"Hey!" Time responded to Darkness casually, like this was an everyday event.

"Time?" Darkness still confused and disoriented asked again.

"You already said that." Time rolled her eyes, getting slightly annoyed at the repeated question.

"You remembered?"

"Wasn't much to remember, I slept longer than any of you." Time walked around, tapping the ground as if testing it.

Klaus's group finally reached them, adrenaline allowing them to run for longer than they would have been able to otherwise. The group wasn't sure what to do when the reached the rest of them, Scarlet was an entirely different person and even Ray didn't dare to speak.

"What about your other personality? What happened to her?" Time stopped and looked at Darkness confused looked until her eyes finally had a glint of understanding.

"Oh, her, I don't remember anything from the time when I was a human, but I'm sure the memories will start coming back to me at some point." Time shrugged, like it was nothing.

Darkness finally regained her composure and had her indifferent facial feature return to her. "I wouldn't be so indifferent if I were you, as a human you were an entirely different person, you might hate what decisions you were making until now."

Time's face suddenly took on a serious look. "I can feel your remaining magic in me, you used my body as a vessel, so you meant to say, decisions which you made for me." Time's eyes dangerously narrowed as if challenging Darkness.

Darkness welcomed the challenge, not weakening her gaze. "I didn't make any major decisions for you, unless you mean keeping you alive was a mistake on my part." The tension was heavy, but as suddenly as it appeared it disappeared.

"I'm just messing with you, thanks though." Time grinned, her eyes on the other hand didn't smile.

"So, what is going on?" Ray finally spoke up, unsure of what else to say.

"Nothing, lets go back." Darkness answered and started walking back.

{...}

The whole road back everyone was silent, Elementalers disappeared soon after they realised who Time was. Ray tried to talk to Darkness a few times, but he never managed to even utter a sound.

Klaus felt heavy nervousness as he looked at Scarlet, he could just by looking at her tell that it wasn't the girl he met, she turned to look at him and Klaus as fast as he could averted his gaze and hoped she didn't see him stare at her.

When they finally reached the school, they thought an eternity had passed, Ray disappeared into the school, no one bothered to ask him why he was rushing away.

"You will need to lead your life like normal for your last day here." Darkness seemed like she was speaking to air.

"Are you hoping some memories will come back?" Time looked at the school that reminder her more of a castle than a school.

"You come from a small village, both of your parents are dead." Everyone finally realised that she's giving Time information about her, maybe deep down she wanted old Scarlet back as well.

"Go figures. What were they like when they were alive?"

"I don't know, even if one of them remained alive after you were born, I never interacted with them."

Both of them stayed silent, then Time spoke about. "So, who are the people following us?" Time pointed her thumb at the guys.

Darkness showed clear confusion on her face, they were worried she also had lost her memory. "How about we introduce them to you at a better time?" Time looked at her confused, but didn't object.

"I'll show you around the campus, but I think-" Darkness grabbed Amelia by her shoulder and forced her to stand besides her. "I think Amelia should show you to your dorm room, while I handle business here."

"Isn't that a bit weird now? What business could you have?"

Darkness looked around, trying to find someone to grab until she changed her mind. "I have business with Ray." Time raised hey eyebrow, then her eyes glinted in a knowing way.

"Sure, if you say so." She looked at Amelia and smiled, the most kind smile she has smiled until now. "So, Amelia, was it? Take me to my dorm room." She extended her hands in a random direction, Amelia a bit confused, still complied.

"The dorm rooms are in the opposite direction." Time released her arms and shook her head.

"Just start walking." Amelia a bit scared started walking.

When Darkness no longer could see the two she turned towards Klaus. "Do not and I mean it, do not under any circumstances tell her what you guys used to be." Klaus eyes saddened, not by a lot, but still visibly.

"Why?"

"Time has never been a partner kind of person, this isn't Scarlet, this is Time and Time doesn't follow human laws, relationships with humans disgust her, I spent most of my time with her, she liked my isolation, in her eyes I was the only person who understood her." Darkness looked away, as if remembering something that was deeply hidden in her memory, Klaus refused to look away.

"And did you understand her?" Klaus swallowed, his sadness intensifying.

"I did, I understood her so well, that when she disappeared, it was a huge loss." Darkness looked around and then said. "I will be back shortly, when Amelia and Time come back, you guys can introduce each other, but never say she is dating a human."

Darkness walked away, leaving the group in their own thoughts.

{...}

Darkness found Ray in the judgement hall, he looked at scales that stood on its spot like it never moved. "I assume this is the end." He looked up, to gaze at the ceiling.

"End to what?" Darkness walked closer to him, looking at the ceiling with him.

"I will be leaving, I'll be taking my men with me, I will assume I won't see you for another century."

"Are you trying to tell me you'll miss me?" Darkness looked at Ray, who was already looking at her.

"You could say so." Ray smiled. "But I would say my father misses you more than I miss you to be fair."

"If he misses me that badly, I should drop in and visit him, seems like he's the only one waiting for me at home." Ray was walking away, he laughed to himself, he didn't see it, but he could feel her slightly smiling. Ray opened the door stopped and looked at Darkness, at her back. "I love you Sotiria, come home soon."

He closed the door after himself, not waiting for Darkness's response. "What a romantic fool."

"You could have responded to him." Scales echoed to her response.

"I don't need to, he already knows the answer."

Darkness walked out of the room, she could feel Rays presence lessen as further he went. She walked to the rest of the group, Amelia and Time were still not back.
