Gin's Journey.

A tale of what could've happened to Gin after episode 30, written in the style of a One Piece cover story. (Which means instead of a long and detailed story, you get a quick, fun read.)

.

.

Gin's the only one conscious on the grocery boat, which is weighed down with a giant pile of Krieg Pirates, and he's only got minutes left to live.

.

The defeated Krieg pirates are found by a random marine ship.

.

The Krieg pirates are imprisoned, and are given needed medical attention, because the rules state that prisoners are to be kept alive. (So Gin's no longer going to die from poison.)

.

Gin comes clean and tells them what happened, which amuses the marines.

.

The Krieg pirates get turned over to a completely shocked marine branch.

.

Once they recover, Don Krieg and his men attempt a daring breakout against impossible odds.

.

Taking advantage of the distraction, Gin slips away, steals a marine uniform, puts ink in his hair, and puts on glasses to pose as a new recruit.

.

Don Krieg's escape is thwarted and they're all sent back to their cells, while Gin successfully blends in with the Marines.

.

After things settle down, the disguised Gin joins some marine recruits who are sailing off to do some shopping at a nearby island.

.

On that island, Gin slips away and finds a distraught band of pirates in hiding.

.

The pirates have everything they need to traverse the Grand Line, but they've just lost their captain, and without a strong & capable man to lead them, their plans of travelling the Grand Line are impossible.

.

Gin joins them as their new captain, and they set out for the Grand Line.

.

They reach the entrance to the Grand Line during a heavy storm, and their ship nearly gets capsized by a giant whale with an unknown & horribly painted, yet strangely familiar jolly roger painted on it.

.

These pirates came with a log pose, (which Gin is surprised even exists,) so they quickly make it further than Krieg's fleet ever did, and soon escape the stormy area.

.

Taking a different route from the Straw Hats, they make it to the first island, which turns out to be home to a Marine base.

.

They try to remain hidden until the log pose resets, but that fails and shenanigans ensue.

.

Gin steals some new tonfas, and they narrowly escape to sea.

.

They visit a number of strange islands on their journey. One of which is an island full of bizarre animals that try to eat them.

.

They find an island as their heavily damaged ship is sinking.

.

That island has been taken over by the Chainblade Pirates, who have devastated the town, subjugated the population, and killed anyone who stood against them.

.

Gin and his men easily crush a group of their strongest.

.

Gin fights both Captain Chainblade and his first mate Taba the Bull while their crews battle.

.

Gin's side wins, the Chainblade Pirates are captured, the people are saved, and one stunningly beautiful woman falls in love with her saviour. (I'd give her a Mexican dancer appearance.)

.

The locals try to talk Gin and his men into staying there and becoming bounty hunters who prey on the many pirates who frequent the area.

.

They all change their names, clothes, & hairstyles, and the Silver Rum Bounty Hunters are born.

.

Marines show up and are glad to hear that the area's finally getting some proper protection, and happily pay the bounties for the Chainblade Pirates, which total up to ฿175,000,000. More than Gin's ever seen before.

.

Gin takes a real liking to his new life. He has fulfilled his Grand Line dreams, obtained a beautiful lover and a good home, regularly makes a fortune from incoming wanted pirates, is not being hunted by marines, and he has no plans on giving all that up for anything.

AN: I was inspired by One Piece: Captain Kuro's Grand Adventure by Jordan T jordanSteruya when I came up with this. I would've drawn it all out, but my hands are no good at that kind of thing anymore, and I was never a good enough artist to do justice to something like One Piece.
