Hello, I hope your having a nice day or evening!
So I decided to break this in to 3 parts. While I was writing I checked the word count and I knew I couldn't fit the whole thing into one part. This part does start the challenge, and also focuses a lot more on relationships and alliances that begin to form. It is pretty lengthy, so you can take your time with it.
So I hope you enjoy this part😉👍
Episode 1 Part 2 "Time to turn on the charm!"
As the commercial break ended, the contestants could be seen making their way off the boat.
"Dang, I'm gonna be livin in a jungle. In nature," Serenna said as she made her way off the boat first, walking down a platform. "I don't think my nails have scratched a tree in my whole life."
"I feel ya girl, if anyone is out of their comfort zone it's me," Gabe said as he was second to come off the boat.
"What do you guys do? Lock yourself in your house all day?" Ingrid asked as she was third to come off the ship.
"That would be the dream scenario," Gabe said as he turned to smile cheekily at her. "Unfortunately that's not how life works."
"Well duh. There's more to life than a couch and a bed," Ingrid snorted with a slight eye roll.
"When inside has wifi and outside has trees, I think I know what I'm picking. And it wouldn't be outside," Serenna just said as she glanced around at the beach area.
The three came to a stop on the beach, as the others began to exit the boat.
"What island is this, man? Looks neat," Stefan just noted as he was next to exit the boat, he walked over to the other three.
"Hmm...from my previous collection of intell. We are somewhere in Southern Asia," Kelvin informed him as he got out of the boat afterwards. Everyone stared at him confused on how he knew that.
"And who the hell gave you that info?" Ingrid asked skeptically as she turned to face the experimentee.
"It was in the audition information packet. Did no one read and analyze it?" Kelvin just then asked.
"I usually skip a page long tutorial. How would they expect me to read a 5 page info packet," Gabe playful rolled his eyes. He began drawing on the sand just for something to do.
"I didn't read it either. What else would we need to know about this show other than you survive, win challenges, vote people off and so on," Ingrid shrugged.
"Didn't read it, got better things to spend 10 minutes of my life on," Serenna said uncaringly, while Stefan shook his head to signify he didn't either.
"Oh. Well I didn't know information about the weather, food, shelter, animals, risks, and endangerment are not important to you all. I apologize for my query," Kelvin apologized looking down in embarrassment. Everyone stared at him again after hearing that.
Confessionals
🎮Gabe- "Who knew that audition packet had so much juicy info..juicy info which I didn't read", He let out an awkward chuckle as he scratched his head, "Hey, at least we have a human tutorial manual! Kelvin!"
**Static**
💪Ingrid- "Man, they brought some smarties out here. You see, in life there's normal smart and then there is weird smart. This guy is definitely weird smart, with an emphasis on weird. But hey I won't judge yet."
**Static**
👽Kelvin- "I didn't know it is bad social practice to completely read a document of information about an unknown location that you'll be spending a long period of time at. Report: I now know"
End
"That was all in the packet, dude!? Wow we missed out didn't we. Bruh, my friend Sharon said I should of read it, but like no one listens to Sharon back home," Stefan stated as he then patted Kelvin on the back, "Your a smart one, bro."
Balaam was next to come out, he just walked up to the group stepping on Gabe's sand drawing in the process. Gabe looked at his now deformed shape of a sand human being.
"Darn it, I was making progress. Well his nose was a bit crooked, but it was progress..game over.." Gabe shrugged, not seeming to care.
Esme and Daisy were next off the boat.
"Looks way better up close," Daisy said as she did a small twirl to get the full scope of the tropical setting.
"They do, don't they?" Esme said, although she was looking at the boys instead of the island.
"Definitely," Daisy agreed, nodding her head and giving a smile.
She then took a moment to reflect on the sentence. "They? You mean 'it' right?"
"They. It. Whatever you want to call your dream man, I won't judge" Esme shrugged as she walked off.
Confessionals
🎸Esme- "Okay, so I already have decided on the guys who look interesting. Balaam is the essence of tall, dark, and handsome. Ryder is so adorable, but then again he's the size of some of my students. Stefan seems pretty chill. And Howie really can rock a sweater. But for now, I'll focus on the game"
**Static**
😊Daisy- "I promise boys aren't my priority! I was only talking about the island!" Daisy said as she looked slightly red in the face, "I'm more curious about the challenge and teams to worry about guys anyways"
End
Cece made her way off the boat with Ryder. Cece just casually strolled over to the group, while Ryder hopped over with energy and excitement.
"Are we still waiting for the host?" Cece asked everyone.
"What does it look like," Balaam replied to her bluntly.
"I don't know, that's why I'm asking," Cece quirked back.
Hearing the comment, Ingrid turned on her heels to face Balaam.
"It looks like you're being rude. Just tell her yes, geez," Ingrid huffed in just turned to Ingrid now, raising an eyebrow.
"You're still mad over that game? Talk about sore loser," Balaam muttered, his cocky smile coming back on his face.
"..You'd hope I'm not on your team," Ingrid groaned although he could still hear it.
"And you'd hope to be on my team. It is gonna be the winning team after all," Balaam quipped back.
"What winning team?" Ryder asked as he curiously walked over, stepping on Gabe's sand drawing as he made his way over.
"Oh come on! I literally had the nose to it's perfection this time! This is a work zone, peeps!" Gabe complained, as he once again had to start over drawing in the sand.
Soon everyone else had exited the boat. Although as they came out, they all stepped upon Gabe's drawing. His sand work was now just a bunch of footprints.
"Wow, thanks. I appreciate you guys so much right now," Gabe said, with a fake casually tone as all he could do was watch.
Now everyone was standing on the beach in a large crowd.
"This place actually..seems beautiful. Although the audition packet did warn of some predators, so lets be careful," Howie commented.
"Oh you actually read the whole document?" Kelvin asked him, now seeming intrigued. "That is odd since majority of the people didn't. You did something most others seemed opposed to doing."
"Well I wanted to be safe that's all," Howie replied simply, "I suppose we shouldn't worry about animals out here on the beach."
"Animals never seem to be a large predicament on these shows anyways. We should be fine," Erin added, as she seemed to be analyzing everyone there. Most everyone was standing in the crowd chatting or just standing, except for Charlotte, Ashley and Gavin who were on the outside of the group.
"I'm less worried about animals. Humans are much more cruel beings..considering I'm here with 15 of them, I'm concerned.." Gavin stated while looking down.
Ashley glanced at him, before looking down to her notebook and beginning to write, "We finally arrived on the beach. We're all standing. As we're waiting eagerly, no, patiently waiting for the host we begin chattering amongst ourselves for time. A boy near me says something about being scared of the other people here. It's not like this is Lord of Flies, there is nothing to be afraid of. I looked at him. He looked nice, but from his tone I could tell something was wrong. Like he was dove with tethered wings-"
Gavin and Charlotte were now staring at her as she wrote and talked out loud, looking at her like she was off.
"Does she know she is talking out loud-" Charlotte said looking unnerved, as she turned to Gavin.
"Nope. Some people in the world are like this...Unfortunately. But trust me I've seen worst beings," Gavin sighed.
Soon everyone quieted down as they could see the host making their way over to them. They seemed to be discussing something. "Our hosts are finally coming, wow that's..a um..anyone got any good host puns?" Carter questioned, turning to face the group, but Serenna immediately clamped her hand over his mouth.
Caleb and Michigan finally stopped discussing, and turned to look at the competitors once they were close enough. "Well hello! I see you guys had an interesting boat ride here. Nice to meet you all. I'm your host, Caleb" Caleb introduced himself, giving them his charming smile.
Caleb then looked at his sister, who looked back at him expectedly.
"Aren't you gonna introduce yourself?" Caleb asked her.
"I thought you'd introduce me."
"You said you'd introduce yourself."
"I didn't."
"You did. We literally discussed this for 5 minutes."
"A waste of 5 minutes if you can't remember what I said."
"Really?"
"Don't make this complicated in front of them," Michigan said crossing her arms. Caleb groaned as he gave the contestants an embarrassed smile, "Give us a moment."
"Awkward-" Ryder muttered glancing at the other contestants.
"This is why I begged my mom not to give me any siblings. It worked," Serenna said as she shoved Carter to the ground using her hand that was still on his mouth.
"They're siblings?" Carter just asked, not bothering to get up.
"Well it's pretty obvious," Howie replied as he was the only one that tried to help Carter up.
Caleb finally turned back to the contestants, "Okay sorry about that. This is my...um..." He paused as he considered his word choice, "..vexatious sister, Michigan. She is also a host"
Michigan had a face of confusion as she looked at her brother, "Vexatious sister? I don't even know what vexatious means?"
"Exactly why I used the word. Anyways, the game has begun, so enough waiting lets sort you guys into teams of 8! Any questions before we do?" Caleb asked them.
Daisy raised her hand.
"Yes? Daisy, right?" Caleb asked her.
Daisy nodded before saying, "1. Where is Chris, no offense but I thought he was the host? 2. Do we get to pick our teams?"
"1. Who needs Chris when you have better quality hosts that come in a package of two. But um really, Chris got fired after the seasons stopped. They decided they needed a younger, clever, and more responsible host to appeal to a growing audience. 2. No, you will not pick your teams. You will draw from a bag and will be on the team of whatever color buff you get," Caleb answered while smiling.
Everyone nodded after hearing the answers.
"I call drawing first!" Ryder immediately said as he sprinted up to the twins. Michigan brought out a bag, and offered it to him, "Close your eyes, by the way short stuff"
Ryder closed his eyes muttering something under his breath, before pulling out a buff. He ended up pulling out an orange buff.
"Orange! Alright I got orange!" Ryder cheered as him put the buff around his arm. "So what does that mean?"
"It means anyone else that gets orange will be on your team," Caleb answered him.
"Well I call going next!" Ingrid announced as she ran and shoved her hand into the bag without waiting for a reply. She pulled out a yellow buff.
"Alright!" Ingrid cheered as she put the buff on her head like a bandana.
"Okay, so Ingrid got yellow and Ryder got orange. If you get yellow, stand with Ingrid. If you get orange, stand with Ryder," Caleb explained to make the rules clear.
Balaam went next, which he pulled a yellow buff. He smiled as he put it on his head. He glanced over at Ingrid, "Looks like your on the winning team after all"
Ingrid just looked repulsed, as she turned to the host, "Tell me we can switch buffs. I'm not dealing with this crap."
Michigan shrugged, "I said the same thing when the producers paired me with my brother. Sometimes life goes that way."
Caleb glanced at his sister with an offended look, but dismissed it ",Okay next person come get your buff!"
Confessionals
💪Ingrid- "So I'm on a team with this douche...nice."
**Static**
😈Balaam- "Ingrid obviously isn't someone I can work with, so I didn't want her sore loser-self on my team. The only benefit is she is probably strong in challenges. I need some people that I know I can form an alliance with, which probably will be the weaker people. I learned in the army if people believe they need you to survive, they'll do what you say. Let's test that out"
End
Carter drew next and got a yellow buff. "Yellow! From the team color, you can tell this is gonna be a pretty bright team! Get it?! Yellow has a pretty bright hue." Carter walked over to stand in between Balaam and Ingrid, who were standing a good distance apart. They both cringed at his attempt at a joke.
Carter turned at Balaam, "Hey your the guy that said my jokes weren't funny on the boat?"
"Cause they're not," Balaam answered simply. Carter seemed hesitant to reply, surprised by his brutal honesty.
"Well now that we're on a team I have all the time to change your mind then, when this show is over you'll be laughing watching yourself say I'm not funny cause by then you'll know I'm hilarious," Carter said putting a hand around his shoulder while grinning.
Balaam immediately shoved him away, "Don't even."
"I actually agree, please don't," Ingrid groaned, "I'm stuck with these two.."
Ashley was next to draw a buff, which she got an orange one.
"Alright! Welcome to team, teammate!" Ryder said as he offered her a high five as she walked over, but Ashley was too busy writing in her notebook to notice.
"I ended up on the orange team. I'm with Ryder, he seems interesting. He looks like a good person, pretty athletic as well-" Ashley just said, too invested in her writing.
Ryder just left his hand up in the air after not receiving the high five, "I guess you're not a high five person then. You really left me hanging teamie.."
He finally just high fived himself with his other hand. Charlotte went next, getting a yellow buff. She didn't say anything, but just walked over to her team in a nervous fashion.
Balaam looked at her with a look of interest for a moment, noticing her shy behavior. Cece and Daisy went next. Both of them ended up getting orange buffs.
"Aye! Welcome teammates!" Ryder cheered, offering them high fives as they walked over. Cece accepted the high five saying "I suppose this team isn't too shabby. It should work for me."
Daisy also accepted the high five more awkwardly, still remembering how Ryder fell on her earlier, "Thanks."
Erin drew next getting an orange buff. She glanced at her team as she walked over. Ryder of course offered her a high five, "Well to the team, teamie!"
Erin had a gentle smile as she accepted the gesture.
"It seems our team has a variety of skills. This should come in handy," Erin quipped as she then also noticed Ashley was on the team as well.
She tapped on Ashley's shoulder to get her attention, "Looks like we're teammates after all. Pretty interesting."
"Huh?! What-" Ashley jumped like she was just woken up from a deep sleep, "Oh. Ya I guess we are, sorry lost in my writing again. Oops"
"Your writing seems to be a social problem," Erin just said intellectually.
"I know, I have the habit of babbling out loud and getting lost in my own head.." Ashley admitted after agreeing with the comment, "oops."
"Oops is right! You left a good old high five hanging!" Ryder exclaimed as he turned to her.
"Oh sorry, probably best I put this away then.." Ashley said as she tucked her notebook away once again. Ryder then put up his hand, which Ashley now awkwardly gave him a high five.
Soon the rest of the other buffs were distributed with the rest of the orange going to Gabe, Stefan, and Kelvin. "Heya, we're on the same team!" Gabe smiled as he walked over with Stefan.
"That's dope! I didn't think we'd end up together! Plus looks like we have a pretty fly team as well," Stefan said as he glanced at his teammates.
"I'm glad I can serve as a participant in this group," Kelvin just said as he made his way over to stand with his team.
"Up high!" Ryder was now just handing out high fives to joining members, Ashley was muttering to herself, Daisy was just standing watching, and Cece and Erin were both observing everyone.
Confessionals
📺Erin- "So I feel pretty good about my new team. My main objective would be creating relationships with all the members on the team currently, as it is shown this is a social game at its core. Relationships are a substantial part of making it far"
**Static**
🏃 ️Ryder-"Yes! My team is looking good and I'm so pumped for this competition! I think with me on this team, we won't be losing any competitions any time soon"
End
This left Gavin, Esme, Howie, and Serenna to join the yellow team.
"Why do I have a feeling I won't like this team?" Serenna groaned as she walked over to the team.
"Don't worry, I have the same feeling," Ingrid said as she crossed her arms, and looked annoyed.
"I love how we all feel the same way," Gavin said with a sigh as he just glanced down.
"Feelings mutual," Balaam spoke up as well.
Carter chuckled at all the negativity.
"I can tell this is gonna be fun," Carter just said with a grim smile.
Confessionals
😭Gavin- "So I'm on this team..I think they hate me already. Well better sooner than later..." He frowned.
**Static**
Howie- "Wow my team sure is negative. If a team needs anything, it needs to have a good team spirit. And what provides the team spirit? The team leader! I look like worthy candidate, I'm safe, compassionate, and I'd like to believe I'm charismatic. Right?"
End
Caleb then clapped to get the contestants attention again. "Okay! So now that we have the teams it's time to get to the first competition!" Caleb exclaimed. Although Daisy raised her hand again.
"Question, Daisy?" Caleb asked her.
"Ya, um where are we gonna be staying? I haven't noticed any cabins out here," Daisy pointed out. Everyone else began to murmur after hearing the question.
"Daisy with the real questions," Balaam stated crossing his arms.
"I wouldn't mind living out here, that's the whole outdoor experience yo! Pretty cool if you ask me," Stefan said with the nod of his head.
"Good thing no one asked you then.." Cece said, as she straightened her fedora.
"We could live the wild life! Swing from vines! Climb trees! Hunt animals!" Ryder suggested as he sprang up into the air so he could be heard over everyone talking.
"Am I the only more concerned about eating the animals out here, than I am about the animals eating me? So I'd pass on the hunting idea," Gabe said, "Unless we can pull a Mario and make mushrooms appear from nothing, I'm not eating anything out here."
"Okay we get it! Silence!" Michigan said to finally quiet them down.
"So there are cabins for tonight. Although they're a trek away. Your challenge today is actually to trek through the jungle and find the cabins. Although, there are some obstacles along the way so be careful when traveling. The first team to have all members at the cabin site wins pick of a cabin as well as immunity from tonight's elimination," Caleb explained.
"Tonight? We hardly know each other, how are we supposed to decide who goes home?" Esme asked, frowning.
"I've done the trek. Trust me, it's a long enough time that you can have the same conversations 10 times," Michigan assured her.
"Okay then, and how would we know which way should we go?" Erin then asked as she walked up to the front of her team.
"Already one step head!" Caleb brought out some maps, "A map of the whole island. Just use the map to guide you. If you come across some points you'll know your going the right way."
Caleb passed one map to Ingrid and another to Ryder.
"Any more questions?"
"When do-" Although before Daisy could finish Caleb had already answered.
"Start now!"
"Lets go team!" Ryder already began sprinting forward, taking a lead. He was heading towards the jungle.
"He does know we need to use the map to know where we're going, right?" Cece just asked with a raised eyebrow as she glanced at the rest of the team.
"Well right now we need to catch the kid if we want the map," Gabe pointed out with a chuckle.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's kick it dudes," Stefan said as him and the rest of the team began running to catch up to Ryder.
"We aren't gonna let them win, so let's get moving. We got this guys, follow my lead and be carefully, " Howie said as he began taking the lead for his team.
"Careful? We're trying to win, which winning doesn't involve being careful. Also we can follow my lead," Balaam said as he ran past Howie and tried to take the lead.
"Well well-being involves careful. And I care for your and my well- being, also It's fine we can follow my lead," Howie said as he picked up his pace to match Balaam's.
As the two raced in the lead, Esme, Serenna, Carter, and Ingrid tagged behind to catch up to them. Gavin and Charlotte were once again in the back. They just glanced at each other as if to say 'what is my life right now?'.
Everyone was on the move. Everyone except for Ashley. The girl had brought her notebook out again and hadn't even noticed the challenge had begun.
"The teams are fully organized. My team seems lovely: Erin seems to like me and is also very insightful. Probably would be a good friend, so I'm considering the deal she offered earlier. Ryder is kind, a little bit too loud and out there, but I like him. Cece seems mysterious in my opinion, I don't have a good read on her yet. Kelvin...I think something is wrong with him. Not a bad kind of wrong, just an enlarged apple with GMOs kind of wrong. Stefan seems pretty laid back, while Gabriel obviously can provide a good laugh. I think he might be a youtuber? I might have seen one of his videos. Daisy seems pretty sweet and caring. I'm also pretty sure she's an actress? That's all for now-"
Caleb and Michigan were chatting when they noticed Ashley.
"Um? Should we tell her?" Michigan said as she glanced at the girl. Caleb placed a hand to his chin in consideration.
"Nah, lets let it play out," Caleb finally replied.
"If you say so. Who do you think is winning this one?" Michigan then asked her brother.
"Got bet on yellow, although orange still has a chance," Caleb answered.
Meanwhile, Erin was walking back to the spot on the beach Ashley was. She had noticed she hadn't moved. She stood right in front of Ashley, but Ashley ignored her and just turned away.
"I see your notebook is a bigger problem then expected. It's acting as an unnecessary complication in the challenge," Erin said, finally speaking up.
Ashley looked again once again with surprised eyes, "Huh-I'm paying attention."
"Paying attention to your writing. Everyone left and the challenge already has begun. We need to move now if we want to catch up," Erin explained to her.
Ashley looked worried as she realized how much she missed, as she placed a hand to her head, "Oh-gosh, I'm so sorry!"
"Keep the sorry for later, c'mon," Erin said as she began leading her away from the beach area.
Confessionals
✍Ashley- "What would I do without Erin? I just met her and she is already being such a great friend. I mean she does seem smart so she could just be using me so I take up that alliance offer, but then again she still seems pretty genuine. I honestly feel like an idiot though..my writing is literally getting me in trouble"
**Static**
📺Erin- "So I am kind of helping Ashley in the hopes she'll cooperate with me in an alliance. But it's a game, can you blame me?"
End
The Yellow Team💛
The yellow team were now in the jungle, but they had stopped in a small opening area.
"Okay, so I think it's clear we need a team leader," Howie said as he sat to catch his breath on a rock. "I was thinking of appointing myself."
"And who said we wanted you as a leader?" Balaam just remarked, raising his eyebrow.
"I was valedictorian at my high school, plus don't I just look like leadership material," Howie stated as he stood up and spun around. To that everyone just murmured, while some people nodded.
"You look like boyfriend material-" Esme coughed quietly. She then said, "I wouldn't mind taking up the leadership role. I am a teacher after all, so I make smart decisions."
"We get it you guys have brain cells, so do we," Balaam stated in response, "I worked in the military. So I know a thing or two about discipline. So compared to a boy scout and teacher, I think I know a lot more."
"Valedictorian, not boy scout," Howie said looking slightly bothered by the statement, "Why don't we just vote for a leader."
"Vote?! We have a challenge on our hands, we don't have time for all of this!" Ingrid snapped as she was just leaning on a tree. "I'll take the lead."
"That's a definite nope."
"Shut up!"
"You shut up!"
"Make me shut up"
"Shut isn't a nice word."
"We aren't in kindergarten."
"Why am I here?"
"Who wood be the leader? Get it cause were in the jungles and the trees are made of wood-"
"Y'all are stupid."
Everyone had begun talking all at the same time, except for Charlotte who just looked at her team with concern.
Confessionals
Charlotte- "Why was I, the one quiet girl placed on a team with extroverts, and with big personalities that can practically crack open my tiny body. Although everyone is fighting and not getting along, so that's perfect for me. Some cracks in the team will form and I will squeeze into those cracks, and cause chaos. For now I'll play up my shyness and act all innocent"
End
The arguing continued with Balaam and Howie arguing, Ingrid and Esme having a dispute, and Carter cracking jokes in Gavin's face to his dismay.
"Okay shut your mouths! We are getting nowhere, with all this. This is how it's gonna be, I'm gonna be the leader, end of story," Serenna said, snapping her finger when she said 'end of story' for emphasis. To that everyone frowned, but no one decided to argue.
"Not gonna lie I know nothing about nature or any of this challenge stuff, so Howie will be my second in command," Serenna then added.
To this Howie smirked at Balaam, as he walked up to stand by Serenna. Balaam just rolled his eyes.
Confessionals
💅Serenna- "Eey! Look at me dad and mom, runnin my own team over here. Dang, I'm doing good out here and I look good while doing it"
**Static**
😈Balaam- "I think I was reminded why I might not like this team"
End
"Okay lets move out," Serenna then said as she began leading the team through the trees as she now held the map.
The Orange Team
Ryder was still running, and his team was sprinting to catch up to him.
"This kid is fast!" Gabe remarked as he struggled to keep up with the group. "He needs to give me whatever he is drinking."
"What he needs to give us is the map," Cece pointed out, "Also where is Ashley and Erin?"
"It seems they are not here," Kelvin answered her.
"No kidding," Cece replied sarcastically. Ryder finally seemed to stop. Which the group stopped as they caught up to him.
"Oh yeah! That was a good run, wasn't it guys?" Ryder said as he turned to his teammates.
"My legs might fall off," Daisy just said as she just fell to the ground.
"I think you killed her. Death count: 1. Who's next," Gabe joked with a smile.
"She'll be fine. What doesn't kill ya, makes you stronger, am I right?!" Ryder just said as he was walking around a sign that was in the ground.
"That is false. A person may receive a severe injury and not be killed, but it is unlikely they will be made stronger from the damage to their body," Kelvin just informed them. Ryder gave him a 'bruh?' Look.
"That's enough buddy, it's just a saying. It's not literal, dude," Stefan said as he put a hand on Kelvin's shoulder. Stefan then walked over to look at the sign.
The sign said: Obstacle 1. Fire Making- Making fire is important in the outdoors. To complete this make fire, which you should carry this fire all the way to the finish without it going off. Good luck.
"Okay, cool! So, anyone know how to make fire?" Ryder asked the team.
Kelvin walked over carrying Daisy, while Gabe just shook his head, and Cece shrugged. "I'll do it," Stefan offered as he picked up some twigs. He began rubbing them together.
A few moments later the yellow team had made it over to the same area, with Serenna and Howie in the lead of the group. "I see the other team is already here, we better pick it up," Serenna said looking back at her team members who were trailing behind her.
They rushed over to read the post. "Make fire? I guess we better get fired up for this task," Carter smirked, which the whole team just shook their head at his joke.
"C'mon? Can y'all just give me some credit here?" Carter asked with his hand out.
"Carter shut it, go get some wood with Ingrid and Gavin. Balaam, Esme, and Howie work on the fire. Shy girl.." Serenna tapped her finger to her lips as she thought what to make her do, "..You just watch the other team's progress"
Charlotte seemed to want to say something, but instead she only sighed and nodded in response to the command.
Confessionals
Charlotte- "Of course as usually..I'm deemed useless..on the bright side, at least they're underestimating me for now.."
**Static**
😜Carter- "These people really don't appreciate the gift of comedy I grant them. In these tense situations, I provide them with light jokes that brighten the moment. So they want a fire? I am a fire! I literally lighten up the mood and my jokes are fire! Get it?!"
End
On the orange team, their fire had already started. "Okay boys, looks like we're in business," Stefan smirked as he watched a small flame spark and wave in the wind.
"Okay let's get some wood so we can keep it going the whole time," Ryder said as he passed the map to Kelvin, and went off to get wood. Daisy, who had recovered, decided to follow and so did Gabe.
Cece on the other hand decided to sneak off, as she headed away from the group. Both team's flames were growing larger as they added more wood.
Charlotte noticed Kelvin was by his team's fire by himself as the rest of the team had rushed to get more wood.
"Aren't you gonna help your team with the wood?" Charlotte decided to speak up.
"They gave me the task of watching the fire," Kelvin answered almost robotically.
"Oh.." Charlotte said, as she then turned away. Although she then turned and noticed the map in Kelvin's hand. To this she tilted her head, and had an idea.
"You know..you could help with the fire still in a small way. You could use the map to feed the flames. It's large enough, it should keep the fire going," Charlotte said, voicing it as if it was an innocent suggestion.
Kelvin glanced at the map, then to Charlotte, then to the fire, then back at Charlotte.
"Isn't the map a vital piece of info for my team?" Kelvin then asked.
"It..would help your team, trust me..." Charlotte just answered.
Kelvin seemed to process this for a moment. He then dropped the map into the fire, "Okay, thank you Charlotte for the assistance."
"Your welcome.." Charlotte smirked as the shy girl watched the map burn away in the fire.
Meanwhile, Ashley and Erin were still strolling through the jungle. They were searching for their team. "You sure they went this way?" Ashley asked as she followed Erin through a bush.
"78% positive," Erin replied to her.
"And the other 22%?" Ashely asked nervously.
"The other 22% is we're most likely lost," Erin answered casually as it wasn't much of a worry.
Ashley just looked at Erin concerned. "Ease your nerves, It doesn't matter if we are lost. As long as we reach the camp grounds and meet our teammates there then we should be fine," Erin assured her.
"And if we don't?" Ashley then asked her.
"Then most likely we're voted off," Erin then answered as she frowned.
After that they walked in silence, the only noticeable sound was the rustling of leaves and calls of birds. Then Ashley said, "You said that your alliance offering is still open, correct?"
"That is accurate," Erin replied as a small smile came upon her face.
"Okay I'm in-ah!" At that very moment a snake had come slithering out of the bushes.
Ashley had jumped behind Erin, as Erin just nonchalantly picked up a nearby stick.
The snake wasn't too large, but rather a medium size. It was green in color and had some black spots covering it's skin.
"We encountered a snake! I was scared for my life, no, our lives! I've heard stories about what snakes do to their enemies! I really didn't want to be strangled, bitten, or eaten-" Ashley was frantically writing in her notebook.
The snake eyed them, and was sticking it's tongue out, only the swinging of Erin's stick keeping it at bay.
The snake seemed ready to pounce, when a foot smashed it's head. The girls were confused and looked up to see who had helped them. Cece.
"Hello ladies," Cece said as she rubbed her foot down more on the snake's head as if it was nothing.
"It can bite you, you-" Ashley began.
Although Cece just took out a knife, which she used to cut the snake in half. She then bared down on the snake's head until she was sure it wouldn't be a threat to them. "Can't bite me anymore can it. Seems pretty dead," Cece said as she skipped off the snake.
"Thanks, you practically saved us the worry of injury. Do you know where the team is?" Erin then asked her as she dropped the stick.
"I do," Cece answered as she leaned against a tree.
"Can you tell us where they are?" Ashley then asked her.
"I could," Cece replied, a smirk was now on her face. After that statement, Ashley looked to Erin with a 'what does that mean?' face.
Erin just analyzed Cece's posture and tone of voice before saying, "But I assume you won't."
"You're a smart one, that's correct," Cece giggled, "I won't without certain things being done first. I want in, in that alliance of yours."
"What? But how do we even know if we can trust you..no offense..we hardly know you..so how can we just add you.." Ashley then said to her.
"Well you have to now. Cause I can do 2 things now. 1. I can tell everyone about your alliance and you'll be the first two out. Or 2. They'll probably vote you guys for getting lost in the first place. That's being a liability to the team, so pick your poison. Or of course you can just let me join your alliance," Cece explained.
Confessionals
🃏Cece- "I know, I know. That was a harsh way to go about it. But who cares, they're in checkmate. I either leave this conversation with 2 new alliance members or 2 new targets. A win-win if you ask me."
End
Erin seemed to be thinking out possible outcomes. She then turned to face Cece, "And if we let you in you'll be loyal?"
"Duh. What's the point of joining you guys if I wasn't gonna be loyal," Cece answered.
"Fine, she's in," Erin answered.
"She's in?" Ashley repeated with confusion.
"I'm in!" Cece said with excitement, "I knew you ladies would pull through, c'mon girls we have a challenge to win! Follow me, I think I know a shortcut."
Meanwhile, both teams had already had their fire going and were heading to the next post. The yellow team had their fire on a stick held by Howie, while the orange team had put their fire in a bowl-shaped rock with leaves in it.
Orange Team
"Hey by the way, have you guys seen the map?" Daisy asked her teammates. They were walking at an average pace to get to the next post.
"Nope," Stefan said as he was holding their fire in the small bowl-shaped rock.
"Then how do we even know where we're going?" Gabe asked as he scratched his head.
"I think we don't," Daisy admitted as they had been walking with no real source of direction.
"Oh the map is gone," Kelvin said suddenly.
"Gone where?" Daisy asked him as the group began to slow down.
"I threw it in the fire. You guys needed assistance, so I used the map as paper to feed the flames. Report: you are welcome," Kelvin told them. To this everyone stopped walking and stared at Kelvin.
"You did what?!" Daisy exclaimed, putting her hand to her head.
"You better be kidding!" Ryder snapped as he began stomping over to Kelvin.
Luckily Gabe got in front of him. "Okay, I get it! We lost 2 or.." Gabe glanced around just now noticing Cece wasn't there, "..3 of our teammates. We also lost a valuable piece of information. But let's not lose our sanity and unity! We can still win this!"
"He got rid of our map though?!" Ryder protested, giving Kelvin a glare.
"I was told it was a good idea," Kelvin explained, seeming confused by their reactions.
"If someone said it was a good idea to slap you, could I do it," Ryder just shot back.
"Guys fighting isn't in the answer. Let's be responsible.." Gabe said as he pulled his Nintendo switch out, "...and settle this with a game of Smash Bros! I call Link!"
Daisy hesitantly placed a hand on Ryder's shoulder to calm him, "True, but Gabe is right. ("Oh ya! Lets play!") About the fighting part that is ("Darn it."). If anything we have to stick together now to solve this."
"What is there to solve though?!" Ryder said crossing his arms as he began trudging forward, "We lost the map! We lost our teammates! And I hate losing!"
"Well we won't lose if we get to the campsite. Trust me dude, we still have a crack at this bro," Stefan assured Ryder in his comforting and chill tone. Even though Ryder still seemed frustrated, that did seem to ease him by a little bit.
"Fine, lets go then..even though we don't know where we're going," Ryder said as he once again took the lead in the front.
Confessionals
🏃 ️Ryder- "As an athlete I hate losing! I am pretty competitive, so I clearly love winning! Of course I'm a good sport, so as long as I lose fairly I'm all good. But being sabotaged by a teammate, you gotta be kidding me?! Imagining us losing the first challenge is just...it just puts us at a bad start already. So if we lose, then I definitely will have to see which teammate is taking the blame."
**Static**
✌Stefan- "Ya we're not doing so hot, bruh. I think Kelvin messed us up badly, but to be fair I think the dude is getting a bad rep. I like him, he's smart and he's a chill guy. He just needs someone to guide him. I can be that somebody, man"

Yellow Team💛
The yellow team was actually making some good progress through the jungle. "So where do you suppose the cabins would be," Serenna was asking Howie, showing him the map.
"Well I'm not sure. I think if we run into another post then we'll know we're going the right way," Howie answered as he quickly scanned the map with his eyes, while also holding their source of fire on a stick, "But I suppose it would be in the opening just past that river section."
"That river section? Uh...that means more walkkkkkinnng," Serenna groaned.
Confessionals
💅Serenna- "Don't get me wrong, I'm not lazy. I didn't end up looking like this by being lazy. It's just I didn't come here just so I can walk around the island like a tourist. I came here so I can vote out some sleazy-balls and get the cacha-ching. I didn't come to be the tourist, I came to be the colonist. This is my colony now."

As always Charlotte was trailing to the back of the group with Gavin. Ingrid, Esme, Balaam, and Carter were in the middle all supporting a huge log. The log apparently was for the fire so they could keep it going, even though it was an unnecessary amount. ("Trust me the bigger the better," Ingrid had assured her team).
Gavin was muttering to himself as he was walking. Charlotte glanced at him confused at his muttering.
"I know you probably think I'm weird.." Gavin said before she could even say anything.
Charlotte thought 'yes', but didn't say anything.
Although he answered for her, "Yes, you probably do. I don't blame you... It's weird how we both end up in the back of the crowd...I'm guessing you're not the type to fit in either."
To this Charlotte shook her head, "I guess not.."
"I don't worry I probably fit in less than you.." Gavin told her with a nod.
Charlotte seemed confused on how to respond to that. Finally she just said, "Why are you so sad..."
"Well..I guess because I have experienced real life. Yes we all live in real life, but some of us have experienced it more real than others. Some of us get the joys of life, while others like me are only left with the pains and sorrows life brings. So I've been through a lot..and yet I feel like less. I feel empty.." Gavin just looked down after his small monologue.
Charlotte tilted her head as she actually could relate to that, "Well what went wrong?"
"Well what went wrong is personal..what I can say though is in life either something is wrong with me or something is wrong with the world. And even though this world is a sucky place, I doubt it went completely wrong..so something is definitely wrong with me.." Gavin replied now crossing his arms around himself protectively.
"No..I don't think anything is wrong with you.." Charlotte quietly assured him.
"You wouldn't know"
"I do know. I know how it feels, but sometimes it's the world that is wrong.."
"Oh really?"
"Really," Charlotte looked at him with a slight smile.
Confessionals
😭Gavin- "She's not a normal girl. Normal girls usually call me a goth and say I bring 'bad vibes'. She's seems somewhat nice, but definitely not innocent. I can tell she isn't innocent..something is off about her.."
**Static**
Charlotte- "I never met a guy like Gavin. I mean he's no Chris Hemsworth, but there is something about him I find...kind of cute?"
End
"I don't mean to interrupt your pity party. Except I do mean to do that, so I'm just gonna insert myself if you don't mind," Balaam suddenly had made his way to stand in between the two of them.
Both of them glanced at him awkwardly. They then stayed silent.
After Balaam got the cue they weren't going to continue their conversation he said keeping his voice to a whisper, "So I actually wanted to talk with you two."
"I doubt it. We're the least interesting people on the team.." Gavin just replied looking skeptical.
"You're probably right. Which is why I wanted to talk to you guys," Balaam put on his signature smirk, "So as I see it, you guys are the obvious weak links of the team. If we lose, one of you two are definitely gonna be out of here."
"Is that supposed to make us feel good?" Charlotte muttered as she frowned hearing this.
"No, it probably makes you feel terrible," Balaam stated simply. "Well it makes sense. It's logical for the first vote to simply vote off who ever appears to look the weakest."
"..so you just came to tell us we're gonna be going home if we lose this challenge? Appreciate the kindness" Gavin said sarcastically, "Although I'm not shocked..."
"That is where I step in. See right now, Serenna is close with Howie, that makes them a duo. I assume there is a chance Esme could get close with Carter, so that's theoretically another duo. Then Ingrid is a loner type for what I see. As you see going by the numbers, if us 3 team up we have the majority since a 3-2-2-1 division works in our favor. Not to mention I can stick up for you guys," Balaam explained.
"I see.." Charlotte nodded, "Since when did you get so smart.."
"I was in the military. Strategic warfare planning is kind of my thing," Balaam shrugged and smirked. "So I need your answers."
"I'm in," Charlotte decided as she worked the numbers on her fingers.
Gavin looked at Charlotte unsure, which she just nodded her head to encourage him. "Well...I don't know why you want to help me, but...I might as well...I'm in.." Gavin complied.
"Good. Just remember you need me. Without me your both dead in this game," Balaam smirked as he put a hand on both of their shoulders, "I'm technically saving you guys."
Confessionals
😈Balaam- "And that is how it works boys and girls. Like I said, if they think they need me to survive, they'll do what I say. Do I need them? Not really. Do they need me? Probably not, but they don't know that. What I have now is some mindless soldiers with their guns loaded and I think we're ready to shoot down some targets. That's how a war begins"

I do have some questions if your interested:
1. Who is your favorite contestant(s)?
2. Which team is your favorite so far?
3. Who do you think is going home first?
And that's all for now! There is more to come, but I didn't want it to be way too long. I hope you enjoyed reading though!
