In this story, after Danny's parents were killed when he was baby thanks to Vlad destroying their portal and causing it to explode as revenge for the accident that changed him into a halfa, the accident caused little baby Danny to become a halfa.

In order to pay back the Fentons for saving his life, Clockwork decided to raise Danny as his own son in the Ghost Zone. As the Master of Time, Clockwork was also in charge of ancient relics and when one is stolen and lost in the human world, he sends Danny to Earth to find it and bring it back. For months Danny had searched everywhere for it, until he reached the town of Amity Park.

I WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU

Sixteen-year-old Danny sat on the hill in the park, watching as the sun slowly began to set over the town of Amity Park. He had completed his mission for his adopted father Clockwork and had managed to find the Ancient Pocketwatch of Time. A device made by the Ancient Ghosts of the Ghost Zone that had the power to turn back time for the user.

However, a part of him didn't want to go back to the Ghost Zone. After spending so long on Earth and discovering all the wonders, he fell in love with it. Not only that, he also had fallen in love with a human girl named Sam Manson.

For sixteen years, Danny had lived in the Ghost Zone with his adopted father Clockwork. He had known that he had originally come from Earth and that his human parents were Jack and Maddie Fenton who were killed when he was a baby thanks to the evil halfa Vlad Masters AKA Vlad Plasmius. Because Clockwork was a good friend to Jack and Maddie after they had saved his life from the Guys In White, the Time Ghost adopted Danny and raised him as his own son.

Clockwork had taught him everything he knew about his powers and showed him how to use them for good. A few months ago, Vlad Plasmius had attacked their home in the Ghost Zone and stole the Ancient Pocketwatch of Time in an attempt to go back in time and take Danny instead to raise him to become evil like himself, however during his escape Danny managed to cut him off and fought with him to stop him. During the fight, the device had fallen through a random portal and was lost.

Before Plasmius could do anything, he was arrested by the Observants and was currently in their custody. Danny then volunteered to go to Earth and retrieve the device and bring it back, no matter how long it took him.

With the approval of his father and the Observants, Danny set out on his mission to find the Ancient Pocketwatch of Time. He had travelled all over the world trying to find it, but during his journey, Danny decided to also learn more about his original home and discovered so many wonderful things. When his travels finally took him to Amity Park, it was there he had met Sam Manson.

She was being attacked by Skulker, the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter. Danny intervened and saved her life, however during the attack Skulker used a device and electrocuted Danny hard until he was forced to change back into his human form.

After thanking Danny for saving her life, Danny told her his whole story. The two of them had become really good friends and Sam made a promise not to tell anyone his secret and also that she would help him find the pocket watch. As the two began to search Amity Park together over the past six weeks, Danny also saved the people from ghost attacks from evil ghosts that managed to escape from the Ghost Zone and became some kind of hero to the people of Amity Park.

Not only that Sam and Danny had become closer. So close that, they both had developed feelings for each other. Deep feelings.

After almost six weeks of searching the entire town, they had finally found it in the old Townsed House which was said to be haunted. Now that they had found it, he had grown sad. He knew that he had to return to the Ghost Zone, but...now he was going to leave Sam probably forever.

Speaking of Sam, she had finally found him at the park and sat down next to him.

"Danny, are you alright?" Sam asked. "You left after we found the watch."

"Yeah, I know. I'm glad we found the watch but...now it means I have to leave and head home back to the Ghost Zone." Danny said, still looking down. "The thing is...I don't think I fully want to leave."

"You want to stay?" Sam asked.

Danny nodded and then answered with a sigh, "Ever since I came to Earth, I have seen so many wonderful things."

"Can't you just ask your dad if you can stay on Earth?" Sam asked, for in her heart she didn't want Danny to leave either.

"It's not that simple Sam. I made a promise to my dad that I would bring the device back to him. I have to go back." Danny said in sadness. "The hardest part about this, is that I have to leave just when I found someone special."

Sam's eyes widened. She then asked, "Who?"

He looked deep into her eyes and answered, "You Sam. I have...feelings for you. I...I love you Sam and now...I don't want to hurt you."

"Oh Danny..." Sam said. "I love you too and no matter where you go...I will love you always."

Danny's eyes widened and then smiled lovingly at Sam who had shared the same feelings as he does.

Now we're joined at the heart

She smiled back and then grabbed his hands and held them in her own.

Though our moment may be gone

Danny lifted one of his hands and caressed her cheek gently as the two continued to look lovingly at each other.

DANNY

I'll be by your side whatever you do

The two hugged each other and then after they pulled apart, they decided that if this was definitely Danny's last time on Earth, they were going to make it last.

Other memories may fade

But the ones that we make

Are eternal as a star

Now I'm part of who you are

The two of them first took a long walk on the beach. Sam smirked as she reached down and splashed some water on Danny. He smirked back and then splashed some back at Sam. The two then chased each other up the beach, until they finally fell and laid down on the sandy shoreline, just staring at each tother.

DANNY

Because of the way you and I have touched one another

SAM AND DANNY

Doesn't end with goodbye

They both then got up and then Danny changed into his ghost form and held out his hand to Sam. She took it and then she held onto him tight as he took to the air and flew her high above in the clouds. Sam looked at both the view and Danny in awe.

They then landed on top of one of the buildings and watched as the sun continued to set over the town, giving a beautiful orange glow.

SAM AND DANNY

I will always be with you

Like a guardian angel, constant and true

The two then returned to the park and continued to hold each other close as they headed back to the hill.

The two then held each other's hands and just stared at each other.

DANNY

The two of them then leaned in close and shared a passionate kiss with each other. As the two kissed, a swirling portal opened up behind them. They pulled apart and then Danny sighed, knowing it was now time to return to the Ghost Zone.

Sam looked down in sadness and the two of them hugged each other for the last time. Danny walked towards the portal and before entering, he turned and said to her, "Sam, I love you. Now and forever."

"I love you too Danny. Now and forever." Sam said, tears falling from her eyes and with a heavy heart, Danny entered the portal and it closed.

A few weeks had gone by and Clockwork noticed Danny's sadness. Even visits from some of his friends such as Wulf, Youngblood and even Frostbite didn't cheer him up.

"He misses Earth." Pandora said as she came to Clockwork's home to visit.

"He misses her." Clockwork said.

Clockwork knew why his son was sad and now knew, it was time to allow his son to follow his own path no matter where it led him. Another two weeks went by and Danny continued to look down at the photo he had taken with Sam during his time in Amity Park. Suddenly Clockwork came up to him with several suitcases, a backpack full of school supplies, and a portable ghost portal.

"Dad, what's all this?" Danny asked his adoptive father.

"Sorry it took a while, but I had to make sure everything was ready for you." Clockwork began to explain. "I know you miss Sam and Earth and for the past sixteen years I have protected and raised you, but now I see that your path isn't just here in the Ghost Zone, but it's also on Earth. So I have set everything up, there's a house waiting for you in Amity Park, under an alias I have created and you are enrolled at Casper High."

Danny's eyes widened as he realised what Clockwork was saying. He stood up in shock, "Really? You mean..."

Clockwork nodded and smiled at his son before answering, "It's time for you to return to Earth. Go and live your life. You mean so much to me and I just want you to be happy, no matter where you decide to live. I will visit you in the human world, but I want you to visit home often."

Danny nodded and hugged his adopted father as he said, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you dad! I promise that I will visit you, for the Ghost Zone is also my home!"

Clockwork hugged his adopted son back and said, "I know and know this, I am so proud of you and so would your parents if they were still alive. No matter where you go or what you decide to do, you will always be my son."

"And you will always be my dad." Danny said back.

Sam sighed as she sat on the hill where she had said goodbye to Danny. She looked down at the photo she had taken with him during his time and continued to hope that she would see him again.

Suddenly she jumped in fright when a portal formed right in front of her. As soon as the brightness faded and the portal disappeared, Danny stood before her in his human form with everything Clockwork gave him.

"DANNY?!" Sam shouted in both shock and happiness.

They both hugged each other and he said, "I got a weekend past, for the rest of my life."

"You mean...you're going to live here on Earth?" Sam asked as they pulled apart.

Danny nodded and then said, "Dad said it was okay and set everything up for me and besides, I couldn't let you go back to school again without your boyfriend."

Sam laughed a little and then the two of them hugged each other once again, happy to be in each other's arms and that Danny was going to stay.

Sam and Danny then closed the gap and kissed each other passionately as the sun began to set over Amity Park.
