Chapter 4: Frieza's Vengeful Arrival! Videl Meets The Z-Fighters!

A couple of days have passed since Gohan and Videl have found each other as romantic partners. During this time, Videl has made great progress in her training with Gohan. She has managed to pick up his self-created technique called: Masenko. Gohan has also been able to teach her the Kamehameha Wave. While he doesn't have full mastery over the Kamehameha himself, he was still able to successfully teach it to Videl.

Once Videl had the basics for the Kamehameha Wave down, she and Gohan began working off each other to gain a better control over the technique. After a couple hours of doing so, they headed back to the Son house to have a long break, and get something to eat. Ever since the "romantic partner" discovery, they have told Chi-Chi about it. She welcomes them. "Hello, lovebirds," she said in a slight teasing manner.

Gohan and Videl blush a little at her comment, but they aren't too surprised, since they did tell her about this. Gohan greets and asks his mother, "Hello, Mom. Could you please cook Videl and I something to eat? A small snack should fill our stomachs." Videl nods her head at Chi-Chi, agreeing with Gohan's request to eat. Chi-Chi replies saying, "Of course, you two. It should be ready soon."

With this confirmation, Gohan and Videl head up to Gohan's room for a little while. After that time has passed, Chi-Chi calls them both downstairs to eat. Once they reach the kitchen, they sit down at the table, and thank Chi-Chi for her cooking, respectfully. After they finished eating, Gohan and Videl headed to the living room to watch TV. About 30 minutes later, the pair sense an evil energy, one that feels familiar to Gohan.

Videl has never sensed such a huge Ki signature before, so she asks Gohan whose Ki that belongs to. Gohan is still shocked with what he's sensing, saying, "There's no way. It can't be him. I thought my father finished him on Namek. Who is that with you, Frieza?"

With these words spoken, Videl is able piece together who it is that they sense: Frieza, and someone else traveling with him. Due to Gohan and Videl being romantic partners to each other, they're able to hear each other's thoughts. Just then, the Son house telephone rings. Gohan answers it.

"Hello?" "Gohan, do you sense that enormous energy?" Gohan recognizes the voice on the other end of the line: Krillin. "Yes, I do, Krillin. If it really IS Frieza, then we need to head out to his landing location. Without my father here, we're going to need all of the help we can get."

"Also, Krillin, we have a new ally that can be of help to us against Frieza. I'll explain once we arrive." "Alright, Gohan. I hope we can count on this ally's assistance. See you there." "You won't regret it. See you there."

Gohan then turns to Videl in a serious expression, saying, "I hope you're ready for your first real battle with what I have taught you, Videl. As I have told Krillin, we're going to need all of the help that we can get." Videl nods at Gohan, saying, "I will do whatever it takes to stop Frieza, doing what I can at least." "I'm glad we can count on you to help. Well, we better not waste anymore time. HEY MOM! We just got a call from Krillin. Videl and I have also sensed an evil, familiar energy. Frieza has survived the explosion of Namek. He's almost here, and without my father here to help, we're all going to be needed in this battle."

Chi-Chi hears this, and understands that the Earth is in danger. So, she allows Gohan to go assist in the fight. Without further hesitation, Gohan and Videl head out. Along the way, they see Krillin a little further ahead. "Hey, Krillin!" Krillin looks back to see who called his name, smiling once he sees Gohan behind him. He also notices Videl flying alongside him.

"Is she the ally who you were talking about, Gohan?" And Gohan replies, "Yes, she is, Krillin. Meet Videl." "Nice to meet you, Krillin." "You too, Videl." It's at this point Krillin notices Videl's tail. "Gohan, is she also a Saiyan?" "Half-Saiyan, actually. Her mother was a full-blooded Saiyan that also survived Planet Vegeta's destruction. Her name is Fasha. Something unfortunate happened to her, though. She died of a heart disease. As a friend around her age, I've been there for Videl. Anyway, we better focus on the matter at hand: Fighting Frieza." Krillin nods in agreement with Gohan's words.

LATER

Gohan introduces Videl to the rest of the Z-Fighters, and explains her origin to them; they're surprised to learn that another Saiyan survived, especially Vegeta, the Saiyan Prince. Videl is kind of surprised to actually meet most of the Z-Fighters. She has heard about them from Gohan, but actually meeting them is something different. After introductions are done, they focus on the matter at hand: Frieza, and the other huge power they sense.

Vegeta is able to deduce who the other person with Frieza is: Frieza's father, King Cold. With this figured out, he tells everyone who the other person is. Shocked to find out that Frieza's father is with him, Gohan and Videl start to show some concern, and the rest of the Z-Fighters do likewise, except a lot more so. They all decide to lay low to see what Frieza and King Cold do. They also lower their Ki signatures, so that the Scouter devices worn by Frieza's men can't detect them.

As Frieza orders his soldiers to search the planet for Goku's allies, two unknown people surprise attack the soldiers, killing them cleanly, quickly, and being done so by one of the figures: A young lavender-haired man wearing a Capsule Corporation jacket, and a sword. The young man looks to be almost at adulthood. While the other figure appears to be a young 10-year-old girl in a red shirt, wearing an orange bandana, and jeans.

The young man begins talking, "Ah, so you must be Frieza. We've been waiting to meet you face-to-face." The young girl makes quick work of the fodder soldiers, allowing them to focus on the main matter: Frieza.
