauty by a factor of two, Rae Rae. Oh, your skin is tanned. Even cooler." He admitted. The half-demon girl blushed, which looked even more red than normal thanks to her tan. "But yeah. You might say I underwent a metamorphosis, so now I'm not a boy becoming a beast. I am literally a Beast Boy. Check it." Backing up, his legs turned into that of a rabbit's without shrinking so that he jumped over 50 feet, then sprouting the wings of a butterfly proportionate to his body, hovering mid air. "Hey Star, catch my fist!" Morphing his right arm into that of a mantis shrimp, he flew right at the Tamaranean, whom was able to react and held out her hand as it to block the attack. Mantis shrimp are already fearsome creatures being able to deliver enough force comparable to .22 caliber bullets, but when you magnify their arms to similar sizes of the human arm with the same subsonic punching speed, his shrimp fist collided with her ready hand with incredible force. Not only did the attack smack into her palm with the volume of a gunshot, even Starfire winced as she was pushed back, her boots digging through the ground. Her hand was red as a burning ball imprint was left in her palm. However, the alien princess was more impressed than in pain.

"Wow, that was like if you put an entire car crash into my hand all at once! It really stung, but that just means that you are so much stronger!"

"All the force of a car crash into a single palm?" Cyborg questioned, looking down at his hand. "Yeah, that might've just obliterated my hand and forearm."

"I'm more impressed he just took on three animal forms at once." Jinx whistled.

"That ain't the only thing." Beast Boy said before turning into something they thought they'd never see. A Western Dragon.

"Whoa, a dragon?! But we thought you couldn't change into mythological creatures!"

"I just never thought about it yo. And besides, if I can change into alien animals, then why not try mythological as well!" He then proceeded to transform into a griffin, a minotaur, a Pegasus and a phoenix. Reverting back, Beast Boy walked to Tawaba.

"Thanks for having my friends Papa. I'll be sure to return frequently."

"I'll hold you to that. Your Teen Titan family are so great. Cherish them as you cherish us." He stooped down to hug his adoptive son.

"I will Papa." Ending the hug, Beast boy turned to his friends. "Let's head home."

"So Beast Boy, what was it like out there?" Robin asked.

"And don't forget about continuing with your backstory." Cyborg insisted.

"Don't worry, dudes. I'll answer whatever questions you have."

A/N: This was very interesting to write. So, just so you know, in terms of his appearance from now on, imagine if Young Justice Beast Boy in season 2 was given the TTG animation treatment, instead of the '03 original TT version. That's what he looks like now along with keeping the purple and black color pallet instead of red and white. So what do you think? Eris, your review was quite good, and I wish I could've included more. But the amount of backstory you mentioned was a bit too much. Not to mention how the Fula would know all of that after he was kidnapped. So ultimately, I ignored some of it in so that it wasn't excessively long and difficult to follow. Well, anyway. The next two episodes I'd like to do after Knowledge is episode 69 The Mask and Episode 71 Halloween.

For The Mask, forget the beautiful parts. That face and the alien at the end are just ridiculous. Instead, I was thinking that Robin, either willingly by choice or begrudgingly by their pestering in a humorous fashion whichever one seems more likely, reveals his identity to be Richard Grayson(I know he's called the shorter version but I'm not sure if that's a kid appropriate name. I've also tried to find if this was already done and the whole team knows that in either the '03 show and comics but the wiki guides don't say so.") After hearing he's the adopted ward of Bruce Wayne, they convince him, or bug, plead, beg, whatever, to let them experience his civilian life. So they go to Gotham, all in civilian disguises, and experience the civilian life of Richard Grayson. I don't know what Richard does and the comics certainly didn't help when I looked at videos and articles so let's both have at it. I'll look at fanfics and just come up with a general plot while you can do your own thing on your own time, and our ideas just mash together into something.

And as for Halloween, it's a combination of said Halloween episode, and the second of Spooky Figure Dance. Raven dresses up as a Pegasus(not the pretty pretty knock off ones, a regular mythology one) which they all react in their own way. The titans complain at first that Halloween's no longer fun but relent so that Raven can enjoy her first Halloween as a regular teenager. No pumpkin demons or age regressing. As they go out trick or treating, the Hive, whom now has Kid Wykkyd as a replacement for Jinx, go out to ruin the holiday for everyone, such as stealing candy, TPing people's houses, all that immature bully stuff. The titans spend the night thwarting them and learn on how to have fun on Halloween a new way: along with treating for candy, they mess with the Hive every year for a good laugh. I know it seems like I've got it pretty much figured out here, but I bet there's still some things you could put in here, like Jinx seeing the Hive after all this time. And don't worry about Jinx's costume. I've already picked it. I'm really looking forward to your response Eris.
