Irish Gal : You're making me sound like I love poetry which I'm not big on really. I don't know how or why Jina just turns me a bit poetic, I just come up with these lines whenever I think of them. You know that story I did many years ago, Seizing the Soul? That entire one-shot fic was inspired inwardly. The whole 'Live' thing, I just come up with that randomly. Most of my writing is from internal inspiration, I would say about Eighty percent (could be more). I could be working and suddenly these Jina conversations and their moments of chemical romance just pops out of nowhere from my mind. It's all good fun. I have to search for songs afterwards to match how I see these two.
The reason for Nina's reaction to Jin's Devil Jin truth, as you know, Jina here have romantic love. Not purely platonic. If it were platonic, she'd run away because when it comes to non blood/ non parental esque relations, platonic love isn't as strong as romantic love ( a mixture of romantic/ sexual and platonic love). Pure platonic love only looks good if it's between parent and child figures (Like Jun/Jin and Baek/Hwoa) or sibling figures. People tend to move mountains for the ones they are in love with and not for those who they just see as just a friend or just bed buddy. Harsh truth but the love songs are not about good friends. That being said, I found another surprise in T6 sc gameplay which just really felt like Nina was deeply in love with Jin the whole time. I'll show you soon. It just melted my heart. She says certain things to certain people that just makes it so damn obvious. She be moving mountains for her man. ;'D
Thanks for the review! I love them as you inspire me to write essays! You're doing something right.
Someone Random: Thanks for letting me know this story runs three hours long, I had no idea. Also judging by your caplocks, you seem to have enjoyed this story? Thanks. I am so happy that you, 'someone random' took the time to leave such a review.
Chapter Nineteen

.
-Six Months Later-
.
.
Nina, along with Jin and Julia make themselves comfortable at the quiet bar which was decorated up in Nineties fashion. It was recommended to her by that Korean lady- Valentina, who sometimes visited her at the place she worked. It was slightly dark with the occasion strobe lightening languidly running over the furniture. The walls were painted with music artists from each year of the nineties. The speakers uttered out Nineties tunes. For the first time in months, Nina felt this strange déjà vu feeling. A haunting one when she took note of the colorful plastic chairs, the diner like tables, the décor and the overall vibe of an era long put to sleep. They order their drinks quickly and it arrives just as quick.
He didn't even have to look at her to sense her slight unease. Automatically, his hand smooths over hers. In response, she gently caresses his hand with a thumb. Half a minute in, Jin finally looks at her. Her eyes were on the pictures on the walls. Observing their surroundings, like the observant woman she was. It is an interesting trait to have. While he was lost in his thoughts, she was scanning the surroundings and it felt like she made things safer just by doing that. She might even sense him studying her but that didn't stop Jin.
PDA wasn't his thing but his eyes couldn't help but give Nina's blonde hair a look over. There was so many blue eyed blondes in the world. Yet, this is the one whom he couldn't keep his eyes off of. They said when you loved someone, everything about them became so beautiful. Eyes, lips, hair, mannerisms…and Jin finally can agree with that. Even the side profile of her face, the heart shape of those pink lips beckoned him to just lean close and kiss her. Another tempting thought crosses his mind. He wondered how it'll feel if he leaned close and took her bottom lip between his teeth, just lightly as a tease. When her eyes would turn dark with desire at his kiss….
"Darling, if you keep staring at me like that and not communicating with me, I'd think you're having second thoughts." She tells him in a languid playful tone.
"So you caught me out."
Unable to resist any longer, he reaches for those beautiful golden locks of hers and caresses a few strands, careful not to undo her half clipped up hair. She finally grew out her hair and it reached a little past her shoulders. It may be an odd gesture to some but Nina wasn't complaining though because whenever he did that, it always comforts and excites her. They were two weirdos in a pod who have their own language and own way of doing things. The good kind of weirdos and not the bad ones.
Suddenly it feels like something was telling him to act upon this desire because something ominous was on the horizon.
Once Julia gets up and leaves the table to join her date on the dancefloor, Nina decides to tell Jin something quite funny while they drank their drinks. She takes out her phone and shows him what she'd listed him as on her contacts.
"I have you listed as Savage Sword on my contacts." Nina reveals to Jin, it was her favorite move of his.
He smirks. "Naming me as a weapon. Who are you trying to use me against?"
"My enemies." She teases back. "If anyone is burning with jealousy at us, I have nothing to fear. I know you'll back me up, my Savage Sword."
"So confident."
Jin then takes out his phone from his leather jacket and scrolls through his contact list. Like Nina's it was small.
"Here's my nickname for you."
She takes a peek at his screen and saw that he had her listed as 'Blonde Bombshell'
A grin spreads across her lips. "That's a tad sexy don't you think?"
Blonde Bombshell. The equivalent of calling her a sexy mama or something. Jin, you naughty naughty man, she thinks as her eyes sparkle in amusement. Then she realised both their nicknames for each other could be classed as having sexual connotations.
"Maybe you should call me something sexy instead." Jin offers in a deep baritone and with eyes also sparkling with amusement.
He never said the word 'sexy' before. Nina had to hold back the urge to laugh. Jin actually went there. He went there! Oh! She loved this man.
"Like what? Mi amor? Meine Liebe?" She teases, a naughty glint in her eyes and her tone shifts to a flirty deep hum as she slightly tilts her head to the side. "Mon Rayan De Soleil?"
My ray of sunshine.
They chuckle together. She even imitated the French dialect when uttering those words, just like how she heard it on the film they watched together last night.
"If you want to pick a new name for me, I suggest, Ma Sirene." Nina says, tracing his jawline seductively.
"What does that mean?"
"Siren. I'm your siren, baby. Put your sailor cap hat on." The blonde woman utters while leaning close to him.
She wouldn't bring him to ruin, instead, it'll be quite the opposite. After all, he is her favorite person. She got the idea when she was lounging around the yacht with Jin. He wore a captain hat. Once they decided to be more than friends, Nina suggested that they start doing something to seal the deal. Like a kiss on the neck or something to break the ice. She felt like a siren that day. There was a sudden surge of sexiness she felt after the hug they shared. It was impossible to forget how she shoved him against the seat with a fiery look in her eyes and an amused but happy one in his. Happy at her roughness. When she sat close to him and gave him access to her neck…he actually pressed a kiss against it, making her close her eyes in pleasure. They boarded that boat as friends and left it as lovers. That thought alone brought a smile to her lips.
Upon seeing that dreamy smile on her lips, Jin smiles too.
A man noticed them from across the table. The young couple were too occupied with each other, giving vibes of an obvious happy couple that it makes him burn in jealousy. Shameless youth. Had he been in his, he would have thrown a tantrum about it. But his occupation required him to practice patience and strike like an alligator. He would strike. Just not now.
"The first time I realised I had feelings for you was when you swam in the pool outside my place. You wore a red bikini and it was raining." Jin utters, bringing her back to reality.
Well, this was new. He never did tell her what the defining moment of him falling for her was until now.
"Oh yes, I invited you to swim too. Why didn't you join me?"
"If I did join you on that day, the pool would have caught fire." Jin replies with a straight face.
His words create a fire that spreads so fast and it turns her mind blank, consuming and becoming like burning embers, threatening to steal the air from her lungs like a heated kiss between hungry lovers. Nina's heart quickens and she inhales sharply. Fire in the pool? What was he planning to do that day? When she eventually got her bearings back, Nina lets out a soft chuckle. Her naughty and unpredictable Kazama.
Jin takes note of how long it took for his blonde to react. He got her good this time. A smug smirk spread across his lips. He might have not had the gall to admit this a few months ago but now, his confidence was so high that he just had to let her know. If she was reacting like he just melted her into a puddle in this moment, then he'd been feeling that burn for weeks.
Love did a strange thing to him.
"Oh, if only you did set the pool on fire, you heartbreaker, you." Nina teases and tilts her head to the side slightly, observing that wicked gleam in Jin's beautiful eyes.
Now he mentioned it, she regretted that he didn't do it. She was going to dream of that moment now. Him getting into the pool, swimming ever so slowly towards her as they locked eyes, sharing an intense gaze between them that stops her from slipping away, his skin close to her bosom as his lips inch towards hers…
"Maybe we could go for a swim later on." He suggests. It isn't the end of the world.
"How about a bath?" She offers seductively. "Tonight."
Before he could answer that, a waiter approached to clear their table. Jin checked the time on his phone and waited for the waiter to move away. He stands up and Nina looks at him with a questioning look.
"Just where do you think you're going, mister?"
"Follow me and find out."
"But I don't know where." Nina feigns a look of shock. She caught him looking at his watch and figures he had something up his sleeve.
Jin rolls his eyes in response. Then he leans forward, just stopping a couple of inches from her face. Her heart pounds at his proximity.
In that deep soft tone she loves, he says, "It wouldn't be a surprise if you knew."
"Who says I like surprises?" She teases in response.
The next thing she knows was that Jin leads her to an ajoined room where he scans a code on his phone for entry. It was a quiet music room next door which could only be accessed if you paid for the tickets and it was one table per hour. No one else was in that room which gave the couple all the freedom to explore the instruments lying around. Like the bass guitar, octa pad, drums and whatnot. They have a go at everything. She's never done this before and the new experience was quite interesting. Jin always had fun things for them to do. Normal couple things that Nina never ever imagined she'd be doing. Such things might have been trivial to others but to her, it was very significant. There was something profound about experiencing this with the person she loves most in the world. She probably wouldn't have come up with this idea on her own. Time always seemed to fly fast when they were enjoying things together.
There is a keyboard and Jin remembered taking some piano lessons at a mandatory music class back at school. He didn't think he was the best musician in the world but remembered some tunes which helped him deal with his turmoil at times. It was a way to express his emotions when his words couldn't. He then picked one that both he and Nina really loved. It was one of their tunes. He plays the instrument and it wasn't long until Nina begin humming and singing along.
A warm smile spreads across Jin's face. Her humming and singing was a gift to his ears. She catches his smile and her eyes twinkle in response.
If Jin was the music, then she was the song.
A perfect combination.
Nina excuses herself to make a special request to the DJ when Julia came back to their table. The brunette thanks Jin for taking care of her clutch bag before opening it and putting on her red dangling earrings again.
While she stood to speak to the DJ, she felt someone slap her ass from behind. It was so hard that her entire body almost shook forward. Nina would have fallen on her knees if it weren't for her quick balancing herself on her heels.
"Sexy bitch!" A man said in a thick European accent. She spun around to see who had the audacity to slap her ass. Bastard left her with a sting.
It was a tall man with lines on his face and a beach blonde ponytail. The leering man reaches out for Nina's hair. He stank of cigarettes.
Her hand leaps up to grasp his hand before it could reach her clean golden tresses.
"Don't touch me." Nina warns coldly. If he dared touch her hair, she'd probably end up breaking his wrist. Extreme but don't fucking touch Nina Williams' hair if you ain't special to her. That was a rule.
He looks intimidated and she knees him in the crotch. He jerks back in pain, his hands immediately go to his aching groin and she gives him deadly look. She didn't want to cause a scene but damn, kicking him in the crotch was a good call. If he stuck around, he'd get another kick too. He wouldn't be getting lucky with anyone tonight.
"Now fuck off." Nina hisses.
He fucks off. Much to her delight. The stench of cigarettes leaves with him too.
Suddenly the music changes and so does the lights. He knew that song. Jin saw a flash of blonde hair from the corner of his eyes and turns to see Nina on the dancefloor. She was looking at him with fire in her eyes. So that's why she slipped away without a word. She begin dancing in a way they had practiced before as neither of them were spontaneous dancers. They had to practice.
Nina moves like water, smoothly and effortlessly.
Instantly, he is mesmerized by her moves. Her body was beckoning his to join her.
"Go, on. Don't leave your lady waiting." Julia uttered lowly, a smile on her lips. She pulls Nina's clutch bag close to show that she'd take care of his girlfriend's stuff.
Jin gives Julia a quick small smile before shooting off to the dancefloor.
Julia observes the happy couple dancing in each other's arms. Nina in a stylish black dress and Jin was wearing grey slacks and a white and black striped shirt. The two looked so complementary and gave off this power couple vibe to her. Especially when they move in sync during the dance. Nina was moving like she suddenly had a zest for life, twirling her head around, writhing somewhat seductively around Jin…it was as if the music had possessed such a usually composed person. Truth be told, she had no idea how these two fell in love. It was an enigma. She smiles warmly and hopes a happy future for the both of them. They deserved it.
Her date joins her on the table.
"What a beautiful couple." He comments. "May no one cast their evil eye on them."
"Jin, is that Nagasawa guy going to meet up with you anytime soon?"
"He's arriving in a few weeks."
"Why did you not keep in touch with all your friends?
"The only way I could keep them safe was to stay away from them." Jin finishes.
His heavy sigh didn't go unnoticed by her. She feels his resignation on not being able to hang out with his friends from school. He sacrificed so they'd be safe. Nina didn't feel as if she had the heart to make such a sacrifice. It was too much to bear. It only spoke of his strength of character to her and her respect for him grew even more.
"When things settle down, you'd be able to see them again." Nina says, with hope in her voice.
He glances at the blonde who lay on their bed in nothing but a strapless dress.
"I hope so."
For the past six months, Jin became more chill. His hatred for his grandfather was still there but he was not the angry young man dead set on vengeance. Devil didn't come out either to play. In the last six months, he and Nina were together, life was brilliant and they both were happy. He didn't want to spoil it by pursing vengeance but Heihachi needed to be dealt with.
"I also hope to knock Heihachi off his throne and take it for myself."
Nina chuckles. "New king in charge. You want me to be your queen?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I? I'd like us both to helm the Zaibatsu and run it as per our wishes."
He loves that it felt like he had an exciting goal to look forward too and it was even better than he wasn't alone. Nina is by his side. He was glad he was able to help turn her life around and let her know what happiness felt like. What being loved felt like.
He sees the smirk on her face as she lay on the bed on her side, propping her hand under her head.
"I'd love that. Better than being a bartender and drowning in endless exams and coursework."
Her and Jin. Zaibatsu's very own king and queen. Their lives sorted. Future sorted. Endless luxury. Getting rid of forced experiments. Commanding an army. Bossing people about. She wasn't going to say no to that. She felt this sudden surge of emotions, as if her heart swelled a bit and a rush of warmth under her skin.
Nina's gaze falls on Jin who puts a pile of clothes on the bed for sorting.
She truly loved being with this man. Being with him and being his love. Learning that she had the capacity to love and be loved in return. What they had was like the world's – no scratch that, the universe's biggest treasure. At times she wondered, what did she do to be blessed with that gift. She never wanted to lose this. Never wanted to lose Jin. But more than that, she never wanted him to lose his happiness. His joy. Thank god, her presence in his life stopped him from becoming lost to despair and pain.
Fucking hell, I love that man so much.
She smiles at the sight of Jin neatly folding their clothes back into the suitcases. That habit of his was really so endearing. So Jin-like. He woke up and always made the bed. She'd wake up earlier than him. Wherever he was, the place was so spotless. This man took a shower everyday, groomed himself well, smelt so good and wore that sexy perfume she loved. He could have anyone he wanted and yet he chose her.
He knew the moment he was in love with her but she didn't know when she fell in love with him. It just happened.
"Hey," Jin's deep baritone gets her attention.
"Hmm?" Nina responds, meeting his dark mischievous eyes.
"If you keep looking at me like that, you'd fall more in love with me." He teases.
She smirks. "Then let me fall."
He feels the bed shift and sees the blonde make her way towards him. She gets on her knees and her hands find his chest. Her hands slide up to caress his face and then move to the back of his head, her fingers threading through his thick dark hair. Her lovely blue eyes captivate him.
"Love." Nina whispers to Jin.
She would love him again and again, in whatever lifetimes there was if any. If fact, she associated Jin with the word itself. Love.
For her he was love.
Her love. Her blessing. Her sun, moon and stars. Hers.
Jin decides now he had the chance to make his move. His lips falls upon hers in a stolen kiss. He even takes her bottom lip between his teeth and gives it a sensual squeeze. Her moan escapes from her mouth and went into his, muffling it. They both lock lips with fervor. His hand weaves through her hair while hers slips under his shirt, pressing against his skin, relishing at the contact.
She is his sun, moon, stars and his love. His to love and cherish. His.
Her knees give away and he falls with her on the bed. Jin places his forearms on the bed to prevent his weight from crushing her while Nina wraps her legs around his waist. Lips latching in a rising frenzy. Every kiss she has to offer is his and his alone.
They press together as if they can't get closer enough, as if they were the source of each other's life and they couldn't get enough of each other.
If this carries on any longer he'd have to wipe her lipstick off his lips unless he wants her to do that for him...
Jin gives her a final quick press on her lips before parting and looking into her eyes. Both of them breathing heavily from this unexpected makeout. Her rouge lipstick smeared wildly over him.
The result of them making love to each others' lips.
She beholds the glorious sight. Reluctantly, Nina reaches out to wipe off the marks she left on him. The marks they left on each other were not just literal. It was funny really. With Jin, she found parts of herself she never knew existed. She really did find herself. Her being in Jin's life seemed to do wonders for him too. He came a long way from being the moody loner.
Jin relishes in her touch and as his breath hitches when she presses her shoulder to his lips as a way to remove the lipstick marks on him. Slowly and sensually dragging him across to her other shoulder. Closing his eyes and breathing her in, once he finds her other shoulder, Jin gently bites it. Her moan makes him bite her again. He realizes that because of this wonderful woman, he didn't lose himself. When she was with him, he never would. He cups her cheek tenderly. Nina Williams. The only woman other than his mother to have such emotional impact on him.
"Marry me." He whispers.
"Pick a date." Nina replies.
"How about now?"
She presses another kiss to his lips. "No paperwork, darling?"
His fingers weave through her hair. She closes her eyes as he kisses her forehead. Lipstick mark be damned. Jin finally gets off her and stands up to his height.
"That could come later. Right now, we are married from the moment we agreed."
She smirks in response to that. He extends a hand to her and she takes it. With warmth in his eyes, Jin puts a hand behind her head and sweeps down to her face.
He steals another kiss from her lips and breath is a ragged pull that knocks some sense into them to have some restraint. When her love was stealing kisses from her, it is almost impossible to practice restraint. Once again, Nina's curious hands slid under his shirt and she gets a feel of his toned chest. Running her fingers over each groove like her fingers were trying to memorize it's shape.
"I'm going to run a bath." Nina declares. "And I'm not going to lie, I want you in there with me."
Spoken like a boss. He loves it.
"Honeymoon already?" Jin teases, his eyes glistening. Her touch arousing him.
She has to have the last kiss so she steals one before parting from him.
Nina stirs the bubble bath contently, dressed in nothing in a gown, she stirs until she'd satisfied with the temperature of the water. Things were getting too good in her life and she wonders if pain would ever touch her again. Probably not. Pain could fuck off. Now her life should only be about pleasure and happiness. Joy after joy. With her Jin. She sighs wistfully as she turns off the tap. They've already committed to each other from their hearts.
She heard the bathroom door click open. Finally, loverboy was joining her. She didn't turn around though, instead opting to say something and see if he wraps his arms around her. Oh she loves being in those arms of his.
"You sexy bastard, you couldn't resist could you?"
Should she slip off her robe? Before she could tug at the sash a hand roughly smashed against her lips from behind. Another arm snakes around her waist to keep her still.
What the fuck?!
The stench of cigarettes made her scrunch her nose. There is a struggle and Nina manages to wriggle free.
What did he do to Jin?!
To Nina's surprise, it is a man in a ski mask. He had serial killer vibes. In a flash, he charges towards her taking her by surprise. Nina slips out of his way and strikes him with her palm.
If this bastard hurt Jin, then he deserved a good beating and Nina went all out with her attacks.
How it happened, Nina didn't know. In a matter of seconds, he had the upper hand, used his brute strength to force her head into the bathwater. His hand tightening on her neck. Nina weakly swings her arms to try and break free. Her face is fully submerged into the water, any attempts to scream or do anything had bubbles coming out and water getting in.
Her head begins to pound. The man shoves her entire body into the water with ease. There is a huge splash.
God, was she going to die like this?!
.
.
.
Oh no, poor Nina. She's the happiest she'd ever been in her life and this happens. :O
I've got a Jina playlist for a few fics of mine and one main one for canon. When they're on their bikes and racing through the city, I always imagine Weeknd's Blinding Lights playing.
There's so many songs I got for them in multiple languages. I may need to post a full playlist on Tumblr or somewhere because I can't fit it all on here.
