Episode 4, Part 2 "I wanna watch this team burn. And I might be the little match that can set off the fire.."
**Commercial Break Over**
Sophisticated Salamanders Campgrounds(Night 10)
From winning the obstacles course reward, the Salamanders had won a vivacious movie night with the movie of their choice.
After 4 suggestions
"Rocky!" Ryder suggested. "What about Hairspray?" Daisy then asked. "Hmm, I rather watch The Matrix," Cece admitted. "Okay, but are we really gonna pretend like Detective Pikachu isn't a real option here," Gabe added.
In the end they had went with
Enola Holmes
Confessionals
😊Daisy- "Winning the reward challenge and winning a movie is just spectacular! Being here I've missed movies and other fun things, so it's great to have something to just stop and enjoy!"
**Static**
👽Kelvin- "A movie by definition is: a story or event recorded by a camera as a set of moving images and shown in a theater or on television; a motion picture. I have never seen a movie before, so this is a first time experience."
**Static**
🃏Cece- "I would have prefered The Matrix, but I'll take Enola Holmes. We almost went with watching All The Boys I've Loved Before because Daisy found it romantic. I'm adding that to my list of 'All The Movies I've Hated Before.' I haven't seen it, but I've never liked rom-coms and I won't start now."
End
The Salamanders did get some snacks, being allowed one item of their choice.
Gabe got a slushie, which he sipped contently. Ryder got a bag of popcorn, which he shared with Daisy. Daisy had gotten a chocolate bar for herself. Stefan got himself a bag of chips. Cece had decided on a small soda. Lastly, Kelvin just had ordered a hot dog.
As the movie started up, everyone quietly payed attention, but every once and a while Kelvin, Gabe, or Ryder would add in a comment.
Stefan had just remained silent as did Cece, who both just gave their full attention to the movie.
Daisy had soon come to lay her head on Ryder's shoulder as the movie went on.
Everyone would laugh at the jokes(except Kelvin and Cece depending on the joke), get quiet during more serious moments, and coo at the heart-warming scenes.
As the movie came to an end, the team all clapped to the mystery film's satisfying conclusion.
"Welp, I can officially say that was a fair usage of 2 hours and 3 minutes of my life. That mystery movie didn't disappoint," Gabe said as he got up and stretched. "Although the real mystery is why we didn't watch Detective Pikachu if we were gonna watch a mystery film. Missed opportunity guys!"
"We already told you, Kelvin doesn't even know what a Pikachu is, much less a pokemon, and it would be too hard to explain," Stefan reasoned.
"For you. As a gamer, explaining pokemon is like explaining a cake recipe," Gabe shrugged with a smile. "Sweet and simple."
"So a Pokemon is a cake?" Kelvin questioned tilting his head.
"Okay, your coming we me. We're getting you caught up," Gabe just said as he tugged at Kelvin's arm.
Kelvin just obliged, getting up to let Gabe lead him
"I'll come too," Stefan said as he got up to follow them.
Cece turned as she saw she was now left with Ryder and Daisy. The two of them were now just laying down, gazing at the stars, pointing out different things in the sky. The Street-Smart Card Player observed for a moment, then smirked as she had exactly the right cards to play.
"I feel bad for you guys," Cece then said once she was sure Stefan was gone and out of hearing range.
"Bad for what?" Ryder turned his head as did Daisy.
"It's just unfortunate, really," Cece went on. "Although understandable."
"Cece, what are you talking about?" Daisy asked as her face now expressed some concern.
"I shouldn't say.." Cece turned her head to not let them see her face. She was smirking.
"Cece, tell us. Please," Daisy just pleaded, she seemed both curious and nervous.
"Well..you guys are now targets. I thought that much was obvious," Cece now looked the two of them in the eyes.
"Targets? By who?" Daisy pressed on.
"Is it that hard to guess," Cece gestured in the general direction the other 3 boys had gone. "They're scared of you guys being a power duo."
"That couldn't be true," Ryder denied it as he had a face as if to say 'You're lying.' "They wouldn't."
"Would they?" Cece asked doubtful, as she gave them a look of worry. "It's your call."
Confessionals
🃏Cece- "Planting seeds of doubt on both sides. And if I water those seeds, they become big, blooming stalks of conflict. This is gonna be interesting."
**Static**
🏃Ryder- "The guys would never do that to me? Would they? I mean I have been hanging out with Daisy more, but it's only been for a day?... Doesn't matter! I have faith in them."
End
"How would you know that," Ryder then demanded.
"Well they told me of course," Cece shrugged, "how else would I know."
"They wouldn't," Ryder denied, now shaking his head.
"Why wouldn't they?" Cece asked him, resting on her side as she waited for an answer.
Ryder first turned to Daisy, who actually looked nervous, then looked back at Cece.
"I'm waiting. Why wouldn't they," Cece just said once again.
"I..don't know! They just won't!" Ryder finally answered, not wanting to admit that they were his friends and alliance. Cece doesn't need to know that information. Or at least have confirmation on it.
"Hmm, okay believe what you like," Cece answered softly as she got up, turning to leave.
Once she was gone, Daisy and Ryder got up as well.
"What if she was telling the truth, Ryder?" Daisy asked him as the two were now walking in the direction the Stefan, Gabe, and Kelvin went.
"You really think the others would do that?" Ryder just responded, as he had begun walking faster.
"Slow down Ryder, we have to think about this," Daisy held his arm to stop him.
"But we need to get to the guys! We need to get to the bottom of this! I don't want us to go!" Ryder exclaimed, finally revealing his anxiousness.
Daisy motioned for him to take a deep breath, which he did. She then made him release. Daisy then gave him a quick kiss to soothe him.
"Better?" Daisy asked, which he nodded. "Remember, we can win the challenge. So we don't have to worry about that until the elimination we land up on. If it is true though..then we probably have to work with someone else."
Ryder nodded as he considered that.
"We'd have to work with Cece. It'll be 3 v 3," Ryder stated.
"IF," Daisy emphasized. "We can't jump to conclusions yet."
"But we can jump to action!" Ryder replied as he began running again, leading Daisy.
The two of them came to stop behind a bush, where they could overhear Gabe, Stefan, and Kelvin talking.
"...Okay Kelvin, I don't know what happened in your childhood, but I know what clearly didn't. Cause your lack of media knowledge is reaching sin level, where you're basically sinning at this point. But don't worry, saving grace has come in the form of a friendly gamer! We need to get you caught up on Pokemon, Mario, basically everything!" Gabe exclaimed as he had put his arm around Kelvin. "Luckily, I'm here all day! So what do you want to know first buddy?"
"I would like to know what would serve my interest," Kelvin answered.
"Well nothing serves your interest better than the good ol' Mario franchise," Gabe smiled as he cleared his throat to explain.
From behind the bush, Ryder turned to Daisy.
"See, the Mario franchise. Nothing to worry about," Ryder just whispered to her.
"Before you start, do you guys remember the conversation from earlier," Stefan then said, as he was just leaning back against a tree. "You know, about the couple thing. I've been thinking about it."
"Oh right that," Gabe chuckled awkwardly at the reminder of that conversation. "What about it?"
"Well...they might have to go eventually. They kind of are a walking final 2," Stefan admitted his current thoughts.
"Okay, but does eventually mean now soon or soon to be now," Gabe then questioned. "Or if we're being hopeful it could mean never."
From behind the bush, Daisy now turned to stare at Ryder.
"Okaaaay, not Mario, something to worry about," Ryder muttered now as he now focused intently on their conversation.
"Not now, bruh. If the 6 of us make the merge we'll stick together, but eventually..we'd need to," Stefan replied after a moment of thought. "I know you want to be hopeful that we can keep them, I want to as well, bro, but like it wouldn't work."
Confessionals
✌Stefan- "I don't want to rush things, bruh. So I don't plan on voting Daisy or Ryder out anytime soon, but at the same time I don't plan on aiming on just getting 3rd any time soon. Eventually we're gonna have to split them up, dog."
**Static**
😊Daisy- "So Cece wasn't lying?!" Daisy looked panicked. "I don't understand, we have the alliance Daisy and the Bros, yet they're still willing to vote us off?!"
End
"So for now we keep it together," Stefan instructed as he sat down on the roots of the tree.
"Or rather keep them together," Gabe coined in as he then turned back to face Kelvin. "And now to keep you up to date with ins and the outs of modern trends."
With Gabe beginning his lecture on Mario, Daisy and Ryder both slowly crept away from the area.
The two stopped once they were back by the cabins.
"I can't-" Ryder was about to yell, but Daisy concealed his mouth
"Ryder, it's okay," Daisy assured him as she placed her hand in his.
"But it isn't!" Ryder argued, now looking completely infuriated. "I would never do that to them! And you would obviously never do that to them! Yet they're doing it to us!"
"Ryder, look at me," Daisy just said as she titled his face to have his eyes level with her own. "We can't get angry. It isn't gonna fix this."
Ryder just stared at her, his enraged glare slowly returning back to his more normal look.
"You're right.." Ryder agreed, "Sorry."
"No, it's okay to be mad, it's not like i'm happy," Daisy groaned. "Just getting mad doesn't help."
"Your right. We'll figure it out," Ryder then said as he smiled daringly. "I know we will."
Daisy just returned his smile, "I believe you."
Confessionals
🏃Ryder- "This game is hard cause things change on the dime. But one thing that stays the same is: Me never giving up! They're scared...but since they're messing with me, they should be!"
**Static**
😊Daisy- "So I trust Ryder the most out of everyone. I'm still nervous, but I think we can get through this! Never underestimate a power couple!"
End
The Ambitious Alligators 🐊, Girls Cabin (Day 11)
As the scene had switched, the camera just showed Charlotte in her bed as she looked out the window of the girl's cabin.
So far the cabin was occupied by only her and Esme, who was busy strumming on her guitar.
Charlotte was just looking out the window thinking, but it was hard to focus as the song from Esme's guitar ringed in her ear.
"Oh um, Esme.." Charlotte said, turning to her. "Could you do that somewhere else?"
Esme stopped playing for a moment to look at Charlotte. "Sorry Charlotte, I'm just working on the song I wrote for Howie. The one I played for you."
"Oh right," Charlotte recalled with a nod.
"I better make sure it's perfect for when I play it," Esme stated. "The sooner the better. Wait too long and the spark of romance goes out."
Confessionals
🎸Esme- "I have been working on this song for a while now. Which makes sense since I have been working on getting Howie for a while, which clearly hasn't been working. But nothing is better to convey a message, especially love, than song~"
**Static**
Charlotte- "Spark of romance goes out...Spark goes out...oh right, the figurative fire I was gonna create. Time to make it much more literal. I guess I'll start with Esme as a test run."
End
"Hey um Esme, about me raising my hand yesterday.." Charlotte began in her soft voice.
"Oh don't worry about it, that was only a game after all," Esme smiled at her.
"I'm glad you understand.." Charlotte then said. "It was a game for me at least."
Esme was about to keep playing, until she picked up on a certain word. "At least?" Esme questioned as she stared at Charlotte once again.
"Well um...Ingrid doesn't think so highly of you. She thinks you're crazy.." Charlotte explained as she now wore a frown.
"How am I crazy?" Esme now placed her guitar to the side, leaning it against her bed.
"I don't know..she thinks your stupid for ever thinking you'd get with Howie," Charlotte clarified as she nervously scratched her head.
Esme sprung out of her bed at that.
"It is not crazy! It can and will happen!" Esme shouted, balling up her fist.
"Oh I believe you..I'm just the messenger," Charlotte whisphered.
"Why would she ever say things like that? It's not her relationship! She doesn't have to be such a hater!" Esme complained as she now tapped her foot on the ground.
Charlotte shrugged innocently, although she turned to stare at the camera with a slight smirk.
Confessionals
Charlotte- "Time to spin Howie's little game into mine," Charlotte's cute little face somehow managed to become a wicked grin. "The fire has started."
End
**Montage**
A montage began, showing Charlotte in different areas with different people, spreading her different rumors.
"..And if you think about it, they might want to vote for you again. They really want you out.." Charlotte muttered as she was sitting on a tree branch with Carter, referring to Balaam and Esme.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you are his number one target.." Charlotte whispered to Howie as she sat in the cafe with him, talking about Balaam.
"..and if you don't strike first, they'll probably get you out..." Charlotte commented sounding concerned as she sat in front of the girls cabin with Ingrid, talking about Balaam and Carter.
"That's why we need to stick together. I'm scared it might be me and you next. So we gotta throw Ingrid under the bus hard," Charlotte voiced her worries to Balaam as the two of them stood by the beach.
The montage showed all the people Charlotte was talking to considering what she was saying, all saying "I need to think about that."
Then it showed all 5 moments ending with her walking away saying, "..just think about it, okay?"
Confessionals
Charlotte- "Just think about it, all the chaos caused by little ol' me. I'm too good at being bad..."
End
As the montage came to a conclusion, the next scene showed Howie who was in the cafe still thinking.
"If Balaam goes next then.." He was talking quietly to himself as he was imagining scenarios in his head.
The doors to the cafe then opened, which Cece and Kelvin walked in, followed by Carter.
Cece and Kelvin just went to sit at their designated team table, while Carter went to sit across from Howie.
"Howie! I have a question for you?" Carter said as he slammed his hand on the table.
Howie sighed as his thoughts were interrupted, but replied, "What is it? Also don't hit your hand on the table like that. It can be a safety hazard"
"Okay, I know you said hold off on the puns, but what about jokes?" Carter questioned.
"Your jokes are worse than your puns," Cece spoke up from the other table.
"Hey! You never even heard my joke," Carter yelled as he gave her a defensive look.
"Well, from deduction and going off of the basis of former experience with your comical dialogue it has been shown that on most occasions your joke is rendered as unfunny despite your dedication to make it contrary to that said fact," Kelvin explained.
Carter just blinked, "I kind of checked out when you said deduction."
"Carter, I'd listen to her and say no to the jokes," Howie just replied finally.
Carter frowned at Cece, who just simply shrugged.
"Okay, another thing," Carter then said. "Are you and Esme like a...you know...a thing?"
"A thing?" Howie repeated confused.
"Howie is a person, and people are usually not considered things," Kelvin just inputted.
"Not that nano-dictionary," Cece dismissed. "Like a thing. A couple."
"Ohhh! What? Why would you ask that?" Howie then titled his head now looking even more confused. "Obviously not."
"Well she likes you though," Carter mumbled sounding slightly annoyed.
"Esme does not like me," Howie shook his head, still having the same confused look.
"It's obvious, the flirting, the winking, the way she talks about you," Carter stated.
"It really is obvious," Cece then added. "I can even see it from the other team."
"It is very much apparent," Kelvin agreed, nodding his head.
Howie then stopped to think back to his interactions with Esme, and slowly but surely things began to click. Howie had a face of realization as the pieces came together.
"...Oh gosh, your right," Howie realized as he put a hand to his face. "She does like me. Oh darn it."
"So you don't like her?" Carter then questioned.
"I- well um, she's a friend," Howie answered simply.
"That's tough, cause that's not how she sees it. Seems like you have a tough road ahead of you," Cece just stated, giving him a face of pity.
Confessionals
Howie- "I didn't think I could be that oblivious, but I accidentally was. Now what? I don't like Esme like that...but I don't want to hurt her."
End
The Challenge (Day 12)
The teams both gathered in the same location where the reward challenge had been, although all the obstacles had been removed and cleared from the terrain.
The area also was still a bit wet, but mostly had dried since the rain.
"Okay! Are you guys ready!" Caleb called as he was now hosting the challenge this time.
"Yes sir!" Carter was the loudest to respond.
Caleb waited for Carter to add in punchline or joke, but none came.
"Huh," He just said as he continued. "Anyways, today's challenge is capture the flag. Although not the traditional game. It's the version where everyone individually has a flag attached to their pants or shirt. The goal is the get the flag of one of the opposing team members. Once you steal it, it's yours and they are out. The team that gets out all of the other team first wins, while the other team loses. Got it?"
Both teams gestured as they understood and were ready to begin.
"Okay, so the Salamanders get blue flags," Caleb stated as he gestured to a box of blue flags at his left foot. He then pointed at a box of green flags near his right foot, "Alligators get green. Grab a flag and we can soon begin."
Everyone went up grabbing a flag.
"Okay, when I blow the airhorn you may run into the forest. You guys are staying within a large restricted range, which is a huge square. If you go to the edge of the square you'll see yellow tape. If you pass that tape, then you're out. Understood?" Caleb added in the last rule.
"Got it!" "Yup!" "Great!" Caleb received a mixture of replies.
"One last thing, to even the numbers, someone from the Alligators needs to sit out. It can't be Charlotte," Caleb then explained.
Serenna was the first to raise her hand, looking around at her teammates to make sure no one else did.
"Serenna, you'll sit out of the challenge," Caleb nodded as he then gestured to her to take a seat at one of the spectating chairs. Serenna did so, having a seat and crossing one leg over the other.
"I believe that is all important rules out of the way. Which means we begin..." Caleb looked at his wrist where a watch supposedly was. "Now!" Caleb then blew the air horn.
At that, everyone took off running, either going solo or pairing off with someone. It looked like a scene at a wild recess with people running in all different directions.
People just bolted down different pathways, heading into the dense forest.
Esme and Carter, who had ended up together, were now both stopping by a wide-reaching tree.
"Woo...that was a run," Carter stated, as he fell back onto his butt, still catching his breath.
"I don't even know why we ran that fast. We needed to save our energy," Esme then stated as she leaned up against the tree.
"Energy or not, as long as we can run, it will be good!" Carter just replied.
Esme stared at him blankly, "That isn't how it works, Carter. You can't run without energy."
Carter realized how that sounded, and facepalmed. "Oh right...Why can't I ever say the right things?"
"Carter, don't say that," Esme told him as she walked over to place a hand on his head. "It's okay, Carter. You may not say the right things, but you say the good things. The funny things."
"Apparently I don't since I'm so annoying," Carter put quotations around "annoying", saying it in a voice that resembled Balaam's.
"Carter, you're not annoying," Esme laughed at the thought. "I know some people think so, but I don't. I never did. You're hilarious!"
Carter stared at her, as a smile soon spreaded upon his face. "You are usually the one that laughs at my jokes."
"And I will continue to laugh at your jokes," Esme promised as she booped his nose. "Tú eres muy cómico, chico."
Confessionals
😜Carter- "Honesty, hearing that from Esme was all I needed! If Esme thinks I'm funny, that's good enough for me! I'm not changing forest(for the rest) of them! I'll keep being me, annoying parts and all, haha! I'm glad Esme thinks that about me...she's a nice and pretty girl."
End
"Thanks Esme, that's all I needed to hear," Carter smiled at her.
"You-" Esme began but their moment was interrupted by the sound of someone else.
"And that was all I needed to get your flag," Cece was shown standing behind a bush that was nearby them. In her hand, she was holding Carter's flag.
Carter looked down to his waist in surprise, now seeing nothing attached to his pants. "Hey?! How do you do that?!"
"It's called a hustle, takes finesse," Cece shrugged with a smirk. "But in simpler terms: you were talking and easily distracted, so I crept and made my move."
"Are you kidding me?! We were having a moment!" Esme complained.
"I was having a moment too. A moment of silently grabbing a flag. I guess you'll need a moment to process that," Cece teased as she slowly then turned to leave.
With her back turned, Esme decided to make a leap for her flag. Which she did.
Although somehow Cece had rapidly turned around as if she sensed the motion, grabbing Esme's hand by the wrist.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you," Cece warned.
Cece then attempted to grab Esme's flag, but she had quickly tilted her hips.
"And I wouldn't do that if I was you!" Esme then stated, mimicking her comment.
The two girls ended up going back and forth, reaching for the others flag while dodging the others' swipes.
"You're more skilled than I thought," Cece noted, giving Esme an impressed nod.
"A lot of people underestimate me.." Esme agreed as she had tried to swipe at Cece's flag, only for her to dodge. "But they only do once."
Esme took another swipe, this time moving her hand in a fake-out motion as she had then managed to snatch Cece's flag.
Confessionals
🎸Esme- "Luck? Where's the luck? All I see here is skill! If only Howie had seen that!"
**Static**
🃏Cece- "I give credit where it's due. Esme seems like a pretty strong competitor to me."
End
"Well, you got my flag," Cece just said as she just shrugged.
"Woo! Go Esme!" Carter ran over to give her a high-five.
"Woo!" Esme yelled as she accepted the high five and then held the flag up.
"Screaming your location, probably not the best decision," Cece then pointed out as she then disappeared back into a bush.
Esme's and Carter's cheers slowly died out as they grasped that. "Well unlike these trees, we better be leaf-ing then!" Carter then said as he began going through a path between two trees.
"Aren't you out Carter?" Esme asked as she walked beside him.
"Ya, I guess that just means I can't get anyone's flag," Carter just replied.
Although as the two of them were moving, they heard something coming in their direction.
"What's that?" Esme stated as she began to look around her.
Carter just made a nervous groan. The two of them began moving quicker, now speed walking down the path.
Although they heard the sound getting closer, and the two of them had no choice but to break into a sprint.
"See what I meant about energy!" Esme just said as she turned to Carter.
"Yup!" Carter just replied as he ran by her side.
The figure chasing them soon was revealed to be Ryder, who was hot on their trail.
"I think Ryder's chasing us," Carter notified Esme as he looked over his shoulder.
"I kind of noticed!" Esme screamed as she was trying to pick up the pace.
Although, Ryder was able to easily close the distance between them.
"You guys want to give me your flags or do you want me to get it myself!" Ryder just yelled at them.
"How about a nicer third option?" Esme shouted back in reply.
"Option 2 it is," Was Ryder's only reply as he kicked his speed into overdrive.
Before they knew it, Ryder was already running beside them.
Ryder just smiled, before grabbing Esme's flag and taking off in another direction.
Esme and Carter finally came to a halt.
"Are you kidding me?! I just stole someone's flag and I'm already out!" Esme complained.
Carter just patted her on shoulder.
Ryder meanwhile had stopped, and did a cartwheel for his success. "Woo!"
Confessionals
🏃Ryder- "You can't outrun me! Getting out is kind of your only option when you're up against the guy that could run a mile since he could smile."
End
Ryder then kept running, looking for more people from the Alligators, so he could steal their flag.
He kept running until something in a tree caught his eye.
Sunlight was reflecting off of the objects shiny surface, which made it easy to see.
Ryder paused as he tried to figure out what the thing was.
"I want it," Ryder then began climbing up the tree, heading towards the thing that allured him.
Once close enough Ryder grabbed it, finding the object to be a purple shell necklace made out of beads. It seemed to be handmade which could be known from some of the details being uneven and rough, yet it was clear someone had still put some quality effort in making it.
He just examined it, holding it out into the light. "Daisy, would like this.." He commented as he then pocketed the jewelry.
There was then the sound of a branch bending.
Ryder looked down to see Howie was trying to sneak up the tree.
When Howie noticed he was spotted, he smiled awkwardly at Ryder.
"Trying to sneak up on me," Ryder just noted as he was already getting prepared to attack.
"How about we climb down the tree first before we try anything. One of us could get hurt," Howie suggested.
"One of us," Ryder just responded as he then easily swung and landed on the branch that Howie was on. "And that one of us isn't me, pal."
That had shaken the branch, and Howie tried to rebalance, but unfortunately he couldn't adjust. So unfortunately he tumbled to the ground below, but fortunately he wasn't up super high to begin with.
Howie landed in a bush below, which he quickly tripped out of as he attempted to clamber to his feet.
Howie tried to run, but Ryder had already climbed down the tree and was already right behind him.
Confessionals
Howie- "I thought climbing a tree was scary, never stopped to think the person in the tree could be scarier. Ryder is something else."
**Static**
🏃Ryder- "The funny thing is that I even gave him the head start."
End
"Ryder, could we talk about this instead?" Howie called back to him, knowing he couldn't outrun Ryder. "Like a negotiation?"
"After I get that flag we can negotiate!" Ryder just declared.
Howie made sharp turns trying to throw Ryder off, but the athlete just adjusted and switched directions.
It wasn't long till Ryder was close enough to grab Howie's flag.
Howie was growing tired by the seconds, and Ryder was now right by his flag.
Although suddenly, lucky for Howie, someone they passed on their trail had stuck their foot out causing Ryder to fall flat on his face.
Howie noticed that he wasn't being chased anymore, and turned to see Ryder on the ground. He hesitated as he considered helping him, but as he realized this was his chance to escape, so he ultimately decided on running away.
The person that had tripped Ryder was Balaam, who now bent over to grab Ryder's flag.
Although before he could, Ryder kicked up onto his legs.
"I don't think so!" Ryder just said as he backed away from Balaam, sporting a glare. He now had a small bruise on his forehead from falling.
"Was tripping me necessary!" Ryder then demanded as he rubbed his forehead, feeling the small bruise on his head.
"Well I don't suppose you were gonna slow yourself down," Balaan responded uncaringly, though still smirking as he did usually.
Ryder didn't respond, but he now rocked back and forth like he was waiting for the right moment to react.
"You want to give me the flag or you rather me give you another bruise," Balaam stated as he cracked his knuckles.
Ryder didn't answer, instead he just leaped forward, diving at Balaam's flag.
Although Balaam managed to quickly move to the side, causing Ryder to fall towards the ground.
Ryder ended up colliding with the hard floor, causing him to get a cut on his cheek.
Balaam just then placed his foot on Ryder's back to prevent him from moving. "Arrrgh, let me go!" Ryder squirmed uncontrollably, which made it hard to hold him, but it was enough time to at least get his flag.
Ryder got free, but saw Balaam already had his flag in his hand.
"Thanks Ryder," Balaam saluted him with a smirk, before he jogged off in another direction.
Confessionals
🏃Ryder- "That Balaam guy is such a jerk! Reminds me of some of those smug hoodlums I meet out in the football and basketball fields. They're like the type of guys that think throwing the ball at your face is part of the sport. Jerks!"
**Static**
😈Balaam- "Sometimes it helps to be faster," Balaam paused and tapped his head. "Up here."
End
Meanwhile, Howie now was creeping through the forest alone after escaping Ryder.
"Why did it have to be a forest? The level of risk and danger here are pretty high.." He just muttered to himself in annoyance as he was looking around. Specifically looking for Salamanders.
He stopped to listen for sounds, which eventually he heard one.
He got behind a bush and peered through the other side, seeing Stefan, Gabe, and Kelvin by a lake.
"Found something," He whispered to himself, as he now sat down to wait for the right moment to strike.
He watched Gabe, Stefan, and Kelvin who were all just conversing as they looked down at the lake.
"Howie?!" A voice behind him called. Howie jumped at the voice, turning to see Charlotte and Ingrid crawling up behind him.
"Shhhh!" Howie just covered his mouth with one finger. "You almost gave me away."
"Well almost isn't giving you away is it," Ingrid just argued as she came to stand on one side of him.
Charlotte came to stand on the other.
"Almost meaning they could have caught me," Howie clarified.
"But they didn't."
"But they could have."
"But they didn't."
"There was a chance of it occurring."
"But they didn't."
"It may have ended up happening."
"But they didn't."
The two went back and forth for some time, eventually attracting the attention of Kelvin.
The alien-like experimentee came to then gaze down at the large bush.
"Guys, I believe this bush is talking or at least attempting some form of communication," Kelvin had now come over to the bush and was pointing at it.
Howie and Ingrid both stopped speaking as they heard that.
Charlotte facepalmed as she then glanced at Howie and Ingrid, "..You guys got us caught."
Stefan and Gabe both turned to Kelvin with looks of confusion.
"Kelvin, bushes can't talk," Stefan reminded him.
Charlotte then reached out her hand and snatched Kelvin's flag.
Kelvin was about to respond to Stefan, but he then noticed looking down that his flag was missing. He then said, "The bush has now consumed my flag."
"Okay, one crazy fantasy at a time Kel," Gabe just said as he walked over to the bush. "So which story are we running with the talking bush or the hungry one? Personal suggestion, but the talking bush is only slightly more believable."
"I can tell from your tone, you don't believe me. It's the truth though," Kelvin protested as he stared at the two of them.
Stefan just walked over, "Kelvin, there's probably people from the other team in the bush, bruh."
Howie then looked at Charlotte and Ingrid as they needed a plan. He gave them the expression of 'what do we do?'
Charlotte shrugged unsure, as she just clenched Kelvin's stolen flag in her hand. Ingrid just thought, as her eyes then lit up as if she came up with an idea.
Ingrid had then smirked as she then suddenly ran away from Howie and Charlotte.
"Where is she going?" Howie asked, as he turned to Charlotte, who shrugged unknowingly.
Howie and Charlotte considered running after her.
Howie then turned to Charlotte to say something. "But-Ah!" Gabe had just suddenly stuck his hand through the bush, startling Howie.
"What do you guys think? Sound like a person scream or a bush scream," Gabe smirked as he looked between Stefan and Kelvin. "As much as I like personification in literature, that sounded pretty human to me."
"It sounded like a person-whose-flag-is-about-to-be-yanked scream," Stefan replied.
"Nice one," Gabe fist bumped Stefan.
Howie and Charlotte both finally stood up, revealing their presence.
"Oh I see, it was people behind the bush attempting to be the bush as a way to covertly collect our flags," Kelvin nodded as head as he stared at Howie and Charlotte.
"That isn't what happened, but okay.." Charlotte mumbled.
Gabe and Stefan were both about to dash forward, but Howie had swiftly put up his hands defensively.
"Okay can we can we talk about this?" Howie attempted to reason.
"Talk about how we're supposed to steal each other's flags? Kind of an awkward topic of conversation, don't you think," Gabe just commented.
"I- that's true," Howie sighed as he realized Gabe had a point.
"Let's just do this," Charlotte said, shaking her head as she was ready to get to the action.
Everyone then got into a posture, staring each other down, waiting for someone to make the first move.
Kelvin just stood watching, staring back and forth at both groups. "Why are we staring at each other so intensely? Is this part of the challenge?"
Both groups just shushed him, causing him to go back to staring blankly.
Finally, Charlotte swiped fast at Gabe, but he had managed to move to the side. Howie then made his move at Stefan, who had dodged as well.
Stefan, who was quick on his feet, then grabbed Howie's flag. Howie couldn't react as fast, so he jumped out of the way too late.
Howie sighed now seeing he was out.
"Hey, good game, bruh," Stefan just put out a hand to Howie, who nodded and shook it.
Stefan and Gabe then both positioned themselves on both sides of Charlotte.
The smaller girl swayed her head from side to side, trying to keep track of both of them.
Confessionals
🎮Gabe- "Normally, I'm usually against 2v1s cause it feels a bit unfair. But normally, I'm also against my opponent, and when it comes to opponents unfair becomes a foreign term. Unfair? What language is that from? Not the one I'm speaking," Gabe chuckled slyly.
End
Charlotte tried to then go for Gabe again, but the gamer once again swerved to the side.
As she had gone for Gabe, it left her open, 9giving Kelvin the opportunity to grab her flag.
Charlotte didn't even notice, as she kept rapidly swiping at Gabe.
"Woah! Hey! Hey!" Gabe just exclaimed as he was having close calls, just barely dodging Charlotte's quick hands. "You might wanna check what you're missing."
Charlotte then looked down to see her flag gone, letting out an annoyed groan as she was out.
"Good game," Stefan and Gabe both told her, to which Charlotte just whispered it back to them as she glanced towards the floor.
"We should probably get going, bro," Stefan then said as he looked at Gabe and Kelvin.
"Yesiree! We got more flags to collect!" Gabe just exclaimed giddily. Gabe and Stefan fist bumped, before turning to each fist bump Kelvin.
The three of them were about to move when they then heard a loud yell.
"Yaahhh!" The sound was coming from above.
Then from the trees Ingrid came crashing down onto Gabe and Stefan. She landed directly on top of them.
Confessionals
✌Stefan- "Really bruh? That hurt for real though. Why would you do that? I would even hand you my flag than have you crush me."
**Static**
🎮Gabe- "That was cool not gonna lie! The screaming and the surprise sneak attack! The part that was not so cool was having your body used as a landing mat and the screaming and the sneak attack."
**Static**
💪Ingrid- "Did you see that! I exterminated them! So while Howie and Charlotte were busy trying to handle them, I had climbed up the tree right above them. Perfect plan!"
End
"I'll be taking this!" Ingrid easily grabbed the flags of both Gabe and Stefan now that they were both knocked to the floor.
"Could you also take your foot. It's kind of on my back," Gabe remarked, as he was reaching out to grab his glasses that had fallen off his face from being toppled over.
Ingrid then hopped off the two of them, receiving looks from both Howie and Charlotte.
"That was cool.." Charlotte told her, having a face of genuine surprise. Ingrid just looked back with a large grin.
"I know it was!" Ingrid just cheered as she high-fived Charlotte.
Howie on the other hand looked more concerned for Gabe and Stefan. "You could have hurt them?!"
Ingrid stared at Stefan and Gabe, before turning back to face Howie.
"But I didn't," Ingrid replied as she proudly held up the two flags she collected.
"Actually...you kind of did, but we'll live," Stefan admitted as he held his hand to his throbbing head.
Gabe was stretching his back, which was now aching. "Don't mind me, just experiencing back pain. So on the bright side I can finally call my grandfather #relatable."
Confessionals
💪Ingrid- "Sorry, but a win is a win. All is fair in love and war, especially a little pain."
**Static**
Howie- "I'm glad Ingrid got their flags, but did she really have to jump on Gabe and Stefan like that?" Howie just sighed.
End
Meanwhile, Daisy was now the last remaining member of her team. She was unaware of this, as the actress just strolled quietly through the forest. She was on alert, as she quickly turned to any sound she heard around her.
"I need to find some people so I can get their flags," Daisy directed towards herself as she came to stop by a tree.
Daisy then looked up the tree, identifying a nice place she could perch.
"Time to take the higher ground," Daisy suggested to herself as a smile now appeared on her face.
"Okay..here goes..." Daisy said as she began her climb up the tree.
Though she almost had some slip-ups, Daisy has finally got to the branch.
She sat on it, getting a nice view over the island.
"So where are they.." Daisy murmured as she narrowed her eyes as she surveyed the environment.
She ended up seeing nothing, and only hearing the sounds of animals going on with their natural activities.
Then she finally noticed a movement to the north. Then she heard another to the west. Daisy looked to see what was coming in both directions, noticing from the north it seemed to be Balaam and from the west it seemed to be Ingrid. She gulped seeing she had 2 people to deal with.
"They don't see me...I have the advantage," Daisy reminded herself to try to calm her nerves. Daisy then tried to consider a plan to knock them both out.
Once she was ready, Daisy then jumped to another branch that was nearby. While she made it; she still almost fell.
"Ah!" Daisy yelled, but then quickly covered her mouth. It was too late though. They had heard her.
Daisy looked around for Balaam and Ingrid, but she didn't see them where they were originally situated.
"Huh?" Daisy now peered around more cautiously. "Oh gosh..where did they go?"
"Boo," Balaam was behind Daisy as she was just turning her head around for the third time.
"Ah!" Daisy was spooked enough to lose her grip on the branch slipping off.
She managed to latch on with one hand, now dangling on the branch.
Balaam couldn't help but chuckle as he looked down at her.
"Help me!" Daisy pleaded as she looked up frightful at Balaam. She then stared down at the ground which was a good fall away.
"No, help me. Give me your flag first," Balaam smiled as he held out his hand.
"I'm gonna fall!" Daisy begged as she could feel her strengthen weakening.
"Then give me your flag and that just might not end up happening," Balaam reasoned as he kept his hand out.
Confessionals
😊Daisy- "Do I really want my team to go to elimination? If I do this then I'm risking me or Ryder going home. But what else can I do?"
**Static**
😈Balaam- "I was walking looking for more people. Luckily I heard Daisy scream. She was basically calling for me to get her flag."
End
"Fine!" Daisy gave in, throwing her flag into his hand.
"Thanks for the flag," Balaam told her as he pocketed it. He then helped Daisy up. "And thanks for the win."
Ingrid had arrived late, "Man did I miss the action?"
"No you just missed me winning," Balaam replied, smirking.
Ingrid just rolled her eyes at the comment, "At Least we won."
Soon both teams had gathered back where Caleb and Serenna were sitting and spectating the challenge.
Caleb smiled as the contestants returned, clearing his throat.
"So congratulations to the Ambitious Alligators! Safe once again from the threat of elimination."
The Ambitious Alligators just all clapped, even releasing a "woo!"(From Carter and Esme).
"As for the Salamanders, you'll see Michigan tonight for the elimination," Caleb informed them as he stood with his hands behind his back. "You guys can head back to camp!"
Confessionals
😈Balaam- "Well I definitely proved myself on my team. I'm pretty sure me and Ingrid did the most for the team. We both got 2 flags, and both were the last players remaining. For a stupid, irrational girl, she sure does have spirit. She also has a peanut sized brain so it isn't much of an advantage."
**Static**
😉Carter- "Phew! We don't have to go to elimination! I don't want to go there again!"
**Static**
👽Kelvin- "Once again we are returning to elimination where we must send one of our own colleagues home. That is an unfortunate circumstance."
End
Lake 🎣 (Day 12)
Cece had gone fishing with Stefan, Gabe, and Kelvin just before the elimination. She had said she wanted fish, but in reality she wanted to quickly talk with them.
"So to rehash, we're voting for one of the couple. Who?" Cece asked them as she was readying her fishing bait.
"Oh we're serious about that?" Gabe just questioned as he was untangling the fishing net with Kelvin.
"Yes. Now is our chance," Cece pointed out to him. "To be honest, I feel like Ryder is needed for challenges. We don't want to keep losing."
Stefan sighed as he was just holding one of the oars. "If we have to pick then I agree that we should do Daisy."
"Yes, it makes sense to keep a physically fit member of the team compared to one who is less physically fit," Kelvin added.
"Okay, so 4 against 2. We clearly have the numbers," Cece then smirked.
Confessionals
🃏Cece- "This is all part of the plan. I need to make sure the boys vote for Daisy. But she isn't my true target, but if she does go home I wouldn't mind."
**Static**
✌Stefan- "I feel bad, but it's the move we might have to make at the moment. It makes sense even if it also makes me sad."

Salamanders Girls Cabin (Day 12)
Daisy and Ryder had spent their time in the girls cabin while everyone else was gone.
"You sure you're okay Ryder?" Daisy was checking his bruise and cut.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Ryder assured her, dismissing it. "Forget about it. I'm just bummed we lost."
Daisy sighed at the comment, as her face filled with guilt.
"..Ryder, I'm so sorry," Daisy turned her head to look down. Her eyes seemed to be teary. "It's my fault..I couldn't hold on. I couldn't beat them. Now one of us might go."
"Hey," Ryder grabbed her hand. "Don't beat yourself up, Daisy. We all lost. Everyone on the team."
Daisy didn't say anything, she just kept her eyes glued to the floor.
Ryder then remembered something as he put his hand in his pocket. "Hey actually, I want to give you something," Ryder smiled as he brought out the necklace.
Daisy looked up, as her mouth widened in surprise.
"Ryder where did you get it?" Daisy asked as she took the necklace in her own hands. She softly felt the texture of it.
"Doesn't matter, it's yours now," Ryder remarked as he took it and put it around Daisy's neck.
Daisy fixed it around her neck, and looked down to examine how it looked on her outfit.
"Oh Ryder! Thank you!" Daisy pulled him into a hug.
Ryder just beamed, "Glad to cheer you up!"
The door to the cabin had then opened, and Cece had come in. She had returned from fishing with the other boys.
"Probably not the best time, lovebirds, but I have some quick news," Cece commented as she came to sit on the bed across from the two of them.
"What is it?" Daisy questioned with both eagerness and curiosity.
"So, the boys are voting for Daisy. That's the bad news. The good news is I'll vote with you guys to send home Kelvin," Cece explained to them. "Oh somewhat relevant news: Kelvin caught a large fish."
"Oh yay! We're eating good tonight!"
"Then as expected he lost it."
"Darn..."
"But Stefan and Gabe got us 3 smaller ones. Moving on, the vote will tie and there's a chance it will be switched. We need to vote Kelvin," Cece instructed.
Ryder and Daisy stared at each other, then back to Cece. They then both nodded in agreement.
"We'll do it," Ryder confirmed.
"If they're voting for me..it's only fair," Daisy added on.
Confessionals
😊Daisy- Daisy's eyes were once again teary. "That fact the boys would vote for me...it honestly hurts since they're my friends. If it was anyone else I wouldn't be as upset, but your own friends just turning on you?"
**Static**
🃏Cece- "My real target is Kelvin. If Kelvin goes, it puts me in the ideal position. If Daisy goes then there is still the chance Ryder links back up with the boys and I'm out, so Kelvin going is the ideal scenario."
End
Salamanders Campgrounds (Night 12)
As the elimination was getting closer, Stefan, Gabe, and Kelvin had decided to talk with Daisy and Ryder.
As they approached, they could sense the irritation from both Daisy and Ryder.
"The elimination is soon, so let's just get right to the point!" Ryder decided. "Why are you guys targeting us! What have we done!"
"We have an alliance," Daisy added in as she crossed her arms. "And I heard your voting for me...I just don't get it. I would never do that to you."
"Okay, slow your roll," Stefan held up his hands defensively. "Let us explain. It's just that you guys are an unstoppable pair. We have to play the game too and we don't want to end up out. If it comes down to us 5, who would go home."
"Well-" Ryder stammered as he couldn't think of a point to counter that.
"Well we had a deal! An alliance!" Daisy finished for him, sounding surprisingly angry.
Gabe was just awkwardly looking at his friends, now swaying guilty. Although he had a face of pondering, like he was thinking of something.
"As I am aware. Deals can be broken," Kelvin stated.
"So what? You're gonna break your deal and vote Daisy out?!" Ryder demanded.
"Wait a minute," Gabe then interrupted. "You said you know Daisy is being targeted?"
"Yes, we know!" Daisy crossed her arms, rightful upset. "It isn't a secret."
"Your right it isn't," Gabe agreed, nodding his head with a smile.
Everyone looked at Gabe, confused at what he was getting at.
"Think about it. The only way you would know that is if Cece told you," Gabe reasoned as he looked at everyone.
"So?" Ryder asked, crossing his arms.
"Cece also is the one that told us to target you," Stefan explained.
"But.." Daisy began tilting her head. "She's the one that said we were being targeted by...you?" Daisy now had a look of confusion.
"Isn't it obvious she is one that's playing us," Gabe stated. "She told me, Stefan, and Kelvin to target you guys. Then she told you guys we were targeting you. She's playing us against each other, I do it all the time in murder mystery games."
Everyone paused as they had to think about it.
"Oooohhh," Finally everyone said as everything finally registered. All the pieces clicked together.
"Exactly," Gabe smirked. "So that changes things up, huh."
Confessionals
🎮Gabe- "Leave it to Gabe to figure things out! Cece I see you..now the votes are being changed up!"
End
The Elimination 🔥(Night 12)
The Salamanders slumped into the elimination. This being their third time, they were used to it but also disappointed. Each of them had a seat in their designated spot.
Michigan stood at the podium wearing a pitying expression.
"Losing for the third time in a row, huh?" Michigan just quipped.
"Just get on with it," Ryder stated impatiently as he tapped his foot on the floor.
"Alright, you could at least ask nicely," Michigan said as he picked up a platter that had 5 oreos on it. "So Daisy, how are things on your team?"
"Well ever since me and Ryder have been a thing..it's been different," Daisy admitted. "It's felt like it's me and Ryder vs everyone else."
"Well, Kelvin is it Daisy and Ryder vs everyone else?" Michigan repeated her statement as a question.
"I think the logic behind why the 2 of them were singled out was because they have a relationship that can be considered relatively unbreakable," Kelvin answered as he pushed up his shades.
"Huh, so does that make them a target Cece?" Michigan then turned to face Cece.
"It does," Cece answered simply. "Doesn't mean they're going home though."
"So who is going then, Gabe?"
"Well..we had a large misunderstanding at a camp. Can't go tooooo much into detail, but I'll just say we figured out what was going on. I guess that detective movie did come in handy with putting the clues together," Gabe chuckled.
"Lastly, Stefan, how will this vote affect the team?"
"I don't know. But hopefully it's the best move right now," Stefan just answered. "I'm worried about when to make each move, and I'm hoping this one tonight is the right one."
"Well time to vote!"
Each member got up to vote. There wasn't much hesitation as everyone wrote a name down. Although some people did cross out their original choice and put another.
"Okay, the votes are in," Michigan announced as everyone returned to their seat. "So with that, the first oreo is going to...Stefan."
Stefan caught it and did a salute with two fingers.
"Ryder"
Ryder just caught it and tossed it into his mouth.
"Gabe"
Gabe seized the oreo as he whispered, "epic gamer moment."
"That leaves Daisy, Cece, and Kelvin. One of you 3 is out of the game. With that being said, with no votes..."

"Once again it's down to you Kelvin. This time with Cece," Michigan stated as she looked at the two of them, holding the last oreo.
Kelvin had his usual blank face.
Cece just had an uncaring look as she crossed her arms nonchalantly.
"And the final oreo goes to..."

"Cece..it is not going to you, I'm sorry."
Kelvin just caught the oreo in his hand.
Cece sighed as she stood up, "As expected. Well I tried."
"Cece, we'll miss you," Gabe assured her.
"I'm sorry Cece," Daisy had just apologized.
"See ya Cece," Ryder waved to her.
"Stay cool," Stefan waved to her.
Kelvin also simply waved bye.
"If I'm not gonna win, one of you better win for me," Cece stated as she then made her departure.
The Votes
Ryder- Cece
"I wrote Kelvin down at first, but then I switched it to you. I just don't think you can be trusted with that stunt you pulled. Even if we were to work with you, you wouldn't be a loyal member."
Cece- Kelvin
"I might as well explain the strategy of this vote. I need Kelvin to go first that way, Gabe and Stefan are blindsided and it breaks their trust with Ryder and Daisy. It also means Gabe and Stefan need me to have numbers, so they will have no other choice but to work with me. Ryder and Daisy will also be forced to work with me. It will put me as the swing vote which is the best position to be in."
Stefan- Cece
"I really considered doing the couple, but it's way too early. The stunt you pulled just shows you're very sneaky, so I can't trust you bruh."
Daisy- Cece
"I'm so sorry Cece. It's just you tried to turn my allies against me. I really hope we can be friends after this though."
Kelvin- Cece
"I was directed to vote for you since your loyalty has come into question, and you have been labeled as untrustworthy."
Gabe- Cece
"Gosh Cece! You had the wool over my eyes and everything! But that Enola Holmes movie must have activated my Detective skills or something cause I figured out how you were playing both sides. You were close though. Hopefully you get another chance."
Voting Total
Cece-5(Ryder, Daisy, Gabe, Kelvin, and Stefan)
Kelvin- 1(Cece)
Cece's final message
"Well I tried, but the odds were against me since the beginning. I did try to change things, but sometimes you put all your cards on the table and you still don't win the game. This was fun though, and I'd love to do it again sometime. I think if I play again, you will see Cecilla Vernez as your winner."
