(A/N: This is my VERY first fanfiction story, so I don't know how well it will do; only time will tell. My inspiration comes from many Fanfiction stories that I have read about Gohan, Videl, and Pan. One of those inspirations is Videl's origin being altered to being half-Saiyan, so I will be including that change. There are a few main points that this story will cover.

For one, I'm going to have Gohan and Videl meet BEFORE the Cell Games happen.

Two, I will have Future Trunks travel back in time with Pan.

Three, explain the events of the Future timeline from Trunks's perspective, including how Gohan and Videl met, and gave birth to Pan.

And finally, have Pan meet Gohan and Videl in the Present timeline.

Something else I'm going to do is make Chi-Chi more lenient in letting Gohan have more freedom. And the last thing I need to mention is the starting point for this story. This will take place a few days before Frieza and King Cold arrive on Earth. I'm pretty sure I can find a way to make this work in a way that makes sense.

With all of that said, let the story begin.)

Chapter 1: Gohan Makes A New Friend

During these times of peace after the events on Planet Namek, Gohan and his mother, Chi-Chi, have been holding their hopes together, and wondering when their loved one, Son Goku, will return to Earth. One day, Gohan asks his mother if he can go to Orange Star City for a couple of hours, as he wants to get some fresh air, and he wants to give her some time to herself. Chi-Chi allows this, and tells her son to be back before sunset. Gohan nods his head, and takes off for Orange Star City. And due to the city not being too far away from his house in the 439 East District area, it only takes him about 30 minutes to reach it.

As he approaches the city, Gohan decides to land at a spot where there aren't a lot of people, as he doesn't want to attract unwanted attention. But as he lands, he notices an odd Ki signature. He also notices that the Ki signature isn't malicious, but stronger than that of a normal human. He hasn't seen anyone with Ki like that before, so he decides to investigate. What he finds is an ordinary-looking girl with black hair tied in pigtails; but that isn't what he finds shocking about her, no. The shocking thing Gohan notices is that the girl has a tail, much like he and his father used to have.

This makes Gohan question something in his head: "Did another Saiyan survive Planet Vegeta's destruction? Vegeta said that he, my father, Nappa, and my evil uncle Raditz were the only full-blooded Saiyans that survived. What can this mean? Whatever the case, this can only mean 1 thing, another full-blooded Saiyan must have survived and gave birth to this girl. I can tell the difference because I can see that she isn't talking or acting like a full-blooded Saiyan at all."

It's at this point that Gohan begins to feel something strange happening with the back of his body. He turns his head to look back at it, and realizes that his own tail is growing back again. But instead of growing worried over what to do about his tail, he decides to take a page out of Vegeta's book, and not worry about it at all. The black-haired girl notices Gohan and sees that he's looking at something on his back. She decides to approach Gohan and ask him what he is looking at.

But as she gets closer, she realizes that Gohan has a tail, just like her. As far as she knows, her mother was one of the last remaining Saiyans to survive Planet Vegeta's destruction. She does, of course, know her mother's name: Fasha. She doesn't remember much about what her mother told her about her past life, before she arrived on Earth. Just then, her two friends, Erasa and Sharpner, interrupt her train of thought.

Erasa is waving her hand in front of the black-haired girl's face, trying to get her attention. "What are you staring at, Videl?" Videl tells her friends about the boy she noticed. She also tells them of her discovery of his tail. Videl even mentions to them about the memory of her telling them when she found out about her Saiyan heritage.

They remember that, of course. As they dwell on this memory, they realize what point Videl is trying to make. That the boy also has some Saiyan heritage within him. So, they decide to approach the boy and ask him about that. But as they do, Erasa and Sharpner get texts from their respective parents on their phones, telling them something important has come up, and that they're both needed at home.

They tell Videl about this, and ask her if she wants to approach and question the boy alone. She nods her head at this question. Erasa and Sharpner take their leave to head home, leaving Videl by herself. She approaches Gohan, and introduces herself to him, with Gohan doing the same in response. After the introductions are over, Videl and Gohan unknowingly had the same thing on their minds, "How are you related to the Saiyan race?"

Videl decides to take the initiative, and asks Gohan the question. Gohan takes a deep breath, and tells Videl that the history of their Saiyan heritage may be a lot to take in, so he warns her about that before he tells her his side of their Saiyan heritage.
