"Is this helping you sleep, Rockie since you're not a good sleeper and Mommy Groot was worried aboht you." Nebula asked. "Sort of Nebs but love the idea of a sleepover as big kids do it a lot and hope my night-time friends aren't missing me." Rocket replied to her. It was late-night on Planet Groot and in their Groot-house, the toddler-Guardians were asleep except for one lil raccoon-male who normally snuck out of the house to play with night-time friends only Groot had worried about his sleeping along with his sibs so Nebula or Bula as they nicknamed her had decided to help him sleep by havihg a sleepover, in her room which the toddler-raccoon loved and after playing fir a bit and having snacks, they were in Nebula's bed.
"I think they'll be okay Rockie, but this is pretty awesome." Nebula said yawning which made Rocket smile yawning too which was odd for him, he was normally wide-awake enjoying the snuggles from Nebula thinking good thoughts like inventing cool things and toys, playing with his sibs, enjoying the milk Groot gave then feeling his lil furry eyelids getting heavy passing out into sleep feeling Nebula kiss his furry lil head. The next morning as the sun rose on Planet Groot, Drax, Gamora, Mantis and Nebula were up noticing Rocket wasn't with her thinking he'd been up late seeibg Nebula shake her head despite her dark-blue hair being messy from sleep explaining that Rocket was asleep in her bed and had been there all night impressing them as they were heading to the kitchen eating breakfast and drinking milk feeling good after a good night's rest making Nebula grin, hearing Mantis ask where Rocket was.
"Mommy Groot will be happy, that Rockie got sleep, he gets cranky when he doesn't sleep." Mantis replied.
After eating, they were going out to play, only Nebula was staying si Rocket would be okay when he woke up and not think he was missing out on havibg fun with them seeing him enter hugging her having messy bed fur seeing him eating messily making him giggle sensing Mama Groot. "Groot Morning and see Rocket's awake so whatever you did, it worked." he told Nebula.
"You're welcome mommy, I just wanted to help him sleep." she replied softly surprising Rocket as she like Gamora was pretty brace. "Everything okay as you're brave just like Gammy, did something scare you." he asked her seeing her quiet whispering into his furry ear.
"Ohhhhhh, we can help." Rocket to,d her hugging her. "Thanks Rockie as we are family, and good friends." she said
Outside Gamora, Drax, and Mantis were playing tag making Rocket grin, as this was one of his favourite games joining in with them relieving Drax that the toddler-raccoon was wide-awake but Nebula was quiet and Rocket got them to huddle up explaining what was happening making them understand. "We fan help her as we are good friends or Mommy Groot." Mantis pointed out seeing Rocket nod. "You know she doesn't like to bother mommy." he told them.
"Yeah, but it's okay to ask for help." Gamora said to them seeing Nebula join them wondering what was going on hearing the others revealing about her bad dreams making the blue-skinned girl understand hugging him and her sibs knowing they wanted to help astounded the bad dreams involved Thanos and Rocket was holding her hand as she talked to give her courage which helped.
"We should tell Mommy Groot, as he can help." Drax told her making her frowning as she didn't want to bother their treelike parent when they had problens but sighed going to get water to hydrate like Groot told them being in hotvweather seeing Rocket scamper over to her asking her, if she was okay. "Yeah but just thinking about things." she told him but it was getting hotter which happened during the middle of the day and were being protected by Groot giving them shade bu Rocket had an idea whispering into Mommy Groot's ear telling him what was happening t9 Nebula.
"Thank you for telling me, I think I can help her." Groot whisppered to him.
"That's good, thanks mommy." he replied to him making Drax curious. Later after rest-time Groot was pouring tea into Nebula's cup explaining it would help her with her problem guessing Rocket had told him what was happening smiling sipping as it was very fruity and refreshing but relaxing as she'd had another dream .
That evening in the Groot-house, the toddler-Guardians were getting ready for bed and doing their winding down routine plus Groot had gotten their bedtime snacks ready as it would make them sleepy knowing Rocket might sneak out to go play with his nocturnal friends hoping Nebula would convince him to sleep. "Are you feeling like trying to sleep, Rockie, maybe Mommy's special tea might relax you, it helped me earlier." Nebula told Rocket while in her nightshirt and shorts. "I guess… you know raccoons ain't the best sleepers, we sleep during the day." he replied to her unaware Groot had overheard them knowing Nebula was right, making the special tea pouring it into a cup for Rocket to help relax him inti sleeping as it would help him grow.
"Thanks, mommy as I do wanna sleep but it's hard, you know." he replied to him. "I know but at least you're trying to sleep which is good because your hrain needs it, for all the things you want to invent." Groot replied to him ruffling the kit's shaggy hair bangs hearing him giggle softly then yawning. "You have a point." he replied going tomhis room but Groot hoped he'd sleep helping the other toddler-Guardians get into their beds telling then stories and kissing them goodnight.
He grinned checking on Rocket seeing him asleep hugging his warrior Nebs stuffie which he slept with and played with but talked to her toowhich he'd did while lying on his bed which had helped him zone out kissing his furry head wishing him good dreams leaving his room hoping he woukd be okay plus he had a surprise for them which he'd tell them in the morning.
