Under the light of the full moon, a lone figure stood and stared at the sky. Although he had lived long enough for see kingdoms rise and fall, the man in appearance couldn't have been more than nineteen. He was tall and slender, with fair skin and golden-yellow eyes. A dark blue crescent moon was on his forehead with a pair of purple stripes on each side of his face. Long silver hair reached down to his waist, and in the front it was only long enough to reach his eyebrows. But what was even more unique was his outfit. His kimono was mostly white, save for cherry blossom flower crests at the collars and ends of the sleeves. Tied around his waist was a long, flowing sash, which helped hold up armor with a spike pauldron on his left shoulder. His hakama was all white and gathered around the ankles, and on his feet were black ankle-high boots. To complete the look a long white fur was draped over his right shoulder and was long enough to reach his feet. A wooden staff with a male and female head at the top glided forward in the air, and a short, green-skinned demon with a reptilian nose and bulging yellow eyes, wearing a brown kimono and a black top hat, ran forward to catch it.

"My Lord, it is here! The tomb we've been searching for!" The imp exclaimed.

"You're sure?" The silver-haired male asked.

"Aye, milord. The staff has always led us without fail." The green demon said. "Allow me to prove it." He ran forward towards a stone shrine, but suddenly wolves appeared from behind the rocks around it. The green demon stopped. "Th-This isn't right at all. Milord, success! It is just as I said!" The man with silver hair walked forward and the smaller demon followed behind, muttering "N-N-Nice doggies…" He stopped in the middles of all the wolves, and they all growled, barking at him. He looked impassively at one of them, seeing the light from the moon glint off of one of its teeth.

"The fang. It is the fang I seek here. Once I possess it, I shall transform myself into a far greater power." The man with silver hair said, before chuckling. "Yet why must I explain myself? My power is what it is. I shall not always be limited thus. Can it be that I am afraid? Or is that I merely not know my own limits?" He raised his hand into the air, which began glowing with a bright green light. "Perhaps, I assume…" The wolves all jumped forward. He spun in a circle on one foot, and a whip of pure energy spun around him, trailing from the tips of his claws. The wolves hit it and were abruptly slashed apart, the whip cutting through them like steel. "The fang. It is the fang I seek here." He swung the whip one more time, blood spraying as he slaughtered. "Position the staff, Jaken."

"Yes, my lord." The green imp, Jaken, said as he runs up to the top of the structure. He pokes the bottom end of his staff on the stone and waits. the two heads on top of the staff have their eyes closed. One Female and one old man. The female head slowly rises and opens her eyes. Her mouth opens and shrieks. "This time it is the beauty who responds. Do not tell me that we've been misled?" He looked around and Sesshomaru turns around and leaves. "Milord! Wait for me! Your humble comes! Milord!" He jumps off the structure and runs after him.

A Pack of wolves run across a plain. A Flea with a human head, balding old man with large eyes sits on one of the wolves, gripping onto its fur.

"Dangerous, so dangerous! Just who is he anyway?! Hurry! I must report this without delay! To Master Inuyasha!" The flee demon said.

Sesshōmaru tells Jaken to find a boat while he walks off. Sesshōmaru demands a boat. Then they refuse and their leader attacks him, Sesshōmaru kills him and leaves the rest of his men to Jaken. Then they take a boat. On the way to another location, Jaken asked Sesshōmaru if they should consult Inuyasha, but Sesshōmaru states that he'd rather not think of his younger brother. He assumes that Inuyasha is still sealed to the tree for 50 years by Kikyō. Jaken says he heard from someone that the spell is broken and Inuyasha is free. He also states that the staff of two heads has been acting strange also and is sure it's because of him. He also states to his lord that speaking of the staff he was wondering, because he had been tossed in the water to remove the staff from his head due to his not being able to breath. So, they continue their search for Sesshōmaru and Inuyasha's father's grave.

Meanwhile, Kagome brings her bike and her first-aid kit so she can heal Inuyasha's wounds from their battle with Yura. Grace was standing in front of the tree with Cherel floating by her head while Inuyasha sits on the branch as Kagome arrived.

"First aid treatment? I don't need it. Go away!" Inuyasha said to Kagome.

"You do too. I was there! I saw you get hurt!" Kagome protested.

"Nothing doing!" Inuyasha said.

"Just come one down!" Kagome said sternly. He snorted, and Grace could see the frustration growing on her face. And then she said the two magic words. "Sit boy!" The Beads of Subjugation glowed and yanked Inuyasha down, face-planting him against the dirt. Inuyasha looked at Kagome angrily.

"What did you do that for?!" Inuyasha demanded. She got down in front of him and held the first-aid kit.

"Just stay still. When you're hurt like that you need medical treatment." Kagome said irritably.

"Oh, dear." Grace muttered to herself, and she hear Kaede approaching, along with several children. She gasped and looked in that direction, indeed seeing them rise up over the hill.

"If only Kagome and Inuyasha could try to like each other just like Inuyasha and Grace likie each other." Kaede said.

One of the children pointed and said, "They do like each other!" They all looked at them, seeing Kagome and Inuyasha on top of each other while Grace and Cherel were sweatdropping at them.

"Just take it off!" Kagome called.

"Beg me to!" Inuyasha said bitingly.

"Undress!" Kagome ordered.

"Avert ye eyes!" Kaede said, moving to block the sight from the children. Grace moved towards Kagome and Inuyasha.

"Alright, alright. That's enough, you two." Grace said, separating Kagome and Inuyasha from each together. "Kagome, there's no need for force."

"Well, he just wouldn't listen." Kagome said. Kaede cleared her throat.

"Mayhap ye like each other more than I first thought." Kaede said. "Grace and Inuyasha more perhaps." Grace and Inuyasha both looked at her confusedly, and then at each other before the coin dropped. Grace and Inuyasha both shouted and blushed in embarrassment while Cherel and Kagome giggled.

"Sorry!" Grace apologized, blushing still.

"No, I should be the one apologizing." Inuyasha said embarrassingly while blushing. He gently got Grace off him. "Also, I thought that you two would have realized by now that my body's special!" Exposing his shoulder to reveal that he was healed. Grace and Kagome gasped.

"Amazing!" Grace said.

"Incredible!" Cherel said.

"The wound! It's gone." Kagome said.

"For so great a wound to heal so quickly and leave no scar." Kaede commented.

"Just 'cause it would have killed a real human don't make it a big deal for someone like me." Inuyasha said. "Oww!" We looked to see a small, possibly inch-large figure attached to his chest. The tiny being looked up, exposing a gray mustache around a pointed mouth.

"Greetings and salutations." The flea said. Inuyasha slapped a hand against his chest and squashed the stranger, before pulling his hand back and looked at him.

"Well, if it ain't Myoga the Flea!" Inuyasha said.

"Flea?" Kagome asked, and Grace and Cherel nodded. Myoga floated down to the ground, where Inuyasha kneeled down.

"So, what did you come to see me about?" Inuyasha asked. Myoga rose back and up and regained his three-dimensional shape, looking up.

"Lord Inuyasha! I've come to-" Myoga began, before Kagome sprayed a can of insecticide on him. "Tell… you…" he finished, before falling back on the ground.

"What's that?" Inuyasha asked, looking at the can.

"Oops," Kagome said, while Grace sighed.

"From now on, let the talking flea speak before you get him with the bug spray." Grace advised.

"What do ya mean someone's trying to find my dad's tomb?" Inuyasha asked.

"Inuyasha, they say your father was a mighty demon, that the western lands were his domain." Kaede said.

"Can't say that I remember." Inuyasha said.

"Your father was a demon-of-demons. His blood was specially delicious and you, Master Inuyasha, have inherited that from him." Myoga explained.

"Wow. And what about his mom?" Kagome asked.

"She was beauty beyond compare. A true-" Myoga started to explain but is squished by Inuyasha's foot.

"Hey that wasn't very nice." Kagome said.

"Just drop it, okay!? She died along time ago." Inuyasha snapped and he leaves the hut.

"Inuyasha." Grace murmured, looking worried.

"He looks so upset and angry." Cherel said.

"Sorry about that. Did something I say make him upset?" Kagome asked.

"Aye...well..." Kaede trailed off.

"I'm sorry. All I did was ask him about his mother." Kagome said.

"Yes. Lord Inuyasha has always preferred not to speak of her." Myoga sighed.

"I'm going after him." Grace said, standing up and running out of the hut to go after Inuyasha. Inuyasha sits upon his tree starring into space rather angry. She found him and climbed up the tree then sat next to him. "Inuyasha."

"Following me huh?" Inuyasha asked.

"No. I just want to check on you. Are you okay?" Grace asked in concern.

"I didn't mean to lose my temper just talking about my mother brings back painful memories." Inuyasha confessed.

"I understand." Grace smiled sadly as she understood what he's saying. "Just like you, I was taken away from my family by a strange light that brought me here." Grace looked down in sadness. "Kagome has a way to see her family but for me, I don't know if I'll ever see them again." Inuyasha looked at her then blushed a little when he got an idea. He shyly wrapped his arm around her shoulders and brought her close to his side, hugging her as Grace blushed. "I-Inuyasha!"

"I-I thought hugging you will comfort you." Inuyasha stuttered while blushing in embarrassment and shyness. "J-Just know that I'll be by your side." Grace smiled, still blushing as she lay her head on his shoulder.

"Thank you, Inuyasha." Grace smiled, blushing.

"Hm." Inuyasha said, still blushing. Kagome appeared under them with her bike as Cherel was floating next to her. They smiled at them.

'His father was all demon but Inuyasha's only half. If one half is one thing, then his other half is...human? That's why!' Grace thought to herself. Recalls what Yura of the Hair had said.

~ Flashback ~

"Half demon, half power. I should've known. Disappointed? I bet you were planning to use this to become all demon." Yura smirked.

~ Flashback Ends ~

'Half-demon but half-human, too. That must be why he's always so...' Grace thought. 'His mom was human too.'

~ Flashback #2 ~

"Just drop it, okay!? She died a long time ago." Inuyasha snapped and he leaves the hut.

~ Flashback #2 Ends ~

"I wonder if he really misses her mother. Just like I missed my family." Grace murmured. A second later the wind began to blow hard.

"Get down!" Inuyasha yelled, and leaped down to drive both Grace, Cherel and Kagome against the ground.

"Ugh!" Kagome grunted with dirt on her face. "Inuyasha!" She glared at him.

"Is something wrong, Inuyasha?" Grace asked in concern.

"Something's coming. Can you feel it?" Inuyasha asked. Grace and Cherel nodded, and suddenly a creaking sound drew out attention towards the sky. A carriage with no horse moved out from behind the clouds, accompanied by several floating imp-like creatures.

"A carriage?" Kagome asked. The cover on the back shifted, revealing a woman with beautiful features and long flowing back hair. "There's a lady riding in it." Suddenly Inuyasha stood and walked forward. His expression was unlike any on his face Grace had seen.

"M-Mother…" Inuyasha muttered, looking shocked. Grace, Cherel and Kagome gasped at the word, looking back up at the woman in the flying carriage. She had long flowing back hair and kind brown eyes, with pale skin and wearing a robe of nobility.

"It is you. Inuyasha!" Inuyasha's mother calls, reaching towards him. But the imps tightened the chains around her, and she gasped in pain.

"Mother!" Inuyasha called, running up a little with Grace, Cherel and Kagome.

"Is it really your mother, Inuyasha?" Grace gasped.

"It can't be. Your mother's dead. You told us that yourself." Kagome reminded him. The carriage flew farther away, but then suddenly a huge, three-fingered arm reached down from the clouds and grabbed it, crushing the wooden planks like twigs. Two red eyes glowed within the clouds, and the rest of the demon moved forward to where we could see it. It had to be eighty feet tall, and its body was thin and muscular with leather brown skin. Besides the eyes it had long ash-gray hair, from which a pair of horns protruded. Inuyasha's mother was in its left hand.

"Oh, no! He's going to hurt your mom!" Grace exclaimed.

"No, he's not!" Inuyasha said, jumping into the air. Grace spun around and flipped backwards towards the background before it shines brightly. Pure magic energy covered her chest and arms, forming her glittery magenta long sleeved shirt as light purple fabric attached themselves to her lower arms. The pure magic energy covers her waist, forming her magenta glittery skirt with the light purple on it. A tiara appeared on top of her head. Then, it crawled up on her legs, forming her light purple boots that almost her reach her knees. Finally, she extended her arms out and pure energy came together on her back and formed her wings as she sprouted them and fluttered them to life, ending her transformation. She flew up in the air next to Inuyasha. Grace and Inuyasha had almost reached his mother when a torrent of fire shot out of nowhere, and they had to flip back down next to Kagome. "You missed!" He yelled.

"Jaken." Sesshomaru called.

"Yes, my lord?" Jaken replied nervously as he looked back at Sesshomaru.

"Once we're through, I want him dead." Sesshomaru ordered.

"Yes, my lord!" Jaken replied nervously.

"It is you. Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha snarled.

"Indeed. I've quite missed you as well, little brother." Sesshomaru smirked.

"He called you, his brother." Grace said.

"Does that mean he...?" Kagome trailed off.

"A mortal. How interesting." Sesshomaru said, looking at Kagome. He then looked at Grace. "But that woman...she seems to be a fairy. How rare."

"Yeah. What of it?" Kagome questioned.

"A fairy is rare for someone like you to be interested in. You're not even worthy to be in the presence of a fairy. I thought you would be into only humans. Others would be shamed. But with you, little brother, a girl beside the fairy girl quite suits you." Sesshomaru said as the huge demon raised the chain around Inuyasha's mother's neck higher, causing her to wince. "These human creatures, I should think you had enough of them or is it a taste from Father?" He questioned, smirking as Inuyasha growled at him.

'So, his mother is human then.' Grace thought to herself. She then clutches Inuyasha's sleeves tightly.

"That's not all, is it? You couldn't have come all this way just to tell me that." Inuyasha snapped, clutching his fist tightly.

"Be not a fool! I have no time to waste. The tomb of our father. Where must I seek it?" Sesshomaru scoffed.

"Our father's tomb!? Why ask me!?" Inuyasha interrogated him.

"'Seeing but never seen. Protected but never known to its protector.' No other clues are known." Sesshomaru explained.

"I got no idea what you're talking about! Besides, even if I did, there's no way I'd tell you!" Inuyasha said, glaring and pointing at him.

"I see. Then you leave me no choice but to let your mother's suffering convince you." Sesshomaru said. He summoned a whip of energy and lashed the larger demon on the side of the head, causing it to growl before tightening its grip on Inuyasha's mother.

"Inuyasha!" Grace said, looking worried as Inuyasha looked at her before looking back at Sesshomaru.

"Nice try, jerk! She's been dead for years and we both know it! Like I'd really fall for a stupid trick like that!" Inuyasha said, smirking smugly. Sesshomaru smiled.

"A trick, is it?" Sesshomaru asked, smiling.

"You're who's stupid. Recalling spirits from the netherworld is a simple task if you are Lord Sesshomaru. He was even so kind as to give her flesh. And yet her own son would seek to deny it. How pitiful to be mother to someone such as you!" Jaken said tauntingly. Inuyasha's expression changed from anger to shock and Grace looked at him in worry. Inuyasha's mother looked down from here she was being held and smiled.

"Inuyasha!" Inuyasha's mother said.

'Then maybe...it is true!' Inuyasha thought as Grace looked at him.

"I have come back, Inuyasha. Back from the world of the dead." Inuyasha's mother, Izayoi, said. Little Demon imps tug at the chains around her and she faints from the pain.

"Enough!" Grace shouted as she flew up in the air.

"Stop hurting her!" Inuyasha yelled, and jumped forward. "Iron Reaver Soul Stealer!" he called and he slashed straight through the demon's arm, chopping the hand off at the wrist. The demon growls in pain.

"Purifying Cushion!" Grace shouted, releasing light magenta and white fairy dust wave underneath Izayoi and gently land her on the ground. The Little Demons which were tugging at Inuyasha's mother flee once they land on the ground.

"Oh, no!" Kagome gasped as she ran to Izayoi while Grace landed next to her.

"Are you okay!?" Grace asked, looking at Inuyasha's mother, Izayoi.

"It looks like she fainted." Cherel said.

"Grace, Cherel, Kagome, you three and her get out of here!" Inuyasha said.

"I think not." Sesshoma said as he whips the demon again, which growls in pain defencelessly. "And you, you are worthless!" Jumping up and slashing his whip across the huge demon's face twice. It roared in pain again. The demon growled and lunged forward with its remaining arm and hand towards Grace, Cherel, Ksgome and Inuyasha's mother, causing Grace, Cherel and Kagome to gasp in fear.

"Grace! Mother!" Inuyasha shouted as he run towards them. Izayoi then opened her eyes and saw him.

"Inuyasha!" Izayoi said. Inuyasha blocks the demon's hand from his mother and the hand stabs into his back instead.

"No, Inuyasha!" Grace shouted in horror while Cherel, Izayoi and Kagome gasps in horror. Izayoi holds out a white glowing orb in her hand, which enlarges and engulfs Inuyasha, Grace, Cherel, Kagome and Inuyasha's mother. Sesshomaru shields his face from the bright light. When the bright light stops, Inuyasha, Grace, Cherel, his mother and Kagome are gone. Once they were gone, Sesshomaru looked down.

"What a bother." Sesshomaru said.

"Aye, milord. And yet it goes so well." Jaken said. "Please, milord. Leave everything to me."

"This scheme of yours in beneath me. Should it fail, you will die." Sesshomaru said calmly. Jaken's eyes widened and he fell back, nodding.

"A-As you will." Jaken agreed.

~Mysterious World~

Grace is lying down beside Cherel and Kagome when she woke up, she was amazed at what she saw before her. The place they were at was a garden filled with light, grass-green hills and flowers that sloped down to a lily covered pond. Kagome was a little ways away from me and across the pond was Inuyasha. Grace walked over to Inuyasha and shook him. Inuyasha woke up and stood, looking around.

"Where are we?" Inuyasha thought aloud. His mother walked forward, wearing a different robe but still one of nobility.

"At the border of the spirit world. I must be crossing over at very soon." Izayoi said.

"Crossing over? Oh yeah, right… it happened so long ago I keep forgetting your dead." Inuyasha said, scratching behind his ear.

"And this woman must be your friend, right?" Izayoi asked, looking at Grace.

"Oh...yeah." Inuyasha said, nodding.

"It's very nice to meet you, Inuyasha's mother. I'm Grace." Grace smiled, bowing to Izayoi as a greeting. "But can't you stay a little longer? I'm sure that you and Inuyasha have a lot to catch up on." Izayoi smiled a little at her. They walked together for a while.

"I wish I could but I'm afraid I can't. Inuyasha. You...You have become a man. Haven't you?" Izayoi asked.

"Well yeah. I mean, when you died I guess I was just still a kid, right?" Inuyasha said.

"Such terrible, violent days. And you all alone, with no one to care for you. How can you ever forgive me?" Izayoi said guilty and sadly. Grace walked towards her and grabbed her hands. "Grace?"

"Please don't be sad, Inuyasha's mother." Grace smiled warmly.

"Yeah. It weren't that big of a deal. I mean..." Inuyasha said.

"That's right. Inuyasha will never blame you for what to him in the past. He still misses you and thinks about you." Grace smiled.

"Hey! Don't make sound so mushy!" Inuyasha protested as Grace giggled. Izayoi smiled at them.

"Inuyasha…Grace..." Izayoi said softly as Inuyasha and Grace turned to look at her, and the three of them stared at each other in silence for a long while. Kagome started to wake up and saw them.

'Inuyasha's mother. She's okay.' Kagome thought. She was about to get up but she felt something pinning her down. 'Ugh. I...I can't move. Egh. I'm paralyzed.' She looked at Cherel and noticed she can't move either. She then looks at Grace, Inuyasha and his mother and notices her reflection in the pond. She gasped. 'Her face! No reflection.' She tried to called out to him. 'Inuyash-! Inu-! My voice! I can't speak!' Izayoi walked closer to Inuyasha's side.

"Mother?" Inuyasha asked.

"Is there something's wrong, Inuyasha's mother?" Grace asked in concern.

"Partings are never easy. Wouldn't you agree?" Izayoi asked, looking at Inuyasha.

"I..." Inuyasha trailed off, looking away as Grace looked sadly at him. She grabbed his hand, making Inuyasha look at her.

"It's true that partings are never easy but the love and memory of our loved ones will never go away." Grace smiled. "Just like your love and memory for Inuyasha and Inuyasha's love and memory for you, Inuyasha's mother, will never die and go away."

"Grace..." Inuyasha murmured, looking at her.

"You're very sweet and kind, Grace." Izayoi smiled softly.

'Inuyasha! Grace! Snap out of it! She doesn't have a face! Whoever she is, she's not Inuyasha's mother!' Kagome thought.
