Chapter 3
After a bumpy ride, I finally arrive at the Ultra Metropolis with Captain Phyco and Palmer. Captain Phyco is greeted by a woman who is wearing a suit just like him. "Welcome back, Captain Phyco."
"Soliera," Phyco nodded, acknowledging the moment. "Meet Ash Ketchum, the brother of Palmer Ketchum, and likely the one connected to our friend in a coma. This is Soliera. She's a vital part of our team, and she's been instrumental in our efforts."
"Nice to meet you." I say. "But where is Lillie? I want to find her."
"Please follow me." While Soliera wants us to follow, I can't help but look around the area with Absol and Zoroark. Towering skyscrapers reach toward the sky, their sleek surfaces reflecting the vibrant colors of holographic billboards. The air buzzed with palpable energy, and advanced technology is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of daily life.
As for the people here, they all have white skin colors, something that happens because of the lack of sunlight. And that's when we see a girl lying on the medical bed, there's no mistaking, it's Lillie.
Captain Phyco turns to the nurse, "This friend here is from the same world as the person in a coma. Let him see her."
"Very well." When the nurse lets me enter, I rush to Lillie and hold her hand, "Lillie... It's me, Ash... please wake up..."
As I hold her hand, I try to use Heal Pulse, and then she mutters, "Ash... is that you..."
Lillie slowly opens her eyes, and Soliera says, "Incredible... we've exhausted every attempt to bring her out of the coma, and yet this young man accomplishes what eluded us!"
Phyco says, "It appears that the residual energy, commonly referred to as Aura in that world, possesses the ability to aid her. That is good news."
"Lillie!" I hug her and say, "You really had me worried there! What's going on? You disappeared for a whole year, and we've been freaking out, wondering what happened to you!"
Lillie frowns, "Ash... I... where are we?"
Phyco steps in, a reassuring presence. "You're in Ultra Metropolis, a world that is different from the world you're living in. My name is Phyco, and I am the Captain of the Ultra Recon Squad. We've been working together to figure things out, especially concerning your situation and the connection with Ash here."
I say, "So you have no idea how you fall into a place like this?"
Lillie shakes her head and says, "All I remember... After what happened in Unova, I came home only to find my brother arguing with my mother... Gladion wants to bring Silvally with him so he can become stronger... while Mom wants Silvally to be trained as a weapon to counter the Ultra Beasts... Dad's death really affects her a lot."
"But Professor Mohn dies because he is trying to protect his family from the Ultra Wormholes... and we didn't even know how it happened in the first place..." I say.
"Pardon me, did you say Professor Mohn?" When Phyco asks, Lillie says, "Yes, that's my father. He was killed by a Kartana and Arceus decided to transform him into a Silvally which my brother is taking care of right now... Did you perhaps know him?"
"Of course I know him." Captain Phyco says, "7 years ago, we found him bleeding on the ground close to where we found you, we decided to use our technology to heal him up."
Lillie jumps and asks, "So all this time, you're telling me that Dad is actually alive this whole time? Where is he?"
"Calm down, Lillie. You haven't finished your story yet." I say, and Lillie frowns. "After the argument between Brother and Mother, my brother decides to leave the house with Sivally... or maybe we should call Type: Null because Faba put a helmet on Silvally's head. And since then I've not seen him again. Then I also noticed her having a Pokemon by her side."
Then she looks around, "Where is my bag?"
"Don't worry, your bag is over here, however, we do find a Cosmog in the bag. "Where did you get that Cosmog?" Soliera asks.
"Cosmog?" I ask.
Lillie holds her head for a while before widening her eyes, "That's right! There are two people sharing the same uniforms as you... they were the ones who provided Cosmog to my Mom..."
"I assume you mean Dulse and Zossie. Those two have been working with the Aether Foundation recently... so this Cosmog was the same specimen that we asked to give to the foundation..." Phyco says.
"Yeah, she wants to use its power to open the wormhole so she can get her revenge... I don't want to lose Mom again, so that's why I steal Nebby from them and try to escape. And then a glow appears and the next thing I know I'm here..."
"And you've been sleeping for 6 months here." Soliera says.
"S-six months?" Lillie gasps weakly.
"It is understandable." Phyco says. "Now you want to know about your father, right? Let's say that after he's awakened from the injury that he's been in, he doesn't remember anything... except for his name. We have no idea which dimension he was from, and how he got the injury, so we decided to let him stay here and recover."
"Please take me to him... I want to see him again..." Lillie says.
Then Phyco brings us to a ranch that is filled with the Pokemon known as Poipole, and he says, "Mohn, you have visitors."
When the man emerges, we gasp in shock – it's indeed Lillie's missing father. Lillie, overwhelmed with emotion, wants to rush to her father and hug him, but Mohn remains composed, his expression unreadable.
"Who are you? What can I do for you?" Mohn's voice is calm, his eyes searching our faces as if trying to place us in the jigsaw puzzle of his memory. Lillie hesitates, uncertainty flickering in her eyes as she attempts to process the unexpected reunion.
"Dad... what are you talking about? It's me, Lillie! Do you remember?" Lillie's voice wavers, a mix of hope and concern in her eyes as she awaits her father's response.
Mohn looks at her, his expression unchanged. "I'm sorry, I lost my memories a lot of years ago. All that I remember is how I stayed here and helped take care of these creatures known as Poipole."
Lillie, overwhelmed and unable to comprehend the situation, stumbles backward. Phyco steps forward, addressing Mohn with a measured tone.
"Mohn, it might be a surprise to you, but this girl here is your daughter, Lillie. If it's possible, how about we do a DNA test? It could help bring some clarity to this situation and confirm the connection." Phyco suggests, trying to find a solution amid the tension that hangs in the air.
Mohn, still processing the revelation, nods slowly. "A DNA test? If it helps us understand, then let's do it."
Then we watch the DNA test in progress, and the result comes soon after. "The test confirms it, Mohn. Lillie is indeed your daughter." Phyco declares, his words carrying a mix of relief and joy.
Lillie's eyes well up with tears as the weight of uncertainty lifts from her shoulders. However, the lingering effects of her father's memory loss still weigh heavily on her heart, and she can't contain the overwhelming emotions. Bursting into tears, Lillie swiftly rushes out of the building, her footsteps echoing with a mix of relief, joy, and the ache of unresolved emotions.
"Lillie! Wait!" I chase after her and grab her hand, she then cries onto my shoulder, "Why... why does it have to be like this... Dad doesn't remember me... and we have to use a DNA test to make him understand that I'm his daughter... why?"
I pause, feeling the weight of her words, and then reply, "Sometimes life throws challenges at us that we never expect. It's tough, Lillie, and it's okay to feel upset. But the DNA test was just a way to bring clarity. Your connection with your dad goes beyond memories, and we'll help him remember. It might take time, but we're here for each other."
"But what if... what if Dad can't remember us? What if he'll never remember about every one of us?" Lillie's voice wavers, mirroring the vulnerability that only a daughter longing for her father's recognition can express.
"Don't worry, Lillie. We'll help him every step of the way. Even if it takes time, the bond between family is strong. Your dad may not remember now, but we'll create new memories together, and who knows, one day, he might remember them too. We're in this together, Lillie, and together, we'll bring back the smiles and laughter." I respond.
"Lillie, Ash is right." We are surprised to see Professor Mohn coming to us. "I may not remember everything now, but I'm willing to try. Let's make new memories together, and maybe, bit by bit, the past will come back to me."
"Dad..." Lillie's eyes shimmer with a mix of emotions. Overcoming the lingering sorrow, she steps forward and embraces Mohn in a warm hug. Then I ask Captain Phyco, who is still looking at Cosmog.
"So what are you going to do with Cosmog? Are you going to have your other two subordinates take Cosmog back to the Aether Foundation?" I ask.
"After what happened, I am not so sure about that. Have you seen the being on top of the tower?" Phyco asks while we look up to the tower, there seems to be a giant black crystal there.
"That is a being known as Necrozma, and he stole the light from us. All we want is to eliminate the threat, which is why we provide this Cosmog and send two people to solve the problem." Phyco says.
"If that's the case, do you mind if we take this Cosmog with us? I mean, maybe we can find a way to stop Necrozma with this little guy's help." I ask.
"I think this might be the better choice." Captain Phyco says. "Now I think it is time to send all of you back home."
Palmer says, "You're right. It is better that we don't stay here for too long. I'll be taking Mohn back to our home. Considering the mess made by Aether Foundation, it is better that we not let him go there yet."
Mohn understands as he goes with Palmer. Soliera and Phyco then decide to take us by leaving with Lunala. But something is not right as multiple wormholes are opening. Phyco gasps, "Oh no... Where did those wormholes come from?"
Soliera says, "Captain, did you remember which wormhole you come from?"
"With these similar wormholes opening, I don't think we can find out where the wormhole that leads to their home is!" Phyco says.
"Does that mean we can't go home yet?" I ask, and he says, "I don't think it is impossible. But we just need to find the right exit..."
Just then, both Lunala are hit by the electrified obstacles as the gravitational pull is pulling us in, and Lillie asks, "What is happening?"
"The obstacles materialize unexpectedly, impeding Lunala's speed. This situation makes us susceptible to the gravitational pull of warp holes, potentially dragging us in involuntarily, irrespective of any resistance we may exert, especially when in close proximity. Ash, Lillie, hold on!"
Then we are forced to suck inside of a wormhole, not knowing where we are going to land.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash and Lillie find Mohn alive, but the problem is that they have been sucked into other Ultra Wormholes. What will happen and will they get back safely?
