Nightwing equipped his belt equipped with all the weapons he needs. Beast plugged his nose and ears in case of over stimulation. Cyborg armed his body to be prepared as much as his body would carry. Heading into the living room, the boys saw that the girls were watching a movie.
"Hey ladies." Cyborg greeted. They paused and looked over to see the mission ready males.
"My, aren't you three prepared to head out." Jinx noted. "What's the occasion?"
"Batman has assigned us to head over to Gotham." Richard replied. He's doing some Justice League business, but he's hot on a trail and doesn't want it getting cold. So we're going to solve it in his stead."
"Why have we not been the invited?" Starfire questioned.
"He determined us to be the best candidates for solving this crime. With my detective skills, Beast's animal senses and Cyborg's radar system, we have all the necessary perception, strength and skill needed for whoever we might face.
"I wish you could come with me baby, but he says that more than three might be too much attention." Garfield bemoaned, but Raven floated over to kiss his forehead.
"Don't worry. Next time we can go together." The half-demon girl assured, helping him to regain his smile.
"Well, good luck boys. I guess in the meantime, we're going to have a girls only weekend!" Jinx cheered as she threw confetti into the air from her sleeves.
"Thanks. Now let's go kick some Gotham butt! Booyah!" Cyborg shouted as he and the other two male titans went to the elevator to fly to Gotham. The three girls looked at each other, smiled and nodded. Friday night: Spend some time at the arcade and go to their first club for hard drinks. Best hangovers ever. Saturday night: Go to Steel City to hang with Bumblebee and dance at a rave. Sunday night: Go to gather Argent and Pantha and fight in an underground ring for super-powered heroines in Chicago. Starfire won the nightly rounds and got a brass participation belt. Monday morning: Jinx woke up with bags under her eyes and her hair tied in a bow. She tried to get up but fell off the couch she was sleeping upside down on instead. Only lightly groaning, the former villainess stood up and went to the bathroom, rubbing her eyes. Going in, she noticed that her face had markers on it making her look like a pirate. She chuckled.
"Argh Jinx, that was some awesome weekend, eh?" She laughed as she stripped to use the shower. Coming out back in her clothes and her straightened out hair in a towel, she went into the kitchen to see Starfire snoozing on the kitchen table, clutching a box of cereal and a jug of milk while her hair spilled off the table into a bowl, thankfully not filled with soggy cereal. The pink haired witch lightly giggled. Going over to the alien princess's forehead, which caused her to wake up startled and stumbled onto the ground, thankfully her hair cushioning her face from hitting the hard floor. She raised her face in grogginess.
"Oh, what has the happened?"
"We had an awesome weekend, that's what happened." Jinx replied with a smirk. Going over to get her own cereal and milk, she went back to the living room where Raven came in, her pajama hood down and her hair looking disheveled.
"That was really fun and crazy." The sorceress commented.
"Yeah. Good thing you were our designated teleporter. Apparently Starfire and I partied too hard, but that's what having an awesome life is like." The former villainess shrugged with a smile and no regrets as she went to change into her sleepwear. When Starfire eventually joined them in her pajamas, the girls watched two bad and cheezy rom-com movies in a row and made fun of them the whole while. By 3 PM, Raven noticed what time it was on the clock.
"Guess it's time to call the boys." Once per day when it was before sundown in Gotham, they'd call either Richard, Garfield or Victor and chat for a bit before hanging up, then have more time for themselves. However, none of them were available.
"Hmm, I wonder what could be holding them the up?" Starfire asked when they received a call coming from Barbara. She accepted and it went to the TV screen to better show Oracle. "Greetings Oracle! Why have you called us?"
"The boys are in trouble. Poison Ivy has taken them." The titan girls gasped.
"But how can this be?!"
"She has taken control of Gotham's city park and it's over run. Everyone tried to stop her, but Tim, Damian, Stephanie, Cassandra and Carrie were captured as well. Batwoman, Blue Bird, Spotlight and Batwing are surveying the park but dare not get too close. You three will have to save them."
"But, if our friends and five of the bat family members couldn't stop her, how can we?" Starfire asked, but Raven smirked.
"Don't worry Star. Poison Ivy may be powerful with her plants, but her goals and weaknesses are very simple." Pulling up the console, Raven showed a criminal record explaining Poison Ivy and brought up where they were being held on a street cam, which was a giant sphere of vines and trees. "First, we just have to simply brute force and burn our way through since even when super empowered, they're just plants. Once inside we have to survive and take down any of the plants inside. The only thing standing between us and them is Poison Ivy herself at that point. It won't be easy, but we'll win, save the boys, get home safe and enjoy our victory."
"That is a plan with very much of the charm. But we are only three, and the odds of us getting overwhelmed by poisonous plants and the smells they create are likely. We need more of the help that can't be easily overpowered."
"I've got a couple people in mind. Come on." Opening a portal, the girls went into it with Jinx proposing something.
"So maybe after we can get milkshakes?"
Riding down a bridge entering Star City, Ravager on her motorbike weaved around the law abiding drivers. Looking up, she noticed a giant raven in the sky. Smirking, she went to the right enough to jump onto the cables of the bridge going up and up until she went into the air. Standing up, she waited until it was time to jump off, letting the bike crash and explode below while she rolled onto the roof of a building and parkoured over several more until she met up with Raven, Jinx and Starfire.
"Wasn't that your bike?" Starfire asked. Rose shrugged with an amused eye roll.
"It's cool, I stole it from this rancid kid named Johnny. Tried hitting on me, beat him up and took his ride. Missed you guys."
"Missed you too. We need your help." Raven requested. The anti-hero crossed her arms.
"And what's in it for me?"
"Milkshake party afterwards." Jinx answered. Rose considered it for a few seconds before replying,
"Whatever."
"Joy! Now let us do the group hugs!" Starfire cheered.
"No." Everyone else denied.
Going into a dark dimension that was filled with trash, Jinx and Rose all recoiled at the stench of the place.
"Ugh, what is this place Raven?!" Jinx complained.
"It's the place where we dump our garbage."
"And how are you not affected?" Slade's daughter questioned Starfire. The Tamaranean answered,
"Once you have learned to escape the stomach of my planet's most ferocious predators enough times, open air garbage is not that bad."
"Hmph, cool. Oh Raven, a boulder is going to try and crush us." Rose said without changing her non-chalant tone. Raven looked up to see indeed a huge chunk of rock hurtling towards them. With a wave of her hand, the attack was simply pushed aside.
"Hello Gaea." The sorceress greeted. From out of the shadows stepped out a disgusting woman. Her clothes made of patched up rags, her skin covered in grime and splotches, and her hair was as bad as hell, along with having grown down to her pits, in between her original long hair and last seen haircut.
"Hello Gaea." Raven greeted.
"Seriously? We're bringing that bitch with us?" Jinx pointed out. "She tried to kill you guys twice and paralyzed me!"
"I'll do more than that." The earth manipulator threatened as she tried to take chucks of the ground around her, and fly them at the other girls with a barrage of stones. They however failed to penetrate a black energy shield.
"Easy, we're here because we need your help."
"Oh, if your team is so powerful, especially with you, then why do you need me? And putting that aside, why would I help you after stranding me here?"
"We need someone who can manipulate Earth just as much as she can manipulate plants. Poison Ivy's captured the boys. If you help, I can let you out of here." Raven proposed. Thinking about it, Gaea nodded.
"Fine." Offering a hand, the two were about to shake when Rose speed blitzed past Gaea, her sword extended. Terra's hair around her neck fell, followed by her head falling and rolling across the ground in shock.
"Rose! What was-" An evil cackle was heard through the dimension as Gaea's head laughed more and more maniacally with it before turning brown and crumbling to sand, along with the body Raven was going to shake hands with.
"You sure have a useful friend Raven. I was just about to suffocate you with sand, filling your lungs until they burst."
"You do realize that if you killed me, then there'd be no chance of seeing Earth ever again."
"Oh Raven, do you think that I'm still the same foe you fought before? I've grown more powerful than even the gauntlets have augmented me. I don't just control earth-." The four girls looked down as they saw a giant face of Gaea for around them in a 100 foot circle. "-I am earth!" As she cackled with her now found mastery. " I've nearly mastered every earth based super power you can think of. I've even gotten to the point of transferring my consciousness through earth, and the earth I brought from Jump City allowed me to feel where it is. With a bit more practice, I will be able to even transcend dimensional space to return to Earth. No matter where you trap me, you can't escape me. I am the constant feel under your feet! I-"
"Alright that's enough villain rambling." Raven rolled her eyes as she snapped her fingers. The ground stopped speaking as the real Gaea was forced out of the ground, struggling against the sorceress's magic.
"Hey! I wasn't-" Raven poked Gaea's head with a magic imbued finger and she fell to the ground in an unconscious sleep.
"Thank you." Rose groaned. "All that talking was really getting on my nerves."
"Me too." Raven agreed. "If she's getting to that point maybe I should put her in a place where she'll just fall forever with no earth." After saying that, the blonde metahuman slowly started to wake up.
"Ugh. Wha-Raven? Starfire?" Realizing she was free, Terra became scared and scurried back. "What-what are you two doing here?! I'm too dangerous! Just leave me alone!"
"Don't worry, I shut Gaea up." Raven assured. I put her to sleep with magic, so for the time being now it's just you in your head."
"Re-really? Why-why did you do it? Why haven't you done so before?" Raven grew uncomfortable from that question.
"In most cases, messing with someone's mind is something I'd prefer not to do. It involves entering their mind and inadvertently seeing everything. I'm sorry you've had a rough life like that Terra."
"Oh." Given her current state, having her whole life seen by Raven wasn't the most upsetting thing.
"And I really needed your help. If your mastery of earth is as great as you say it is, then we'll need it to fight Poison Ivy. She's as good with plants as you were with earth before being stuck here." Thinking about what she knew, only to struggle, she shook her head.
"I'm sorry. While I can transform into earth, meld into it and make sentient earth clones, that's all I learned before I got so weak I could no longer process what Gaea was doing."
"That's still better than last. Come on, will you help us?"
"Give me an hour long shower, I'll help, please." The girl sounded desperate. "The only water I've had to clean myself was hotdog brine you titans throw in here."
"No wonder I have been wanting of the mustard." Starfire commented.
"Deal. We'll get you a shower and some new clothes."
"Joy!" Starfire cheered. And so it was, a five band female titan crew for the rescue job. Raven: lead singer and overall leader. Starfire: drums and the muscle. Jinx: demolition expert and electric keyboard. Rose: electric base and surveillance. And Terra: the wild card. After Terra took a much needed proper shower for the first time in years, Raven used her magic to get rid of any rashes or such from being nothing but filthy gave her, and gave her one of her leotards. Size shifted into her size, short pant legs added so it didn't just cover her crotch and recolored brown and yellow to suite her personal tastes. Before they left though, Terra also wanted some new boots and a brown leather jacket. Once that was done, they went through a portal going to Gotham, where they found the overun Gotham park. Getting a call on her communicator, Raven answered it to see it was Oracle.
"So, you're ready?"
"Yeah. The five of us."
"Five? Brought a couple of your titan friends?"
"They're not titans, but they are friends." Hanging up, Raven put all five of them into a huddle. "Okay, here's the plan." From within the plant dome, a green light could be seen glowing brighter and brighter before starbolts burnt through the wall of vegetation while Raven kept any lingering plants from getting at them.
"So where could Ivy be?" Jinx wondered.
"More titans? You'll just add more to my collection." A huge bush separated in half to reveal Poison Ivy, wearing a white shirt, black jacket and green pants.
"Let everyone you've captured go Ivy." Raven warned. "You don't want to mess with this group of ladies."
"Man, woman, it doesn't matter to my plants. They'll-" Rose interrupted her by throwing a throwing knife behind her so that it would sever a vine that was advancing on them.
"Nice try Miss Green Thumb, but you're not taking us by surprise that easily." She said with boredom as she put on her mask, covering the upper half of her face. She recognized the color scheme with that now.
"Wait, who are you? What affiliation do you have with Deathstroke?!"
"I have no affiliations with my father." She answered, figuring with a smirk that answering with that would scare the plant affinative woman, which worked as she willed the plant she was sitting on to go higher.
"Get them my slaves!" From giant venus fly traps, men and women that were under her control stumbled out. They tried to attack the girls but Terra created stone bars around them from all sides, rendering them helpless.
"An earth manipulator? It still doesn't matter. Microscopic spores have entered all of your blood streams, and when they grow enough replacing your blood cells, I'll turn your flesh into bark." Vines from all around tried to impale them, but Raven's soul-self came out to provide a barrier which caused the vines to disintegrate upon contact. "Even now you can only defend. What chance do you have of beating Mother Nature?" The soul-self tried to go on the attack against Poison Ivy herself, but hundreds of stronger vines managed to catch the projection. They pulled tighter and tighter until it exploded, the fragments returning to the half-demon sorceress.
"We do not need to beat the natures' mother. We just need to beat you." Starfire exclaimed.
"She was referring to herself." Ravager told the alien warrior.
"It seems my simple attacks are not going to get past your defenses. Alright, how about I bring in your friends?" More people crawled out of Ivy's foilage, but turns out they were now her slaves too!
"Wait, where's Cyborg?" Jinx noticed he wasn't with them.
"He was too much machine for my tastes. He's the worst of you all, so I disposed of him."
"No. No!" She didn't want to believe her boyfriend was dead. Not after so long on that virtual island. "Let's finish this now!" Terra used her power to construct multiple versions of herself to face off against each of the captured heroes three to one, thus causing pandemonium as the army of Terras and Ivy's enslaved prisoners fought. When Beast turned into a giant mind controlled dragon, Starfire took it upon herself to keep him busy.
"Beast was not easy to control. His wide array of animals kept him from being poisoned, put under hallucinations, wrapped in vines, blinded, disoriented and so on. Only problem is, he couldn't fight all those symptoms at once." Ivy chuckled. "He may have mastery of the animal kingdom, but plants thrived long before animals. The Green is older, more powerful, superior."
"Well, if there's one thing we can do better than plants, it's stand without roots!" Jinx snarled as she slammed her powers into the ground, causing the root system to go haywire as Poison Ivy found herself wobbling on her plant pedestal, along with two support trees falling over and were going to crush her. Exerting her will, she forced her pants to take root once more with more roots, stopping their falling momentum.
"Get me up there!" Ravager told Terra as she extended her swords and ran towards the villainess. Lifting her arms up to create floating platforms for the daughter of Slade, Terra allowed Rose to get in close. However, Ivy used her power to take one of the trees above her and moved it so that it took the attacks of her swords. Ravager tried to pull them out, but they weren't just stuck, the trees healed so that pulling them out was nigh impossible for the anti-hero. Sensing danger, she jumped to avoid being tangled by vines, but there were just too much as she was grappled anyway, and she was thrown towards the ground. While trying to subdue her friends without hurting them, Raven saw Rose falling, so she created an energy hand which safely caught the young woman before setting her down. The two nodded as she ran again.
"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Raven encanted her signature spell so as to push her friends into the vines which she manipulated to entangle them, that gave Raven the space she needed to open a portal that dropped a zweihandler, the big sword stabbing into the earth. Despite being just as tall as she was, Rose had no trouble dislodging it from its spot by jumping over and grabbing it, the anti-hero hauled it over her shoulder. Believing she could take it, Raven used her magic to double the size of the blade and triple its mass, but the white haired woman was barely phased. Plants and bat-family members tried to stand in her way, but Terra performed a moses and pushed them all away by parting the surface of the ground, giving Ravager a clear shot as she leapt and with a mighty grunt, she slashed the sword into the plant Poison Ivy was standing on, and with the magical property it had, the whole thing was cut in half, not just was Rose directly attacked. Pamela Isley yelped as she fell, conjuring vines to come and save her, but Jinx kept them from doing so while Starfire caught her mid-fall and used her speed to leave the plant dome and go high into the air, holding the villainess in a full nelson hold.
"Please restore everything back to the way they are."
"Never!" The red head woman protested, only to change her mind when the alien princess applied pressure to her neck, causing some pain. "Ow, ow! That still won't help, ow!"
"Then you would not mind if my friends destroy all the plants in the park to save your friends, right?"
"I would mind very much, thank you!"
"Then let them go." Starfire said in a more threatening tone.
"Alright, alright!" The Batman villain folded as she was flown back to the dome. When they got close enough, the plant manipulator let the park return to the way it was and reversed the effect of everyone under her spell.
"Wait, what about Cyborg?" Jinx asked, but she was answered when he managed to pull himself out of the ground.
"Ugh, what happened?" Cyborg!" She went to hug him, worried he was gone again from her.
"Huh? Starfire?"
"Yes! We are here in the saving of the you!" Starfire went to go and hug her titan leader, only for Pamela to go and dash to Terra, letting the grass capture the blonde girl as Ivy stood behind the earth manipulator. She took some of the grass to make a sharp dagger out of it.
"Don't take another step! If you come any closer I'll kill her! I won't go back to Arkham!" Everyone stood still, but only the boys and the bat-family seemed concerned while the titan girls weren't concerned.
"Terra?! What's going on?!" Garfield cried out, wondering why she was here.
"Don't worry Beast Boy, I've got this." Terra said.
"I don't think so." Ivy denied as she tried to take control of Terra with a breath of pheromones, but they did nothing. The villain was surprised as Terra chuckled, before she crumpled to sand. Pamela was taken off guard by that, especially when the real Terra burst from the ground, delivering a stone right hook against the evil woman's cheek, knocking her out cold as she collapsed to the ground. The traitorous titan cracked her knuckles as she turned back to human. "Now, where were we? Saving you guys?"
"Wait..." Beast tried to process it all. He was fighting Poison Ivy, and then... nothing. Except the next moment for him was waking up in the park with his friends and the bat-family. And to his surprise, Rose and Terra as well when he first laid eyes on them. "Why... how are you back? And... and what about Gaea?"
"Don't worry." Raven assured as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "We'll explain about it. Over some milkshakes."
"Yes, milkshakes!" Jinx cheered when she was done worrying about her boyfriend.
"My mouth tastes like fertilizer." Nightwing groaned. "I wouldn't mind having a milkshake after we're cleared of any of Ivy's toxins." After getting checked up and becoming totally detoxified, the titans and bat-family celebrated another victory with an endless supply of milkshakes in an ice cream bar.
"Wow, so is Gaea like gone now?" Garfield asked.
"No. Eventually the spell will wear off, and Gaea will be back. She's a strong willed personality, and those are hard to lock away permanently." Raven sighed.
"So I guess after the milkshakes I'll be going back there, huh?" Terra looked down, crestfallen.
"You will, but don't worry. At least you finally helped us." The sorceress tried to comfort her, but the blonde was still depressed. Beast took her left hand, still missing its pinky, and he assured her,
"Terra, just for the sake of closure, I still like you. All of us like you. We wish we could help you and you could be one of us. I may no longer love you, but the time we spent together, including this one with the milkshakes, they will be cherished." Terra smiled with tears coming to her eyes as she hugged him,
"Thank you Beast Boy. I'm sorry I put you through so much because of Gaea."
"Don't worry about it." Raven just sat there sipping her chocolate milkshake, letting them have their moment. When it was time to go, the titans went back home while Terra willingly went back into the trash hole. The same dark bleak sky, the same foul oders, and right back to being as filthy as the garbage around her. Or so she thought, when Raven's soul-self flew out of the portal, and swept over an area, magically creating a rectangular house before retreating out and the portal closing. Terra was shocked as she went in, and found it to be an exact replica of the titan living room. Exploring it, she found that the TV was functional, the food was fresh and regenerative so no more leftovers, there was clean water for the shower/bath, and her bedroom had rows of clean clothes. Noticing herself in the mirror, she looked into her face, still cracked looking from her scar. Only the cracks were disappearing, and there she stood, a beautiful blonde girl with brown eyes and nothing wrong. She touched her face and still felt the scars, but the mirror didn't seem to show there was any. Terra smiled as fresh tears streaked down her face. Closure with her friends and a new house for all her needs. Even with her banishment from other humans, this was much, much better than anything she could ask.
"Thank you." She uttered.
In the tower, all of the titans sighed as they all plopped down on the couch.
"Whew, that was awesome." Jinx giggled.
"We have certainly kicked the butt, have we?" Starfire asked.
"Indeed we did Star. Indeed we did." Raven agreed.
"Thanks for saving us. And what an impressive team to save us." Nightwing congratulated the girls, whom gave each other fist bumps.
"Yeah, if only was conscious to see it!" Beast nodded.
"At least now we can relax." Cyborg sighed, along with the rest of them sinking into the couch. That is until a bright light filled the room, and something appeared in the living room. They all gasped to see it was a time machine, and the occupants, were the titans themselves in their early 30's!
"Whoa! What are you doing here?!" Richard questioned in amazement.
"Hello us. We need your help to save the world, and it involves a time machine."
