Attack on Titan
Attack on Paradis: Now the World Knows
Because the airships from Liberio had been out of the range of the attack that ravaged the city, the military personnel aboard each vessel fled to allied bases away from where the creature had been going, and the news of the attack had spread like a wildfire. This attack had destabilized the power structure and made Marley look like a laughingstock due to their reliance on the Titans that once plagued the world, but when the idea of this creature coming to the territories of other nations was brought up, the laughter died…because the possibility of it showing up was more than true. The handful of Eldians pocketed in these countries all had the same information regarding this massive beast from whoever possessed the Founding Titan, trying to warn them of what was to come, and this attack on Liberio had only occurred five days ago, meaning that once Godzilla was done with Marley, it would attack the next nation…and then the next nation…and the one after…until there was nothing left.
"If this creature has a vendetta against the Eldians, why not just kill the Eldians and be done with it?" One of the allied representatives from the other nations in the coalition suggested as a means to deal with this creature.
"Because that won't keep it away from any of your countries," went Pieck; the Panzer Unit and Magath had reached the neighboring nation of Sunberk two days ago and were at this meeting between the few remaining allies present. "It's a creature of death and destruction that our Eldian ancestors tried to kill along with the rest of its kind. Maybe it was over a thousand years ago, and this thing had managed to survive this long in hiding before returning and making its intentions known. Even if you got rid of all the Eldians, it won't stop until your homes are ravaged. That's how far its vendetta goes."
"And you believe this Eldian, Magath?" A second representative asks.
"We tried everything we had available against it," Magath states, "and nothing stopped it."

Even though he managed to survive, Zeke had failed to save anyone within Liberio. His grandparents, comrades, subordinates, they were all dead. The monster that attacked the city had reduced it all to a heaping pile of burning rubble. Any hope of facing it and defeating had to lie in a greater number of forces from other parts of the world, including Paradis Island. If the Founding Titan's power was that great, then all Zeke would need to do is convince the monarchy to join forces with what remained of Marley and create a great Titan army…or unleash the Rumbling upon it.
Not even those that stayed by the water were spared, he thought as he saw some corpses floating in the bay; he speculated that the creature hadn't returned to the ocean, but didn't expect for there to be casualties by the water like earlier when it attacked the ships. Godzilla. Sounds more like a devil swollen with hatred. Except it's against Eldians, just like the rest of the world, only more potent and unbound.
He took a knife and cut his left palm; his new objective was to swim to Paradis and seek aid there. If the thirteen-year curse of death was no longer a factor in how the power of the Titans worked, then he could remain in his Beast Titan form for longer. Maybe not as long as Pieck could with her Cart Titan, but just enough to make the crossing between landmasses.
Blast! An explosion of light and heat came…and a giant monkey of sorts waded into the water and began swimming out to sea.

Marley's other enemies from the east, a coalition of small nations banding together to defend against Marley's forces, the Mid-East Alliance, had heard of their global predicament because of a handful of Eldians in their numbers that had been granted such knowledge by the Founding Titan…and didn't think that they could trust Marley just because they experienced a humiliating defeat with fewer than seven of their precious Titan resources. They felt that they now had the upper hand in terms of weapons development and would be able to deal with this Godzilla if it ever showed up in their domains. However, the Eldians in their captivities weren't all that confident that any one nation or even a coalition of nations, no matter how advanced their weapons were, no matter what their tactics or drives were, could face this creature if it was able to decimate Paradis and eradicate a city in Marley. If they were to have any chance of survival, they needed to work together.
"We don't know what this creature is truly capable of," said of the women to the military officials, "and the fact that we don't know should give you pause to consider that this monster is more dangerous than you think."
"It's bigger than the Colossal Titan," said a man once before he was thrown into a cell. "Excluding the stories about the first Titan, no other Titan ever exceeded sixty meters. No other creature in existence exceeded sixty meters! This thing is a monolith of brutality!"
But the Mid-East Alliance had in their possession weapons that would make Marley and their allies think twice about attacking them if the chance ever came. They had shells that could penetrate any known material, worthy to be called armor-piercing shells, and they were believed to be able to penetrate the Armored Titan. A few rounds were even likely to devastate the Colossal Titan if fired from a safe distance. If this Godzilla appeared, they would kill it.
"…Do you really think this Godzilla is that big?"
"…Is it really able to shatter the streets just by walking around?"
"…I heard it could unleash light from its mouth and back."
"…I'm hearing that it has a hide as thick as a mountain."
"…It can look into your soul and cast its judgment upon you…"
Somehow, people were starting to question the validity of this creature they hadn't seen yet or will ever see. Whether or not they would ever see it remains to be seen, but while most disregarded the existence of this animal, some were starting to wonder if such a creature would make its presence known.
If such a creature could defeat Titans, thought a general in the naval reserves as he looked out at the ocean, and more than a dozen or so, without being harmed, such an animal would give us a reason to be fearful of forces beyond our comprehension.
But even as he looked at the simplicity of the calm ocean, the thought persisted in the back of his mind. That somewhere deep beneath the calmness, a storm was brewing…and it would not be silenced by anyone.

It wasn't a time for the remaining people of Paradis to argue over who was right or wrong about what the people from generations passed did to condemn them to such a fate. It was the time to try and rebuild their home and adjust to what was going on around them. The power of the Titans was still in their possession, and it was time to put it to use to help instead of harm, to build instead of destroy. For ages, the power their ancestors possessed had been exploited for malevolent purposes, but it was a two-sided coin; the power had its negatives, but it also possessed its positives, and it was time to prove it once more.
Frieda, no longer willing to hide behind the false monarchy, requested the aid of several volunteers…and turned them into Titans to help with the rebuilding efforts, carrying farmers to where Walls Rose and Maria once stood. The remaining Titans within Wall Sina awakened and were spread out further, expanding the length of land for the people to use; if Frieda had to, only one wall would be built to replace the two that fell to Godzilla, but not a extensive like the previous ones. If a census could be taken, they would do all that they could to make sure that the dead would be remembered, for better or worse. No matter how long it took them now, they needed to rebuild and adapt, to better prepare for when Godzilla returned.
"I never thought I'd see something like this," went Grisha to Frieda as they looked at the cleaning efforts in front of them. "People and Titans working together."
"It's only because I did what the previous rulers never did," she explained to him. "Unlike the previous holders, who could turn Subjects of Ymir into Titans for the purpose of conquering their would-be enemies, I let the volunteers keep their minds so that they can make their own decisions about how to aid in the work efforts. It's more efficient when everyone is able to work together and in sync than it is to give basic instructions over advanced ones. Also, our ancestors abused the power with Ymir Fritz; they made her do everything strenuous while refining the work afterwards with leisure on their part. Nobody is allowed to be lazy in this; everyone has to do their part in rebuilding."
"What will you do with the recovered Titan powers?"
"Nothing right now. There can't be a repeat of what happened when those powers were misused violently. For the time being, I'd rather focus on rebuilding here."
Grisha couldn't argue with that. Even if he wanted to suggest that using the powers to help fight back against Godzilla, there was little chance of victory. Even if the Attack Titan's height was increased to forty-five meters, it didn't help with mobility and speed being altered. He just hoped that somewhere out in the world, someone could do something to stop Godzilla from destroying everything in its quest for vengeance.

"…Please, you have to understand!" Magath tried to reason with the leaders of the Mid-East Alliance. "It's only a matter of when that creature comes here that you'll realize that by working together can we have a better chance at beating it!"
"Yet, this creature has it out for the Eldian people," one of them states. "The way it sounds, if we get rid of them, it won't come here."
"It was their ancestors that were at fault before the Great Titan War!" Magath tells them. "We can't keep doing this, blaming people for what happened lifetimes ago. Nobody asked for this. Nobody asked for this monster to attack Marley. If anyone knew of the devastation it would cause, they wouldn't ask for it. If we keep holding the Eldians responsible for these vile acts that happened centuries ago, where does it end? Where will it end?"
"Why the sudden shift from exploiting Eldians to advocating for them?" Another leader questions. "In the past, you were among the Marleyans that only saw them as an expendable resource in warfare against past enemies. Now the sudden shift has you advocating for them to no longer be scapegoated for all the wrongs that have befallen us over the years when it was these Eldians that drove other people of other nations into extinction."
"The men and women responsible have been dead for centuries."
"Still, their descendants should answer for their crimes. Bloodshed demands for bloodshed."
Before Magath could say anything else to try and implore these people to see reason and work together against a greater threat, three men burst into the room.
"It's here!" One of them yelled. "The monster! It's here!"
"What about the ships we had stationed out at…" One of the leaders tried to question.
"Gone! It wiped them all out!" The second of the three cut him off.
"Two-hundred-fifty ships?!"
"It took them out in five minutes!" The third man revealed, and the ground started to shake.
"Oh, no," Magath expresses.

People were forced to abandon their homes when they saw the monstrous strength of the creature they recently learned of from the Eldians that were informed. The screams of panic and dread as the ground shook and fractured from the beast's powerful footsteps. Some people thought that it was a fabrication, nothing more than a made-up story. Others thought it was just an intimidation tactic being employed by Marley or Paradis to make them feel helpless, another way to make the threat of the Rumbling seem more real. The only problem now was that the threat was not the Rumbling…but was a brutal happening due to its threat it was carrying out against the people. Even if Godzilla was targeting the Eldians, it didn't seem to care that it was endangering other people; wherever it stepped and thrashed its tail around, people were either injured or killed.
"That's the monster? That's Godzilla?" One of the Mid-East Alliance leaders asked Magath as the Panzer Unit was getting ready to open fire against the creature.
"Yeah!" He tells him. "Do you believe us now?!"
"How can a creature like this exist?"
"I've been wondering that for myself ever since I saw it attack Liberio. It's the biggest animal I've ever seen. Nothing else comes even less than half as close to it. It's…a god among the animals. A god in general."
"And Eldians tried to kill it long ago? Makes perfect sense why it would want to kill them. But to kill us with them?"
"It doesn't care about anyone else from other ethnic groups," went Pieck as the Panzer Unit was ready to fight. "If it's driven by vengeance, nothing and nobody else is a priority to it. All that matters to it is that it kills as many Eldians as possible, wherever they may be in the world, even if it means it has to destroy the world in the process."
"Do you have any weapons that can harm it?" Magath asks.
"Weapons we had developed to take on the Armored Titan."
"That'll do."

After the devastation that ruined much of the island grounds, Grisha's skills as a doctor became more important than they were before the attack by Godzilla. Several workers reported feeling sick for some reason and were starting to look paler than usual. After running tests for several hours, he concluded that they were suffering from a form of exposure whatever Godzilla left behind when it came and left. But a little rest and food would help them to recover; he had felt the same symptoms, but they were less than half as strong as the symptoms the workers had experienced, probably because he possessed the power of the Titans.
If Frieda used her power to immunize the people, that would be another issue resolved for the time being, but there was only so much she could do with the Founding Titan.
"Exposure?" She asks Grisha when he shared what he discovered with her.
"It's likely Godzilla comes from an environment that is much more hazardous than anyplace we know of. Maybe poisonous, but unlike human beings, it has adapted to thriving in harsh conditions and is more suited to environments that we can't survive in without aid or equipment. And given the power this monster possesses, part of its ability to survive likely stems from Colossal Titan's power."
"How so?"
"The Colossal Titan demonstrates explosive energy every time it transforms. It releases intense heat and air frictions that can harm people and destroy an expanse of land around it. If it was used to harm Godzilla, and it adapted as a result over time, then it's likely that it can't be harmed by anything less powerful than what almost killed it."
"So then…even multiple explosions of many Titans as large as the Colossal Titan would be ineffective against it?"
"In theory…yes. This creature is the pinnacle of survival and adaptation. For it to continue surviving…it won't hesitate to kill anything or anyone that may be a threat to its existence."
"This is worse than what I originally saw befall the world. The Rumbling, the world losing eighty percent of its population…and then…the end of all things. That's as far as the Founding Titan saw…and I hated every second of it all. Now…there's nothing to see beyond what I see every time I try to see something hopeful."
"I hated the future my son showed me before Godzilla appeared. Any future where there is mass genocide and global destruction is a future I would do anything to prevent. But this is… I don't know which fate is worse than the other because they're both terrible."
"Personally, I hated the Rumbling because it didn't resolve anything that could've been resolved through years of peaceful negotiations and not conflicts. While this fate is just as worse, it's less horrible due to the fact that it's just one creature and not a legion of monsters. It can attack anywhere it chooses and its power is more dangerous. I don't wish this suffering on anyone, whether they wronged me or not. If I could change the past so that this creature never attacks, I would. Truly, I would."
"Why can't you?"
"Because she won't allow it."
"Who won't allow it?"
"Ymir Fritz. Even when she's no longer among us, she still has a will of her own to choose what will and what won't be, but Godzilla is beyond her comprehension; she has never encountered a creature that may have been older than mankind and outside her sphere of influence. The mere fact that this creature is here and alive is a puzzle to her because she can't understand how this is so. Not only that, but the mere fact that she could never see what it would do or why it would do so. She can't see its actions or predict its overall consequences because it exists outside her influence, like a puzzle piece belonging to another puzzle it doesn't go together with. Or a three or flower that doesn't belong in a forest or garden, raising confusion to why it's even there."
Grisha was perplexed by this revelation. Because of Godzilla's existence and its vendetta against the Eldians, Ymir Fritz's spirit was unwilling to let the power of the Titans be manipulated to undo the vile history that connected her people, her descendants, to this great beast. They could use the power to do other things, but she wouldn't permit the change in history, even if that was the better alternative than what they were dealing with right now. Even if this wasn't the future they had feared because of the misuse of Titan power, it was a future they were dealt by Godzilla's hatred towards them, and it wouldn't be appeased until they were all dead. This was the grim vow promised by Godzilla.
But in the end, Frieda sent out a silent scream to immunize the Eldians of Paradis from the exposure given off by Godzilla when it was here, along with the hope that if the Eldians elsewhere were immunized from the same exposure, then their blood could be used to help the people from other nations boost their immunity, even if only temporarily. Every reason behind what she was doing now stemmed from the future she still saw. That of Historia living past this horrid time. She would do all in her power to protect her future.

It was a distraction at best, fighting Godzilla whilst the civilians escaped from the city. The Mid-East Alliance's armor-piercing armaments weren't having any effect of Godzilla at all! Its hide was far more durable than what they had expected from the Armored Titan, and it looked like each time it was hit, it looked like it was hurt for just a moment before looking like it hadn't been harmed at all. Their allied ships from two other nations opened fire at sea towards its back, but only managed to take off one of its dorsal fins, only causing minor blood loss.
"Rrrrrrrrraaaurgh!" Godzilla roars as it turns to face the ships, its back glowing as its remaining dorsal fins began to jut outward from its back.
"No," Magath gasps, realizing what it was going to.
"They're dead," went Pieck as she and the Panzer Unit had run out of ammunition again.
Snap! Godzilla's dorsal fins slammed back into its back as it unleashed that stream of blue light from its mouth at the ships.
Flash! A large burst of light emanated from where the allied ships were…followed by a mushroom cloud explosion…and a shockwave that shattered the buildings closest to the water.
"Rrrrraaugh!" Godzilla roared again as the ships were no more than a memory that would be forgotten about. "Rrrrraurgh!"
To be continued…
A/N: Now the world knows what they're up against and must either band together or fall at random. More revelations and more troubles than what was expected, and Godzilla has become a deviation from all that most can't even comprehend.
