Ritsu felt unfortunate at the moment, her feet hurt from a hard day at work and the train home was incredibly crowded. Worst part, her demonic boss, next door neighbor and ex-boyfriend rolled into one already took the only seat available. So, she was reasonably pissed as she was forced to stand squished in front of him.
Masamune yawned tiredly as he watched Ritsu glare at the ground to avoid making eye contact. Her hand gripped the bar above them to avoid falling over in the moving train. He had a good view of her profile and could smell her natural scent. He also noted how she lost a bit of weight. If he doesn't make sure she gets the right amount of sustenance, she could collapse again. He'll need to make sure she has dinner with him to monitor her health. Dinner equals another night together. He smiled at the thought.
The train stopped, but instead of letting people off, the train received more passengers.
Ritsu lost her grip on the bar and was literally shoved onto her boss who caught her in surprise. "Sorry." Ritsu blushed deeply and scrambled to get back onto her feet. But the train moved and sent her back into Masamune.
Arms wrapped around her waist as she sat sideways across Masamune's lap.
Ritsu looked down at the arms then back at her smiling boss. "Let me up."
"Why?"
Ritsu blushed in anger and embarrassment and whispered, "This is inappropriate and we're in public."
Masamune pulled her closer, "No one's paying attention. Also, there's no room for you to stand." He stated, thanking his lucky stars for the opportunity to hold her like this.
Ritsu glanced around, but all she saw were clumps of bodies standing around taking over the spot she once occupied. She wanted to scream in frustration but held herself back to preserve whatever dignity she had left.
"Please don't do anything." Ritsu sighed as she tried to get as comfortable as possible.
"What do you mean?" Masamune asked innocently.
Ritsu glared the turned her head away with a 'hmph' while crossing her arms like disgruntled child.
Masamune chuckled as he held a pouting Ritsu. She just looks so cute right now. He pulled her closer until her head rested against his shoulder.
Ritsu blushed and tried to pull back, but Masamune held her tightly, one of his hands traveled to her hair and combed through the tresses in a soothing manner.
"Takano-san." Ritsu whispered as she looked up at him in question.
Masamune kissed her on the forehead and whispered back, "Go to sleep Ritsu. I'll wake you up when we get home."
Ritsu couldn't deny how tired she was and how comforting Masamune's hand felt on her head. Her eyelids were heavy. Try as she might to keep them open, her exhaustion combined with Masamune's touch overpowered her determination to stay awake. She sighed as she reluctantly allowed her body to relax into Masamune's embrace. Her eyelids closed, a few minutes later, she fell asleep with Masamune holding her in the crowded train.
Masamune smiled as he felt her breath even out. He ignored everything in the tightly packed train car as his other hand found hers and interlaced their fingers together. During the ride, the train became less crowded with every stop they took, but Masamune didn't want to wake Ritsu, she would throw a hissy fit and it would ruin their cuddle time. She looks so peaceful and beautiful. No scowls, no spite, or anger. He wished it could be like this all the time, just them alone cuddled up like this.
