"Are you sure you want me to take this case?" Asked a girl with long pink hair and green eyes.

"Of course. After all you are one of the best detective out there." Said a guy with silver hair and dark grey eyes.

"I am flattered but I would have to say I am not that good."

"Nonsense. I know that you can do this. I trust you."

"Thank you for your trust Kakashi sensei. I will not disappoint you."

"Very well then I will leave everything to you, Sakura Haruno."

"I will try my best."

Sakura watched as Kakashi got up and left the room. She picked up the file that held the information on the case. The file had pictures of the victim, crime scene and the victim's information.

Name: Mary Williams

Age: 37

Time of death: 8-9 pm

Cause of death: Hit from a blunt object on the head

Marry Williams was found dead in a park near her house in 15 January 2023. There was no sign of struggle. A blunt of object was used to kill her. As of now the object is still missing. It is speculated that she died after a single hit on her head. From security cameras she can be seen entering the park at 7:49 pm while talking on the phone. Her phone is missing.

"There is not lot of information in this case." Sakura muttered.

"Sakura!" A voice said.

Sakura dropped the file at the sudden noise. She turned around to be faced to face with a blonde haired girl with blue eyes.

"Ino! You startled me." Sakura said picking up the file from the floor.

"Eh sorry. By the way what are you doing?"

"Reading the file for my new case."

"Wow you already got a new case! It has been like only a few days since you solved your last case."

"Honestly I don't think I am fit to be handling this case."

"Sakura you always underestimate yourself. You know you should give yourself some more credit. You're prodigy you know. I mean who can become a well know detective just at 16."

"I am 18."

"Yeah but you became a detective at the age of 16 and solved a case that was left unsolved for years."

"That was just luck."

"And there you go underestimating yourself again."

Sakura sighed and got up from the chair and started to walk ou of the room.

"Hey! Don't leave me!" Ino yelled before running after her.

"So what's the case about?"

"A girl got murdered in a park near her house. She was hit with a blunt object and died in single blow. The object is still missing. There are no signs of struggle."

"So the killer probably killed her from behind so that she won't be able to fight back."

"I have a complete opposite theory."

"Huh?"

"I feel like the victim knew the killer and they were probably meeting in the park. Of course your theory can be right too."

"Why do you think that?"

"Well I didn't really see a reason for her to go in the park at 7:49 pm other than to meet someone."

"Maybe she was taking a stroll."

"Look carefully at her clothes Ino."

Sakura handed Ino a picture of Marry entering the park. Ino looked carefully but still couldn't understand what Sakura was trying to show her.

"Huh? What about it? Everything seems normal to me." Ino said.

"Her clothes are too formal for a simple stroll. It's almost like she is meeting with someone. And who is the most likely person that she would meet?" Sakura asked.

"The killer."

"Correct."

"Amazing! I have been a detective longer than you and still couldn't see it but you did."

"It's nothing big Ino. You would have been able to see it too. I am not that good. Besides I could be wrong."

"Geez can you please give yourself some credit for once Sakura."

"I will if I solve the case."

"You will, so can you please-ICE CREAM!"

Sakura watched as Ino dashed towards the ice cream parlor. Sakura shook her head before walking towards her.

"Into Yamanaka. You're not a kid anymore you know." Sakura said.

"Does wanting to eat ice cream make me kid?" Into asked with a pout.

"No but your behavior does."

"Hmph!You're saying stupid stuff."

"Ino this is exactly the behavior I am talki-"

"Thank you!" Lucy yelled after being handed her ice cream.

Sakura closed her eyes and sighed but also smiled. Even tho Ino was childish at times, Sakura didn't mind infact she liked it after all Ino would always brighten up the mood with her childishness. Ino and Sakura have been friends a few days after Sakura became a detective. Ino has always been there for her and always cheered her up. Sakura was really grateful to have Info as a friend. Sakura chucked as Ino was eating ice cream rather in a messy way.

"You are such messy eater." Sakura said wiping the ice cream that was smeared here and there on her face with a tissue.

"Hehehe thank you."

"Hmm well I will leave now Ino, I have to go and investigate."

"Ah bye bye."

"Bye."

Sakura made her way to her car and got inside. Sakura headed to the hospital to see the body of Mary. She wanted to see the body before postmortem. The hospital was very large and had 12 floors. She went inside the hospital and went to talk to the receptionist.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The receptionist asked.

"Hello, I would like to see the body of marie Williams." Sakura replied.

"Sorry but we can't just let you see the body because you want to. Please leave."

"I am Sakura Haruno, the detective that is investigation Marry's murder."

"Can you prove it?"

"Of course." Sakura said before showing her detective batch to the receptionist.

"Ah. Please forgive me for not recognizing you."

"It's okay. Now can I see the body."

"Yeah. Of course."

After that Sakura was led to see the body of Mary send it the mark and visit to Marry's body. Sakura walked to where Marry's body was and moved the white cloth covering her and then she saw the lifeless body of Mary. Sakura pulled out gloves from her bag and wore them and bega examination the body there were no injuries in her body other than the one in her head. Iit was barely visible due to being covered with her hair.

"Can I see her clothes?" Sakura asked the nurse that led her here.

"Of course." The nurse said.

The nurse left to get Sakura asked for. Lia kept examining Marry's body yet she still couldn't find anything. The nurse soon came back with Marry's clothes and handed them to Sakura. Sakura examined the clothes. It was a yellow dress and long tights. Marry's dress went up to her knees and had long sleeves. It had stones in the neck area. She didn't find much and was very disappointed until she saw a yellow thread stuck in one of the stones. Sakura thought it was too thin to be a thread so she gently pulled it out. And she was right it was not a thread it was a hair, a blonde hair. She knew it couldn't be Marry's hair. Marry had ginger hair. Sakura smirked knowing she has finally found something and it was very valuable. She was certain it was the killer. She then pulled out a plastic zip lock back from her handbag and delicately put the hair in the zip lock back and put it back inside her handbag. She then handed the clothes back to the nurse and got inside her car before going to her next destination. She looked at the address of Marry's house and started the car. The drive to Marry long due to the traffic. When she finally reached her destination she saw a big mansion. She got out of the car and went towards the entrance and rang the bell. Some time later a guy in his late thirties opened the door whom she assumed was Marry's husband. He had messy dark brown hair which almost looked black and deep chocolate brown eyes. His eyes were red like he had been crying, there were also dark circles under his eyes indicating that he has not been sleeping well.

"Umm...how may I help you?" He asked.

"I am here to ask some questions regarding your wife's murder." Sakura replied.

"Listen kid, this is not the right ti-"

"I am not a kid. I am 18 years old."

"Uh huh a kid. Why do want know about my wife's murder?"

"Because I am detective that is handling the case."

"Nice joke."

Sakura sighed before pulling out her badge and held in the air showing him. No one ever took her seriously due to being too young so she always took her badge with her otherwise no one believes her.

"Let me introduce myself again. I am Sakura Haruno, the detective that will handling your wife's murder case."

His eyes widened. He knew that name. Well then again who didn't? Sakura Haruno was a well known detective, a prodigy who not only became a detective at the young age of 16 but also solved one of the hardest case that no one could solve for years. Not only that throughout the years she had solved the hardest cases bringing justice for the people. If she was the one handling his wife's case he knew that she will most definitely find out her murderer.

"I-I am sorry I didn't recognize you." The husband said.

"It's okay, it's not really a big deal." Sakura replied.

"Ah thanks."

"Sooo, can I come in?"

"Oh right! Sorry, please come in."

"Thank you." Sakura said before entering the house.

She looked around the house. The walls were painted white. There were pictures of him and his wife on the wall most of the pictures had three kids too which Sakura assumed were Marry and her husband's kid. No matter how she looked at the house it was nothing more than a normal house. There wasn't really anything suspicious about it. The husband led her to the living room.

"Please sit down." The husband said motioning towards the sofa.

"Thank you" Sakura said before taking a sit, the husband followed after her sitting across from her.

"Sorry for the Late introduction I am George Williams." Said George.

"I know it must a hard subject to talk about but I would be needing your help."

"I understand that. I want the culprit to get caught as soon as possible."

"Thank you Mr. Williams."

"So what do want to know?"

"Why did she leave that day?"

"I really don't know."

"Did you notice anything weird?"

"Come to think of it, Marry was really not a type of person to get ready to just go to the park. When she was ready I thought that she was going to meet someone."

'So I right after all.' Sakura thought.

"Anything else that you found weird on that day?"

"Not really."

"Oh."

"I am sorry to disappoint you."

"Don't worry you didn't disappoint me at all. That was a big help trust me."

"Thank you."

"Has she been acting weird before that day?"

"Two months ago for some reason Marry was very worried for quite a sometime actually."

"Oh do you know the reason?"

"Unfortunately I don't know. Whenever I tried to ask anything about it she would just brush me off saying it was nothing. After a few weeks she got a phone call and then all her worries disappeared."

"Hmm...interesting. Has Marry met anyone before that you found suspicious?"

"No. All her friends and acquaintance are ok."

"The dress she wore on the day of the murder. Was it new?"

"Yes it was new. It was the first time she ever wore that dress."

"I see. That's all I wanted to know." Sakura said before getting up George was quick to follow.

"Uh you don't want to know anything else?"

"No. What you said is enough."

"I am sorry I couldn't be much of help."

"Don't Say that Mr. Williams. You were a great help."

"Thank you Ms. Hathaway I hope you will find the killer as soon as possible."

"I will try my best." Sakura said before walking out of the house to her car.

She got inside the car and dialled a number, she put the call on loud speaker and then started to drive. There were 3 rings before the person she was calling picked up the call.

"Hello."

"Hey Sai, it's me."

"Sakura! How are you?"

"I am fine. What about you?"

"I am great! So why did you call?"

"I need you get me the call history of someone named Marry Williams."

"Oh the girl that died recently?"

"Mhm."

"I see. I'll get you the history as soon as I can."

"Also can you get me the names of every place she has been to in last two months."

"Of course."

"Thank you Sai."

"You're welcome." Saying that Sai hung up the call.

Sakura was determined to solve this case. It was not only because she was given this case but also because she wants do it for Mr. Williams and the kids. They had the right to know who did something like that to her. She was going to solve this case at all cost.

"I'll solve this case no matter what." Lia said with pure determination.
