Once back at the house, Nod was getting a tour around the place from MK while her father was in the middle of preparing lunch for them.
"Okay, I'm a little shocked by all this stuff," said Nod.
"Guess it can't be helped, you have been only in the forest your whole life so a lot of the things we're used to will be weird to you," said MK.
"What are these things?" asked Nod while looking at some computer monitors.
"They're computers, we use them for a lot of things and talking to you is one of those," said MK at the same time she brought up the video from the forest camera where Nod would always show up to talk to her.
"Cool, and they can do more than this?" asked Nod.
"Yeah, dad and I use them to help in our research and you can even look up a lot of information on them too," said MK while turning in her seat to face him.
"They sound important," said Nod.
"You can say that," said Radcliffe as he walked into the room.
"By the way, lunch is ready so go wash your hands then come eat," he said before heading back to the dining room.
"Alright," said MK. After having washed their hands, the two walked into the dinning room.
"Wow, this is really good, you called it a lasagna right?" asked Nod.
"Glad to hear that you like it, and I did," said Radcliffe.
"I also made sure there's no meat since you Leafmen are vegetarians and I didn't want to make something you don't eat," he said.
"Actually we do eat meat when we can get it, it's just a rare thing," said Nod.
"Being smaller than most animals can't help with that, I mean a squirrel can kill you if you're not careful while hunting it," said MK.
"True, I've only had meat once in my life and it took ten Leafmen to get it, that was one dangerous frog," said Nod with a slightly horrified expression as he thought back on the event.
"Alright, I'm making bacon this evening for dinner," said MK.
"What's bacon?" asked Nod. MK and her father then went on to explain while they all ate their lunch.
