Chapter 1: Start of a New Bond.
Our story begins at the Xavier Institute, where the X-Men were currently relaxing after a string of missions and training.
Kitty was sitting on the couch, listening to her tunes, when Nightcrawler teleported near her and sneakily rested a hand on the headset before teleporting away, taking it with him. Kitty jammed for a few seconds before she realized her headset and phone were gone.
"Hey! Where'd they go?" Kitty asked before she heard snickering. She looked and saw Nightcrawler holding her music while laughing.
"Kurt!" Kitty yelled before she started chasing after him, the two of them teleporting and phasing all around the mansion. Eventually, it came to a head when Nightcrawler faced her at the steps, with his back to the stairs.
"Too fast, Kitty?" Nightcrawler asked.
"This has gone on long enough, Kurt! Give me back my phone!" Kitty said.
Nightcrawler only jumped around like something stupid, causing him to slip and fall down the stairs. Kitty got alarmed and rushed to see he had fallen to the bottom and was clutching his leg.
"Kurt! Are you okay?" she asked.
"Yeah, but I think my leg's in bad shape." Nightcrawler said.
Kitty bent down and put Nightcrawler on her back before she started carrying him to get treated.
"Sorry, Kitty. I was just fooling around." Nightcrawler said.
"It's okay, Kurt. You may be annoying, but you're still like my brother, so of course I can't hold it against you." Kitty said.
Nightcrawler's eyes widened, "I'm like your brother?" he asked.
"Yeah." Kitty said.
"Well, that's fitting. I've always thought of you like a sister." Nightcrawler said as the two of them shared smiles.
