Chapter Six

Jin's new apartment came with a huge swimming pool. He never used it of course, being a loner and hiding beneath his hoodie but once Nina had heard of it, she would visit him and use the pool as his guest.
It was an odd arrangement but Jin liked her company. It was better than listening to the devil egging him to hurt himself. Being told to poke his eyes, stab himself or cross the road on a green light plagued him with nightmares.
Having Nina around made him think about having food in his kitchen and holding down a job to keep himself from being dirt poor and a target for Heihachi.
He'd try to help her with her memories as a way of rectifying his grandfather's crime.
Today was raining badly and to his surprise, Nina still came to him.
"I'm going to take a swim." She says, taking off her top and jeans to reveal a red bikini.
"What? In the rain?!"
"Feel free to join me." She challenges before stepping out of his apartment.
From the comfort of his balcony, Jin watches Nina dive into the pool as it rained. The bright red bikini shines beneath the ripples. Who was brave enough to swim in the lashing rain? Nina Williams of course.
Perhaps he should join her.
No, it was better watching her. It was as if time had slowed down.
This was a remarkable woman.
