A pipe rose from the middle of the ground, and the five titans each jumped out. They were each dressed as the iconic video game character, Amazing Antonio. Clothes-wise, they were all exactly the same with the plumber gimmick, with the only difference being color palettes. Robin was green overalls over a red shirt, Beast Boy purple overalls over a green shirt, Starfire's pink over purple, Raven's dark blue over black and Jinx's grey over pink. They all even wore the same hats the same color as their respective shirts which somehow contained Jinx and Starfire's hair so that they didn't get in the way.
"Ooooo, a spooky house." Raven sarcastically commented as they saw a three story mansion which lit up due to a flash of lightning. "How original." Entering the mansion, they found themselves in the main lobby, which was a mostly grey featureless room with a broken staircase, too big for Robin and Jinx to jump.
"We should split up. You two fly up to the second floor. Beast Boy, Jinx and I will explore down here." Robin instructed. Everyone nodded as the girls flew up to the second floor.
"Let's take this room." The titan witch suggested as she opened the door. The three went in to see it was a music room which had multiple instruments, and a grand piano in the center. Which came to life and tried to eat them! While two of the titans were taken off guard, Beast Boy was quick to respond as he morphed into a triceratops, and rammed the piano into a wall, which unable to get its jaws around something too wide for his mouth, and was soon reduced to scraps of wood and strings. Turning back to normal, he quipped,
"Classical music was never my favorite genre."
"You're telling me." Jinx agreed as they went to the next room. This room was a library, and the paintings soon glitched into Overload as he cackled with evil laughter, letting chair and books hover into the air only to careen at them. Robin was able to dodge the incoming projectiles. Beast Boy as well when he turned into a humming bird. Jinx was the only one able to destroy them with her hexes along with evading them with ease thanks to her acrobatic skills. Soon the room was trashed. Moving on, they were in a room which oddly had a rickety bridge in the center. Robin took a step and then immediately fell down yelling, only to be then swiftly saved by Beast Boy in his pterodactyl form. Jinx also used him to leap in between and land on the other side effortlessly, smiling to herself. After passing through a mostly floor-less room with platforms, the three were shocked to see that they wound up back in the lobby. "How?! We only went in a about 90 degree turn to the right! There's no way we could've looped back already!"
"That does appear to be the unfortunate." They looked up to see Starfire and Raven looking down from the second story rails. "We have however found a star. I am not sure how it will be useful though."
"Maybe we should check the shack." Beast Boy suggested. I spotted it before we entered here in the first place."
"Then let's go." Robin said. The group then went to the shed where it appeared to be empty, but there was a red platform in the center. The star Starfire collected earlier flew over the platform and unlocked it. Stepping onto it, it lowered down below the floor and into underground where it appeared to be was filled hip first underwater. although that wasn't true for all of them. The water made it to Robin's hips while it also reached Beast Boy's ribcage and Starfire's upper thighs due to their different heights. Once the water level lowered to down below their shoes as the floor inclined up, Raven removed the water from their clothes since it was chilly. Two big sets of doors, which glitched meaning that they weren't meant to be there, opened up to reveal Overload, in his big old familiar form.
"So meat bags, getting tired of playing my new game?"
"It's not your game to begin with." Robin growled. "We're going to shut you down."
"Try it!" The artificial intelligence roared as it leapt forward with an enlarged fist. Raven created a force field which stopped the electrified attack. Starfire in retaliation blasted through a hole she made and thus pushed the electrical monster back with a grunt. Throwing a fist out, Overload tried hitting her but the Tamaranean warrior evaded along with the other dodging. However, the fist U-turned back and hit the female titan regardless, making her scream as the villain kicked her into a wall strong enough to crack the stone, leaving an indent of her body.
"Come on, we have to fight together!" Raven tried to encourage her friends. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Spreading her soul-self into her friends, their clothes became black as they've momentarily gained her powers. With confident smiles, each of them went on their own offense. Robin and Jinx fired at Overload with Raven's energy while Beast Boy used grasshopper legs to deliver kicks which safely landed powerful blows against the artificial intelligence. Overload shouted in annoyance as it backhanded Beast Boy away and blasted the two other titans away.
"Give up! Overload is invincible!"
"Not against water." Raven retorted as she created a portal to drown the electrical monster in water from the tunnel before. Overload buzzed violently as it began to weaken. Growing too weak, it retreated to the next level via the back doors of the room. Raven sighed as the half-demon girl fell to her knees a bit winded, not used to spreading her powers so wide in succession.
"Raven, are you okay?" Garfield went to her side. She replied,
"I'm okay. I just need a moment to catch my breath."
"We've only got a minute." Robin told her. "The longer Overload stays in the game, the longer he has to become more powerful and harder to beat."
"I do hope we can beat it. I do not wish to think about if Overload gets its way." Her boyfriend placed a hand on her shoulder.
"We will win. After all, now we have more than video game bragging rights to win here. Raven, you ready?" The sorceress gave a nod. "Okay, let's go then."
A/N: Hey, sorry for the interruption. I was originally going to include a jungle level where it was going to be a recreation of Metal Gear Solid 3 with Overload being a more aggressive The End split into six copies, but as I looked at the boss battle and tried to think in a way of how to do what it did, nothing all that good was coming to my head. It was either just lots of description of stalking around in the nature and shooting at each other with bullets and Overload can't be hurt with bullets, or a full out war which wouldn't have stayed true to the game level so we're skipping to the next level. Sorry for my inability.
The titans, now in their regular clothes, were situated in a tank of sorts with Starfire on top handling a turret. Up ahead is an active volcano with glowing lava oozing out.
"Oooh, interesting." The Tamaranean noted.
"Looks like we're going in hot, huh?" Jinx inquired.
"You bet. And we have controls on each side so nothing will take us by surprise." The titan leader explained. "Now, let's shoot some stuff out of the skies." Rolling ahead, the superhero teens embarked on the next level. Land mines shaped as Overload's chips were scattered on the ground, but they were easily destroyed thanks to Starfire's aim.
"Check it, I'm getting some powerful energy coming from the tower dudes." Beast Boy reported.
"The bosses' lair. Keep going." But it wasn't long after until a swarm of electrical falcons came swooping in. Starfire yelled as she blasted at them, but the more she destroyed, the more appeared. To make matters even worse, some exploded against cliffs that hung over the titans, causing rocks to fall. With her eye beams, the warrior princess blasted many into dust, and punched away any that got too close. But due to her multi-tasking, a falcon got close and slammed into the side, shocking everyone within for a second as they yelled from the great discomfort.
"Ah! We're getting swamped here Boy Wonder! You better have a plan than just blasting!"
"Yeah we do! Nitro!" Pressing a button, a rocket sprouted from the back and propelled the tank to jump over a cliff, and prepare to ram into the incoming tower. Smashing through the tower, it exploded leaving a massive hole. A portal opened from the tower's floor where the titans stepped out.
"You could've warned us you were going to do that." Raven commented with a hint of irritation.
"There wasn't much time before we'd be overwhelmed."
"Oh, just because you've escaped my spawns, doesn't mean you've overcome Overloads offense." The villain spoke through the tower's comm system. "Now I have you at my mercy." Glitches in the tower's foundations caused the tower to now start slowly sinking into the magma of the volcano. However, instead of going up along the upward path that a platformer would use, Raven simply created a floating platform for her friends and they went through a portal floor after floor until they reached the top where a giant bird shaped Overload flew. "Like I said: at my mercy." Flapping its wings, the artificial intelligence sent out waves of electricity that forced the titans to split up. Beast Boy took to the skies as a pterodactyl again while Raven helped Jinx and Starfire helped Robin. "Titans, just because you've beaten me, doesn't mean that you're more powerful. After all, we've always fought in your world. But in cyber space, my intellect will truly stand as the greatest."
"This isn't our first experience being stuck in a game Overload. Heck, not even the second." Robin chuckled. "You're no different in this case."
"Oh but I am. I grow more powerful as long as I'm in your mainframe. You won't stand a chance even if you survive to the final level."
"We'll see about that. Titans, GO!" Taking offensive flight, the group did their best as they tried combating the evil electrical monster. "Star, I'll switch to freeze him while you hit the spots with your eye beams."
"Okay." The Tamaranean princess nodded, and thus flipped her boyfriend around so that he hung upside down. Throwing his ammunition disks, they exploded into chucks of ice which were then melted down by Starfire's energy attacks, rapidly melting into water along with steam. It tried blasting them with lightning strikes, but due to pink magic being thrown into its face, Overload was unable to connect an attack. Turning its attention to Raven and Jinx, it attacked them next. Raven tried morphing their floating platform into a shield as well but the attack was too powerful as they lost their footing and would've fell into the lava if it weren't for the half-demon sorceress creating a portal to escape death. Overload grunted before being slammed into from behind from a boulder. The villain turned again to see a green T-rex swiping boulders with his tail right at it, again being pushed back by a second boulder crashing into it. Just as it was going to attack Beast Boy, a laser shot into the magma below it and splashed all over Overload, the extreme heat and think liquid of the Earth's surfaced innards not doing the electrical being any favors. Raven smirked from her position as she fired that laser from where her chakra used to be on her forehead, still able to fire energy if need be. But something like magma was unable to bring the artificial intelligence down as it yelled in rage, getting tired of being attacked from the sides and behind.
"Enough! Overload will finish you! It ends here!" Ramping up its attack, the chip burst with hidden energy which started to zap both the magma and caldera around them, making it too dangerous to be close as Starfire and Raven swiftly got away. Beast Boy wasn't so lucky however as he was blasted off the volcano, roaring as he fell into the pitch black of below.
"No!" Raven cried out, terrified if he made it or not. Her rage overcoming her as her skin took a tint of red and hair a shade of white, the half-demon growled, "I'll make you regret that! Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" The lava turned black as it rose up and grasped around the electrical being, the villain being smothered by the heated grip. Even with its protective shield of electricity Overload was getting overwhelmed as his form grew smaller and smaller, the molten grip growing stronger.
"No! NO!" The villain shouted as the chip short forth with a bolt, escaping what would've been its demise and through a cave that would be the next level.
"Don't run you coward!" Raven roared as she tried to go after her prey when a hand stopped her. Turning to beat up whatever tried stopping her, the girl gasped to see it was Beast Boy.
"Raven, I'm okay! I have two more lives! It's cool!" He assured her, taking hold of her hand since he grabbed her cloak first. The sorceress descended to the ground as her skin tone and hair went back to normal, her purple eyes filled with tears.
"Garfield..." She was then hugged by the shapeshifter whom whispered into her ears.
"It's okay Rae Rae. I'm here." Closing her eyes, she clung to him tightly as they went onto their knees in their embrace.
"That was close." Jinx sighed.
"Agreed. Good thing Cyborg included extra lives." Robin agreed. "We'll have to be more careful next time." His girlfriend looked concerned.
"So we only have so many times before deaths become permanent?"
"Originally if we die we'd just go back to the real world. But with Overload calling the shots, there's no doubt he changed that rule."
"Then how about we go and get some payback?" The three others were attracted to what Beast Boy said as he stood up with Raven. The boy no longer looked casual with his face. "That last one really hurt. It even made my Rae Rae cry. Nobody makes her cry." Lightly gripping his face, Raven turned his face to meet hers.
"Then let's destroy this chip to Hell." She then kissed him with forceful tongue before separating, leaving a stumped Garfield to process what happened before shaking his head and smiling.
"I love how much you can freely emote now."
Cold. It was really cold. The Teen Titans were now traveling across a tundra, wearing heavy winter coats of their respective colors except for Starfire and Beast Boy as a polar bear and their only guide was a robot who won't shut up. Everyone looked annoyed.
"You know what I hate about video games? Those useless little companions that try to help but are barely so at best. All they seem to do is follow you around, talk or get killed all the time. I tell you if I was a-" Once the group made it to an abandoned town frozen with ice, a bolt of lightning blasted the ironically self-remarking robot to smithereens. From one of the roofs, Overload exposed itself as it dropped down onto the ground with a heavy crash.
"Beware, for that was just a warning shot."
"Actually you did us a solid dude." Beast Boy remarked.
"That little annoyance was talking an entire tutorials worth. Jinx explained with a groan and eye roll.
"No matter. This frozen wasteland shall be your tomb." Sprouting six limbs from its back, the artificial intelligence fired at the teenagers and they all scattered for cover. Starfire flew to one of the roof tops, waiting for for an opening when she spotted a really cool rifle near her. Grabbing it, she looked through the scope to try and aim for the chip inside of the electricity, and fired. She missed her bullseye, but the bullet zapped right through the electrical armor, surprising Overload.
"What?! Who dares to strike me directly!" Another shot pushed him back, reducing the amount of electricity it had by a small margin. Aiming where the warrior princess was, it fired a bolt which Starfire fled, but accidentally dropped the rifle. Beast Boy on the other hand, crawling around as an arctic shrew, just happened to stuble across a weapon that he appeared to like very much as he smiled. Turning into a gorilla, he picked up the weapon, went out, and yelled,
"Hey Sparks! Check this out! Wielding a gatling machine gun, the barrels started to spin and rapid fire bullets which didn't pass through, but straight up exploded against Overload's powerful body. "Yeah! Pooowwaaaa!" The changeling yelled as he bombarded the villain with explosive rounds. Jinx scoffed from her hiding place.
"Of course he'd find one of the more awesome guns. Let's see." Opening a box, the former villainess grinned with sparkling eyes.
"Oh...yeah."
"Enough!" Overload yelled as he sent a current in between the incoming bullets, which started to explode closer and closer to Beast Boy, he yelped as he turned cheetah and ran before his gatling gun exploded.
"Your weapons are amusing, but-ah!" The artificial intelligence was interrupted when a much bigger, more powerful explosion knocked it onto its knees.
"Oh yeah! Nothing beats like a good old fashioned rocket launcher!" Firing another load, Overload grunted as he had to defend against another explosion. Holding a hand down, little electrical zappy creatures came out of the main body while the villain grabbed a chunk of ice, braced against another rocket, and waited until she was ready before throwing. Too little too late as she gasped from the missile hitting a projectile right in front of her, and was blown back by the explosive, banging against the wall with a painful grunt, and fell down weakened. The witch looked up to woozily see little creatures coming to get her and jumped up for the attack, but were shot down by incendiary bullets. Jinx looked to see Raven wielding a submachine gun, finishing off the rest of Overload's spawn with rapid fiery bullets.
"Are you okay?" The gun using sorceress asked.
"A bit banged up, but I'm good."
"Got you!" The villain yelled as it came up and snatched the two girls in its large hand, the female titans yelling from the living electricity coursing through their bodies.
"Leave them alone!" Robin came swooping in from above, dropping three grenades which exploded against Overload's shoulder, forcing the artificial intelligence to drop them. Throwing more grenades at its face, the titan leader picked his friends up and hid before it could recover.
"Such meddlesome teenagers. No matter what you use, no bullets or rockets can beat me."
"Then how about acid?! The Boy Wonder yelled as he fired rapid fire rounds of green bullets at the electrical being, being subject to bullets filled with acid as it ate away at the electrical armor.
"What?! Bullets aren't acidic!"
"Not in real life, but your new holes sure are exploitable!" Beast Boy and Starfire together aimed two more rocket launchers at Overload, damaging the villain even more.
"No! How are you doing this?! Your weapons are nothing!"
"Maybe not alone, but when you have a well oiled team like ours, anything will be brought down by the sum of their parts!"
"Grrrr, just wait until I get powerful enough to where even together you can't beat me!" Going to a door, Overload retreated to the next level. Maybe even skipping two levels so he would amass more power quickly.
"Yeah Star! We seriously kicked butt girl!" The emerald hero yelled triumphantly to his orange skinned comrade.
"Victory is indeed the most glorious!" Raven and Jinx soon came from their hiding spot, having recovered from what they just went through.
"You girls okay?"
"Yeah, we're fine. Thanks Robin." Raven sighed.
"So we've beaten that thing again huh?
"Yep. There's a chance by this point Overload is skipping levels, so we might not see that chip for some time."
"Good. I could use a break." The metahuman girl commented as she stretched her arms up high. And indeed they got a break of sorts, because the next level was the Mediterranean Sea where the only danger were man eating sharks protecting a chest of gold leading to the next level. It was also not on the level where it was literally like heck and they fought the video game version of the devil, it was just plain and regular, even if it was tough due to being level eight out of ten. Even the penultimate level where they fought in a giant space ship and fought against a trigger happy captain with magical keys tailored to their personalities and backgrounds.
And finally, the last level. But something was wrong. It was a main street, but the street had bottomless pits, the buildings were glitching and appeared that missiles were launched against them, and the sky wasn't a normal sky, but only black with coding flying over head. Almost like a wire frame.
"What's with this place dude?" Beast Boy asked, creeped out by how unfinished it looked, or rather corrupted.
"It's Jump City. This was the only level aside from the first I knew about. Cyborg said us completing this level represented that for as much as we could save everywhere else, Jump City is our home. Not to mention this is the only level that's like a sand-box game, where we can do whatever we want when we wanted Like Epic Car Steal. But Overload corrupted it."
"So if you know the level, then where's the way to win?"
"The tower. That's where the Master of Games would be. If he is there and not Overload.
"Then I'll just portal us there." Raven said as she tried to make a portal with a snap of her fingers, but it didn't work. It still didn't work after multiple snaps. "What? Why didn't that work?
"Overload must be hampering with our abilities. We'll have to use the docks."
"Great, and here I didn't want to walk the next few miles." Jinx groaned.
"Wait, I noticed that we never get tired." Beast Boy pointed out. "I mean, Raven overexerted herself earlier, but that was spreading her abilities thin. We've never gotten out of breath." Robin grinned.
"Why would Cyborg put a limitation such as movement stamina on us? So long as we're not fighting or using our powers, we could walk, run or swim forever."
"Neat. Looks like my Cy came through for me after all." The pink haired girl giggled.
"Alright, let's head for the docks." Taking their time walking there, the titans eventually reached where boats were available to reach the tower. However, a bolt of lightning from the sky blasted right in front of them, sending the teens flying back with yells and grunts. They looked to see that Overload has finally showed itself.
"Welcome to the final level. After amassing enough power, I was able to make this level mine. However, in your case, I'm willing to make an exception about it being all mine."
"Run around!" Robin ordered as they tried to go down to a distant dock, but a blast stopped them.
"See-More?!" Jinx gasped, seeing her former teammate. Climbing up one of the steps was a gorilla with a hat, ammunition belt and a high-tech gun.
"Monsieur Mallah?" Beast Boy was shocked to see Brain's muscle here as well. They were backing up until some sludge came up behind them. Starfire and Raven backed into it and recoiled after feeling something slimy behind them.
"Eek, Plasmus!" The Tamaranean recognized. Stepping in to be beside the monster was a face they were too familiar beating up.
"And Cinderblock." Raven said as her eyes narrowed. Finally, a fist punched through the wood, and Robin was the most flabbergasted to see him.
"Slade."
"Hello...Robin." The bane of the Boy Wonder and Teen Titans greeted him.
"Yes. I've created all these A.I's to help me." Overload cackled, stepping into their view. "Once my team of gather supervillains take you down, nothing will stop me from consuming every piece of technology in the real city, all thanks to your delicious tower."
"As long as we're breathing and kicking, don't consider yourself the winner yet Overload." Robin swore. "Titans, scatter!" Throwing a smoke bomb down, he obscured his friends which caused Monsieur to fire into the smoke, but they were gone.
"Get them! I know where they're heading!" Overload, and thus them all, turned to the amusement park not too far away. Raising a hand, Overload teleported its minions to there by turning them into electricity, and then did so for itself. The villains then spread out. Plasmus was looking around, his many green eyes keeping a look out for any titan, when a black hammer appeared above him. He only had enough time to turn before being smashed into pieces by the giant soul-self weapon Raven created.
"Strength wise compared to me, you're a wimp." The half-demon sorceress retorted. The gooey monster could only gurgle as he formed into miniature versions of himself. Inside of a haunted house, Starfire was floating around, not liking the horror aesthetics of the attraction. It was then that a cackling witch prop came from one of the walls, prompting the alien girl to shriek and blast it into oblivion.
"Oops." Turning around, she then found her throat gripped strongly as See-More caught her by surprise. She gagged as she tried using her eye beams, but the ocular villain covered her head in an energy bubble, preventing her from hitting him while making it that she'd risk blasting herself. And no matter how hard she physically tried freeing herself, See-More as a mindless A.I couldn't feel pain so it meant nothing. Dragging her along, he was going to deliver the teen to Overload when he stepped on a button, causing the floor behind him to open up and make See-More lose his balance, trying to get it back. Using this to her opportunity, Starfire kicked the back of his knee and jammed her left elbow into his ribs, forcing the villain to let go and go down a metal slide before landing on a mattress, leaving her to float above. And just to be extra sure, the warrior princess blasted him with both hand and eye beams, further stunning him before getting away. "Ooooo, See-More is my least favorite Hive villain." Starfire remarked to herself.
"Jinx was going upwards on a roller coaster, with Cinderblock following suite, the vehicle disregarding the tremendously heavy form of Cinderblock's stone body."
"Oh come on! How come fat people can't ride roller coasters but you can!" The metahuman complained as she tried to keep her distance, blasting the villain in the face but all they did was slow him down. Soon they reached a downward slope and gained speed from the drop. Looking around, she saw a bouncy house, and had a sharp idea. Aiming her left hand, the witch fired at the top of the slope, blowing some of the track up. As the coaster went onto the hill, Jinx stood up onto the front of the train, gave salutations with a smirk, and leaned with her arms crossed just a little to her left to fall onto the bouncy house just as he was going to grab her. She bounced once before somersaulting onto the ground, rolled, and stood to form a T pose like a gymnast. Cinderblock growled before realizing what he was heading towards to, and looked fearful before flying off the rails, and roaring as he smashed through the boards, crashing into the seas below.
"See ya later blockhead." The former villainess quipped before walking away.
In a mirror house, Robin was walking through, alert for anything that could come up.
"Robin." Slade's voice cut through. "How long has it been? Feels like years."
"You're not real. You're just code that Overload created."
"Oh, just because I'm not real, doesn't mean that I can't hurt you." Jumping through a mirror, Slade grabbed Robin's throat and smacked him into another mirror, attempting to strangle his prey. Robin gasped as he tried punching and kicking, but the older man was only barely budging. Grabbing onto some broken mirror from the wall he was being suffocated against, he stabbed it into Slade's left hip, making sure it would dig into the digital equivalent of the hip joint. Robin got a punch to the face for this effort, but the Boy Wonder managed to kick the shard in deeper. Even for a fake Slade, the injury was enough to force the villain down to one knee, losing the leverage to keep Robin in place, and he kicked his arch-enemy away in the face. Robin coughed as he massaged his throat, watching Slade plunge his hand into his body like a glitch, and pulled the shard out which had no blood.
"Robin, you surprise me. I didn't think you had it in you to fight so viciously."
"If you were real that likely would've been fatal, if not permanently crippling."
"But that's the thing. You can't cripple your worst nightmare."
"Please, compared to my real worst nightmare, you're just a copy of a nuisance." That seemed to have angered Slade as he went on the attack again, yelling with more aggressiveness.
Monsieur Mallah found himself at merry-go-round where he saw colorful horses. Figuring the green ones might be Beast Boy, he went to the wheel and started shooting at them. Beast Boy started to sweat because he was one of the horses, trying to hide in plain sight. When Mallah finally came up to him, face to face, the changeling smiled before spitting in his eyes. The gorilla roared as he wiped at his eyes, before being kicked down by a kangaroo. Turing into a rabbit, he hopped away while Monsieur Mallah tried to pursue. But due to Beast Boy's small size, he lost the titan easily and looked around, keeping his weapon ready. Although the merry-go-round started to pick up speed as the wheel became faster. Fast enough the gorilla had to drop his gun and hold on or else be flung off. Beast Boy laughed as he turned the speed up to its max, the attraction going around so many times Mallah was hanging on for dear life before being slung off and smashed into the milk bottle toss. Garfield was holding his sides as he was laughing hard.
"Haha, I know I'm ripping off that Clue the Mutt movie, but that's one of my favorite parts! I can't believe I was lucky enough to replicate it!"
"Hey BB, how's it going?" Jinx came up from behind, seeing the evil animal knocked out.
"Eh, I was just playing around." He shrugged. However, a fist almost knocked one of them over as they jumped away with sudden fright. Cinderblock, wet from stomping around in the sea, was able to climb up and get back onto the pier, roaring with fury.
"Dang it!" The metahuman cursed as she and Beast Boy booked it. The two soon met up with Starfire and Raven.
"Friends, have you seen Robin around?" Starfire asked worriedly.
"No. We were running from Cinderblock." Jinx replied.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Raven said. "What's the worse that could happen?" Her question was answered when said leader was thrown through a stand, bruised and his clothes torn while Slade stepped over the destroyed property.
"Robin!" Starfire went to aid the injured Boy Wonder, groaning from the pain he was inflicted.
"He's...too strong." Soon, all the other villains appeared, none the worse from anything that happened to them.
"That's right Robin. We're more than the real deal, thanks to Overload's power. You're all doomed."
"Alright, I think I've had enough of this." Beast Boy said as he stepped forth, calling to Raven, "When I make the attack, trap Slade with what remains of Plasmus."
"What are you planning?"
"You'll see." Turning into a T-rex, he roared as he spun to swipe his tail at their enemies, managing to sweep See-More, Monsieur Mallah and Cinderblock off the pier and into the ocean where they all yelled from the powerful tactic. Plasmus was unaffected due to being sludge, only losing about a meter in height while Slade just jumped over. Raven saw her chance and nabbed the villain in mid-air, while also capturing Plasmus with her telekinesis, and smothered Slade with the living toxic goo. He couldn't even make a sound since he was plunged head first before being thrown off as well.
"That should buy us some time." The female titan remarked. Robin was able to recover enough to stand with his girlfriend's help.
"Then let's get this over with." Racing to the docks and getting on a speed boat, they raced to their island. Upon docking, that was when Overload came up from the ground, clapping where each clap sounded like charged zaps.
"Well done, well done titans. I really thought getting help would beat you but you certainly are annoyingly persistent as always. However, I am the final boss, and I am not beatable this time." Reforming Plasmus and Cinderblock, the three combined where slime covered stone which now cackled with electrified power "And now, I am Ternion once more! Farewell Titans!" Throwing an elongated punch with ooze, the group scattered to evade its blow. Individually, they all tried attacking at once, but Ternion was only pushed back as it laughed in evil amusement. "Cute. Separate, and together you've beaten me. But in my world, you are nothing but specks. I'm three times more powerful than I was before. You're no match for my ultimate form!" That gave Raven an idea.
"Ultimate form? That's a good idea. Guys, come to me!" Hearing her plea, they all went to her side.
"What's the plan Rae Rae?" Beast Boy asked.
"We all need to hold hands for this." The female titan responded, pulling her hood down.
"Oh, are you all going to perform some sort of combined magical energy beam?" Ternion laughed. "Like some sort of power of friendship cliche?"
"A friendship cliche? Maybe." Raven said as her cloak shifted to white and her hair extended. "But not in the way you're thinking. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" A blinding light was created, the combined villain staring into it as something was happening. And by the time it did, it was something to behold. No longer were there five teenagers, but one. Sporting purple boots and a green skirt and yellow belt, it lead up to a red shirt with black sleeves. A cape bellowed with the wind along with a waist length ponytail that was dark pink. Hazel eyes opened within a mostly feminine face which was colored a grey shaded brown, representing an equal mixed amount of green, orange and grey.
"What? What are you?" When the person spoke, all of the combined titan's voices spoke at once.
"We are...The Primordial Titan."
"Hmm, no matter. Unlike me, I calculate your abilities are 1/5 as powerful as they are now."
"Well then, let's test that theory." With a grunt, Primordial sent a white soul-self raven which caught Ternion off guard, due to it being giant, as big as the tower itself as it pushed through everything in its path. The combined villain fell off and was going to plunge into the ocean if it weren't for it using electricity to provide force to keep itself above water. But in doing so it was unprepared for Primordial to deliver a black and pink double coated aura punch with the strength of a gorilla flying faster than the speed of sound, the punch followed by the shock wave leaving a hole where the midsection was.
"This isn't-" Ternion didn't have time to speak as the soul-self came back to again ram into the being, heading into the city as it smashed through sky scrapers. With a roar, Ternion intentionally fell off the attack as it grabbed hold of all the falling debris around it, and launched them all at the combined titan. Once the soul-self returned to Primordial, they formed a dark pink force field around themselves, sending the debris to bounce off. Taking hold of them with telekinesis, the rocks and metal were compacted together to form two fists which were sent back to Ternion. The villain was able to blast one but not the other as it was smashed into a wall. Forming a pink coated starbolt, the hero threw it. Shoving the fist aside, the golem was blasted into the building, crashing into a wall. Primordial flew to just outside the tower. The villain tried to send an electrocution blast, but bad luck would have it that the ceiling began to collapse around Ternion as the top of the skyscraper collapsed onto it, the whole thing falling to the ground. From the destruction, a fist punched out, and a struggling golem tried crawling out, but was utterly crushed by the humongous weight of a stone whale, combining the size of Beast Boy's blue whale transformation, and Starfire's knowledge of the stone golem creature of a gridnock. Transforming back to normal, Primordial lifted an arm, bringing forth a badly damaged Ternion.
"Imp-p-p-possible." It said, malfunctioning from the damage it took. "Tern-n-nion can't be O-o-o-o-Overload-d-ded.
"It seems that you have been." Primordial remarked with a smirk. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Back in the real world, Cyborg groaned as he finally restarted.
"Ugh, what happened?" As if to respond, the cannon that sent his friends into the game has finally returned them back, the five now as they were before.
"That...was...awesome Rave!" Garfield laughed as he hugged his girlfriend. "That whole Primodial Titan, and the thing, and the-the I can't even describe it!"
"Heh, that was pretty cool." The sorceress chuckled. Jinx lightly punched her in the arm.
"No need to undersell yourself girl. Bask in the glory that you just became part of a celestial level being."
"It was indeed the most glorious Raven!" Starfire agreed. "I felt like that as part of the Primordial, that not even the likes of Trigon could beat us!"
"Agreed. That was the coolest thing I've ever done in my life." Robin said. Hearing all this praise of her action to combine them, Raven smiled as she complied,
"Alright, I'd admit it. That was fantastic! What a rush!"
"That's what I'm talking about girl!" Beast Boy laughed. "Now bring it here mama." Twirling and dipping her, the green teen kissed his girl like he hasn't done in a long while. Raven moaned as she returned it.
"Uh guys?" They turned to see Cyborg was all confused.
"Uh, while the smooch fest is fun and all, what just happened? The last thing I remember was-a hack attack! Were you guys okay?!"
"We're fine Cy. Don't worry." Jinx replied as she stepped to him and kissed his organic cheek. "We were just stuck is all."
"There is one more thing we need to do." The titan leader said. Going down to the mainframe, a fried chip attached to the computer, which Robin was able to remove.
"Time to put it back where it belongs. Also should install a back up generator so that it doesn't escape again."
"On my to-do list." Cyborg put it down onto his schedule. As the titans went to the living room, it was becoming sunrise.
"Oh man, our clocks are so going to be screwed up the next couple of days." Beast Boy laughed before yawning.
"I've certainly had enough excitement for a while." Jinx agreed while stretching, her arms and back popping. "I should take a vacation."
"I'm sure the Tween Titans could cover for us for a couple of days, with the help of our little buddies." The Boy Wonder nodded. "If they can take down Mad Mod and Mumbo, then nothing short of Slade or Ternion will take them down."
"Well, I'm going to sleep. Nigh-I mean...morning." Garfield yawned while going to his bedroom, before Raven grabbed his hand. She looked shy, but also hopeful.
"Beast Boy...perhaps we could sleep together? Just this once?" He smiled gently as he cupped her cheek.
"Of course."
"Robin, may I also sleep with you in my bed?" Starfire asked.
"Sure. In fact..." He yawned before continuing, "...I may just end of moving my time of sleeping to Starfire's room. I think I'm comfortable with that now."
"Joy!" The Tamaranean female shouted with jubilation as she hugged and kissed him enthusiastically.
"What do you say Rae Rae, want to do the same?" Beast Boy inquired, curious for her answer. Thinking about it, she answered,
"For tonight, my room. But everything else after that is in yours after getting a new bed and cleaning your room."
"Too bad my bed or me is not very comfortable." Cyborg sighed.
"If it makes you feel any better, I could get a body pillow of you." Jinx suggested with a giggle. He only blushed in response.
"Rest well titans." Robin concluded before they all went to get some well earned rest.
A/N: Wow. I must admit, that was awesome. I took inspiration with how Primordial fought Ternion from the Fantastic Four sequel with Torch fighting Dr. Doom with all their combined powers. And as for the levels, I've took inspiration, or made passing mention of Super Mario 64's haunted house level, Sly Cooper's volcano level against that metal owl Clockwerk, the tundra from Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider Underworld, Elder Scrolls Morrowind and Kingdom Hearts, specifically Birth by Sleep in the Deep Space level. I wanted to do these as well for parts 2-4, but looking at videos, my mind just wouldn't cooperate on how to have the titans work those ways well. And of course I do have to give credit about the amusement park bit as inspired by Scooby Doo Cyber Chase. This wasn't 100% exactly what Eris suggested for me, especially the Primordial part, but at least I was able to put some real good effort into what I could do.
