In the living room, five of the titans were watching TV when Nightwing appeared in the living room with a puff of smoke. "Titans, I have gotten word from the Justice League wants us on an assignment!" This got the rest of them all hyped up, just like the last time for the mission involving ninjutsu!
"Oh yeah, a Justice assignment! Booyah!" Cyborg cheered as he high fived Beast.
"Check it, we becoming his go to Titan Team!" The shapeshifter laughed loudly.
"Ain't nothing stopping us girls!" Jinx celebrated as the three girls punched their fists together in joyful unity.
"I have the joy indeed!"
"Super cool."
"However, this is a mission in which Batman only wants three of us going so as to not bring too much attention to ourselves. So for this, we'll have to draw straws." Richard brought out a handful of six ordinary straws. "Whoever draws the three longer ones wins, while the shorter ones stays. "Raven, you go first." Floating to him, she picked out a really short straw, unfortunately.
"Whatever." She remarked blankly as she floated away.
"Starfire, you can go next." He offered. The Tamaranean flew to him and drew a straw slightly longer than Raven's.
"Oh, I so wanted to go." She bemoaned, but Richard patted her shoulder.
"Don't worry Star. Next time." Smiling sadly, the two briefly kissed before Beast went up next. He got a long one.
"Oh yeah! That's what up!" The green hero cheered as Cyborg went next. He got what might be the longest straw of the bunch.
"Booyah!" He pumped his fist in the air. "Good luck baby." Victor encouraged as Jinx went and got one of the two remaining straws. Her's was shorter.
"Yes!" Nightwing also pumped his fist but inward, before realizing he wasn't being considerate. "Oh, sorry Jinx."
"Thanks, but truthfully I was hoping to stick back." She admitted, the metahuman taking it well. "Would've been nice to go on my first Justice League mission, but I have a better idea."
"Like what?" Starfire asked.
"Girls only weekend!" Jinx cheered as she threw confetti from her sleeves onto Starfire and Raven's heads, the former impressed with widened eyes and clapping while the latter smiled and shrugged.
"Least we got something planned."
"Have fun ladies! Now let's roll out!" Cyborg shouted as he and the other two male titans went to the elevator to fly to Gotham. The three girls looked at each other, smiled and nodded. Friday night: Spend some time at the arcade and go to their first club for hard drinks. Best hangovers ever. Saturday night: Go to Steel City to hang with Bumblebee and dance at a rave. Sunday night: Go to gather Argent and Pantha and fight in an underground ring for super-powered heroines in Chicago. Starfire won the nightly rounds and got a brass participation belt. Monday morning: Jinx woke up with bags under her eyes and her hair tied in a bow. She tried to get up but fell off the couch she was sleeping upside down on instead. Only lightly groaning, the former villainess stood up and went to the bathroom, rubbing her eyes. Going in, she noticed that her face had markers on it making her look like a pirate. She chuckled.
"Argh Jinx, that was some awesome weekend, eh?" She laughed as she stripped to use the shower. Coming out back in her clothes and her straightened out hair in a towel, she went into the kitchen to see Starfire snoozing on the kitchen table, clutching a box of cereal and a jug of milk while her hair spilled off the table into a bowl, thankfully not filled with soggy cereal. The pink haired witch lightly giggled. Going over to the alien princess's forehead, which caused her to wake up startled and stumbled onto the ground, thankfully her hair cushioning her face from hitting the hard floor. She raised her face in grogginess.
"Oh, what has the happened?"
"We had an awesome weekend, that's what happened." Jinx replied with a smirk. Going over to get her own cereal and milk, she went back to the living room where Raven came in, her pajama hood down and her hair looking disheveled.
"That was really fun and crazy." The sorceress commented.
"Yeah. Good thing you were our designated teleporter. Apparently Starfire and I partied too hard, but that's what having an awesome life is like." The former villainess shrugged with a smile and no regrets as she went to change into her sleepwear. When Starfire eventually joined them in her pajamas, the girls watched two bad and cheezy rom-com movies in a row and made fun of them the whole while. By 3 PM, Raven noticed what time it was on the clock.
"Guess it's time to call the boys." Once per day when it was before sundown in Gotham, they'd call either Richard, Garfield or Victor and chat for a bit before hanging up, then have more time for themselves. However, none of them were available.
"Hmm, I wonder what could be holding them the up?" Starfire asked curiously. They checked if the connection was just bad, but there was no signal. Like they weren't even there.
"Hmm, that's not good. I'll try calling Alfred." Jinx determined and proceeded to call up Bruce Wayne's butler. He answered after a few rings.
"Ah, hello girls. What is this pleasant surprise call for?"
"We were wondering if you could locate Nightwing and the others. We can't find them."
"Hmm, that is troubling. Please stay on hold while I direct you to Miss Barbara." The bat signal appeared on the screen while music that sounded like a thrilling car chasing soundtrack played.
"Ooo, that is some nice music. I like it." Starfire complimented the choice. Soon, Oracle popped up, and she looked somewhat worried.
"Hey gals. Alright, so I've tried finding them, but they don't appear to be where they should be. We can still find tech that has lost internet and cellular connection, but it appears that they're no longer on Earth."
"What?! Where could they go?!" Jinx cried out.
"I don't know, but I am detecting some strange energy in the Southeastern section of Indonesia. And there's even reports that a few islands are missing, according to local islands who noticed them being missing. Perhaps you can find something there. I'll send you the last detected coordinates."
"Thank you." Jinx said before hanging up.
"But how will we be able to rescue the others?" Starfire asked. "We are only the three. We need more help."
"I've got a couple people in mind. Come on, we'll find them after letting the Tweens know they're in charge." Opening a portal, the girls went into it with Jinx proposing something.
"So maybe after we can get milkshakes?" (A/N: This big part is unchanged up to Terra coming with so for those who'd like to skip, I'll let you know when to stop with a Bold word.)
Riding down a bridge entering Star City, Ravager on her motorbike weaved around the law abiding drivers. Looking up, she noticed a giant raven in the sky. Smirking, she went to the right enough to jump onto the cables of the bridge going up and up until she went into the air. Standing up, she waited until it was time to jump off, letting the bike crash and explode below while she rolled onto the roof of a building and parkoured over several more until she met up with Raven, Jinx and Starfire.
"Wasn't that your bike?" Starfire asked. Rose shrugged with an amused eye roll.
"It's cool, I stole it from this rancid kid named Johnny. Tried hitting on me, beat him up and took his ride. Missed you guys."
"Missed you too. We need your help." Raven requested. The anti-hero crossed her arms.
"And what's in it for me?"
"Milkshake party afterwards." Jinx answered. Rose considered it for a few seconds before replying,
"Whatever."
"Joy! Now let us do the group hugs!" Starfire cheered.
"No." Everyone else denied.
Going into a dark dimension that was filled with trash, Jinx and Rose all recoiled at the stench of the place.
"Ugh, what is this place Raven?!" Jinx complained.
"It's the place where we dump our garbage."
"And how are you not affected?" Slade's daughter questioned Starfire. The Tamaranean answered,
"Once you have learned to escape the stomach of my planet's most ferocious predators enough times, open air garbage is not that bad."
"Hmph, cool. Oh Raven, a boulder is going to try and crush us." Rose said without changing her non-chalant tone. Raven looked up to see indeed a huge chunk of rock hurtling towards them. With a wave of her hand, the attack was simply pushed aside.
"Hello Gaea." The sorceress greeted. From out of the shadows stepped out a disgusting woman. Her clothes made of patched up rags, her skin covered in grime and splotches, and her hair was as bad as hell, along with having grown down to her pits, in between her original long hair and last seen haircut.
"Hello Gaea." Raven greeted.
"Seriously? We're bringing that bitch with us?" Jinx pointed out. "She tried to kill you guys twice and paralyzed me!"
"I'll do more than that." The earth manipulator threatened as she tried to take chucks of the ground around her, and fly them at the other girls with a barrage of stones. They however failed to penetrate a black energy shield.
"Easy, we're here because we need your help."
"Oh, if your team is so powerful, especially with you, then why do you need me? And putting that aside, why would I help you after stranding me here?"
"We need someone who can handle herself just as much as you can, since you've nearly beaten us twice. If you help, I can let you out of here." Raven proposed. Thinking about it, Gaea nodded.
"Fine." Offering a hand, the two were about to shake when Rose speed blitzed past Gaea, her sword extended. Terra's hair around her neck fell, followed by her head falling and rolling across the ground in shock.
"Rose! What was-" An evil cackle was heard through the dimension as Gaea's head laughed more and more maniacally with it before turning brown and crumbling to sand, along with the body Raven was going to shake hands with.
"You sure have a useful friend Raven. I was just about to suffocate you with sand, filling your lungs until they burst."
"You do realize that if you killed me, then there'd be no chance of seeing Earth ever again."
"Oh Raven, do you think that I'm still the same foe you fought before? I've grown more powerful than even the gauntlets have augmented me. I don't just control earth-." The four girls looked down as they saw a giant face of Gaea for around them in a 100 foot circle. "-I am earth!" As she cackled with her now found mastery. " I've nearly mastered every earth based super power you can think of. I've even gotten to the point of transferring my consciousness through earth, and the earth I brought from Jump City allowed me to feel where it is. With a bit more practice, I will be able to even transcend dimensional space to return to Earth. No matter where you trap me, you can't escape me. I am the constant feel under your feet! I-"
"Alright that's enough villain rambling." Raven rolled her eyes as she snapped her fingers. The ground stopped speaking as the real Gaea was forced out of the ground, struggling against the sorceress's magic.
"Hey! I wasn't-" Raven poked Gaea's head with a magic imbued finger and she fell to the ground in an unconscious sleep.
"Thank you." Rose groaned. "All that talking was really getting on my nerves."
"Me too." Raven agreed. "If she's getting to that point maybe I should put her in a place where she'll just fall forever with no earth." After saying that, the blonde metahuman slowly started to wake up.
"Ugh. Wha-Raven? Starfire?" Realizing she was free, Terra became scared and scurried back. "What-what are you two doing here?! I'm too dangerous! Just leave me alone!"
"Don't worry, I shut Gaea up." Raven assured. I put her to sleep with magic, so for the time being now it's just you in your head."
"Re-really? Why-why did you do it? Why haven't you done so before?" Raven grew uncomfortable from that question.
"In most cases, messing with someone's mind is something I'd prefer not to do. It involves entering their mind and inadvertently seeing everything. I'm sorry you've had a rough life like that Terra."
"Oh." Given her current state, having her whole life seen by Raven wasn't the most upsetting thing.
"And I really needed your help. If your mastery of earth is as great as you say it is, then we'll need it to find out friends." Thinking about what she knew, only to struggle, she shook her head.
"I'm sorry. While I can transform into earth, meld into it and make sentient earth clones, that's all I learned before I got so weak I could no longer process what Gaea was doing."
"That's still better than last. Come on, will you help us?"
"Give me an hour long shower, I'll help, please." The girl sounded desperate. "The only water I've had to clean myself was hotdog brine you titans throw in here."
"No wonder I have been wanting of the mustard." Starfire commented.
"Deal. We'll get you a shower and some new clothes."
"Joy!" Starfire cheered.(You shall resume here.) And so it was, a five band female titan crew for the rescue job. Raven: lead singer and overall leader. Starfire: drums and the muscle. Jinx: demolition expert and electric keyboard. Rose: electric base and surveillance. And Terra: the wild card. After Terra took a much needed proper shower for the first time in years, Raven used her magic to get rid of any rashes or such from being nothing but filthy gave her, and gave her one of her leotards. Size shifted into her size, short pant legs added so it didn't just cover her crotch and recolored brown and yellow to suite her personal tastes. Before they left though, Terra also wanted some new boots and a brown leather jacket. Once that was done, the girls gathered into the T-ship. And not the air plane that they've been using the past few years, but the classic orange one where the five sat in separate seats around the air craft. Raven and Starfire took their normal place while Jinx, Rose and Terra sat in each of the fuselage seats front to back. Using it to fly over the Pacific Ocean and going to the Tanimbar Islands of Indonesia, there was indeed a few islands missing compared to a map of the place.
"So something just took the islands straight off the Earth like they were bandages?" Terra gulped. "Could we even defeat something like that?"
"Yes. We've defeated my multi-dimensional conqueror of a dad twice." Raven replied. "Island stealers is still unorthodox, but nothing the five of us can handle. Hold on a second." Getting into a lotus position and closing her eyes, Raven concentrated. It took a few moments, so the girls did something to pass the time. Starfire brushed her hair, Jinx tossed a bit of her pink energy between her hands like she was juggling, Rose used a paddle ball and Terra was spinning a few clumps of compacted dirt in her hands like from one of the few cartoons she's seen in her childhood called Persona: The Last Wind Breaker. After several minutes passed, Raven finally spoke. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" Her eyes glowed white as a burst of black energy erupted from her, spreading far and wide. "I can sense it. Something used a portal to take the islands and our friends. The two are very far from Earth.
"Is it not it possible to just portal to where they are?"
"My magic has a limited range, and even with your full speed, the chances of finding them out of flying everywhere are extremely slim.
"So what's the plan, portal master?" Rose rolled her eye.
"There is a trace. I can teleport us along the path, but it'll take a while since extremely long jumps are taxing on me."
"Don't worry Raven, just take the time you need." Jinx assured her. Nodding, the half-demon sorceress created a portal which moved them a few light years from Earth. Three of the girls were amazed by the personal sight of space. The vast blackness, stars both nearer and far in positions that were unfamiliar, and the feeling that they really did feel tiny and insignificant in the universe.
"I never thought I'd be in space." Terra commented. Rose agreed by whistling, indicating she was impressed.
"So this is what you fly through when you travel through space?" Jinx asked the Tamaranean.
"Yes, though it looks more like a stream of lights as I fly forward. Occasionally I have to swerve left or right to not hit a stray planetoid or two."
"Crazy." The pink haired metahuman said as she used her hands to express her mind being blown.
"Alright, I can go again." Raven said as she wiped sweat from her forehead. For about a few Earth hours, Raven allowed them to travel several light years in an instant, but when she needed more than a few minutes for a rest, the rest allowed their ship to travel the rest, even if it was significantly slower. The girls got to see lots of things. The diamond planet which was just a huge cut diamond floating in outer space and it only looks like a spherical planet due to being so far away humans can't tell, an ice planet that's on fire, a planet with raining glass. Not everything they saw was fun though. They had to dodge a literal shooting star, as in a star that was hurtling towards them as hypervelocity speeds due to a supermassive black hole destroying a solar system with two stars.
But eventually, they found it. The thing that stole the islands and kidnapped their friends. Starfire gasped.
"That ship, it's Brainiac's!"
"Brainiac? What is he, a skull nerd?" Rose scoffed.
"Brainiac is one of Superman's most powerful villains. He takes the current knowledge of all planets, and destroys the solar system's sun for each one he conquers, but not before taking a city. He has tried it on Earth several times before." Ravager's eye widened a bit at that.
"Huh. Not much of a friendly scholar, is he?"
"No. He is not."
"Let me see... if I can survey what's inside." The tired Raven sent out her soul-self, which blended well in outer space, and it tried to fly in Brainiac's skull ship, but a force field repelled it. "What?!" She gasped as it returned to her. Its ship's eyes glowed red as search lights tried to look for them.
"Go for that planet! Scatter!" Starfire suggested as she pressed a button, and the five segments split apart just as the light would've spotted them if they remained whole.
"Whoa, this is so cool!" Jinx laughed.
"How do you control this thing?!" Terra yelled as she tried steering her compartment, but kept going too much in the direction she needed.
"Aim for that planet!" Rose said as there was a orange-brown planet nearby. Each of them tried flying towards it. Four of the five titans were able to land safely enough in relative close proximity with each other, either because they knew what they were doing or pretended it was like a hi-tech go-kart. As they got out however, they saw the tail of the ship spiraling downward, and at a rapid pace.
"Star, you need to catch her!" Raven cried out. Nodding, she flew towards the descending craft part, but despite her speed, the ship piece was falling too fast, and disappeared over a large hill before it exploded with a visible glow of fire and the audible sound of smashed metal. The Tamaranean was stunned as she floated down towards the ground, gently falling onto her knees. The others ran up to her.
"She... didn't make it." Jinx gasped, her eyes wide with fear.
"I just freed her." Raven choked out, falling to her knees as well. Rose didn't say anything, but she did close her eye as she drew out a sword to stab it into the ground, and took a knee, resting both her hands on the handle while laying her forehead on her hands.
"I didn't like her... but she didn't deserve to die. Not like this." The pink haired metahuman brought her hands to her chest as she bit her tongue. The titans and Rose took the time to mourn their sister in arms, even with how short it was, until they heard a crash right behind them and a grunt. Opening their eyes in shock, they turned to Terra cursing to herself as she struggled to unbuckle herself.
"Stupid seat! I've reached the ground so let go!"
"Terra!" Starfire cried as she flew towards the blonde metahuman, hugging her with such speeds the seatbelt snapped and she was held up in the air in a crushing hug. "Oh Terra, we have thought you have died! I am so glad you are safe!"
"Th-thanks! But... my lungs!" The poor girl was nearly being suffocated to the point her ribs might cave in.
"Oh, sorry." The alien girl apologized as she let Terra go, the blonde choking and gasping for breath.
"Oh my, sorry."
"Whew, she had us going there for a moment." Jinx sighed.
"Yeah." Rose then realized something. "Wait, are we on a planet with oxygen and a warm if comfortable temperature?" She looked around their surroundings. The immediate area was like a orange desert with no sand, just rock to the horizon.
"Let us just thank we have had the fortune of crashing on a sustainable planet." The Tamaranean said. "My friends were also fortunate enough to crash on another one and not perish on impact or interacting with the environment."
"Yeah, good point." Raven agreed. A loud noise was heard from above as they saw Brainiac's ship approaching. "We need to take cover, now!" Pressing a hand to the ground, Terra created a hole they were now standing in before they were covered by a stone lid, with many yet small holes so they could breath and see.
"It's a good thing I can create good cover." Terra sighed.
"So now what? That thing could detect us the instant we come out." Ravager pointed out.
"Don't worry, we just need to come up with a plan." Raven assured. "Gather around, let's do some brainstorming."
Throughout the halls, hundreds of portals were opened throughout the ship, and dozens of Terra earth clones going to the hundreds rushed in, breaking everything that they came across, yelling as they ripped stuff off the walls, battered against robot sentries, and overall just rampaged. At a certain area, five Terras were actually the titans and Rose with the real one.
"I can feel them." Raven said. "I can lead the way."
"And I'll make sure nothing surprises us." Ravager volunteered as the two girls led the three others. Whenever one of the two had to attack a drone not occupied by a Terra clone, the two would be able to beat the junk out of it until it was shut down. "Sheesh, for robotic body guards of Superman's greatest enemies, he sure keeps weak ones around.
"They're usually meant for regular civilians and armies. But we're better." Raven smirked, making Ravager chuckle. Raven made sure that they were going the right direction while Rose did indeed keep them safe from otherwise unexpected threats. Reaching a room, Starfire busted down the door with her strength, alerting the robots safeguarding Richard and Garfield.
"Friends!" The disguised alien girl cried out as two of the robots tried to ambush her, but the Tamaranean grabbed their heads before smashing them into pancakes. Rose moved her head out of the way of a spiked tendril, pulling it forward before slicing it in half with a sword.
"Terra? Wait, Starfire?" Nightwing questioned as he recognized his girlfriend's voice while strapped to a table along with Beast, having been stripped to nothing but his super shorts.
"Terra?!" Beast questioned as well as he saw five separate versions of his former girlfriend kick butt, Starfire kicking one into the ceiling while Terra grew her left arm into a giant rock fist to smash another into a wall, the fist crumbling when it had served its attack.
"Hey... Beast Boy." She greeted awkwardly.
"Boyfriend Nightwing, oh I was so worried for you!" Starfire said as she ripped the restraints off of him before hugging the titan leader.
"Star... how did you find us?"
"Thank Raven for that." Jinx said as she tapped Garfield's restraints, setting him free with her magic as he walked to his own girlfriend.
"Wow, thanks for the save mama." He sighed as they hugged.
"You're welcome." The two, along with Nightwing and Starfire, kissed. Not having do so in a while. That's when Rose rolled her eyes.
"PDA, people. Not all of us have boyfriends to smooch on."
"Wait, where's Cy?" Jinx became concerned since he wasn't in the room.
"Brainiac took him." Richard answered. "He took him away to learn about all the weaknesses of every hero on Earth."
"Then let's go save him then!" The female metahuman cried out as she was going to run out, but Raven grabbed her shirt.
"Hey, I'm the navigator. I'll lead us straight to Cyborg, if not Brainiac as well." Transforming the two male titans to look like Terra as well, they went to find their last teammate.
"Beast, I can sense something is wrong with you. What is it?" Raven asked her boyfriend.
"He injected me with something. Nano machines. They destroy my body if I try to change. Learned the hard way that I can't overcome it."
"Don't worry, Cy will be able to expunge those right out of you. Like he did the last time."
"Yeah! Let's go!" As they ran, Nightwing asked,
"So why is Terra here?"
"We'll explain later. We've got to move." Raven answered. Soon, it wasn't long before they found the room Brainiac was in. It was heavily reinforced. From the hallway they exited, Terra summoned a few towards her, letting them crumble into their natural earth state before surrounding herself in an armor of rock. Floating up, the blonde metahuman began to push hard, groaning from the effort. The stone around her arms started to crack, but more was simply shifted to them to compensate. The door began to dent and be disloged from its place until eventually with a few well placed punches, Terra busted down the door. There was Brainiac in the center of the room, using a tentacle to hack into the unconscious Cyborg.
"Let him go!" Jinx ordered.
"Ah, I figured you'd come. Nightwing was certain about that." Brainiac replied as he withdrew a tentacle.
"So I'm guessing you're Brainiac." Ravager pointed to. "Figures, your ugly green mug is the only thing different aside from those robots."
"Yes, I am Brainiac, the knowledge of 10,000 worlds. No need for your disguises, for I knew who you were. Those specks of dust running around all completely chaotic while you were coordinated with your movement. I even left those two out for you as bait." With the jig being up, Raven released the disguising spell. "This Cyborg specimen has quite the security defense on lockdown. Three of your days and I'm only at almost completely cracking him."
"We will not let you succeed!"
"Unlikely. Superman has a hard time defeating me. You all are beneath him. Not worth my time except for this one."
"Oh, I am afraid you don't know how strong Tamaraneans can be." Starfire boasted as she cracked her knuckles before flying into the robotic alien faster than he could react, smashing him through walls.
"Alright Cy, nap time's over Jinx said as she went to his head. Opening up his robotic eye, she pressed it at certain intervals before the head started to boot up, and thus wake up.
"Whoo, what a sleep. Hey, Jinx! Guys!" He cheered, but gasped when he saw Terra. "Terra?!"
"Later Chrome Dome. We have more pressing matters." Almost true to her nature of bad luck, an army of the robots and turrets popping out of the walls and ceilings took aim at them. "Aw nuts." They all fired, prompting Raven to put up a shield. With Garfield and Victor unable to fight, he was too vulnerable to take it down, and there were too many lasers to let her friends phase through.
"Jinx, trust me on this. Blast your magic into that section right there." Cyborg pointed to a section of floor. "And make it a big one."
"And make it quick! I don't know how long I can keep this up!" The tired sorceress pleaded as she struggled to keep the shield strong.
"Ok, if you say so." Jinx said with uncertainty as she put his head down, and stooped to the spot he pointed. Rubbing her hands to generate a big amount of energy, she shoved it into the floor, traveling down wherever it needed to go. Suddenly, pipes from the walls erupted, spewing vapor into the air which obscured the visibility of the room, and thus the robots stopped firing.
"Titans, go!" Nightwing ordered as he, Raven and Rose went to attack the robots while hidden from sight. Terra was having the easiest time thanks to her stone armor and better maneuverability compared to the robots. Jinx took Cyborg's head and bolted to hide, along with Garfield with her.
"How did you know that'd work?" She asked her boyfriend. Victor smirked.
"While he was hacking me, I did some hacking of my own. I know his ship's entire blueprints."
"Sweet." His best friend replied.
Going to Starfire, she was being chocked by Brainiac from his strong body before being thrown into a wall strong enough to dent it. "Identify yourself."
"Ugh, I am Starfire. And I will not let you hurt my friends anymore!" She flew towards him to deliver a few punches to the gut before one of her fists were caught and he gripped her throat again, but she was able to kick him away. Once more she tried to tackle him, but the super-villain took hold of her shoulders and slammed the warrior princess into the ground.
"Orange skin, green eyes, feline descended DNA. Tamaranean. I am aware of your planet's existence. It did not interest me enough to collect specimens and destroy your planet when I found it."
"I am glad. For my people would have either destroyed you, or died by your hand. We are not a race to be enslaved as decoration." The female titan growled as she swept his legs out from underneath him, before tackling the unbalanced Coluan into a wall hard, punching his face left and right. "And my friends are not your souvenirs!"
"What wasted sentiment." Brainiac sighed as he produced tentacles to make her back off. He however caught her leg and proceeded to slam the Tamaranean into the wall he was in a couple of times before doing so into the ground. "Ridiculous." He punched his heroic enemy away. She grunted from the impact, but she got back up. The two lunged at each other with strikes, simultaneously punching each other in the face to send each other deeper into their respective wall indents. Flying up, Starfire fired a beam of starbolt energy, which exploded against Brainiac. However, tendrils shot out to grip the Tamaranean by the throat and stomach to smash her into the ground. Brainiac swept the smoke around him away as he went to approach her.
"Foolish Tamaranean titan." The villain mocked.
"Do not mess with the Titans!" Starfire roared as she broke out of his tendrils and punched the Coluan into the air, soaring up to reach the ceiling before he did, and blasted him down into the floor, destroying it. Brainiac tried to stand up but he was punched in the face into the ground and through it, bursting into a room below. Growing tired of her influence, he extended more tendrils, wrapping the alien warrior tightly in his clutches as she wheezed, and slung her around to smash through the walls and pillars, wrecking every wall and support in the room. Using her eye beams to sever his metallic tentacles, Starfire used the opportunity to blast the whole room, weakening its support until the entire room above them collapsed on the two. As Brainiac pushed himself out of the rubble, the alien princess burst out much quicker, and zoomed in flight to further tackle him through walls. Using his tendrils to grapple to walls so that their speed slowed to a halt, the supervillain then used them to thrash Starfire about, the Tamaranean princess grunting as she was battered by numerous limbs swatting her from multiple directions. Needing to get out of this, Koriand'r spun around with her hands and eyes ablaze with green energy, destroying his attack.
"Enough!" Using what was left of a tendril to wrap around her midsection, The Coluan kicked her back into the ship's metallic tentacles, which dragged the warrior princess out, ejecting her from the ship. Starfire flipped around several times before regaining her orientation. She only had to to notice the eyes were glowing and say,
"Oh kribblenib-" The skull ship blasted her with giant beams of red lasers. Rose saw this as she continued to slash away at the robots that just kept coming. She sliced two heads off with her right hand sword while backing up to let two more robots blast each other apart. Terra punched through the chest of another robot. One from behind tried to attack her with a sharp tentacle, but it failed to pierce her armor as the metahuman turned back and proceeded to rip it in half. Many more tried to ambush the girl, but a giant soul-self raven bashed them into and through a wall. However, she was blasted in the back by another robot, searing a hole through her cloak and leotard, burning her skin. The half-demon girl screamed as she fell to her front.
"Raven!" Garfield cried out. She was about to be killed when two electrified eskrima sticks shocked its head, shutting down the enemy as it fell down.
"Raven, are you all right?!" The titan leader asked his friend.
"Feeling... very weak." She replied. "Where did you get those back?"
"I'm Nightwing." He smirked as he looked back to see he was being surrounded again. Throwing three ammunition discs, they landed at the feet of the incoming robots when they opened and shot out many tiny lasers, swiftly cutting them down to size. Any remaining where battered away by Terra using a robot as a bat. Rose managed to get herself into a winning lock hold as she held its head down, allowing the daughter of Slade to knee it in the stomach before hammering her fists into its back, dropping it into the ground where it was decapitated by her swords she drew out.
"I hope Starfire's doing alright." The white haired woman panted. Brainiac meanwhile seemed pleased that he disintegrated the female titan, since she was no longer in sight. However, faster than she was blown away, the Tamaranean warrior screamed as she smashed through one of the eyes and rammed herself into the Coluan, her clothes in rags but her body mostly undamaged aside from blood coming from her nose as she gripped the super villain's head, the cyborg yelling painfully as she gripped her fingers into his cranium.
"My turn." Flying the both of them out, the warrior princess flew out, blasting Brainiac with a barrage of starbolts, each creating an explosion against him. Focusing her power inward, Starfire waited until she reached critical mass and roared, her energy exploding out like a lime colored supernova. Overwhelming the Coluan's body as it disintegrated with nary a sound. Everything stopped to witness such a powerful display.
"Attagirl." Richard grinned. And it didn't take long before Starfire came back to fight with her friends, flying through the eye again and smashing her way through the walls before meeting up with the team. Punching a robot out and kicking another in half, Starfire flipped her hair with an exhausted puff.
"Whoo, that was... quite the rush." However, the next course of action before even more robots came back was Nightwing taking his girlfriend, bending her over, and kissing the Tamaranean. The two moaned and kissed before the titan leader pulled away.
"That was awesome." She giggled to his compliment.
"Thank you Nightwing."
"Trash, you will never win against me." Brainiac's voice was heard as more doors opened up, revealing more robots of all shapes and sizes. Eventually, a copy of the Coluan showed himself, appearing to be greatly irritated. "Do you even know why I took those islands from your world?"
"Each time I tried to ask you, you said it was not our business." Nightwing replied. "Why now?"
"I was not expecting such a difficult resilience. I took your islands... to figure out the ultimate beach vacation for myself." Everyone stood still for a solid 20 seconds before Rose flatly questioned,
"What?"
"Do you think it's easy trying to become the sole bearer of all the knowledge of the universe, destroying each planet one by one? I constantly have to expand my ship to contain each planet's complete knowledge after doing my routine. I needed to balance my life and get some relaxation in. I was going to return them. But now that you've given me more trouble then you're worth, I'll kill you all here and now."
"Dude, if you wanted to R&R, just go to a beach." Garfield told him. "No need to steal one to study it."
"And risk self-destructing when Superman tricked me into experiencing what a swamp was like up close and personal? My safe bottled versions are much better. And you're ruining my vacations plans." The Coluan growled hatefully. "I shall disect you all, analyze you, and destroy both Earth and Tamaran without even bothering to collecting cities. You've made their data expendable to the rest of the universe."
"No way!" Stafire protested as she flew and punched Brainiac away. She and Terra then went to town as they destroyed and crushed the army surrounding them, attracting the heaviest fire power. The rest of the titans either hid or battled with the rest. As Starfire tried to take another go at Brainiac, he punched her straight into a different room, where tendrils took hold of the alien princess's limbs and pulled them taught. The supervillain suspened himself over her as she became electrocuted, screaming in agony. "Now, I shall take everything you know of Tamaran, and kill you!"
"Wait!" Just as he was about to stick wires into her head, he turned towards Raven, whom followed them, on her hands and knees from how tired she was. "You would be able... to take the knowledge... of Tamaran and destroy it any... time. But I come from... a dimension that's already... destroyed. Only a shadow remains. I am... one of the last few of... my people. Of Azarath. You've never encountered a human/demon hybrid, have you?"
"You're telling me you hold knowledge I'd never possess on my own?"
"Yes. Let my friends live, and you can take my knowledge without a fight."
"If I get your knowledge and keep your corpse, I'll let your friends go. I already have the data I need for my vacation and repairs afterward."
"Deal."
"Raven, no!" Starfire objected, still being electrocuted, but not as much now.
"I know what I'm doing." Producing one last tentacle from his back, Brainiac was about to invade her mind. In her thoughts, she said,
("Azarath Metrion Zinthos!") Brainiac's eyes widened as her eyes glowed white, and everything went dark around him. White dots twinkled as he was in her mind. Nevermore.
"What is this? I've never seen something like this in any organism's mind." As he took in everything in her mind, his black eyes kept widening. "All this knowledge. It's... indecipherable. I can read it... but it won't translate."
"That's because I won't let it." He heard Raven's voice everywhere. "You may be much smarter than me, Brainiac, but I know things no one else should know. Stuff that would kill you just from knowing. Want a look?" The Culan screamed as his brain began to fill with knowledge. Knowledge that hurt. Mentally, physically and spiritually. Everything about what he was knowing was attacking him, for he shouldn't know it. He backed away, but bumped into a tree. Turning, he was kicked by Brave, the green cloaked Raven laughing as she caused his head to spark. All of Raven's emoticlones surrounded him. Knowledge spoke up.
"Is it too much? Knowing things that are forbidden for those not capable of handling them? Don't worry, those are the least of your problems." All of the clones slide to merge into one, rising higher and higher as she took the form of a giant demon. The Unkindness. Brainiac was terrified as it roared, and lunged. Brainiac in real life was screaming as all of his pink light bulbs exploded. He fell to his knees, allowing Rose to decapitate his head with a sword swing while Nightwing batted the head into a stony grip of Terra's large rock hand, before it was crushed, then smashed into the ground.
"Well, that was something." The blonde metahuman panted.
"So... now what?" Ravager asked, shrugging as she crossed her arms.
"First, we'll explain what happened. Then, it's-"
"-Milkshakes!" Jinx cheered as the titans, all good and healthy, were celebrating their victory over Brainiac, returning the islands and having turned the skull ship over the the Justice League.
"Wow, so is Gaea like gone now?" Garfield asked.
"No. Eventually the spell will wear off, and Gaea will be back. She's a strong willed personality, and those are hard to lock away permanently." Raven sighed.
"So I guess after the milkshakes I'll be going back there, huh?" Terra looked down, crestfallen.
"You will, but don't worry. At least you finally helped us." The sorceress tried to comfort her, but the blonde was still depressed. Beast took her left hand, still missing its pinky, and he assured her,
"Terra, just for the sake of closure, I still like you. All of us like you. We wish we could help you and you could be one of us. I may no longer love you, but the time we spent together, including this one with the milkshakes, they will be cherished." Terra smiled with tears coming to her eyes as she hugged him,
"Thank you Beast Boy. I'm sorry I put you through so much because of Gaea."
"Don't worry about it." Raven just sat there sipping her chocolate milkshake, letting them have their moment. When it was time to go, the titans went back home while Terra willingly went back into the trash hole. The same dark bleak sky, the same foul oders, and right back to being as filthy as the garbage around her. Or so she thought, when Raven's soul-self flew out of the portal, and swept over an area, magically creating a rectangular house before retreating out and the portal closing. Terra was shocked as she went in, and found it to be an exact replica of the titan living room. Exploring it, she found that the TV was functional, the food was fresh and regenerative so no more leftovers, there was clean water for the shower/bath, and her bedroom had rows of clean clothes. Noticing herself in the mirror, she looked into her face, still cracked looking from her scar. Only the cracks were disappearing, and there she stood, a beautiful blonde girl with brown eyes and nothing wrong. She touched her face and still felt the scars, but the mirror didn't seem to show there was any. Terra smiled as fresh tears streaked down her face. Closure with her friends and a new house for all her needs. Even with her banishment from other humans, this was much, much better than anything she could ask.
"Thank you." She uttered.
In the tower, all of the titans sighed as they all plopped down on the couch.
"Whew, that was awesome." Jinx giggled.
"We have certainly kicked the butt, have we?" Starfire asked.
"Indeed we did Star. Indeed we did." Raven agreed.
"So Rae, what's keeping Gaea from coming back if she can use earth to travel dimensions?" Beast asked.
"Since I created that dimension, I can just make it only I can transverse it since she doesn't have magic equal to or greater than mine."
"Thanks for saving us. And what an impressive team to save us." Nightwing congratulated the girls, whom gave each other fist bumps.
"Yeah, if only was conscious to see it!" Beast nodded.
"At least now we can relax." Cyborg sighed, along with the rest of them sinking into the couch. That is until a bright light filled the room, and something appeared in the living room. They all gasped to see it was a time machine, and the occupants, were the titans themselves in their early 30's!
"Whoa! What are you doing here?!" Richard questioned in amazement.
"Hello us. We need your help to save the world, and it involves a time machine."
A/N: Oh my goodness. It's a good thing I went with a trimmed down version of Eris's review, taking inspiration from Superman Unbound and Injustice 2. If I had done Eris's story completely faithfully, this would be much, much longer. Who knew writing about Brainiac within a plot of Operation Dude Rescue would be so big? I hope you like this.
