Uzumaki Naruto was an orphan who didn't even know about his parents other than their names and that they had left quite a sum of money behind. Of course, he didn't know the last piece of information until a year ago, when the solicitor graced him with their presence about his parent's will. He is currently studying in Metropolis University as a student in software and Robotics at age 18. He has blonde, almost golden hair with blue eyes that are bluer than a clear sky. With his godly looks, he is one of the most sought-after students in university among students and professors alike.
It was the same thing that made him a target for bullying which he mostly ignored and sometimes retaliated anonymously.
He is also an avid fan of the 'Iron-man' comics and his dream is to make a suit like Tony Stark and become a member of the Justice League like Tony was of the Avengers.
Most would think it was a fool's dream but Naruto would prove them wrong by creating a suit that also not made from common metals. He prepared a suit made up of 'nanites'. Well, it wasn't a metal, at least he was sure of it. Though it occupied space and had mass, so it was at least a matter. Due to some unknown reason, he was able to command the most useful and advanced sentient matter on earth to do his bidding, which was said to be impossible for even geniuses like Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor.
The suit was 6.2 feet in height in black with some orange schemes. The beauty of nanites was that they could shrink themselves, enabling Naruto to shrink it in the form of a ring that he wore on his left index finger.
The part where he hit the snag was when he tried to copy the arc reactor. There was no safe way of doing that. Trying to contain a nuclear reaction in something as small as a chest piece was asking for disaster and he didn't want to do that. Hey! he was student of software and robotics, not nuclear physics.
"Yaare...Yaare! What to do?" Naruto thought of other ways for replacing the arc reactor but none would be efficient.
Suddenly Naruto's head started to throb as if someone was hitting it from inside. He tried to reach for his phone to call for an emergency but went unconscious before he could do that.
In the next few hours, his brain had an influx of information from his past life as the strongest shinobi in his world.
"Ughh... that was unpleasant!" Naruto grumbled as he woke up and found himself in familiar sewers.
'Is this my mindscape? Does that mean Kurama may be here?' Naruto thought as he ran towards the place where Kurama normally used to be.
However, he was surprised when instead of a giant nine-tailed fox, a large robotic-design fox head was floating at that place.
"U-Uh Kurama?" Naruto hesitantly said.
"Yo Naruto! Long time eh~" Kurama replied in the same voice Naruto had remembered him using.
Naruto breathed a Sigh of relief then he frantically started explaining to Kurama about the world and how he was some genius in this life and finally shouting/asking what the hell happened to him.
"Naruto, I knew about everything that had happened. I was with you since you were reborn here. As for what happened to me, I am just a consciousness that can advise you and talk to you, not the infinite mass of Chakra I used to be." Kurama explained.
"Hey, I forgot to tell you. I have some cool power to control these tricky things called nanites. They are incredibly useful." Naruto informed before he narrowed his eyes at Kurama.
Kurama's face contorted into a smirk "Yeah, that would be my new ability in this world."
Naruto grumbled for a second about how he thought it was his ability and Fox stealing it but changed the topic.
"Anyways, I was thinking about the power source for my suit, like an arc reactor. I am pretty sure my chakra will work." Naruto mused.
"Huh... You are going to join that team of weird spandex and mask-wearing people! Are you alright in the head? They talk about killing criminals as if it is the greatest Sin. Even bigger than causing thousands more deaths due to those spared characters escaping their prison and causing trouble. Will you even follow those stupid rules of the league?" Kurama asked sceptical.
Naruto smirked "The only way to legally have some fun is joining the league. I don't know why the hell my new self would have thought about playing by league's rule but I don't need to do I? I am a shinobi. If they forbid me to kill someone who I deem the risk of further damaging the world and lives of innocent, I will just do that in the dark without anyone else knowing."
"Now that sounds like the Shinobi I used to know. You did manipulate the whole Elemental Nations brat. I didn't know you and that sand brat had it in you!" Kurama mused.
"Hmph! I had to work my ass off to achieve my dream. There was no way I wasn't taking full advantage of it. Not that it hurt anyone but after seeing so many bad days, Gaara and I did deserve the rest of better days." Naruto stated.
"That you did brat! That you did" Kurama agreed.
"What about my question?" Naruto asked.
Kurama sighed "There is no easy way to say it Naruto. For some reason, after your reincarnation, your chakra network seemed to be atrophied. It takes a year to fill Kage-level reserves."
Naruto winced. Chakra was something he wouldn't have imagined his life without, though his reincarnated self did live for 19 years without them, So maybe he would be fine.
"What about sage chakra then? I have Chakra reserved for about 18 Kages, so it would be fairly easy to undergo a sage mode transformation. Then you could manipulate nanites to absorb very large amounts of it so that the suit and other things could be covered for at least 5 years." Naruto grimaced thinking about being a chakra battery used to charge a power bank.
"The Idea does have some merits. Eh... why not go for it." Kurama prompted.
Naruto clapped his hands, starting to reach out to the nature. He knew even with the amount of flora lessening, Nature's power would still be dominant. It is one of the reasons he laughed at Poison Ivy, the infamous eco-terrorist. She didn't know that Humans would be completely extinguished before they were able to reduce the amount of fauna below 30 per cent.
Naruto of course, after losing Kurama in his fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki, had to rely on his ninjutsu. Kurama being the 9-tailed Biju, took the largest amount of time to regenrate. After the mayhem caused by Kawaki's overprotectiveness and Boruto's bullheadness (that he had to accept, his son inherited from him) was over, Naruto relinquished his position to Konohamaru. For a time interval of 10 years, which took Kurama to reform, Naruto had to severely depend upon Senjutsu for his seemingly infinite amount of Chakra. He had practised and used Senjutsu so much that he didn't have to sit still for minutes to gather the natural energy. Only by stilling for a moment, he was able to call upon the chakra of nature for his aid.
But Naruto hadn't used it in nearly 18 years, so it took some time for Naruto to reach the nature but what happened afterwards shocked him.
He had several visions, the first being large trees swaying in strong winds and a humanoid shape suspended within them. The humanoid turned its head in the direction of Naruto as the winds that passed him whispered something that sounded like 'The white'.
The second vision was Naruto immersed in water with waves taking the form of various aquatic life forms. The sound of water splashing gargled something like 'The clear'.
In the next vision, he found himself in red red-dominated environment with various life forms like animals surrounding a skeletal humanoid who had translucent muscles. The harmony of animals took a sound of growl and Naruto heard 'The red'.
The next vision was dominated by the greenery of fauna with gigantic humanoids made up of wood. The collective sound announced to Naruto as 'The green'.
The next vision was that of lava and rocks. A humanoid face formed in lava that gargled out to Naruto 'The melt'.
The last vision was the oddest, with numerous semi-decayed corpses of animals, humans and plants alike. A dead voice echoed around him that sounded like 'The Decay'.
"You are the chosen!" Suddenly all of the voices combined and announced and the next moment Naruto was out of the vision. Reddish pigmentation forms a red around his eyes and extends towards his cheeks. His eye turned golden and a greenish aura surrounded him. His hair got more golden tint to it.
"I am successful but what was that about?" Naruto asked Kurama.
"They were literal representations of Forces of Nature and it seemed that they liked you. You have devil's luck Naruto. You heard your chakra system was atrophied, you got access to superior natural energy at your beck and call.
"How do you know about them?" Naruto questioned.
"Because the one who brought us here told me," Kurama answered.
"B-Brought here. Who was that Kurama and why haven't you told me?" Naruto asked.
"He called himself 'The Presence'. He was infinitely powerful. He told me he was the real creator of multiverses and that every other universe know him by other names. And about not telling you, it wouldn't have made much difference." Kurama replied.
"Oh! So someone powerful brought us here without any purpose. Well good for me." Naruto replied grinning.
Kurama couldn't help but reciprocate the grin. "You were able to enter the senjutsu. Though instead of your eye appearing like a toad, you have that damned Hashirama's marking of Sage. I guess this means mastering the Senjutsu without any affiliation to animal clans."
"Hm.. that I did. Now let's store the energy into the suit." Naruto said but not before changing the shape of the arc reactor from a sphere to a fox head that matched the present Kurama.
"I guess you would be able to command the suit, it being made of nanites and all?" Naruto questioned and Kurama hummed in affirmative.
"Hm.. I won't mind having a body. Though not magnificent like my old one, it is better than nothing." Kurama conceded.
"Hey don't sweat about it. You can easily use nanites to give you your 300-meter-tall body back." Naruto assured him. "Of course can't prance around in it like you used to do in elemental nations. You can only use it for battles."
"Hell yeah! I suppose I can do that." Kurama replied with a grin on his face thought of having his body back.
"The suit stored enough Sage energy. Let me try doing ninjutsu using it." Naruto mused as he summoned the suit upon himself. To Naruto's surprise, as soon as the suit covered itself, Naruto automatically underwent Sage mode transformation.
"Cool, so when using the Suit, I don't even need to collect nature's energy. It gives me only a few seconds of advantage, but in a battle, these few seconds can account to much." Naruto murmured.
"Interesting!" Naruto thought "Odama Rasengan!" Naruto summoned the giant spiralling ball of chakra and smashed a useless machine, nearby using that. The machine was ground into pieces and Naruto didn't feel the pull on his chakra reserves.
"Well, the theory is confirmed and the experiment successful. It marks the birth of the Iron Fox." Naruto said grinning and Kurama copied the grin in his mindscape.
