Chosen Pokémon: Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Buizel, Torkoal, Lucario, Gengar, Annihilape, Florges, Dusk Lycanroc, Beartic, Krookodile, Gible
It was the final flight to be meeting the league as it was now Leon's turn in showing Lincoln the Gym Leaders of the Galar region.
"Now anyways, I hope you and the leaders become good mates after this is over, Ash." Leon spoke from his seat in the plane.
"Me too. But I do know about Bea and Raihan. Bea owes me a damn rematch and I am eager to see how strong Raihan is if that match you had says something." Ash replied, eager to battle those two trainers.
"Yep. Raihan could've been the champion of another region, with his skill of using sandstorms in battle." Leon replied.
"YEah, that's something I don't get. If he's as strong as you, how come he didn't become a champion somewhere else?" Ash asked, Pikachu peeking up in curiosity.
"Sheer pride. Before he can become champion, he wants to beat me first. We were old rivals back in the days where we strapped the old bootstraps and travelled all over Galar. We had a lot of battles and I beat him each time. Those were the days." he sighed in nostalgia.
"Yep. Nothing better than travelling the region with your friends by your side." Ash said with a smile.
"Now anyways, I do want to know more about those journeys you took." Leon spoke eagerly.
Soon the ride over was filled with Ash and Leon talking about the various journeys they took.
Inside the giant Gym in Hammerlocke, the ten Gym Leaders were waiting for their wayward champion.
"Grrr…where is he?!" A 25-year-old man with black skin, fangs, teal eyes and black hair, covered by a hoodie designed like a dragon's underbelly, blue shorts and black and orange converses said with a scowl on his face as he paced in the gym.
"Calm down, Raihan. He's probably lost again." An 77-year-old with wrinkly skin, a crooked nose, white hair and blue eyes, dressed in a pink and blue dress plus a fluffy scarf around her neck, a blue hat with black rings on her head, white crocks plus was holding an umbrella cackled.
"Opal's right. Give him time." Another older voice spoke. He was someone in his 40 with short, salt-and-pepper hair and stern, black eyes, dressed in a red t-shirt with flame decals, white shorts and red boots.
"Say Nessa, what do ya'll think this champion is like?" A giant 20-year-old man with curly pink hair and beady green eyes with a beige sunhat on his head, a green scarf, white T-shirt and green shorts plus green gardening boots, who was talking to a 19-year-old black woman with long, black hair with blue streaks and blue eyes. Her body was curvy and toned like a swimmer, dressed in a white and blue crop, blue shorts and sandals with large hoop earrings
"Dunno Milo." she said with a shrug.
"Whoever it is, he or she is taking our sweet time." A stern voice spoke. This came from a 19-year-old girl with wild grey hair, held by a black headband and grey eyes plus bronze skin, dressed in a black undershirt with a white crop on top plus black and white shorts. She had bands around her knees and a black fingerless glove on her right hand. She was currently meditating.
"I just hope he won't be scary…" A shy voice said, being a young 12-year-old boy with long black hair and purple eyes, hidden by a mask. He was wearing a long black coat, a white polo and a pair of baggy purple shorts.
"Don't worry, Allister. The new champs prolly a chump." A 25-year-old man spoke. He was albino with cyan eyes, and long, two-toned black and white hair. He was dressed like a rocker, with a long-sleeved white leather jacket over a black T-shirt, purple shorts and white boots.
"I just hope he gets here…AND WILL YOU PLEASE STOP MESSING WITH MY HAIR, MOM?!" Spoke a rotund man in his 20s spoke with cream hair with yellow tips and blue eyes, hidden by a pair of blue sunglasses. He was dressed in a grey blazer over a white t-shirt, grey shorts and dress shoes. Around his neck was a blue gem on a gold chain.
And he was trying to push back a stocky 40-year-old woman with long, white hair and blue eyes, dressed in a snow white winter outfit, blue pants and white boots. And she was currently messing with the boy's hair.
"Oh, come now Gordie. You have to look presentable." She said to her son.
"Really Melony?" Nessa said with a raised brow.
"There is no excuse to not look your best." Melony spoke with a huff.
Before anyone could retort, a loud voice yelled out.
"OI MATES! MEET THE ALOLAN CHAMPION!"
Turning around, they saw Leon come in with Ash and Pikachu.
Both Bea and Raihan immediately knew who it was.
"Riolu trainer?" Bea asked in slight surprise.
Raihan had a more confronting approach.
"Wait…aren't you…?" He asked as he lazily gazed at Ash. He then remembered the kid from his exhibition match with Leon a while back.
"Yeah…you're that kid that said he's gonna beat Leon. How's that holding out for you?" Raihan asked.
"Hadn't had a chance to battle him again, but I'm getting stronger each day.' he said with a grin before noticing Bea.
"Hello, Riolu Trainer." She said in her usual monotone, making Ash face-fault, his left foot twitching.
"Dammit! It's Ash! And I don't have a Riolu anymore, I now have a Lucario, so HA!" he said in a petty childish tone
Bea raised a brow. That interested her.
"Anyways, I want you guys to spend the day with him. It was kind of an idea with the other champions." Leon said.
"What should we do?"
"Your usual activities. I want you guys to be mates by the end of this. Now if you'll excuse me…' His face went to a grimace. 'I have somewhere to be." He said as he went back out.
Soon, it was just Ash, Pikachu and the Gym Leaders.
"So…who's first?" Ash asked.
He was then approached by Bea and Allister.
"I believe we have some catching up to do, Lucario Trainer." She said with a small smile.
"IT'S ASH!"
Soon, the three trainers were at the Stow-on-Side Gym, where they had a conversation about what was going to happen.
"So, you two want a two-on-one battle?" Ash asked.
"Yeah…Leon said you were a skilled battler and…I want to see…" Allister said in a shy tone.
"And if the rumours about you now having a Lucario are true then I want to see first hand. I know Grapploct would love to battle him again."
"Well, I say let's do it! I have a Pokémon meaning to test out anyways." Ash said with a grin.
Bea smirked.
"Well, let's see what you can do."
Both Bea and Allister were on one side of the field while Ash was on the other, PokéBalls ready.
"Grapploct! Battle Mode!" Bea said as she flung her PokéBall.
"Go…Gengar…" Allister whispered.
Coming out was Allister's Gengar and a walking blue octopus with a yellow mask, tentacles waving as he got ready to brawl.
"TIme for a reunion of the ages. Lucario and Annihilape! I choose you!" Ash said as he threw his PokéBalls, revealing Lucario and Annihilape.
Lucario and Grapploct saw each other and growled as lightning sparks clashed in the air. But Annihilape caught the attention of both trainers.
"OK…I've never seen that Pokémon before." Allister said as he eyed the phantom monkey who got into a boxing stance.
"Indeed. Lucario trainer, is that a new Pokémon?" Bea asked, causing a twitch to form with Ash.
"Yep. Meet Annihilape! Ghost/Fighting type and the new evolution of Primeape! I've never trained with one before and I want to see what he can do!" Ash said with a grin.
Bea was now smiling in interest. A Ghost/Fighting type. That will be an interesting challenge.
Suddenly, Bea began to move her arms in a blocking motion before punching forward
"Grapploct! Get in close with Close Combat!"
Grapploct then began to swim through the air as he dove down to Lucario, ready to swing but Ash was quicker.
"Dodge it Lucario and intercept with Bullet Punch!"
Lucario flipped above the octopus as his fists shone silver and he started to hammer away like a machine gun with his fists. Taking another opportunity, Ash had Annihilape go for the next attack.
"Annihilape, get close and use Rage Fist!"
The ghost boxer began to steam with rage as he performed a powered dead straight to the ghost who was floating.
"Stop with Shadow Ball…" Allister whispered as a glob of Shadowy energy formed in his hands as he launched it at the monkey, who was still charging.
"Punch the ground to dodge!" Ash said as Annihilape did just that, the punch propelling him in the air.
"I wasn't aiming at you…" Allister said as the blob went straight for Lucario.
Bea nodded as she did her motions for the next attack.
"Octolock!"
Eyes opening, Grapploct swam out of the last Bullet Punch to wrap his tentacles around Lucario, holding him in position as the Shadow Ball made its way to Lucario.
"Oh no you don't! Annihilape, intercept with Gunk Shot!"
The monkey summoned a glob of ooze that he hurled at the shadowy orb, destroying it and forming black smoke.
"Now Thunder Punch!"
Annihilape shot out of the smoke with an electric fist, slamming it into the temple of the octopus to knock him back.
"Gengar…Hypnosis…" Allister spoke as the ghost shone beams from his eyes. Annihilape managed to dodge it, but it hit Lucario instead, who ended up falling on his back, asleep.
"Oh man!"
"Perfect! Grapploct, Close Combat!"
The octopus was quick on the draw and began to slap Lucario with his tentacles, the jackal still sleeping as he was being pummelled.
"Oh no you don't! Get close and use Thunder Punch!"
With a burst of speed, Annihilape zoomed ahead and punched with an electric fist on the same spot Lucario had pounded with Bullet Punch. The effect was instantaneous as the octopus was struck by electricity.
However, Grapploct was still touching Lucario when it landed and the attack shocked him to. When the dust settled, both Lucario and Grapploct were out cold.
"Damn. That was unexpected…" Ash said as he returned Lucario.
"I know. But you did well.' Bea complimented before turning to her partner. 'Allister, show him your final gambit."
"Of course…" He said as he returned Gengar and his Dynamax band started to glow.
"What the…?" Ash said as he saw Allister threw the giant ball into the air. The sky turned purple as a pair of giant hands came out of the ground and a giant mouth came along as well, all with a small crimson cloud on top.
"WHAT THE?!"
He was suddenly cut off when Allister called out the move
"G-MAX TERROR!"
Suddenly, tendrils of black shot out and went to Annihilape.
Good thing, Ash was quick on instinct.
"Aim a Gunk Shot in the mouth!"
A glob of poison was shot straight into the mouth of the giant ghost. It may not have been effective, but Gengar reacted with disgust that cancelled the attack easily as he spat the poison out.
"All or Nothing! Rage Fist plus Thunderpunch, Annihilape! This Combo is called Wrath Thunder Straight!"
Steam shot from Annihilape as he jumped into the air and electricity sparked around the fist, turning blue as he dove down like a meteor, slamming right on the temple. The effect was immediate as Gengar jolted from the shock as he shifted back to normal and landed on the ground, out cold.
"Aw man…" Allister whined.
"You did well though." Bea said as he shook his hand.
"Thanks. But I would like to try and Gigantamax Gengar! Is it possible?!" Ash asked with starry eyes.
"Of course. You have a Gengar, right?" Allister asked.
"Of course!' Ash said as he threw a PokéBall in the air. It opened to reveal his own Gengar.
"OK, Gengar! Time for us to try out something."
This confused Gengar
"Gar?"
Soon, everyone was watching as Ash got ready to try and Gigantamax the ghost.
"Are you ready?" Ash asked
"GAR!" Gengar replied with a grin.
Ash returned the ghost to his PokéBall and activated his Dynamax Band, enlarging it before he threw the ball into the air.
The giant capsule exploded and the result?
"GENGAR!"
Just a giant Gengar.
Allister and Bea immediately knew something was up but Ash was too busy encouraging Gengar to realise it.
"COME ON GENGAR! GO FOR IT!" Ash cheered as Gengar continued to open his mouth as wide as possible.
Bea took out her RotomPhone and found something she was looking for.
"Yep. He's got the wrong idea." Bea said as Allister went to run some interference.
"Um…Ash."
Ash leapt a bit from the silent arrival of the boy.
"Allister?!"
"Your Gengar can only Dynamax.' he said looking at the giant ghost. 'You can't force it to Gigantamax no matter how hard you try."
"WWWHHHHAAT?!" Ash yelled in dismay and he wasn't the only one.
"GENGAR?!" Gengar yelled in dismay as he shrunk back to normal, a look of dismay in his eyes as he sat down in depression.
"He can Gigantamax if he had some Max Soup." He said.
"Max Soup?" Ash asked in confusion.
"It's a special concoction certain Pokémon drink in order to Gigantamax.' Bea explained as she showed a picture of some large mushrooms with pink flat tops and a golden bowl with pink soup. 'Drinking it can help Gengar Gigantamax." She explained.
"I see. So how about we get you some max soup so you can Gigantamax?" Ash said with a grin.
"GENGAR!" The ghost said happily. Ash quickly got into Allister's face.
"Tell me where these Max Mushrooms are anyways?" he said in an excited voice.
"Ummm…In the woods…" Allister said as he shrunk back.
"That's awesome!' Ash exclaimed as Allister moved back more. 'Let's go together!"
"It's not that easy…" Allister spoke.
"How come?" Ash asked.
Suddenly, Allister started to speak in a creepy tone, moving his hands in a creepy manner.
"You see, there are tons of ghost-type Pokémon living out there in the forest. And each kind is different from each one in weird ways." He said, creeping Ash out.
"How weird?"
"They will try to stop you."
Ash however took a relaxed pose.
"Ah, don't worry. We'll get those Max Mushrooms for sure." He said, dragging Allister out. Bea, Gengar, Annihilape, Lucario and Pikachu looked at each other.
"We better go after them." She said as they all followed the two boys.
The first location the trio arrived at was seemed to be out of place. Amongst the lush, green vegetation, was a small patch of rocks, pale white like a ghost, with the exception of the large, pink mushrooms behind a large rock.
"There are the Max Mushrooms.' Allister said as he pointed to the bunch behind the large rock. 'Be careful. This area is home to Galarian Corsola. They can curse you should you disturb them." Allister said.
"OK.' He then turned to Gengar. 'Gengar, let me up. You're gonna float me to the mushrooms for me to pick.
The ghost nodded as Ash held on tight while they were floating. Lucario and Annihilape kept an eye on Ash.
They managed to float to the largest stone to grab the mushroom, but before they could get back, Ash's hat fell off and landed on one of the stones, which turned out to be alive. It looked like a pale barnacle with a gloomy look.#
"Watch out! It'll curse you!" Allister warned Ash.
Luckily, Lucario and Annihilape were quick on the mark.
"CAR!" Lucario roared as he unleashed a flurry of Bullet Punches on the Corsola before knocking it back to Annihilape, who had a Thunder Punch ready.
"APE!" One swift uppercut sent the Corsola flying, who yelled as it careened into the distance.
Bea nodded in respect.
"Nice punch." Bea complimented.
"Ape!" Annihilape said with a puff of pride.
"Well, I managed to get the first mushroom!" Ash said with a grin.
"Excellent." Allister said, taking it into his hands.
The next mushroom was in the middle of the field, but there was a slight hiccup in the form of a tiny, pale green serpent with two tiny arms with stubs and a dark green plane-shaped head with red nobs, snoring gently on the top of the mushroom.
"Careful Ash. Try not to wake up the Dreepy." Allister said.
"No worries." Ash said as he went to his knees as he went close to the mushroom.
The Dreepy opened its eyes as he saw Ash.
"Hey there. Don't worry. I won't disturb you." Ash said with a smile. The Dreepy simply floated to Ash and went into his hat, continuing the nap on his head, making Ash giggle.
Taking the mushroom, he made his way to Allister.
"That's the second one." The boy said.
"Nice.' He then took the dragon into his hands. 'But what about him?" Ash asked. Dreepy woke up but decided to snuggle up to Ash.
"I think he's attached to you." Bea said as she saw the dragon get attached to him by cuddling up to the trainer.
"So, should I catch it?" Ash asked.
"Why not?" Allister said.
Ash smiled as he tapped a PokéBall on its head, warping it into the capsule. The shook three times before it clicked in confirmation.
"One Max Mushroom…AND I CAUGHT A DREEPY!" Ash cheered as he held it into the air with Pikachu, Lucario and Annihilape cheering.
"Nice. But we still don't have enough mushrooms for the soup."
The final mushroom was in a dark forest, where the final mushroom was. They found the cluster but before they could grab it…
"TREEEV…" A giant tree with six legs, large claws and a red eye glaring at them.
All of them froze with scared looks.
The giant tree roared as he made a swipe at them. Normally, Ash would be willing to battle but they were in a dark as hell forest with an angry Trevenant after them. Now wasn't the time. Quickly, all of them managed to escape the forest.
"That's it. We have enough mushrooms for the Max Soup." Allister said.
"ALRIGHT!" Ash cheered along with Pikachu, Lucario and Annihillape.
It was late at night as Allister said the stew had to rest for at least a night. While everyone was asleep, Allister remained to check on the stew.
"Seems alright…' He paused as he felt a presence. 'I know you're there."
Gengar floated beside him as he watched the pot boil, trying to get a peak.
"Don't even think about it. It needs to be properly boiled." He said, thwarting the attempt.
"You know, I do understand what you want. You want to get stronger for Ash." Allister said.
Gengar looked at him in curiosity.
"But from what I saw…Ash doesn't care about that. He wants you to move at your own pace and get stronger on your own terms. You don't have to force yourself as strength happens on its own pace." He said
Gengar's eyes shimmered as he hugged the boy. Mask falling, Allister smiling as he returned the hug.
It was next morning and all three were eager to see the results.
"Max soup is ready." He said as he opened the pot to reveal the pink mixture.
Eager, Gengar grabbed the pot and poured it into his mouth, chewing with puffy cheeks.
"How's it taste?" Ash asked.
"GAR!" He said with a smile.
"Now he's had the soup, let's test it out." Allister asked.
They were back on the field. Ash had returned the PokéBall and activated his Dynamax glove, causing it to enlarge before he threw it into the air. The same thing happened with one significant difference.
Popping out of the ground was a Gigantamax Gengar!
"ALLLLRIIGGHT!" Ash cheered as Gengar bellowed.
Allister and Bea smirked.
It was a success.
Ash was now at the train station.
"So you have an idea on where to go next?" Bea asked
"I'll go see Raihan. I think he needs my help with something." He said.
"Well good luck. Raihan isn't the strongest Gym Leader for no reason." She replied.
"I will. And maybe we should have another battle again." Ash said.
Bea smirked in response.
"I will look forward to it, Ash." She said as he got on the train, just as it chugged out of the station.
Arriving at Hammerlocke, Ash had entered the large stadium of a gym where the Dragon Trainer was waiting for.
"Hey, Raihan!" Ash called, as the large male turned to him.
"Oh hey Ash. Glad you could come." He said as he approached him.
"What do you need?" Ash said.
With a grin, he had summoned to Pokémon: A long, light green serpent with four kite-shaped wings, red lenses covering his eyes and two claws and a silver bipedal lump of iron with yellow eyes and stubby arms.
"We are going to do a dragon show. And I need some Dragon types to do it. You have any?" he asked.
Ash was confused but he had an idea.
He had been meaning to try out Dreepy anyways.
"Yep. Come on out!"
Ash let out his new Dreepy and a tiny blue shark with a red belly, beady eyes and two torpedoes on his head plus a fin sticking out. It had a large jaw…
CHOMP!
Which wound up landing on Ash's head.
"AARGH!" Ash yelled as he began to move animatedly in place as the shark happily munched his head, with Pikachu and Dreepy doing the same.
"GIB! GIB!" Gible said in joy.
"So…that is your other Dragon?"
"YEah.' Ash grunted as he managed to take the Dragon of his head. 'And he loves to bite on anything he can latch his jaws on."
"Gib, Gib!" Gible said in agreement.
"Anyways…' He then held his Rotom Phone out. 'My viewers want me to do a Dragon spectacle with both the Alola Champion and the strongest of Galar's Gym leaders. I was wondering if you have any skills with performing or anything?"
Ash rubbed his chin.
"I have done a few contests in the past. Why not? But firstly, what moves do you know Dreepy?" Ash asked as he scanned with his RotomPhone.
"Dreepy knows Bite, Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor."
"Huh. Guess it's still a newborn." He mused as ideas flowed into his head.
"Cool. Let's get started." Raihan said.
The video started to record.
"Hey there, Dragonborns! Raihan here! And I'm here to show you the latest spectacle! Ya'll wanted to see a show of dragons right?! Well, with my special guest, the new Alola champion, Ash Ketchum!"
Ash appeared with Pikachu, Dreepy and Gible!
"What's up, everyone?!" He cheered with the others doing the same thing.
"Now then, we are gonna have some fun and show you a spectacle like you've never seen. Let's start! Flygon, Use Sandstorm!"
The green serpent flapped his wings as a large sand cloud formed with Flygon in the center.
"Duralodon! Spin in the sand with Breaking Swipe!"
The giant iron dragon's tail glowed aqua before he started to spin in the sandstorm, mixing the yellow and aqua auras, making the look more lime green.
"OK, Gible! Draco Meteor!"
Gible soon charged draconic energy in his mouth and then fired into the tornado, suddenly Dreepy went into the storm as well.
"Knock 'em back with Dragon Tail, Dreepy!" Ash cheered as the tiny dragon's tail turned aqua and scaly, flying into the storm and knocking away all of the meteors as they collided with each other, turning into a sparkly sensation.
All except for one as it soared into the distance.
"Well, that was bloody phenomenal! And I see all of ya mates are rolling the comments. That is one spectacle you won't forget so thanks for tuning in! Raihan! OUT!"
The recording ended.
"Now THAT was amazing!" Raihan said as he smacked his back.
"Yep. Nice to see I still got it." He said.
Suddenly, Raihan's phone went off. Looking at who's calling, he looked confused.
"Milo?"
Suddenly, he got his answer.
"HELP! SEND SOMEONE! MY WOOLOO HERD GOT LOOSE!" He yelled in a panic before hanging up.
"Umm…Ash? You think you can…?"
"On it!" Ash said quickly as he raced out of the stadium.
"Talk about spirited." he remarked to his two Pokémon, who grunted in agreement.
Arriving in the Tuffield Gym, Ash and Pikachu had to leap out of the way of several tiny sheep charging to them.
"What in the actual hell?!"
"Ash! Thank Arceus you're here! I was getting the Wooloo ready for a herding activity and they went crazy! I don't know how that happened!" he said.
"No worries. I know someone who can help!' He said as he threw a PokéBall into the air, revealing a small green frog like creature with a large green bulb on his back. 'Bulbasaur! We need your help!"
"Bulba!" He said in determination. With his vines, he charged and began to herd the Wooloo, with Ash and Milo following.
"That's it Bulbasaur! Keep it up!"
Bulbasaur chirped as he began to round up the sheep into one group.
"Into the pen!" he said, pointing to the open area.
"Got it!" Ash said as Bulbasaur managed to herd them into the area. Once they were all in, Milo closed the gate.
"Thanks." he said.
"No worries. But how did that happen?" Ash asked.
The answer came when a wolf with black fur and a grey underbelly, growling.
"That answers that question." Ash said as Bulbasaur and Pikachu got ready for battle.
The wolf charged but Pikachu and Bulbasaur were quicker. Bulbasaur caught the wolf in his vines and threw it into the air. Pikachu rushed forward and spun with an Iron Tail, knocking the wolf into the distance.
"Nice." Milo said, impressed.
"Thanks." Ash replied back.
"Shame we couldn't do the activity." He lamented.
"No worries. I had fun."
Milo smiled.
"Well, if you need to go somewhere else, I heard Nessa needs someone to do a photoshoot in Hullberry." He said.
"Really? Cool."
Ash had then arrived in Hullbery where there was a camera crew getting ready for the photoshoot.
"Oh hey! You made it!" Nessa said as she hugged the boy.
"Yeah! So, what's it about?" He asked.
The director then came forward.
"It's called the motion in the ocean. We need two water types to leap into the air while the two of you pose."
Nessa turned to Ash.
"So you have any Water-Types on hand?"
Ash smirked.
"Sure do!"
He then threw a PokéBall, revealing an orange weasel with twin tails, a yellow float sac and blue fins on his arms, who crossed them with a cocky look.
"What about you?" Ash asked.
She threw a dive ball, revealing a Milotic, who cooed next to her.
"Wow! A Milotic!"
"I figured we could use some style and grace for this joint." She said.
Soon, it was time for the photoshoot. Ash was in a pair of blue swim trunks while Nessa was in a red bikini and thong.
Both posed as Buizel and Milotic leapt out of the ocean behind them, with Ash pulling his cap down and smirking while Nessa placed a hand on her hip with the other on her head.
Another was them playing volleyball with Buizel and Milotic.
Third was them surfing on their Pokémon, doing hang tens on a large wave.
The fourth was them playing the ocean with their Pokémon, splashing water on each other.
Final one was a group photo with the Pokémon out.
"Thanks for the help, you two! These will be good material." He said.
"Well, that was a good day. Want some ice cream? My treat." Nessa offered.
"Sweet!"
"Pika!"
"Bui!"
Soon, all of them went to enjoy a cold, sweet, creamy treat, courtesy of Nessa.
Heading to Motostoke, Ash had to sweat as the Gym was extremely boiling like a desert sun.
"I see you have arrived." Kabu said, back facing as he performed a kata in the heat, along with a red, giant centipede with a yellow underbelly
"You seriously train in this heat?" He asked.
"That's right. Fire is like my style. Overpowering and straight to the point. I don't like to waste time with stalling strategies. Just go in and out." He said.
"Hey, I do that to. But, you do need a balance." He said, wiping his brow from the heat.
"True. Anyways, I called you here to help build up your Pokémon's own firepower. If you have any fire-types, we can use this to boost their firepower." He explained.
"Well, I do have one that needs some extra power." He said as he threw a PokéBall into the air, revealing an orange tortoise with a black and red shell, designed like a coal furnace.
"KOAL!" it called.
"Alright, Torkoal, time to train!"
Soon the group began to manoeuvre within the heat of the battlefield, Ash following Kabu's movements, Centiskorch began to move like a Chinese Dragon and Torkoal and Pikachu stepped in different directions.
Ash and Pikachu were definitely not used to the heat as their movements were slower than Kabu and the centipede, which they noticed.
"I see you aren't used to this." He commented.
"I have travelled through a few deserts…' he panted '...but never this hot!"
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed as he ended up collapsing on the floor.
"Though, your Torkoal is enjoying it." Kabu said as the tortoise, enjoyed taking in the heat.
Suddenly, Torkoal launched an orb of sunlight from his mouth into the air, making it even larger.
"KOOOAAAAAALLLLL!" He yelled as he felt the sun increase his heat.
"And he learned a new move as well." Ash remarked.
After that, the two ended up cooling down with some water.
Ash was now reading a sign by a forest illuminated by small lights.
"Glimwood Tangle. Where many fairies roam." He read.
"Fairies huh? I think someone may be at home." He said as he opened a PokéBall, showing his new Florges, who looked interested in the forest.
"Well Florges. Let's have a look." He said as the group entered the forest.
And they were in awe. It looked like something out of a fantasy novel. The dark forest contrasting with the tiny bright lights. It looked amazing.
"Wow…" he said in awe and both of his Pokémon had to agree.
"I can give you a tour, sonny."
Turning around, they saw Opal by one of the trees.
"Why don't I give you the tour of the GLimmwood Tangle." She said with a cackle.
Soon, the group began to walk through the forest, Opal giving out facts as they walked and all sorts of Pokémon coming to watch them or just minding their own business.
Florges even felt more at ease while in the tangle. Her time caring for her daughter meant she never had the chance to relax. Luckily, Goodra was there to help but still.
This felt nice.
Ash even decided to take some photos in the tangle as well, while Florges provided a wonderful display with her Moonblast.
When they reached the exit, Ash had to say one thing.
"That was amazing." He said with awe.
"I know, lad. Why don't we go in for some lovely tea and cake." She said, with Ash drooling over the thought of food.
The group then went into the gym to enjoy a lovely meal.
The city of Spikemuth. It was as dark and dreary as people said it was.
"Wow…This place looks like Dark City back in Kanto…" Ash whispered.
"Yo!"
Ash was then surrounded by a lot of people with neon pink facepaint and grey vests. Ash and Pikachu felt a battle coming and were ready for battle, until they parted to reveal Piers.
"Bout time you got here." He said with a smirk.
Going into the Gym, Ash was greeted to a concert hall with a giant gorilla with a green mane beating on a wooden drum, two purple lizards one having a yellow mane and a wild look while the other had a blue mane and was more calmer plus a bipedal mongoose that was black and white with a long tongue.
All of them were playing a lovely rockstar melody with all the other trainers and Dark-type Pokémon enjoying it as well.
"Woah, what's happening here?" He asked.
"A rock concert. All trainers and their Dark-types are here to rock out and enjoy this! What do you say? Wanna rock and roll?"
"Hell yeah!" Ash said as he released the Dark-type for the occasion.
"KROOOOOOOOK!" Krookodile declared.
"Nice! Let's get on the stage and rock!" He said as the two made their way to the stage.
"HEEELLLLOOOO, SPIKEMUTH!"
Everyone cheered.
"HOPE YOU ARE READY TO ROCK! AND FOR THIS SPECIAL CONCERT, WE HAVE THE ALOLA ACE, ASH KETCHUM!"
Ash was there with Pikachu and Krookodile, both making rock signs with their fingers.
"WELL THEN, LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!"
Soon, the concert was abuzz with music, Piers and the bipedal rocker ferret harmonising with their vocals, both purple lizards striking the bulbs on their chests. Ash and Krookodile even got in on the action and Ash surprised everyone with his skills on the electric guitar, while Krookodile had fun with the bass. Pikachu even did an amazing light show with his electricity.
Everyone cheered in happiness and excitement.
After the concert, they were all congratulating Ash for the amazing guitar playing.
Ash was now in Circhester and well, he was greeted to a sight.
"Mum, please! Will you quit messing with my hair?!"
"Oh please, Gordie! The champion is coming soon, so we have to look our best!"
"But it doesn't involve doing it in public!"
Ash and Pikachu looked rather dumbfounded at the scene.
"OK…" He said before deciding to let them know.
"Um…Hello? Ash Ketchum? Here?" He said.
"Oh, Mr. Ketchum! Nice to see you!" Melony spoke.
"Sup, dude." Gordie replied in a more casual manner.
"Hey, so what are we going to do?" Ash asked.
"Well, we need your help. Apparently, there have been reports of two wild Tyranitars nearby and we are tasked with trying to calm it down." Melony explained.
"And we are going to use MY ROCK-TYPES!" Gordie said to his mother.
"Please, my Ice-types can cool the Tyranitar down easily!" Melony answered back.
"Rock beats Ice and you know it!"
"My Ice types know water type moves and YOU know it!"
While the two were busy arguing, Ash managed to find the information about the two Tyranitars.
"Guys! They are up ahead!" He said as he went to where they were with the two Gym Leaders following them.
In the area, they finally found the Tyranitars, both keeping an eye on them. And Ash decided to bring two more Pokémon with him.
Lycanroc and Beartic.
"OK, guys. Let's take care of this."
"CA!/BEAR!"
Meanwhile, both Gordie and Melony were still arguing on how to approach this, not knowing Ash had gotten ready.
"Look, I'll freeze them in their tracks, you can knock them out!"
"I know Rock-type, Mum! It won't work!"
Ash just looked back in annoyance.
"Honestly…Pikachu, Lycanroc, Beartic. You have my back. I'm going in."
The three nodded as Ash slowly approached them. The two giant, green rock kaiju saw Ash approach and their eyes widened.
"OK, I don't want to cause trouble and…' Suddenly one of the Tyranitars hugged Ash. '...why are you hugging me?"
"TY! TY!" The smaller Tyranitar said in an excited tone before Ash recognised him.
"Wait…LARVITAR?!" Ash said with wide eyes. Pikachu also looked on in agreement as well.
"Then that means…that's your Mom?!" Ash pointed at the other, who nodded in agreement.
"DAMN! You shot up!" Ash said as both man and mouse began to catch up.
"So, why are you here?"
Tyranitar began growling as he hugged him.
"Wait…You wanted to see me?"
Tyranitar nodded.
"How come?"
Tyranitar pointed at Ash.
"Wait, you want to come with me?"
The giant kaiju nodded.
"But what about your mother?" Ash asked, pointing at the Tyranitar behind him, who was looking like she was about to cry. The younger Tyranitar looked conflicted but luckily Ash had a solution.
"How's about I catch you both? You can come with me, and I know someone who would love to have your mother."
Both smiled at the idea. They wouldn't be separated by that.
Taking two PokéBalls out, he managed to snag them both.
"An old friend and a present for my own mom." Ash said as the others smiled. Gordie and Melony finally arrived.
"We're here! Where are the Tyranitars?" Gordie asked.
"While you were arguing, I took care of it. I'm heading back. Hopefully, you two can agree on a way to get back to the Gym." Ash said sternly.
He then made his way back.
"Well, it was nice for you to come by. What do you think of our Gyms?"
As Ash got on the plane, he said one thing:
"After the World Championships begin again, I want a proper Galar League experience." He said with a grin as he entered the plane.
"I'll be waiting." Leon said as the plane took flight back to Kanto.
Ash was relaxing inside, when his phone went off.
"Hello?"
His eyes widened.
"Scott?"

Now Omakes
1: Corsola crashes
The Corsola from the Grave soon landed in front of someone. Shaking his head, it tried to float when suddenly...
"Sweet! A new Pokémon!"
A PokéBall came and hit it, warping him inside. It shook before clicking.
Omake 2: Not this Meteoric nightmare again...
Dawn's Piplup was chilling by the river, when he heard the whistling. Eyes opening, he yelled in shock at the familiar sight.
With a yell, he tried to move but the meteor followed him until it struck, causing an explosion, leaving him face down in the dirt.
As he stood up, he yelled one thing.
"DAMN YOU, GIBLE!"
