~The Eternal Isles~

Grace was walking around in the garden, enjoying the scenery before her.

"Aaaah, this is relaxing." Grace smiled, walking around. "So, what to do? I have about three more years to go until I go to Alfea college." Then, suddenly a bright light appeared before her. "Wh-What?" Then everything around them stopped, like as if time around them stopped. "Huh? Huh!? Everything and every sound just suddenly…stopped for some reason." The light shine brightly than before, making her scream a little and to cover her eyes with her arms to block the brightness. Then she felt a force that was pulling her, then everything started to spin.

"I gotta get out! (stands) Sota! Are you there? Get Gramps!" Kagome shouted but there is no answer. Kagome grips onto the vines growing on the walls of the well and climbs upwards. "That kid! He ran away!" A white glowing butterfly flutters near her. "(surprised) Huh?" The butterfly flies away. She reaches the ledge of the well as Atsume jumps on top of it. However, it is no longer the interior of the hut anymore. A lush greenery and forest is seen instead. She sits herself on the ledge. "(shocked, thinking) Where's this? I know I fell into the well at the shrine, but… (gets off the ledge and walks around) Gramps! Mom? Gramps! Mom!" She walks into a forest area; birds are tweeting in the pleasant forest. In front of the tree with a boy pinned to it, Grace groaned as she slowly opened her eyes and sat up.

"What happened?" Grace muttered as she rubbed her head. She then blinked and looked at the scenery around. "Just what is this place? This isn't my home. Where am I?" She heard an unfamiliar voice coming towards her direction.

Kagome: "Sota… Buyo… The shrine is gone. (noticing) The Sacred Tree!" The Sacred Tree that is in the Higurashi Shrine is seen among towering among the other trees. Kagome runs towards it happily. "What a relief! (pushes away some bushes) I'm close to home!" She stops in her tracks and saw Grace. "Oh. Hello. I don't think I've seen you before."

"Can't say that I blame you. I'm not from around here." Grace smiled.

"I'm Kagome. What's your name?" Kagome smiled.

"I'm Princess Grace Dayshadow Rainbowbud of the Eternal Isles. Nice to meet you." Grace smiled, introducing herself as she curtsied to Kagome.

"YOU'RE A REAL LIFE PRINCESS!?" Kagome exclaimed in shock.

"That's right." Grace nodded.

"Have you noticed someone pinned to a tree behind you?" Kagome asked.

"What do you..." Grace trailed off as she turned around and looked behind her. She and Kagome looked at the Sacred Tree. A boy is pinned onto the tree, with roots growing over him. An arrow is pierced through his chest. It is Inuyasha. His eyes are closed and he looks dead/unconscious. "Oh, my...the boy looks hurt."

Kagome: "A boy? (climbs up a root and walks to Inuyasha) Hey, what're you doing? (noticing two dog ears on Inuyasha's head, thinking) These…aren't human ears. I want to touch them…" She rubs Inuyasha's ears curiously with both hands for awhile. She stops and slouches over. "Though maybe I shouldn't be doing that."

"But his ears on top of his head is cute." Grace complimented. Suddenly a group of villagers appear and draw arrows at her and Kagome.

"Kagome, look out!" Grace shouted as she extended her hand and closed her eyes while turning her head away. Just then, a barrier form around her and Kagome and pushed back the arrows. From the credits, one of the villagers is called Yukichi, and appears often after.

Yukichi: "(drawing an arrow at Kagome and Grace with several other villagers threateningly) You there! What're you up to?!" The villages fire their arrows. Kagome and Grace cowers onto Inuyasha, while the arrows miss and hit the tree trunk instead. The villagers rushes up to her and Grace.

"Wait! Me and Kagome are no threat to you!" Grace protested. Cut to village square. Kagome and Grace sits with their hands and ankles tied up on a straw mat in the village square. The villagers surround them.

Kagome: "Hey! Why are we tied up?!"

"Listen! We're not going to hurt you all!" Atsume shouted.

Villager 1: "Two young girls in strange clothing."

Villager 2: "From a foreign land?"

Villager 3: "Will there be war again?"

Yukichi: "Just before rice-planting season? We're so short-handed as it is!"

Villager woman: "Perhaps they're a fox in disguise?"

Villager 6: "Better a shape-changer than another war."

Kagome: "(surveying the villagers, thinking) Topknots…topknots… All of them have topknots! Where is this place?!"

Yukichi: "Make way for High Priestess Kaede!" An old woman with an eyepatch in priestess clothes, holding a bundle and a bow, walks towards Kagome and Grace.

Kagome: "(thinking) Great. Here comes ANOTHER weirdo." Kaede hands her arrow to Yukichi, reaches into her bundle for some powder and throws it at her and Grace as she and Grace struggles. "Hey! What're you doing?!" Grace coughs.

"You shouldn't throw some stuff at us." Grace coughed.

Kaede: "They told me a demon was found in the Inuyasha Forest. I thought some ritual purification was in order."

Villager 8: "Then could they be a foreign spy?"

Kaede: "(pissed) Yes, but to spy on what?! We can barely feed ourselves in this village."

"Exactly! We are not the enemy!" Grace explained as Kaede then looks at Kagome and is surprised. She walks closer to Kagome.

Kaede: "You there. Let me take a good look at your face. (grabs Kagome's chin and turns her face left and right) Look clever, girl!" Grace giggled.

Kagome: "You! (glares at the old woman)"

Kaede: "Such a likeness… to my sister Kikyo." She then looked at Grace. 'She does have a resemblance to my sister Kikyo too but have more powers and powerful purification powers.' She thought to herself.

Kagome: "Huh?" She and Grace looked at Kaede in confusion. Nighttime in Kaede's hut. Kaede is scooping up some stew for Kagome and Grace. "Looks delicious! Thank you! (drinks the stew)"

"Yes! Thank you for clearing things up with the villagers, Kaede." Grace smiled.

Kaede: "It's not a problem. Forgive us. With so many wars these days, our young ones have become rash. Even if I tell them we've no business with wars, they refuse to listen and only give me more to worry about."

Kagome: "This, uh… isn't Tokyo, is it?"

Kaede: ""Tokyo"…? Never heard of such a place. Is that your homeland?"

Kagome: "Yes, well… I'd like to go home soon. (thinking) Not that I know how, exactly…" Kaede looks intently at her as she and slurps up more stew.

CUT TO FLASHBACK of earlier on in the episode, when the younger Kaede held up the injured Kikyo.

Young Kaede: "(supporting Kikyo) Sister, we must tend to your injury!"

Kikyo: "Take this Sacred Jewel… and burn it with my body!"

BACK TO PRESENT.

Kaede: "(thinking) Fifty years have passed since that day." Cut to a demon burrowing through the grass at a very fast speed. It crashes into a hut and reveals its centipede body. It destroys more huts in the village. Cut to villagers running. A bell is ringing in the background. Grace, Kaede and Kagome rush out of their hut.

Kaede: "What's going on?!"

Villager: "An evil spirit!" The centipede monster that grabbed Kagome into the well appears. She holds a horse in her mouth. Several villagers fire arrows at her, whom she swipes away with her tail. She flings the horse in Grace, Kagome and Kaede's direction. They manage to dodge.

Kagome: "(shocked) That again!"

Centipede: "Hand me the Sacred Jewel! (swoops down at Kaede, Grace and Kagome but misses)"

Kaede: "(shocked) The Sacred Jewel? (to Kagome) Do you have it?"

Kagome: "I don't know! I don't know about any Sacred Jewel!" Two villagers fire arrows at the centipede while she's midair.

"She's telling the truth!" Grace said.

Centipede: "Give it to me! Give it to me! (spins her body and swipes her spinning tail at the villagers)"

Kagome: "(thinking) That demon! It's coming after me!"

Yukichi: "Our spears and arrows have no effect!"

Kaede: "We must lure it to the Dry Well!"

Kagome: "Dry well?"

"In the Forest of Inuyasha." Grace said.

Kagome: "(thinking) That's the well I climbed out of." She turned to Kaede and Grace. "Which way is the forest? (turns around) Where the light is shining, right?" She and Grace runs off.

Kaede: "(shocked) Wait!" The centipede swoops down at Kaede and the villagers again. Cut to Kagome and Grace running. They jumps into a shallow pond.

Kagome: "We'll draw it away!"

"I'll be sure to protect her!" Grace called out to them.

Kaede: "How is it she can see but cannot be seen in the Forest of Inuyasha?"

Villager 4: "(approaches with several other villagers and horses) Priestess Kaede!" Kaede and Yukichi get onto horses. Cut to Kagome and Grace running through a lone path, panting heavily. They are running towards a forest which has a psychedelic-colored sky above it.

Kagome: "(thinking) Will I be saved?! Will I? (looks back and see the centipede chasing them, thinking). Gramps! Mom! Save us! Someone help!" She yells. "Someone help us!"Pans swiftly to the forest, where Inuyasha is sealed. A pink glow pulses around him. His hands suddenly clenches a little. Inuyasha wakes up.

Inuyasha: "(smirks evilly) I can smell it… The scent of the woman who killed me! It's approaching!" He tries to take out the arrow in his chest, but the arrow emits a barrier that prevents him from doing so. "(furious) Damn!" He then suddenly sniffs another familiar scent. "Not only that but an unfamiliar scent is approaching too! It's like the women who killed me but different!" Cut to Kagome and Grace running up a slope in the forest. The centipede is hot on their trail.

Centipede: "Give me the Sacred Jewel!"

Kagome: "(yelling) I don't have any such thing!"

"Kagome, watch out!" Grace yelled as Kagome and her runs up the slope, the Centipede Monster lunges at them. "Get away from us!" She launched a beam of heat at the demon from her hand, pushing it away as they crashing into the ground and sending them flying. They flips in the air and lands in front of Inuyasha.

Kagome: "Oww!"

"That hurt!" Grace groaned.

Inuyasha: "Hello, Kikyo! Playing with bugs now, are we? And are you okay, miss?"

"Huh?" Grace questioned as she turned and look up at him. Grace and Inuyasha stared at each other in a few seconds as blushes appeared on their cheeks and their hearts beat for a second. "Uh, yeah. I am."

Kagome: "Huh?" She looks up at Inuyasha. "(thinking) Did he just talk?" She looks at Grace and him staring at each other, blushing and giggled before she looks at Inuyasha. "(to Inuyasha) So you're alive?"

Inuyasha: "(clears his throat and his blush disappear.) Why you taking so long to kill it? Just do her like you did me. You look pretty dumb there, Kikyo. The Kikyo I know wouldn't waste her time."

"Uh, I think you mistook her for someone else." Grace said sheepishly.

Kagome: "(irritated) That does it. Kikyo, Kikyo, whoever she is, she's not me because my name—"

Inuyasha: "(interrupting and looking ahead) She's here." The Centipede lunges at Kagome and Grace from behind, who dodges. A few grappling hooks appear and hits the Centipede Monster. The villagers appear around the group.

Villager 1: "Good! Now pull!" Villagers pulls the grappling hook, reeling the Centipede Monster in.

Kagome: "We're saved…"

Inuyasha: " (scoffs) So hopeless, Kikyo!"

Kagome: "Hey you! Don't mistake me! I said I'm not Kikyo! (walks to right in front of Inuyasha)"

"I think maybe you should smell closely to the scent." Grace said sheepishly.

Inuyasha: "Shut up! And what do you mean, girl!? Who else would give off a scent like you? Huh? (sniffs Kagome) Or… maybe not Kikyo."

Kagome: "Finally! My name is Kagome! Ka-go-me!"

Inuyasha: "(to himself) Kikyo seemed smarter. And she was a beauty." Kagome gets riled up as Grace sighed. Suddenly the Centipede Monster grabs them from behind, pulling at her. Kagome in turn pulls at Inuyasha's hair.

"Release me at once!" Grace shouted.

Kagome: "Let go of me!"

Inuyasha: "Ow, ow, ow! You let go!" Kaede and Yukichi arrive at the scene.

Villager 2: "Priestess Kaede! Inuyasha has awakened!

Kaede: '(shocked, thinking) How can this be?! The spell that was cast was eternal! So why…?'

Centipede: "Give me the Sacred Jewel!"

"No!" Grace shouted.

Kagome: "Let me go!"

Inuyasha: '(shocked, thinking) The Sacred Jewel?' The Centipede Monster opens her mouth, revealing all her sharp teeth, about to bite into Kagome and Grace while Grace screamed in fright.

Kagome: "(raising her hand at the Centipede) Stop!"

"LET GOOOOO!" Grace screamed, glowing brightly. A force emits from her palm and hits the Centipede while a magic energy filled with heat shaped like a dragon and part dragon and part griffon burned her, causing her to let go of them. She and Grace falls to the ground. The human arms of the monster drops off.

"That's right! (looking at her hand) Something like this happened in that well…" Kagome murmured.

"What just happened? Oh, no. Did my powers revealed themselves?" Grace muttered in worry, looking at her hands. The villagers gasp in amazement at their feat.

"But… why can I do these things?" Kagome questioned. Just then, a glow appears at the side of her torso. "Something is shining!" Another glow appeared in Grace's torso. The Centipede monster lunges at her again and this time, Kagome is thrown into the air.

"Kagome!" Grace shouted when she is in midair, the glow exits her body and becomes a pink orb.

Kagome: '(thinking) From within me… Is that the Sacred Jewel?' She falls to the ground, the orb landing in front of her.

Inuyasha: "Give me that Jewel! Hurry!" Before Kagome has time to react, the Centipede Monster circles her body around the tree and Kagome several times, and squeezes, pressing Kagome onto Inuyasha on the tree. The orb is still on the ground.

"Oh, no!" Grace yelled worriedly.

Centipede: "I heard that a half-demon brat was after the Sacred Jewel. So you're the one?"

Kagome: '(thinking) A half-demon? What is he anyway?'

Inuyasha: "Don't underestimate me, Centipede Monster! I can take care of you… if I really get down to business."

Kagome: "You! You're awfully arrogant! Are you strong?"

Inuyasha: "Huh?"

Kagome: "Well, are you?"

Centipede: "What can he do, strapped down like that? He's under a powerful spell. (bends down to the Sacred Jewel) Just stay where you are and watch! (picks up the jewel with her tongue and swallows it)"

"Oh, no!" Grace shouted when its body wrapped around her tightly and lifted her in the air. "AAH!"

Inuyasha: "Damn you!"

Villager 1: "It swallowed the Jewel and got the other girl!"

Villager 2: "No! What will happen, Priestess Kaede?!" The fallen limbs of the Centipede Monster start glowing and reattach to her.

Kagome: "Its arms are growing again…!" The Centipede shakes a little and her skin falls off, revealing a grotesque rotten skeleton like torso and face.

Centipede: "Rejoice! My power is being restored!" The centipede tightens her body and Kagome ends up being dragged downwards.

Kagome: "(struggling) It crushing me!"

Inuyasha: "(serious) Hey. Can you pull out this arrow?"

Kagome: "Huh?"

Inuyasha: "(fierce) I'm asking if you can pull out this arrow!"

"Kagome, you need to release the arrow on his chest!" Grace called out to her.

Kagome: "This arrow? (reaching) this one?"

Kaede: "(getting off the horse) Do not remove it! That arrow secures the spell on the Inuyasha! You must not free the Inuyasha!"

"But it's the only chance you people get against this demon!" Grace said.

Inuyasha: "Exactly! You old hag, wake up! Do you want to become fodder for the centipede?! Once it completely absorbs the Sacred Jewel, it'll be the end! (to Kagome) Come on! Do you want to die here, too?!"

Kagome: "(thinking) I-I don't understand, not any of it…! (grabs the arrow and shout) But I know one thing… (pulls the arrow) I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Light emit from the arrow and it disintegrates.

Kaede: "It disappeared…! The arrow that held my sister's spell…!" The light that emits from Inuyasha fades away and Inuyasha starts to pulsate.

Kagome: "(softly and weakly) Inuyasha…?" Inuyasha starts to laugh hysterically. The centipede tightens her grip on Inuyasha, but Inuyasha breaks free, destroying her body, which explodes into pieces, releasing Grace. Kagome is thrown off onto the ground.

Centipede: "You brat!"

Inuyasha: "(somersaults to the ground) Shut up, old hag! (brandishes his claws) Iron Reaver, Soul Stealer!" He claws at the centipede's mouth and splits the centipede body into two. The body breaks into pieces and lands scattered on the ground.

"Wow..." Grace gasped in awe.

Kagome: "(in disbelief) Wow… He really is strong…!" One of the centipede piece around her twitches. "(shrieks) It's still moving!"

Kaede: "(rushing to Kagome and Grace with the villagers) Do you see the flesh that shines? The Sacred Jewel is embedded there! You must remove it; else it will keep rejuvenating!"

"N-N-No way! (looks around frantically) There! I can see it!" Kagome said. Kaede feels for the Jewel in the body piece that Kagome was referring to and picks up the jewel. The flesh on all the body pieces disintegrates, leaving only bones. Kaede gives the jewel to Kagome. Kagome is surprised.

"Only you can possess the Jewel. (thinking) You, who seem so like my sister, Kikyo." Kaede said then she turned to Grace. "And you seem to have a Sacred Jewel too in your body."

"Really?" Grace questioned then she looked at the glowing light in her torso. "How did that get inside my body?"

"But how'd it get inside my body? Why would Grace and I have a jewel waned by demons?" Kagome asked her.

"(steps up and crushes one of the bones with his feet threateningly) Exactly! Humans can't use it, so why bother to keep it? If you hand it over, I won't have to waste time sharpening my claws on you!" Inuyasha said.

"Wait, what!?" Grace gasped.

"What!? (thinking) What!? You mean, he's not the hero?" Kagome said.
