Sorry about the title and the plot guys but I have no regrets, I've been reading too much "City Hunter" and I've recently watched "Spy x Family", so, I thought why not?
- Come on you assholes, try to do something to me and I'll blow this girl's head! – A man said as he pointed his wand at a young woman he was holding hostage.
The man has long dark hair and he has pale skin, he can't help but feel scared but also brave even though he's in the middle of a plaza, so, there's a huge crowd around him but still, some wizards dressed in black suits are pointing their wands at him, and this seems to upset him more than making the situation to stop, the man was on the verge of ending it all, and there was a clear characteristic this man had and it was a snake tattoo on his forearm.
- Fucking coward, taking a defenseless young girl as a hostage… - A red-haired man said with an angry expression – What should we do Harry? – Asked the redhead at a dark-haired wizard who had a serious expression.
- Ron… If you don't stop me I think I'm going to do something crazy – Harry said as he looked at his best friend.
- Let's not rush Harry… You know how our boss gets when you ignore the rules! – Ron was getting worried.
- Ron, we can't wait for the rest of the team to come… He's on the verge of killing that girl, he's like a timebomb, there's no escape for him and he knows it, but before doing that he's capable of taking someone innocent with him, after all, he's surrounded – Harry added.
- Yes, but—Ron was about to argue with Harry, but the green-eyed wizard stepped up before he looked at him.
- Look… If you're worried about our boss' reaction, don't worry, I'll take all the blame – Harry assured his best friend who couldn't change his worried expression despite his words full of confidence.
It took Ron a few moments, but suddenly he accepted his friend's words, Ron closed his eyes and nodded at him, Harry smiled at his best friend and suddenly approached the man who was keeping the hostage.
- STOP WAKING... STEP BACK OR I'LL KILL HER, I—The man said in an angry tone.
But suddenly his expression changed the moment he saw who the person was in front of him, this was the perfect opportunity for him to do something he had been wanting to do since the war ended.
- Potter… You killed my master! – Said the man angrily.
Harry who still maintained his cool expression felt angry hearing that the Voldemort bastard still had supporters, the thought disgusted him, but still, he tried to remain as calm as he could.
- Young lady – Harry talked to the young girl who was being used as a hostage – Please close your eyes – He told her in a sweet and calm tone.
And the girl who was trembling with fear, she couldn't help but feel safe for some reason, so, she did as she was being told.
- You asshole, I'm going to kill her if you don't do what I tell you… I'm going to mess up your reputation Potter, her blood will be on your hands and everyone will blame you for her death! – The man said in a messed up tone.
And the only thing Harry was to move towards him at a slow pace, Harry raised his wand and then he did something no one expected… He dropped his wand, showing the criminal who was in control of the situation, and the criminal smirked at the gest.
- It's time to stop Lestersen… We know everything, we know you're part of the "pure cobras", we know about the explosive charms you and your friends planted through all this place, right now they're at the ministry confessing everything and I don't want to scare you but… They're putting all the blame on you – Harry told him in a caring tone.
- W-What? That doesn't make any sense… Dying before being captured...That was our motto! – The man started to get desperate – Well… If there's no escape for me then – The man stared at Harry's eyes with anger and pinched the girl's neck with his wand – I'll take an innocent with me Avada Ka—The man couldn't finish his sentence as suddenly his head exploded.
Harry ran as fast as he could and grabbed the girl with one hand and covered her eyes with the other as the rest of his Auror friends stared at the scene with horror and worry while Harry and Ron tried to get the girl away from here as the criminal's body ejected blood as if it was a water pump, and surprisingly the body remained on its feet.
- Don't worry… You'll be okay, let's get you out of here – Harry said.
- I got really worried there Harry – Ron said as he stared at his best friend who just chuckled.
- I just needed him to stare directly at my eyes, I've noticed that when people do that I can increase the power of the wandless spells I use on them! – Harry said with a smirk on his face.
A few hours later in an office…
Harry and Ron were happily eating fish and chips as they celebrated the success of the mission as it has been a pain in the rest for the whole department but especially for them.
- You did well right there Harry – Ron said surprised by his best friend's abilities.
- It's not that difficult, you should try to learn how to use it, If the war taught me something it's that is better to not fully trust your wand as your main weapon – Harry said and Ron chuckled.
- I don't think that's a good idea mate… The last time I tried to use wandless magic I ended up burning the drapes of my apartment – The redhead said before sighing and Harry chuckled.
The two of them were about to continue with their banter before getting ready to go to a bar to celebrate properly, but suddenly, someone opened the door, it was a bushy-haired woman who didn't look happy.
- Oh shit! – Ron said with a worried expression.
- Hermione… Boss, I'm glad you—Harry was about to say but he was stopped by the woman.
- Potter… My office… Now! – Said the woman with a serious expression, she seemed on the verge of exploding.
Harry tried to look at Ron for some support, but the redhead quickly looked away in defeat, he wasn't going to challenge their boss especially when he had to deal with her at home.
- Good luck mate – Ron said as Harry got on his feet to get to the destination he was ordered to visit.
The green-eyed wizard knew better than to make their boss wait, well even if she was a temporary boss while the real one was on vacation, however, even if Hermione was his best friend, he still needed to respect her due to her position, there was as reason why she was chosen as the substitute while the real boss was away, and it took him less than ten seconds to knock on the boss' office, she screamed at him to get inside and was ordered to take a seat.
- Chief Granger… You look amazing today, did you do something to your hair? – Asked Harry pretending as much as he could to care about that.
- Oh did you notice? Yes I've—Hermione said happily but she quickly realized what he was trying to do – Don't try to change the main topic and the reason why you're here! – She complained before she slammed her hands on the desk.
And Harry decided to finally shut the fuck up, he gulped and decided to listen to whatever thing Hermione was planning on telling him, the number of people that scared him could be counted with the fingers of one hand and Hermione was one of them, he was more than convinced that she was more dangerous for him than Voldemort.
- Harr—Potter… You're a loose cannon! – Hermione said and Harry wasn't surprised by her words – First, you crash and destroy a wizengamot member's house! – She started.
- Hey, he didn't want to cooperate with us! – Harry complained.
- But then you seduced his daughter… - Hermione said.
- That's not a bad thing I'm just looking after my future, I want to expand my connections… - Harry defended himself.
- And his wife… And his maid and all the other females in that house! – Harry felt a little embarrassed.
- Well, yes, that might be true but—He tried to make this stop, but it was useless.
- And now… You've used wandless magic to make gory art in front of many innocent people who didn't deserve to see something as gross as that… Least of all from the hero of the wizarding world – Hermione said before she sighed.
- Well… He was going to kill her, I had to do something – Harry complained, he didn't think he was in the wrong in this situation.
- Yes Harry… But you need to follow the protocol, we can't roam and walk around there just doing whatever we want just because we have the power to do it… That's the only thing that differentiates us from scum like Voldemort – Hermione sighed as she stared at her best friend.
The dark-haired wizard didn't say anything, he remained in silence as he analyzed the bushy-haired woman's words, he knew that morally and maybe socially, blowing that man's head wasn't the right thing to do but still, it didn't mean he regrets doing it.
- Well, I don't know what you're planning on doing with me… BOSS – Harry said with an angry tone – But if you ask me if I'd put the life of an innocent person above the bureaucracy… Above the moral and most of all, above the life of a criminal then my answer will be… Yes, and even if you ask me an infinite number of times, I'd answer yes the whole time – Harry said with a serious expression.
He has his way of doing things, and nothing will ever make him change his way of dealing with criminals, the war has taught him that there's no point in being merciful with people that don't want mercy, once you get into the blood purity shit, there's no coming back for you, so, in a way he feels like he's doing them a favor, like when you put an end to a dog's life to end their suffering.
- You can't keep going like this Harry… I'm sorry but I have to indefinitely suspend you and—Hermione was about to say but suddenly, someone barged into the office.
It was a blonde woman with a serious expression, she looked to be around the same age as them.
- Greengrass… You can't enter just like that, I'm dealing with something important here – Hermione complained and the blonde quickly approached her.
- I know what you're trying to do with Potter and I completely refuse the idea – The blonde surprised Harry and Hermione, and the green-eyed wizard couldn't help but feel touched.
He always thought the blonde hated him but seeing the way she was so passionate about defending him really made him change the opinion he had on her.
- I mean, in any other circumstances I'd agree with you but not this time, especially when we need him for the mission "M.I.L.F.S" – Daphne said shocking Harry who suddenly got back to reality, it seemed like she still didn't like him that much and she only wanted to use him and not in a good way.
- What? But that's a different case and there's also the problem that the people involved in this mess are people that he knows very well – Hermione said with a serious expression.
- That's why it will be easier for him to discover what they're up to, they wouldn't suspect anything – Daphne said calmly – Boss you need to remember that this could lead us into an international mess if we don't solve this soon – The blonde added with a serious expression.
And Hermione remained in silence for a few moments, the blonde had good points, but still, she couldn't help but feel bad for her friend, she knew he had good intentions even if he didn't act in the most ethical way, she knows that deep inside he's a good person, she can't help but want to give him a chance to prove himself.
- Harry… You can accept your paid suspension, or you can help us with this mess – Hermione told him with a serious expression.
Harry's eyes widened, he didn't expect Hermione to suggest him to help them with that, however, he had nothing better to do at home, and he knew that if he stopped working he was going to end up dying out of boredom.
- What's the mission all about? – Asked Harry and the two women stared at each other for a few moments before they nodded and took him into another room.
A few moments later, Harry was standing in a room with his eyes opened as wide as he could due to the sight that was in front of him, there was a big collage of moving pictures that included two women who were doing many things, they were at the beach, at a pool, at a bar, at a restaurant, walking while holding their hands on Diagon alley and many other places, but the thing that surprised him the most is not only that these two women seemed so unexpectedly close.
He felt it was weird because he knew these two women, it was a pair of blondes, and they looked more like a couple than something else which is why Harry is also surprised that the mission has to do with them.
- Apolline Delacour? Narcissa? – Harry asked surprised and Daphne and Hermione nodded at him – What's wrong with them? – Harry was shocked.
- There are some things you don't know about them, Harry… Aside from the obvious thing being Narcissa married with a death eater, we also have here Mrs. Delacour, the widow of a French wizard politician whose family made their wealth from wizard mercenaries used for revolutions, instigations, and many other things that require strong people… Or at least that's what the international Auror forces have about that family due to speculations – Hermione said with a serious expression and Harry gulped.
- Of course, it's not proven that they're planning something… But considering their backgrounds you can see it's not crazy for us to try to see what they're up to – Daphne said with a serious expression.
- What do you want me to do? – Asked Harry with some skepticism about this, but still, he wanted to know what his friends were up to.
- Harry… We know you are close to them, so we want you to infiltrate in their headquarters where we're convinced they're making their plans – Hermione started.
- Their headquarters being of course… Apolline's apartment where apparently they reunite every Friday – Daphne added context.
- Shit… Today's Friday! – Harry said with a shocked expression.
And the two women in front of him smirked, they knew they counted on him for this and they felt happy knowing that because if they don't hurry to solve this, the consequences could lead the country into a mess of international proportions, they needed to stop them as fast as they could.
