Back with a modified version of my original chapter that was lost. hope you all like it. Please read the Authors Note below and answer the question in the comments.

Prometheus-23 ducked his head as the Hive/Grimm hybrid swung a wing at his head, only to barely dodge the cleaver it swung. He got up and got shoved by the chitin shield which sent him on his back. He recovered enough to dodge the clever as it swiped down at his head, rolled and got back up on his feet as it came right at him again.

After their shock at seeing five Hive Knights with Grimm Ravager wings on their shoulders, the group of seven were soon attacked by the five. Penny went high to attack them, but one soon flew upwards to attack her. The Ace-Ops soon were charged by the remaining three while the last one went right at the Titan.

Penny flew and maneuvered her blades to hack at the hive Knight, but it batted away her blades with its own. She recalled them just as a sniper tried to bring her down. She turned and saw the Hive Wizard along with its Acolytes look up at them with the latter using their weapons to snipe her. She brought up two blades and switched them to their gun forms to shoot lasers at them, hitting two of them. But then the Hive Knight flew right by her and swung, nearly slicing her arm off. She then flew to get the Knight to follow.

The Ace-Ops weren't faring better. After crying out, "Why do they have wings!?" Marrow tried to use his Semblance on them, but only one of them were caught and froze in place, while the remaining two flew right at them. Marrow shifted his weapon into its boomerang form and threw it at its head, decapitating it as its body fell to pieces. Elm converted her rocket launcher into a hammer and used her own semblance; Aura Roots, to stay in place as one of them charged at her with their shield in front of it. The hive knight felt like it charged at a stone wall and looked at Elm with shock that she didn't fall back, but instead hold her ground. She smiled and shoved the Knight backwards.

Meanwhile, the other four were using their own team dynamic to apprehend their own Knight. Clover changed his weapon into a fishing pole, flipped over the Hive Knight and used it to hook its blade pulling its sword arm over its head, having its chest exposed as Harriet used her Speed Semblance and ran around the Knight, punching its chest again and again. She even made several cracks in the chest and shield, making it leak green flames and green blood. Harriet then ran towards Vine as he used his Aura Vines to grab onto two stalagmites. She ran into him, who used his semblance as a makeshift slingshot and sent her flying towards the Knight. Using her momentum, she hit the Knight as hard as she could and killed it, shattering into pieces. At that same moment, Elm sent hers flying and caved its head in.

Back with Prometheus-23 and Penny, they decided to team up to take care of the remaining Hive Knights. With their backs to one another, they quickly shifted so one would fight the others Hive Knight. Prometheus-23 activated his Super, manifesting a Hammer of Sol, his body bathed in Solar flames. He charged at his opponent who tried to fly backwards to give it distance. But the heat of the flames burned through the membrane depriving it of that option. It soon felt each hammer blow as Prometheus threw hammer after hammer at it, its chitin sizzling before it too shattered, with bits of its armor melting and giving off a foul smell, causing Prometheus to gag.

Penny brought up her blades and bade them to rotate at fast speed causing the Hive Knight to back up and try to block them. Only to fail as the blades went past its guard and was soon sliced to pieces.

After their opponents fell, the five looked up at the Wizard and Acolytes up above. Harriet looked up and shouted. "That's the best you can do?!"

The Hive Wizard, understanding bit its Acolytes to chant. The chant reached a crescendo and a line of green flames appeared in the Wizards clawed digits, which flew through the air and into the remains of the Hive Knights.

The seven watched in a combination of horror and fascination as the flames made the remains levitate. Bone, sinew and muscle formed between the bits as the wounds healed, flames appeared in their eyes and the Grimm appendages manifested on them. The now resurrected Hive Knights flexed their arms and readied their weapons at the semi-exhausted group of seven.

"What do we do?"

"Running would be a good idea right now."

The seven soon ran down the tunnel, with Prometheus-23 and marrow using their weapons to fire at the Hive chasing them. Whatever the Hive Wizard did, it not only resurrected the five hive Knights, but the swarm of Thralls from the previous chamber.

"I see a light up ahead!" Harriet shouted at the front. "Elm, repeat what we did and place some rockets at the mouth of the cave! I'll light them up as me and Marrow exit the cave, cut them right off!" Prometheus shouted as he punched a charging Thrall to death, turning it to dust.

Elm followed the orders she was given, rigging another set of bombs near the entrance, then ran back to where the others were. Prometheus used his strength to pick up Marrow with one arm, slinging him across his shoulders; while also running as fast as he could to get some distance. But not before using a bit of Solar Light to hit the explosives, making the tunnel collapse. That explosion caused the entrance to cave in, cutting off that area for the time being.

Seeing themselves as safe, they took in their surroundings. They found themselves in a gulch-like area dominated by a railway overhead leading to a series of buildings in the distance. To the right of them was a large cliff overlooking a flat landscape with sand dunes and dead trees. It was almost peaceful…save for the five Hive Shriekers that appeared out of nowhere!

The five Hive Shriekers opened, like demonic clam opens up and purple eye of flames appeared and fired bolts of Void at the seven. Prometheus charged ahead and activated his Ward of Dawn Super; a Super that allowed him to crate a Void Bubble around those to protect from outside forces.

Prometheus held his arms out to keep the bubble up as much as he could, but the impact of the Shriekers attack were already making cracks in it.

"Marrow, think you could use your semblance on those?" Clover asked his teammate.

"No can do. Those Shriekers are inanimate operating via a Hive entity residing in their damn Throne World." Marrow explained, giving a brief synopsis of what a Hive Shrieker is and how it operates.

Cracks appeared more and more as Prometheus used all of his Light to keep up the Ward of Dawn to buy his charges just a little more time.

Time that proved to be on their side!

Jumping off one of the overhead railway was a Guardian Hunter in white armor with a white wolf in the center of a blue and white cloak. Said Hunter brought out her hand cannon and activated her Super.

The Super being Golden Gun.

In a burst of Solar Light, her gun was bathed in Solar energy which she used to full effect.

BLAM! BLAM, BLAM! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Six shots she fired, six shots that hit, with the five Hive Shirekers exploding in a hail of Void and Solar. The Void being their failsafe; for in the event of their destruction, Hive Shriekers use the last bit of their essence to become one final volley of their explosive shots which seek out the closest target. The closest target being the Hunter and Prometheus-23's Ward of Dawn. The Hunter, using her momentum of the fall rolled and dodged the last bits of the Hive Shriekers as they soon dissipated into nothing, while the rest of it impacted his Ward of Dawn. As the last bit impacted, that was when the shield finally fell, forcing the Titan to slump his arms down in exhaustion and the others sighed in relief.

The Guardian Hunter that helped save them approached. Penny observed that this one wa female by her body shape. As she got closer, she saw that the armor was a mixture of white, light blue and grey. Said Guardian holstered her hand cannon. From the brief glimpse she got of it, it wasn't anything like the Hand Cannons that the Guardians of the Last city had made. More like the skeletal structure of a Hand Cannon with some bits of it made out of the same material found in Warsats.

The Hunter pushed her hood up showing a youthful face, tan skin, dark short cropped hair, white face paint near her eyes, which were red. Penny let out a small gasp when she found them glowing briefly. The eyes were purely mechanical.

A red-shelled Ghost appeared out of nowhere and hovered near the new Guardian.

"Sup."

"So you are Anastasia Bray, Guardian Hunter of the Last city. The same Anastasia Bray who lived during the Golden Age and worked in constructing what would eventually become Rasputin?" Harriet said, summarizing the explanation that the now named Guardian gave them.

"Yep. My Ghost; Jinju, found me in a Braytech research facility with my lanyard and ID pass on hand. So when I got resurrected, I found out my identity at the same time and worked everything else out from there."

"Despite the fact that its considered taboo for Guardians to discover their past lives."

Prometheus-23 coughed into his hand and gave Harriet a look.

"With some exceptions of course."

"Don't see you complaining." Anastasia bray said gesturing to their surroundings.

They were currently holed up in a sort of garage overlooking the entire area. They saw abandoned train cars and other vehicles that stayed in their place. Large tower structures emerged from the dunes here and there. The group was sitting on various boxes in the building while Anastasia bray sat on a chair she found along with a few data-pads.

"Those towers are giving off the same energy signature that shot down our craft." Penny replied starring at one.

"That's the Defense Laser Towers. Built to guard areas of great importance to Big Red." Anastasia Bray explained.

"Big Red?" Vine asked.

"It's what I call Rasputin. He likes that name."

"So, he was the one responsible for shooting down our ships in the first place?!" Elm accused.

"Actually, that was someone else." Anastasia brought up a data-pad showing off several files. Most specifically, a satellite photo of

"Recently, someone hacked into some of the towers farther from the Futurescape."

"How is that possible, isn't Rasputin supposed to be this mega super AI?" Marrow asked.

"True, but even Rasputin in his current state gets a bit stretched when dealing with a threat like this."

"And what kind of threat are we dealing with?" Prometheus-23 asked getting back on track.

Anastasia Bray brought up another data-pad.

"For the last few decades, I've been looking into my past. All leads led to the region known as the Hellas Basin. Unfortunately, the entire region was under 5,000 meters of ice, preventing me from finding anything. But then, ever since the Traveler awakened, the entire region began to melt, now the entire region is being swarmed by the Red Legion and these new Hive."

Conversation stopped for a bit as the info seeped into their heads. They all had experience with the Cabal Red Legion, while still a nuisance with Dominus Ghaul dead, were still causing problems for everyone. Now with this new Hive sect and the Red Legion here, things may be getting worse.

Anastasia continued. "Now with the Hive sect and the Red Legion here, this has caused Rasputin to consolidate all of his weapons at hand to protect this region, near the Mindlab containing his Core."

"So, what do we know about the Hive here?" Penny asked.

"Well, we know that there is no record of them in the Grimoire nor in the newly made LORE System. So, they are either new or extremely old. Not to mention they were resurrecting their fallen. A heretical stance among the other Hive sects. So, they are a deviation to the rest. Not to mention that they are experimenting with the local Grimm." Prometheus-23 hypothesized.

"Is that what they are called? Anyway, we can get more info when we reach the Futurescape." Anastasia said bringing up an image of said Futurescape. "Here, we can get more computational power, security…" She brought out a tablet with Hive script on it. "And we can get this translated. Got this off of a Hive Acolyte sometime ago. Jinju couldn't translate it due to a potential viral language within."

Their conversation stopped when they felt the ground beneath them shake. "Is it an earthquake!?" Clover asked, the rest of the team getting their weapons ready. "No, this region has no fault line." Anastasia said, getting her Hand Cannon prepped.

The source of the disturbance made itself known where they cut off the Hive previously. The entire cave mouth exploded outward as a gigantic Hive Ogre emerged.

"What in the fucking hell is that?!" Harriet asked out loud. For no one had any idea what they were seeing.

It was indeed a Hive Ogre. Three stories tall, misshapen head with a mouth that can swallow a Jumpship whole, and arms so long and muscular, capable of crushing a Drake Tank with just a fist. Normally it would have legs to compensate for its size, but this one had no such legs.

Instead, it had the back half of a Grimm. But not just any Grimm, but a Cenitaur; a Creature of Grimm that's the Alpha variant of a Centinel with the segmented body of a centipede and large bladed arms capable of spewing acidic bile.

The segmented back-end of this abominable hybrid of Hive and Grimm helped it along as it escaped the confines of the tunnel network below. Every so often, the hybrid would spew a jet of acidic slime in front of it, instead of its usual Void blast from its head. As the acidic slime touched the ground, said ground would melt.

The group readied themselves, but they were stopped when the Defense Laser Towers became active. Red beams came out of the towers and impacted the hybrid. Where they impacted, its flesh boiled. Ignoring the pain, it continued to make its way towards them.

Only for a large comet of Arc Energy to impact through its body and land in front of it as the hybrid collapsed.

As the body dissolved, they saw who was responsible for its destruction.

"Hello Guardians." Said Guardian Vanguard Commander Zavala.

"Oh Shanks!"
