Authors Note: Hey. In full transparency, this is some of the first creative writing I've ever published. In the past when thinking about writing fanfiction I would say to myself "Aren't you a little old to be writing fanfiction, especially for a cartoon." And yes, yes I am. Ultimately though this is what I want to write. I want to get better at writing. Plus having a little personal project helps the mental health. So yea. I'm pretty new at this, and this is probably rougher than I realize, but there's no getting better without practice. Hope you enjoy it, and please feel free to leave some constructive feed back. Thank you.

Oh and just to be clear I don't own Phineas and Ferb.

The school year had finally come to an end, and the Flynn-Fletcher brothers couldn't have been more thrilled to kick off their summer with a bang! Last summer had been an absolute blast, but Phineas was determined to make this one a million and six times better! The day had dawned beautifully, with the sun shining just the right amount, the sky adorned with a few fluffy clouds, and, conveniently, it was a Saturday, meaning the streets were relatively quiet, with fewer folks rushing off to work.

A typical summer day for the duo usually began with some brainstorming over breakfast. But today was different. Phineas had a plan even before they sat down at the kitchen table with their cereal. As they savored their morning meal, Phineas declared with uncontainable excitement, "Ferb I know what we're going to do today, considering how little skateboarding we get to do during the school year, especially after that freakishly long winter, I've decided that for the first day of summer, we're going to build the coolest skatepark ever!"

Ferb responded with a silent but affirmative thumbs-up. Internally, he was thrilled at the prospect of putting his engineering skills to work after a relatively mundane school year. He was content to let Phineas be the mastermind of their projects, knowing that Phineas's wild ideas often provided him with an exciting challenge. After all, what could be more thrilling than constructing a skateboard park? They had accomplished remarkable feats last summer, so this didn't seem like too much of a stretch.

"I have so many ideas!" Phineas continued. "We could have a pit filled with sharks boasting razor-sharp fins for skaters to leap over, loop-de-loop grind rails, and a colossal tunnel that erupts into a display of fireworks as you glide through it. It's going to be absolutely awesome!" Phineas practically vibrated with enthusiasm. After a school year's worth of pent-up creative energy, the first grand idea of summer was bound to be exceptionally extreme—and perhaps a tad more perilous.

The morning sun streamed through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow on their plans. They had risen early, recognizing that mapping out their day's adventure was the first step toward bringing it to life. "Come on, Ferb," Phineas urged, "we can't afford to waste any more daylight. If we don't start now, we'll be working straight through until lunch!'" Phineas stopped midway out the door and turned around. "Oh, and we can't forget Perry! He's gotta see the first big invention of the summer!" The platypus, who had been eating breakfast with the boys, was scooped into Phineas's arms. Perry growled softly as the boy picked him up, and off the trio marched into the backyard.

As Phineas and Ferb enthusiastically began construction in the backyard, the first rays of the summer sun illuminated their ambitious project. However, their creative fervor didn't go unnoticed for long. From her bedroom window, Candace stuck her head out, her irritation evident in her voice."It's the first day of summer, and it's only 6 in the morning! You guys are already up to something! Just because Mom and Dad are away for the weekend doesn't mean you can be even bigger nuisances than usual!"

Phineas, always cheerful and quick to respond, turned toward Candace. "Oh, sorry, Candace, we didn't know you were still sleeping. I mean, it's the first day of summer! Who could just stay in bed, right? Don't worry, we'll do our best to keep the noise down." He then glanced at Ferb. "Hey, did we ever finish those power tool silencers?" Ferb, without a word, headed off to the garage, silently confirming that they had indeed completed the silencers.

Candace, still annoyed despite the promise of reduced noise, slammed her window shut in frustration. She felt tempted to grab her phone and call her parents to report her brothers' early-morning antics, but a moment of reflection held her back. She knew the familiar pattern all too well. Even if she succeeded in getting Mom and Dad to rush back, Phineas and Ferb's creations would invariably disappear before her parents arrived home. It always disappeared before they got home. With a sigh of resignation, she conceded that, as usual, her brothers would escape her attempts to get them into trouble. Knowing sleep was now elusive, she

decided to get dressed and pay a visit to Stacy.

Ferb lifted his welding mask after finishing work on extremely loopy grind rails that used internalized magnets to both increase an attached skateboard's speed well also keeping the board from falling during the multiple upside-down segments. Phineas, noticing his brother was finished with what he was working on pat him on the back. "Nice work Ferb, but did we include enough flame vents along the track?"

Ferb wordlessly pulled a button out of his pocket and pushed it, instantly the entire grind rail system shot flames out through tiny holes almost imperceptible to the human eye. "Awesome" Phineas responded. He was about to suggest they get started working on the shark jump next when they were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Hey, Phineas, Whatcha doin'?" Isabella strolled into their backyard, a familiar scene that had unfolded countless times during the previous summer.

Phineas's head shot up at the sound of her voice, his face instantly lighting up with a grin. "Oh, hey, Isabella! Ferb and I are in the process of building the coolest skatepark ever to kick off the first day of summer! If you're free, we could definitely use your help; it's turning into quite an ambitious project!"

Isabella's smile faltered slightly as she replied apologetically, "I'm sorry, Phineas. It's the first day of summer, and the Fireside Girls are initiating new members. I have to be there." She hated having to turn down the offer to hang out and spend time with Phineas, but her duties as a Fireside Girl were important.

Phineas's disappointment was palpable in his response, and he quickly regretted his choice of words. "Aww, that's too bad. There's so much to do, and it'd be a lot more fun with you here,"

Isabella's thoughts raced as she absorbed Phineas's words. 'He said he'd have more fun if I was here,' she thought, a blush creeping onto her cheeks. But immediately, a pang of guilt followed, 'And I'm disappointing him.'

Seeing Isabella's frown, Phineas attempted to salvage the situation, the last thing he wanted was to make his best friend feel bad, stumbling over his words, "Hey, it's okay, I understand. Maybe you can bring some of the new Fireside Girls over to check the place out when it's done. I'll make sure to have extra skateboards ready. Oh! Maybe I can even make you a special one to show off your… leaderllyness."

Isabella playfully punched his arm, saying with a smirk, "Leaderllyness isn't a word, dummy." She then added with a wink, "But I'll still hold you to making me look really cool."

Phineas chuckled, feeling relieved that he had lightened the mood. "That won't be hard," he said with a wink. "I bet there isn't a cooler Fireside Girl in the whole country." After everything Phineas and Isabella had been through the previous summer with their friends, how could he not think she was cool? She had saved them and, in turn, the world so many times.

Isabella blushed again, quickly turning away. "Okay, see you later then!" she called out and ran out of the backyard.

With Isabella gone, the backyard felt noticeably emptier despite the massive amount of construction equipment lying around. Phineas refocused on his work, brainstorming ideas for custom skateboards. And then it struck him. "Hey, where's Perry?"

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated

After a fall, winter, and spring of failed attempts at becoming a 'good guy'—which included being a secret agent (on a technicality) and a science teacher—Heinz Doofenshmirtz was beginning to wonder if his change of heart was worth it. Deep down, he knew there was no returning to evil. It would break Vanessa's heart, and he felt so much better mentally since he had given it up. Well, except for that relapse last Christmas, but hey, relapse is part of the path to recovery.

Today, being the first day of summer, Heinz realized he had to stop procrastinating on cleaning out his basement of old and unfinished evil -inators and get them ready and packed up to be sent to OWCA. They were going to send Perry the Platypus over to check on his progress, and he was not going to be happy to see that almost no progress had been made since their last encounter.

Heading into the basement with a clipboard, he began to categorize and note down the -inators, their function, and their state of completion.

Well-Done Inator

Purpose: To make all meat in the tri-state area be cooked well done Status: Completed (not used)

Now, this was an -inator he almost felt bad about not getting to use. It was a particularly evil scheme where he would shut down all the steakhouses in the city by making all their steaks overcooked. Then, everyone would have to come to his steakhouse, and he would be rich! Rich!

He shook his head; that scheme would never see the light of day. But maybe he'd keep this one and ruin Roger's next BBQ. What? Just because he wasn't evil didn't mean he couldn't be petty towards his family.

He continued going through the -inators, and slowly, he began packing -inators into boxes, at least the ones that could fit. He was just finishing documenting the Trip-And-Fall With Your Pants Down-Inator and moving it up to his penthouse when Perry the Platypus arrived through his ceiling window. Heinz couldn't help but wonder why OWCA insisted on these meetings in his penthouse when they could just pick them up from the ground floor.

"You know, Perry the Platypus, you have a key now. You don't need to come in through the window." He sighed "At least you didn't smash it." Perry could only sheepishly shrug in response. Force of habit, perhaps. "You'll be happy to know I've actually packed up some more of the -inators. See, I was just finishing with this one, BEHOLD! Trip-And-Fall With Your Pants Down-Inator! I was going to use it to embarrass Roger during one of his speeches, but I could only get the tripping and falling part working, and it just wouldn't be the same if his pants didn't fall down."

Perry looked unamused. "What, you think that's petty?" Perry nodded. "Well, like you would understand. Anyway, don't just stand there, Perry the Judge-apus, help me pack this one up."

As Heinz turned to put the -inator away, he felt something roll under his shoe. With all the -inators he had been moving, perhaps a part had come loose. Regardless, he quickly found himself falling. Perry tried to grab him, but it was too late. He smashed right into the Trip-And-Fall With Your Pants Down-Inator, causing it to tip over. As it crashed to the ground, it activated, firing a green ray that bounced off the floor, into the ceiling, hitting a vent, and then ricocheting off the balcony somewhere into Danville.

The -inator was completely destroyed from the fall, and Heinz wasn't feeling too well himself. The next thing he knew, Perry the Platypus was standing over him with a look of concern. He brushed some debris off himself. "I'm fine, I'm fine."

He sat up, rolling his shoulder and grunting at some newfound pain. "I sure hope that ray doesn't hit anybody doing like… extreme sports or something," he mumbled.

Perry the Platypus froze for a second, with a look of something like shock on his face before quickly strapping on his jetpack. Where was he even keeping it before? Well, that question would go unanswered as he flew off, leaving Heinz yelling after him, "Hey, we're not done here! What am I supposed to do with all this mess, huh!? CURSE YOU, PERRY THE PLATYPUS!"

"Alright Ferb the park is almost finished, all we need to do now is give this baby a test drive!" The boys had made a lot of progress on the park over the last couple of hours, and Phineas was excited to get on his board. "Can you film my first run bro, I want this on camera for later we can show it off as a promo!" Ferb somehow already had the family camera out, with one eye in the lens, and gave his brother the thumbs up to go ahead

"Alright, here we go!" Phineas pushed off and coasted toward the starting point of the skatepark, the excitement building with each push. As he gained speed, he approached the first obstacle: a massive half-pipe with a twist. With a burst of energy, he rocketed up the curved wall, twisting his board beneath him to execute a flawless 360-degree spin before landing smoothly.

Next up was the pit of sharks with razor fins, a daring challenge. Phineas eyed the gap and the menacing sharks below then kicked his skateboard into gear. He launched off the ramp, soaring over the pit, and executed a jaw-dropping mid-air kickflip with precision. The board spun beneath him as he somersaulted over the pit, landing gracefully on the other side.

Phineas now headed for the loop-de-loop grind rails. He picked up speed and entered the loop, experiencing a rush of adrenaline as he raced around the curve. At the apex, he defied gravity, performing a stunning 360-degree loop-de-loop before descending to the other side.

The colossal tunnel with explosive effects was the final challenge. Phineas gathered momentum and shot into the tunnel. As he zoomed through, fireworks exploded behind him in a dazzling display. He emerged from the tunnel, triumphant, with a final flourish, executing a fakie 720-degree spin.

With the camera capturing every moment, Phineas completed his incredible run through the extreme skatepark. His adrenaline was pumping, and a huge grin spread across his face as he kept rolling. "That was amazing, Ferb! Did you get all of it?" Ferb pumped his first in response. "Alright, one of the shorter ramps during the run felt a tad too steep for casual skaters. Let me test it one more time to be sure," Phineas declared, his enthusiasm undiminished. He picked up a bit more speed, ready to hit the ramp once more.

That was the irony of it. Phineas had just executed a set of crazy stunts, yet he was going up this seemingly harmless small ramp, intended for the younger Fireside girls who would be joining them later when he was struck by a mysterious green beam from the sky. His board wobbled, and he fought to regain balance, but it was too late. He was flung off his board and into the air, seemingly suspended in time for a fleeting moment.

In that suspended moment, Phineas could see it all—the concerned look on Ferb's face as the camera dropped from his eye, the backyard fence, and beyond it, Candace on her way home. Then, with heart-pounding anticipation, he saw the ground rushing towards him

Authors Note: Just so you know this isn't planned to be a particularly angsty or tragic story. This is just setting the ground work for some cute stuff later. Hope you can trust me on that! Will try to have one chapter out biweekly at longest but could be shorter. See you soon!
