Hey, I fell in love with this show and saw that no one has posted anything for like a year! So I thought I would make a litte something and see if anyone bite. Let me know what you think!
"So, you had a conversation with my daughter again?" Alex asks knowing the answer but wanting to breach the subject.
Kai smiles and nods while walking over to him, "Yeah… well, she was here when I came to see you. We got to talking. She told me about Bali and her mom's wedding. A lot of the stuff she got to do over there…"
"And apparently my private conversations with her." Alex cuts in getting to what he wanted to get at.
Kai looks caught with her hand in the cookie jar, "Sorta… to be fair, I told her a lot about where I was coming from before any of that came up…."
Alex chuckles and shakes his head, "I'm actually glad she told you how much I talk about you….. I feel kinda like you think I'm playing games here…."
Kai looks up into his eyes, a vulnerable look on her face, "it's not that… I just don't know where you see this going, but I kinda felt like it might be a little too early for the "where is this going" conversation after one date…
Alex takes a half step towards kai, "Kai, we aren't starting from scratch here…we've known each other for years. We're friends… You can always talk to me… When did that stop?"
Kai looks down a beat, then looks back up at him "This is different. This isn't us grabbing a couple of beers and lightly flirting while we can blame the alcohol…. It's not you looking at me that way that you do sometimes and me pretending not to notice. It's not…."
Alex interrupts. "I know what this is Kai….. At least I know what I mean it to be."
Kai takes a half step towards him looking directly into his eyes curiously, "And what's that?"
Alex reaches out to caress her cheek and she leans into it slightly, unable to hide her desire for his touch.
"everything". Alex says with a slight shrug and drops his hand.
She swallows thickly and takes another half step towards him. "You want it all?"
He nods
She looks down and fidgets with her fingers, "When?"
He brings his finger and thumb to her chin to bring her eyes back to him. Once he's sure she's looking directly at him, he says, "Whenever you're ready."
Kai continues to stare into his eyes as he drops his hand back down to his side. She brings her arms up and wraps them around his neck and with a smirk says, " I guess its my turn to take you out then."
