I've been a devoted supporter of the Levi and Petra pairing, and this story has lingered in my thoughts for quite a few years. Despite my initial lack of confidence in writing, I've mustered up the courage to put pen to paper. I hope you find joy in reading it.

The ending was not good. And this is the short version of my opinion on it. And the longer version I wrote originally for the manga ending. Since the manga ending is so similar to the anime, I thought it would be fitting.

There's a song sung in the olive orchards, about birds and farmers alike. It's the song that sticks with Aliva as she's dying; the song that tells her she's not yet ready to give up on living. But there is a price to getting a second chance at survival, and there are always more people ready to collect than there are to pay.

Being almost invincible was the curse to lose those fighting beside him, so endure was all he could do to fulfill his promise, his mission, though never with hope for a future of his own. Still, life was full of the unexpected, sometimes the good kind, but having the guts to risk more than your flesh for it would be harder than anything else in this chaos and after so much pain.
