102. Movie Night Date

Transformers Prime: A New Adventure.

Chapter 102: Movie Night Date.

In the base, Paywind was working on the monitors before he decided to leave the rest to Ratchet, even though Paywind's shift was over already.

Purple Gnat then asks, "Paywind? What's going on?"

Paywind answers, "Nothing much; just finishing up my monitor duty shift."

Purple Gnat then asks, "What would you like to do now?"

Paywind suggests, "How about we go to see a movie?"

In no time, Paywind and Purple Gnat drove to a drive-in movie theater, and Paywind then says, "The purpose of these drive-in theaters is to watch the films in the parking lot instead of in the movie theater building, particularly if a human was uncomfortable with being around dozens of people in one area."

Purple Gnat replies before asking, "I have a feeling I'm gonna love this. Have you been to a drive-in theater before?"

Paywind answers, "Only once, during the time my stepbrothers and stepsisters were in elementary school back on my Earth. It comes to me naturally when I think happy, bubbly good feeling thoughts."

Purple Gnat snorts at Paywind's wording, and he remarks, "I had a feeling you'd find that funny."

Purple Gnat replies, "Maybe a little."

Soon, the movie was starting, and the movie they selected was Jackie Chan's Police Story 1.

The twosome parks close to the screen for a good view, and Purple Gnat's holoform sat next to Paywind's holoform in his vehicle mode.

As soon as the credits rolled, Purple Gnat admitted that she rather loved the film.

She literally couldn't believe that a Chinese martial artist and police inspector was able to take down a Hong Kong drug lord even despite the difficulties and was able to clear his name from murder charges by a dirty cop.

Purple Gnat also had to admit that in her past life on Cybertron, she hated corrupt cops so much that before the Great War began, she was a Cyber-Ninja assassin who killed both criminals and corrupt cops before she was set on the right path by Optimus Prime himself.

But Purple Gnat will literally deny to anyone other than Paywind and their youngling children that she almost broke down in sorrowful tears when Jackie Chan's character was almost sentenced to life imprisonment, or even worse in Paywind's observation, execution since regardless of real life or metafictional existence, China still allows capital punishment for its criminals, traitors, intruders, and corrupt police officers. More that he won't say without diving into Earth politics he knows that the Autobots shouldn't get involved in unless there is no other option.

Soon, they headed back to base, and they had their first long kiss, but it was thankfully not too long as to clog or empty their intakes.

Purple Gnat says, "I love you, Paywind."

Paywind replies, "I love you too, Purple Gnat. Always and forever."

In their quarters, Fortressimus and the other Quadwal cluster Autobots knew that the events of Metal Attraction were coming up soon, and they decided to be ready as best as they could be, as much as they can afford on short notice.

(Author's notes: In the next chapter, Airachnid, Arcee, Bulkhead, and Fortressimus among others will fight Breakdown for the Polarity Gauntlet. But will the superior numbers be enough to win the fight for the Decepticon magnet? We'll find out soon.

Also, just so you know, I intend to feature some chapters that might be familiar to you all in this story. More I won't say for the convenience of spoilers.

Lastly, who wants to see Project Predacon being used by the Autobots? I know I do!
