After checking up upon the whereabouts of the Justice League, Nightwing gasped upon seeing what he just learned.
"Oh no, we have to save the Justice League from Darkseid." Starfire gasped.
"Darkseid?!"
"Who's Darkseid?" Jinx asked.
"Darkseid is one of the most powerful gods of the universe. My people fear very little, not even the Kryptonians, but even we fear the wrath of the New Gods. Even Superman at his full strength has trouble defeating him."
"Than how are we going to win?! From what it sounds like, this Darkseid managed to beat the Justice League! We've just barely reached full adulthood!" The situation was dire, and everybody was wondering what to do. Until Cyborg spoke up.
"I think we can win this."
"What?" His girlfriend questioned.
"Think about it. We still have our abilities, and while some of us are unchanged, we do have more abilities. Starfire and her indestructible bracelets and lasso of trush, along with said bracelets creating weapons. There's also my tech and Booster Gold's shields and time travel. Jinx, can you convert your hexes into screams?"
"I've never tried but I can give it a shot." The metahuman shrugged.
"Right. To survive this, we'll have to use all of our powers together."
"We'll have to find a way of reaching the planet known as Apokolips to save them."
"On it. Cyborg ran to a room, where the others followed, and found the relics room where he found the Mother Box.
"Say, how do you know all about this stuff of the Justice League?" Jinx questioned her boyfriend.
"I'm like one of their biggest fans ever." The metallic superhero answered as he tinkered with the Mother Box. "I wish to fight by their side some day. I thought about it when Nightwing said we may have to split at some point."
"I hope you reach it." The titan leader said with a smile.
"Thanks. Aha, here we go!" Holding up the box, Cyborg created a Boom Tube in which the titans traveled through, and found themselves at Apokolips, a fiery and destructive place filled with slaves. "So this is Apokolips."
"Reminds me of home with dad." Raven remarked.
"And the open air magma chambers of Tamaran." Starfire agreed. Going to presumably Darkseid's place since it was the only place with his head there, they entered through its right eye after Nightwing blew it up.
"There, it's the Justice League!" Cyborg pointed out, and there they saw were six people. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, The Flash and Green Lantern, suspended in chambers filled with green liquid chained over a pool of lava.
"Now how are we going to free them?" Nightwing wondered, but he got a deep and foreboding response.
"You can't, because you won't have the chance." Raising high on a platform from underneath a cliff, the New God himself appeared.(A/N: Imagine his Justice League Unlimited version for looks and power) "You dare trespass upon the grounds of my domain?"
"We're-we're not afraid of you Darkseid!" Cyborg said with as much valor as he could muster.
"Oh, but you are. I sense little bravery in your eyes, and I can sense quivering in the Tamaranean imposing the superior Wonder Woman." Starfire stepped back, unable to stand her ground in mental fortitude. "For your insolence, you shall be cast into the fires of Apokolips, unless you pledge yourselves to Darkseid.
"Never!" Nightwing refused. "We'd rather burn for eternity than serve you!"
"So be it." Firing his Omega Beams from his eyes, the titan leader braced for certain death when Cyborg jumped in, turning on the suit's shields and negated the rays.
"Don't worry, I'll protect ya!" The metallic titan declared. Leaping towards the New God, Cyborg tried to punch him, but the blow didn't even move Darkseid as he effortlessly swatted the hero away, crashing into a wall.
"Worthless."
"Cyborg!" Starfire called out. Her fear turning into anger, she charged and was actually capable of landing two somewhat meaningful blows to his face before he headbutted the female Tamaranian back, the titan grunting painfully as she flew back.
"Wonder Woman hits harder."
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Summoning her raven shaped soul-self, she had it ram into Darkseid, but it broke apart just from colliding into him, the New God unfazed in the slightest. Starfire tried again with her eyebeams, but they did nothing upon contact against his stone like skin while he fired back with his Omega Beams, piercing through the green energy and would've vaporized the Tamaranean if it weren't for blocking with her bracelets at the last second.
"My turn." Jumping from his platform, Darkseid stomped onto the ground with enough force to send both a shockwave and floor debris at the titans. Beast and Robin both avoided them by turning into a bug or using a grappling hook to gain distance. Raven shielded Jinx and herself with her soul-self, while Cyborg and Starfire endured the blunt force with either their shields or natural durability. Starfire was able to block one beam while Raven created a portal that shot into Cyborg which was neutralized thanks to his shields.
"Come on guys, us girls can't do all the heavy lifting!" Jinx told her male friends off.
"I tried something, and it didn't work!" Cyborg defended himself.
"I'm trying to find an opening, but I'm detecting none." Nightwing said.
"I'd have to be a phoenix to not die and they're not known for being offensive." Beast added. "Not to mention you hadn't done something yet either!"
"Fine, then just be distractions while we finish him off!" Cyborg rolled his eyes at his girlfriend's command, but followed it anyway as he got behind a boulder, and pressed a button to expand his shield really fast, pushing the boulder with enough force to smash against Darkseid's face. Nightwing used that as a distraction to swing behind the New God and threw multiple smoke bomb batarangs which stuck to his back, exploding. Omega Beams shot out from the smoke, and the titan leader had to drop from his position to initially avoid them, and proceeded to throw bombs at them to stop them in their tracks. Raven created a portal so that he didn't fall into the lava. Darkseid was about to fire at the magician clad Raven before being blasted in the face by golden energy, which proved to actually make him step back. He looked to see Cyborg having merge his tech with Booster Gold's suit, so now his sonic cannon was much more powerful. Flying straight towards him, Cyborg attempted another punch but like before he was effortlessly swatted away. That did however provide an opening for Jinx to scream a hex, resonating through the area, resulting int the damaged ground Darkseid was standing on to crumble. While he did somewhat stumble, levitating solved the issue. Starfire did however use that moment of uneven footing to create a sword from a bracelets and slashed against the New God, creating a gash on the chest of his clothes. Cyborg came from behind and slammed both his hands sledgemanner style into the back of the villain's head, but moving his head back just as quickly, Darkseid bashed the metallic titan back.
"Come on, why can't I get a good physical hit in?!" Cyborg complained. Starfire used her super speed to spin above the lava, causing it to tornado around Darkseid. From above, Cyborg and Jinx fired a combination of golden energy and pink hexes right onto the top of the villain's head. Looking up, he fired an Omega Beam at them through their attacks, and Cyborg stopped to form a bubble shield which blocked the beams, but smashed the two titans into the ceiling with grunts. Forming a black sphere, Raven then created a portal to Darkseid's back, and threw the orb at him, the magic blasting with enough force to nudge the New God into the lava tornado. Not that it hurt him as he floated down to the ground, only to be bombarded with intense fire from a green dragon. Having just been dealt with lava, this fire did even less as he went and upper-cutted the mythical creature away into the ceiling. Beast reverted back with a groan and crashed into the ground. Something bound itself around Darkseid, preventing him from using his arms as Starfire used the lasso of truth, trying one end to a boulder as she charged with a battle cry, and flipped over the villain before stabbing him in the eye. He growled with pain as he used his one good eye to shoot Starfire off of him, whom blocked the attack. He was then blasted with the combined energy of Raven, Cyborg and Jinx, being pushed into a wall from a spiraling stream of black, gold and pink.
"I grow tired of this!" Darkseid shouted with rage as he clapped his hands with mighty strength, causing a shockwave so powerful that the the blast was pushed back, and the heroes were blown into the back wall, though Cy was able to keep Jinx from falling into the lava. Same with Beast having been blown off the floor as he was still recovering and yelled as he was going to plunge in, only for Nightwing to catch him and used a grappling hook to get to higher ground. With astounding speed, the New God targeted Starfire specifically as he caught her by the throat and smashed out of the chamber, crashing through various buildings of his planet to cause her serious harm. Even with the rocks indeed hurting her though, they weren't really hurting her as she fired eye beams into his bad eye, causing him further pain and more rage. Stopping, Darkseid slammed the Tamaranean down into the ground and proceeded to punch her repeatedly, barely being blocked by Starfire holding up the bracelets, though her diminutive size meant there was too much to properly block and was progressively smashed further into the ground. Cyborg came in for the rescue as he used his sonic cannons to deliver melee ranged blasts to the villain's head, distracting him for a second. With an annoyed grunt, he punched the metallic titan away and fired his Omega Beams at him. Cyborg once again formed his bubble shield to take the attack, being pushed back into some rubble. Pink hexes and black missiles came next as they bombarded against Darkseid's back from an incoming Raven and Jinx on top of a green dragon whom was carrying Nightwing in his feet. Dropping down from the dragon, Nightwing rolled across the ground as he yelled,
"Together!" Throwing explosive batarangs, pink hexes, black magic, red fire, gold sonic blasts and green eye beams, the New God was bathed in attacks. Choosing a target, Darkseid lunched at Cyborg, breaking through the shields and gripped at the titan's throat as he struggled against the godly grip.
"Just die!" The tyrant commanded as he threw Cyborg into a building with enough force to collapse it. Concentrating her hex into her throat, Jinx jumped off of Beast, and screeched a hex which annoyed the giant golem. He attempted to grab at her when she came close enough, but a portal opened before his fist, and accidentally punched himself in the face. Darkseid was then kicked back by Starfire in the back before the Tamaranean proceeded a beat up as she punched the New God repeatedly into the air with hard rapid strikes. Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy followed. Punched, bathed in fire and bombarded by both black magic and golden energy, it truly appeared the titans have gotten their act together and were pushing him around as they smashed him into a sky scraper. Trying to recover, Darkseid received four punches from Starfire, a black magic fist, a golden fist shaped shield and a green dragon sized gorilla fist from Beast. Using her lasso, Starfire managed to tie up the disoriented New God.
"Raven!" Starfire pleaded. Nodding, the half-demon sorceress floated into the sky, her eyes glowing white as she conjured a lightning storm.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Throwing her arms down, she caused lightning to rain down on Darkseid, striking his body several times per second in quick succession. One of the lightning bolts even zapped into his other eye, blowing up up. Having retreated back to the chamber with the Justice League, Nightwing was using one of Batman's gadgets to safely move his the heroes from above the lava to the uneven but secure floor.
"Thank goodness Batman is prepared for anything." The titan leader sighed. He heard an explosion occur in the distance, and saw that Darkseid had somehow gotten free. "Hold out for a little longer. I won't be too long. Hopefully."
Flying back as Cyborg fired missiles, they did little to stop the rampaging New God as he swatted away both him and Starfire away, only to be slammed into the ground by Beast as a dragon. The villain was not stopped as he punched the mythical creature away into the sky. It did leave him open to smashed into the ground by a soul-self raven at Mach 36, ploughing Darkseid deep into the ground and creating the giant crater, but he was able to catch the familiar and crushed it into a ball before throwing it back, causing the half-demon to yelp as she was pushed back from having her soul forced into her so strongly.
"You cannot beat me! I am Darkseid!"
"Yeah, well they're no longer alone." Punched in the face to send him reeling back, the New God recognized it was Superman.
"What?! How did you escape?!"
"You can thank Nightwing for that." Batman replied as he walked to the battle field with the younger hero. Taking a second look at his former apprentice, he then said, "Copycat."
"Admit it Bats, you know I look good in your Kevlar." The young man chuckled. The dark knight said nothing. Superman charged and he and Darkseid got into hand locks with each other as they pushed at each other with all their strength. That is until Wonder Woman and Starfire gave a double upper-cut to the villain's chin, sending him reeling with a grunt. Superman then gripped Darkseid's head and fired his heat vision into the ruined eyes, inflicting more pain to the New God as he yelled before being flipped into the ground. However, as he was getting up, the villain's rage was starting to become overall dangerous as he managed to swipe at any that either tried to get near or blast him, nobody able to get close enough.
"Now!" Superman ordered. First was a barrage of collective fists and kicks which he was able to punch away, such as Nightwing, Batman and Beast, before getting pummeled by The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Starfire and a giant fist from Martian Manhunter whom was now a giant. With that done, all the heroes with ranged attacks gathered in the air as Superman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Starfire, Raven whom was now harnessing her full power as her hair extended, Jinx, Beast and Cyborg fired a mega blast which almost encompassed the full range of the rainbow, and it came crashing down onto the New God, creating an explosion that could be seen several miles away.
As the smoke began to clear, the eight men and four women walked to the deep hole in the ground, where Darkseid was down for the count.
"Whew, it's done now." Superman sighed. Then it finally hit him completely. The Kryptonian turned to the titans and questioned, "Wait, did you... save us and fight Darkseid?"
"And survived for that long by the time we came into the action?" John Steward continued. The six young adults nervously laughed and chucked before the Green Lantern placed a hand on Cyborg. "Nice job." The metallic titan smiled.
"Th-thanks."
"You've certainly done well, titan warriors." Wonder Woman praised. "And you look good in my costume, though I question how you got one of mine." Stafire giggled anxiously as she placed her hands over her blushing cheeks.
"I say this calls for a celebration." The Flash suggested.
A week later, all of the Justice League members and Teen Titan members sat in front of a ceremony in front of the Hall of Justice. Superman walked up to the podium.
"Friends, acquaintances, comrades. We are all here to celebrate a momentous occasion. You know us, the Justice League, as the greatest superhero team the world has ever known. However, we are not invincible, and were captured by Darkseid. Despite that, we were saved, by these brave young superheroes." He gestured to the titans, now in their proper hero clothes. "Nightwing, Starfire, Beast, Raven, Cyborg and Jinx. They rescued us, and even did so while cosplaying as us." Most of the people involved chuckled and lightly laughed. "But turns out it was necessary. They have shown that they can be Justice League material with the right tools, and with time, they could be on their own." Walking towards the young adults, he gave each titan an official card. "Teen Titans, I'd like to promote you to junior level Justice League status. While you still leave the big missions to us, anything you need from the Justice League is also yours now." All of the titans nodded, beaming with pride. "Give these titans a round of applause!" Superman called to the audience, whom clapped and cheered while fireworks exploded in the air.
A/N: Whoo, that was a lot. I mostly took inspiration from the big fight from Justice League War, but I still managed to keep it to feeling like it was the titans fighting, not the used heroes of that movie. Review please what you thought about this.
